Not Particularly Good Food or Service  (In My Humble Opinion)                   I had dinner here on March 2 after giving the place a few weeks to sort out the start-up kinks.  My unsatisfying experience was simultaneously bewildering, disappointing, and insulting.   BEWILDERING:   V Pizza is part cafeteria, part brew pub, and part dine-in restaurant.  When you arrive you order your food at a window which offers an unrestricted view of the kitchen (more on this view below) and get a stand-up thing with number on it for your table so they know where to deliver the food, then you go to the bar to order drinks, then you pick a table and display your stand-up thing.  All of this fussiness is confusing, and dilutes the expected dine-in experience you have when you walk in.   DISAPPOINTING:  I ordered a salad and pizza, took my stand-up thing, and attempted to order a beer and a Pellegrino at the bar.  I was successful only after I interrupted the bartender who had his back to me for several minutes.  The beer order was no problem, but he had to ask me what a Pellegrino was.   Once I took my seat and displayed my stand-up thing, the Pellegrino was delivered by the bartender and he walked off.  The problem is that he simply plopped down the unopened bottled and walked away.  No glass, no ice, no lime, no "Here's your Pellegrino" .... nothing ... just an unopened (and warm) bottle of sparkling water!    When my salad arrived it too was plopped down, and immediately I told the server that I did not order take out.  He replied that all salads were served the way I was seeing it: tightly packed in a plastic case with a tight-fitting and hinged plastic cover.  See attached photo.   The pizza had potential, but fell well short of being a fair exchange for the (steep) price charged:  it was a bad value relative to most other pizzas I have had.  Absolutely nothing special + steep price = bad value.    INSULTING:  To deliver a warm bottle of sparking water without even offering a glass or ice is amazing.   Since this is "V Pizza," not "V Salad," I am willing to accept some degree of compromise, but to serve my salad tightly contained in the same way you would buy it at a Grab 'n Go location in an airport is epic in its disregard for the customer.   Having a full-view kitchen is nice and engaging; however, the kitchen staff was cutting up and throwing things at each other.  Is it too much to ask that they do it someplace other than in the kitchen in full sight of folks ordering their food?   In my most humble opinion, V Pizza is actually an airport food court masquerading as a dine-in restaurant, minus the good pizza that airport food courts offer.  Perhaps a better pizza operation will replace these guys in this terrific location.  Just my $0.02 worth, folks. read more

Five stars on this third visit at the new V's Pizza in Cary, NC They have a nice Caprese Salad with resh pulled buffalo mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil, spring mix of crispy greens, sweetness of the aged balsamic glaze was a great starter. V's Pizza Traditional Calzone with the "OO" flour yields a wonderful Italian brick oven oven kissed crust, the fresh mozzarella is melted and creamy, ricotta cheese, extra virgin olive oil, the fragrant fresh basil is just the right touch. My Arnold Palmer was unsweetened but did not disappoint with bright lemon flavor. If you haven't stopped in a V's Pizza then make it a trip for a nice lunch or supper for some really delicious well developed signature dishes, prepared well, fast service, cheerful staff make it all the better. read more

I visited V Pizza in Cary this evening because 1) their food is amazing and 2) Randy Santel was coming to attempt their "Comeback Story" Pizza Challenge. My sister and I are big fans of Randy and arrived around 4pm so we wouldn't miss anything. Even though there was a food challenge going on, the food and service at V's was top notch as always. I had a blast eating pizza and cheering Randy on with the rest of the crowd. I will definitely be back! read more

I've been to V Pizza in Cary a few times now. Both times I sat at the bar with friends and both times I ordered wings, pizza, and beer. I think the first time I went I liked the pizza better, but the second time I liked the wings better (lol). The latest time I had the Hawaiian wings which were really good (and messy). Also had their specialty of the night which was a spicy meatball pizza. The spicy wings and pizza made for a spicy meal but was good and very filling. The pizza can take a while to be made. We asked for the wings and pizza to be brought out at the same time, but the pizza came out a while after. Not really a big deal though. For the most part, there is very good service while sitting at the bar. V Pizza has a really good selection of beers from local breweries like Fullsteam and Lynwood brewing so if you are a craft beer lover you will like their selection. I understand they just opened a second location in Brier Creek. I am sure I will get there at some point as well. read more

