The food was ok, the servers were friendly enough, but service was SLOW and I have never had to fight off more flies to just have a meal on the patio in my life. The staff knew it was a big issue but there was nothing being done to mitigate the complete onslaught of flies swarming all the guests on the patio. I had a grapefruit mimosa and couldn't finish it - I'm not sure what sparkling they use for their mimosas but it was so cheap it was barely drinkable. At least it was only $6 for it... The only reason I'd go back is if we have the dogs with us again, as for such a dog-friendly town, they don't have many dog-friendly restaurants to choose from. read more

Such a beautiful place to eat outside. The bacon wrapped dates were a perfect appetizer . The bartender had a nice selection of unique concoctions, so good we ordered another round. I really liked the homemade vegetarian sandwich . The fish special was also top shelf. Came here with a larger group for the first time as we were wine tasting in the area. The food was great! I highly recommend the truffle Mac and cheese with bacon, it was amazing. And the bread pudding was fantastic! Between the group we had gotten a few different mixed drinks and a mimosa flight. The mixed drinks were okay but the mimosa flight was a bit disappointing. Normally I wouldn't mind more alcohol to juice ratio but these were like 95% champagne and maybe 5% juice. Which wasn't what we were looking for with getting a flight, we were more interested in trying the different flavors offered. But being that there was hardly any juice in them they all tasted relatively the same. Overall though, everyone enjoyed their food and it was huge portions which was a nice plus. read more

My second visit. Cocktails were perfect. Good job on the pours! For food we sat outside on the patio. I had the French dip which was cooked perfectly. The horse radish was a nice addition. My wife & I rolled into the bar to begin our 32nd anniversary celebration. We've been here many times over the years. I'm very happy to say the experience was excellent again. We were greeted by Roger at the bar who is a cocktail specialist. He clearly takes great effort and pride in creating mixed drinks that are next level in taste and presentation. Prosciutto Flatbread - rather good. It suited my need for a not-heavy meal, and arugula is always welcome on my plate. The almost crackery flatbread was crispy around the edges. Yep, I'd do it again. But for $12? Hmmm. Fish and Chips - Not bad, not great. Three small pieces of fish plus a huge pile of french fries and an ordinary cole slaw... mostly filler, not worth $15. Wonderful food and drinks and the outdoor patio was beautiful on a spring day, when Camellia and Wisteria flowers were in full bloom. The water fountain added to the relaxing vibe. We enjoyed everything we ordered - salmon Béarnaise, eggplant sandwich and fish and chips. I enjoyed the arugula salad and polenta bread that came with the salmon. One of the drinks, I believe it was the black manhattan was very strong, probably better to reserve this for later in the day. The Ginger Beet Tini was fruity and more suitable for brunch. Menu is a bit on the pricier end for portions offered. 4 stars because service was slow and though we were seated right away, we had to wait quite a bit for the food to arrive. Excellent lunch yesterday at V's! Beautiful courtyard, delicious calamari and shrimp cooked perfectly crispy. The winner starter dish was the Salmon remoulade which I had never tried before, fantastic on crispy crostini. Truffle fries on point and just the right amount of garlic. Nice portions and the three of us shared, along with some ice cold beers. Perfect lunch! We will absolutely be back V's!!! read more

Oh my goodness -- SO GOOD. We stopped here for dinner on our first night in town when I was here recently with my boyfriend's mom and sister. It was a Tuesday night and they were short staffed with only two waitresses, but they were so kind and accommodating and always checked in with us. Their cocktail menu is outstanding, and we ended up going through a couple rounds of drinks because they were all so delicious. My favorite was the passion fruit martini, but their drink special, the lavender lemon drop, was also quite fantastic! We shared the truffle fries and Brussels sprouts appetizers, which were perfect starters, and for my main course I had the salmon béarnaise. The salmon was perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce and some nice fried polenta cakes. My boyfriend's sister ordered the veggie burger which was also delicious, and home made! After our meal we were asking them for their recipe :) We truly enjoyed our meal and overall experience here -- the ambiance, service, and quality of food/drink was so memorable and I will definitely be coming back here the next time I'm in town! read more

We've been long-time customers and today we ordered calamari, glass of wine, cocktail ($14), plain cheeseburger and cod tacos. It came to $96 before the tip! We wouldn't complain about the price if the food was excellent but it wasn't. The cocktail was watered down significantly, the cheeseburger was on a cold bun with dry, cool meat, and the cod tacos were cold cod tacos, completely cold. The calamari was delicious as usual. Here we were on a scorching 95 degree day unsure whether we wanted to sit inside or outside. When we got inside we realized the outdoor atmosphere suited our party much better. As we were moving to outdoors, we received dirty looks from most of the staff there. It was almost like they were offended that we changed our mind about our seating. As we sat down at our new outside seats we were soon taking by surprise when a red haired goblin of a waitress threw the menus on our table and walked away like it was nothing. We came to Murphy's for the day to try and escape the shelter in place for a day and happened to stumble across V Restaurant. My sister in law was raving about their salad so we all decided to check it out. We all ordered burgers with the exception of my sister in law who ordered a sandwich and her avocado salad she had been raving about. I actually added jalapeños to my burger and was pleasantly surprised when the jalapeños were actually spicy! The burgers are HUGE. I was honestly surprised that I ate the whole thing but it was so good and I was starving. We paired it with some pomegranate mimosas which made it much better! The staff were all very friendly and brought us a ton of ranch and BBQ sauce because we literally were going through those little Saucers like an animal. If you have a chance to stop by please do so and come hungry. We actually had dinner next door in their "upscale" dining area and the food was even better. Again, big portions so my fiancé and I split the steak plate which was more than enough. His sister had the chicken Parmesan plate with pasta which was also very good and had a nice kick to it. Oh! I'm not sure what others are complaining about but the food is excellent here. I stopped in for lunch. Went with the prime rib stroganoff which was a special pasta dish of the day I guess and it was incredible! Fresh from scratch noodles and perfectly cooked prime rib. The cream white wine sauce was also great! I will be coming back. To clarify the V has a bistro bar that's open for lunch. We were recommended this place by a business owner down the street from V Bistro. She was right on. We sat at the bar and had fabulous Bloody Marys and a good hearty lunch of Rueben Sandwich and roasted brussel sprouts! I also want to say that the girls here are very sweet and accommodating. We requested a table for eight today, 7/3. The host effectively told us to not bother waiting, as it would be at least an hour before we're seated. "What if you split us up into two tables?" My wife and I had a fabulous dining experience at the V restaurant for Valentines dinner. The pre fixe menu was perfect for all taste preferences. And, as it is said, "the proof is in the pudding"! Once again, tje V cjefs did not disappoint! We enjoyed the seafood stuffed mushroomd and devils on horseback and soup ad starters. We stopped by this place for breakfast before heading back home. This place was recommended by a staff from one of the wineries. It did not disappoint!!! The breakfast menu was delicious!!! We had 4 ppl total in our party. Everyone ordered a different dish and they were all amazing. By far the best breakfast I have ever had. I am from the Bay Area so you can imagine the array of options I have to choose from. It blows my mind that all the delicious food is made by one person. AMAZING!! My crew and I went here for Sunday brunch during our vacation, and they did not disappoint! First off, Heather the owner was so super sweet, she was running around waiting on tables and serving (also helping fix the patio umbrella we broke, again sorry!) but she is such a great human with a great personality and made the experience an even better time!