We were in town for a couple of days so we to stop by and have some dinner. Of every plate we order the food just got better and better. the is not thick. N tangy. It's thin n kinda sweet. I have acid reflux and it was not bother by it. The Stromboli was awesome and the other three pizza we amazing. The place is pretty n drinks menu is very good. Beers are so good also. Ok this is updated for review on buffalo chicken pizza and wings. Everything was so amazing. So much better than pizza la stella was. The buffalo chicken pizza was a special but it's by far my favorite one I've had in a long time. I haaaaate greasy pizza. This was not. It was incredibly flavorful down to fresh basil on top. Wasn't going to leave a review because it's not fair to judge a pizza spot when I'm on keto, but my experience was a bit different, so why not. If you don't figure out it's an order at the counter place, you might stand there waiting to be seated for a while. Felt a bit off to order like that given the layout and table-service vibe. I ordered two shareables to stick with low carbs: the meatballs and the Italian rope sausage. Asked for no sauce on either - chef from the back tells me the meatballs are already sauced. No prob. Was great that he told me and I just asked for no extra to be put on top. When they started bringing dishes out there was no silverware or plates given. We had to get up to ask for it. When my dishes came out I was disappointed to see slices pizza toppings on a plate where my Italian rope sausage was supposed to be. I mentioned this to the staff and eventually the manager stopped by and said it was rope sausage, but sliced up. He offered to make a whole sausage but said it would take a while and I declined. It wasn't the food, it was the principle of wording your menu to exoectations. I mean, it's just very misleading - if I order a 16oz bone-in steak and I get sliced steak, it's like, oh - that's not what I was expecting. To me, rope sausage means it's going to still be coiled - I guess being an Italian from NYC makes me hypersensitive to these things which is why I'm rambling here lol Anyways, the way it was sliced made it look frozen and processed, but it tasted great. The cherry tomatoes and garnish was super fresh and top quality. Meatballs had a nice bouncy chew to them with good flavors and enough cheese. All in all, tasty. After I finished the manager brought over a sausage order to go - unsliced. For that they get props. Clearly they care about their perception so I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of their food is slamming - I just have that luck to pick that one thing. So bottom line, will def give them a better shot on my cheat day, but wanted to point out the manager's level of commitment to customers. Always a plus. read more

Food is good, and the service is decent. Wait times are, however, way to long for the Pizza. I interstate the restaurant can get busy and I'm empathetic but we ended waiting 50 minutes for our food to come out. By the time we got our food, we were seriously considering just leaving. That said, the pizza was delicious, and wings were also absolutely worth trying. My advice would be if you're at the restaurant and it's busy just be ready to wait for a long time for your food. It's clear that they are understaffed, but if it's not too busy, have a seat. Have great day! read more

When I found out V Pizza, a Jacksonville, FL, staple, was opening in Cary, I had to pay them a visit. They're pizza mavens, but it is not widely known just how well they can make wings. The wings are wood fire roasted and once you give them a try, you won't regret it. I always opt for the Calabrian style because V's appropriately uses spice to give you a great mix of heat and flavor. Beyond the wings, they have a wide array of brews and pizza. I definitely recommend paying them a visit as the staff was friendly and very responsive to customers. read more

We had a GREAT experience during the pandemic there!! First of all, we felt very safe with all of their precautions. They are doing table service instead of ordering at the front of the restaurant. The staff all wears masks, even near the hot ovens in the back. They are also using paper plates and plastic cups. Second of all, our food was absolutely delicious. I got the flyin Hawaiian pizza which was very flavorful. The staff was very friendly and cheerful. Although the restaurant is not close to us we hope to make our way back soon! read more

Stopped here after hearing rave reviews and seeing posts. We sat outside, which I liked. The place seems to be following social distancing guidelines. I liked the paper plates, and plastic cups they were using. We ordered the Saliccia Pizza, the Chicken Artichoke Sandwich, and the Pesto MAC n Cheese. I will start out by saying that I was not a fan at all of the pizza. I wasn't even able to pick up the pizza because it was paper thin and everything just slid right off. The sandwich was a bit dry (chicken), and I'm not a fan of the hard bread that it came on. The Mac n cheese was ok, nothing spectacular. I possibly would give this place another chance, and try a more basic Margherita pizza, and maybe the wings which they seem to be most famous for. Alrighty V Pizza! Now this is what I'm talking about! Now, this is an update from my previous 2 star review. So, me and my crew of 4 came in this past Sunday to celebrate a birthday and we all decided on... you guessed it, PIZZA! We all decided to get the lunch specialty pizzas and some wings. So let's start the review off with the cleanliness of the restaurant. It was immaculate! Extremely clean, tables wiped, floor was spotless, everything was very clean and in order. Staff was very friendly, we were greeted as we came in and were immediately seated. Our drinks and appetizer orders were taken pretty quickly and service was very good. Now let's talk about the food! Now, last time I came in, I had a pretty bad experience with my food. Pizza crust was super soggy with grease as it just pooled in the middle of the pizza. However, this time... it was PERFECTO!!! Crust was crispy, none of the toppings slid off, no big pools of grease, extremely delicious. To add icing on the cake, we decided to try some of their wings and we were not disappointed! I would go so far as to say probably one of the best tasting wings in the area! We demolished those things so fast! I've eaten a lot of pizza in my life and this was honestly the best I've ever had. The sauce was fresh and flavorful and the cheese was amazing. This restaurant has descriptions of what a true Neapolitan pizza is posted around the restaurant and that is what they aim to make. I can't speak to the Neapolitan crust because I ordered a GF crust but my husband said his crust was the best he'd ever had. Though we ordered the personal lunch size pizzas, the toppings were so generous they were still quite filling. Service was prompt and employees were friendly and checked on us often. My only complaint-- it's in Cary! Please open onee of these in Raleigh. However, Cary is closer than Italy for the best pizza ever!! #offlinepremium read more

Best pizza I've had since NY, if not since Italy -- which makes sense because all their ingredients are imported from Italy. No preservatives or BS that kill the flavor. The calabrian pepper paste they make is to die for -- I added it to my Paolo pizza, and I took all myself control not to eat it all in one bite. The stromboli is delicious, and the wings added nice NY flair to the menu. We sat out on the large patio, which had great shade and excellent breeze despite the weather report saying it was 87° outside. They also have indoor seating available right now. The local beer list is also excellent. When my brother ordered a Miller Lite, our server Trey brought out a couple excellent tastings. Based on the flight I ordered, he also brought out some thoughtful tastings for me. He even found something on draft for my sister-in-law, who doesn't like beer. This place is worth the drive for takeout, as well as just for a beer in the garden. read more

Delicious pizza, friendly employees, and flavorful gelato! I dined at V Pizza on a Sunday around 3 pm. It was an off time so the restaurant was fairly empty. Since the weather was beautiful, we decided to sit outside. Here are my thoughts... Pros: -the pizza is definitely good. The ingredients are fresh, the flavors are strong, and the pizza is not overly greasy -prices are reasonable -indoor and outdoor seating available -quiet, comfortable atmosphere -spacious dining area -ample parking -as mentioned in previous reviews, it is counter service. There is an area to order food and a separate bar. Employees then deliver your order to your table -friendly employees (shout out to Albert who went out of his way to greet and engage with customers) -different employees continuously came outside to check on us including the cashier, Albert, and I believe the owner. They ensured that we received all of our orders and asked if we needed refills -they have an electronically displayed menu and print menus -gelato is rich and flavorful. We tried the pistachio and strawberry cheesecake -I appreciate how the employees consistently wear gloves Cons: -pizzas are not very customizable and they lack vegan proteins. They do advertise vegan cheese on their menu, but were out of it during my visit. I tried to then customize my vegetariana pizza, but the employee taking my order mentioned that she was unable to put those requests into the system (ex. requesting no sauce). She said she would add comments to the order and try and get back to the kitchen to tell them, but that they likely would not see the comments. This conversation confused me because the employees preparing the orders were right behind her. All she had to do to tell them was turn around. I should have asked them over the counter, since my pizza arrived without any of my requested customizations. However, due to the employee's honesty during the ordering process, I anticipated that this might happen. Even if I did the build your own pizza we would have run into the same issue. Since the pizza was made with fresh ingredients, it tasted great. -they do not have tops to the gelato cups. If you want gelato to go, they will put it in a water cup with a lid Due to their customer service and the taste of their food, I recommend this restaurant to others, however, not those with allergies or dietary restrictions. read more

V Pizza catered my wedding reception on 12/4/21 and WOW what a phenomenal experience. The food was top notch, each pizza was cooked to perfection! The owner Anthony and his team's service was impeccable plus all of my guests raved about what a unique experience V Pizza catering truck provided. We had 5 pizza flavors to choose from along with 2 types of salad. A crowd favorite seemed to be the Quattro Formaggi, but honestly everything was delicious. My friend and I had wanted to visit this spot for quite a while based on ratings. We finally had the time and paid a visit. We went with the Margherita Pizza and Piccante. Both were good, but that's it - just good which was pretty disappointing considering the ratings/reviews and price. However with that said, for the portion the price is fair - but in terms of flavor not so much - it was just lacking. We wanted to try their wings to make a more thorough review and asked for one piece, but they kindly offered 2 for no charge. The coating of the wings was great - very flavorful but I still don't see myself returning. The ambiance of this place is nice and staff is very friendly. read more

Quite the find! A family run wood burning pizza spot who celebrate imported ingredients from Italy. I can't name all the pizza's I like (the one with large slices of meatballs is yum!) but I will say if you are looking for a step above the pungent cheese and depth of flavor tomato sauce will take your mind to Naples. For this reason I will gladly give 4 Stars and when I'm in the area again, I'll give this establishment another shot at putting their best foot forward. Original Review: While the customer service was decent overall, not overly attentive for a limited crowd but pleasant, I'm disappointed in the pizza. I ordered the Carnivora after reading the reviews and my experience doesn't shadow others. The meat was fresh but the crust has so much char I could barely taste anything else. I even tried picking past the burnt areas but it was impossible to consume. Even more disappointing was the flimsy crust...only the edges had a degree of crispy. I also ordered half and 1/2 wings their house specialty and the Hawaiian. Both were properly cooked with a lovely char but the house wings weren't as flavorful as they should have been, perhaps they hadn't been marinated long enough? The Hawaiian wings were more flavorful but I'm confused about those who mentioned them being spicy. I know we all have different spice tolerances but there was literally not even a remote hint of spice. And while I enjoy heat from time to time, I'm not one who eats overly spicy food. Even one of the servers told another table that the Hawaiian wings were sweet but not spicy at all in his opinion. Smile Glad I tried this place and that others enjoy this type of pizza. Everyone is different and I have great respect for personal differences. I love New York style, Chicago and brick oven pizza. This just didn't do it for me though. read more

This place used to be good.. we supported it regularly during COVID and come in every other month or so. Unfortunately, consistency is not in the vocabulary here. We've had awesome Pesto Gouda Cavatappi one time, and then ordered it again and there was next to no cheese topping. They said it was the end of the night..well then they shouldn't have sold it! Tonight we ordered Cryin' Hawaiian wings because they were so awesome before. Tonight the wings were fatty, skin was barely cooked instead of crispy and there was very little sauce. The last time we scraped everything off the waxed paper it was so good. This time was the opposite and it was difficult to finish all the wings. Additionally, no one told us there was a last call at 8:30 when we didn't even have our pizza yet. We asked for one additional beer midway through the pizza and we're told they'd already put the plugs in the taps and too bad! Really wanted to like this place and have tried to support it. Have even mentioned how good this was in other pizza restaurant reviews, but alas, it will be a long while before we return. read more

I've seen this plenty of time while shopping at Trader Joe's but never tried anything. Well today I finally stopped by for some dinner with a friend; of course after a quick trip to Trader Joe's. Let's just say I'm glad I did and will be back. Due to covid and being a week day the inside wasn't crowded at all which was a plus in my book. But they did get a nice dinner crowd for take out orders. My friend ordered some wings a pepperoni pizza, I had a calzone with chicken, meatballs, mushrooms and spinach. Clearly our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and we should've split a pie. The food was delicious and cooked nicely. She said the wings were spicy and I could by looking at it. So the moral of this story is maybe split a pie if you're not hungry or be like us and order for dinner and lunch the next day. read more

They later told us it would only take a few minutes but by then we were already eating it, and honestly if they could remake it they should have instead of leaving up to us.
