Cute cafe. Outdoor seating. it was busy because of the "witches walk"for sure. Everyone in my party was having a good time. Until.. we decided to go inside to the bar to get drinks while waiting for our server because she was slammed. this is where the fun got interrupted by the rudest bartender, Roger. All we wanted was 2 champagne glasses and a Trader Vic Mai Tai. Roger.. you had to have known it was going to be a super busy day. that means: bring your "A"game. Not your snotty backhanded wink eye flamboyant attitude & spoil the fun. you made a great Mai Tai.. but your poor service & lack Of respect for your customers is appalling. Nothing gives you this right to behave like that. we heard you cussed out a customer too!! I cant even imagine. So you get zero stars. thank Goodness for Heather. She was so kind. I felt sorry for her as her hands were tied for a busy event and it's probably hard to get good employees. You could sense her embarrassment and knew this wasn't his first outburst. I felt her pain as she just didn't know what to say except apologize and buy our drinks . The "veggie" burger was NOT a veggie burger. It was more like those fake impossible burgers so that verbiage on menu needs to change. I couldn't even finish it. Had a sweet aftertaste and gross texture. Thank goodness for the salty fries. At least that held us over til our next stop. 5 stars for Heather. overall, I think I'd rather pour salt on my foot & eat it & not risk dealing with Roger again. Neither will my friends who frequent Murphys a lot! i will stick to the pizza next door. at least I know that's good. read more

I have been to V Bistro & Bar twice now and both times have been wonderful! On my first visit I enjoyed the Pulled Pork and Waffles! So yummy. And I can't forget the side of bacon because their bacon is delicious! Today I enjoyed a cocktail and I ordered the pulled pork and bacon! It was better than I remembered! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They have daily drink specials and have outdoor and indoor seating. This is now my go to place in Murphy's! read more

We loved our dinner here so much that we returned again for lunch the next day with our whole family. Service was very attentive , even while covering multiple tables and bartending as well. I had the bee sting, but substituted tequila for the vodka and the drink was amazing! My husband said the salmon was cooked better than any he had ever had, so hats off to the chef behind the food. I love a good beet salad and this one did not disappoint! It was so good with fresh avocado and sweet potato to accompany. It was dressed with just the right amount of vinaigrette; I ate every last bite. ;) The goat cheese was so fresh and crumbled in a perfect proportion. I had the Devils on horseback for dessert. I could not pass it up after reading such great reviews. The dates were sweet, and balanced the savory bite of bacon and blue cheese to create the most perfect taste !!! We had a great takeout dinner from here - the food was excellent, and I would have given them 5 stars if the wait had not been significantly longer than promised when I placed the order by phone. We ordered the following items: 1) 2 salmon entrees - my parents enjoyed the salmon, arugula salad, and polenta cakes (though these were a bit cold, even though we ate within 10 minutes of picking up our food) 2) Fish and chips - my husband thought this was decent, and particularly liked their unique tartar sauce 3) Angus cheese burger with side salad - delicious, fresh, and flavorful We placed our order by phone - the only hiccup is that V's website wasn't functional, and the menu on Yelp wasn't accurate (turns out their New York steak is not available every night). We appreciated the fact they allowed us to provide our credit card information by phone for safety and convenience in this Covid era. The pickup process was delayed. I was told my order would be ready for pickup in 15-20 minutes. When I arrived in 20 minutes, I had to wait another 15 minutes before my order was ready. My husband and baby were waiting in the car, so this was particularly inconvenient for me. I wish they could have simply given me an accurate ETA (35 - 40 minutes) at the time I placed the order. Separately, these folks seemed to be taking Covid safety seriously, which I appreciated - the staff wore masks (I did notice one guy's mask was below his nose at one point, but I'm hoping it was a blip), no one was permitted to wait inside for pickup, and they had a table with hand sanitizer out front, which was a nice and helpful touch. Had an early dinner this evening and it was just perfect. Started off our evening with a couple of cocktails and then proceeded with dinner. Hubby had the scallops were one of the specials of the evening and he raved about the sweet sauce. I had the beet salad, which I might add was huge and could easily be shared by 2. I am not a fan of goat cheese and asked if they could substitute or leave off. I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to substitute with feta. We also ordered the truffle fries, which were crispy and delicious. No need for ketchup or Ranch dressing as they were perfect on their own. Throughly enjoyed our dinner and evening. During both of my visits, there was a nice varied menu, and the meals we had were very good and were well executed. While we have dined at V Restaurant multiple times, we finally had the opportunity to dine at V Bistro & Bar and are we glad we did! After a fun filled day of wine tasting and wine club pick up we were feeling famished. We were unable to be seated at one restaurant because we didn't have reservations so we decided to check out V Bistro & Bar. We were seated promptly by a very friendly server and given menus. Our orders were placed and our food delivered quite quickly which was a plus because we were both really hungry. Our food was prepared wonderfully and tasted amazing! I have always liked the food here but occasionally have had service issues, particularly in the main (fine) dining room. But now the bistro posted an "unwelcome" sign out front. We waited awhile (all tables outside empty and maybe one occupied inside). No one came to seat us. But--per the sign--they saw us but were just busy. OK. Eventually we just left. This is the best place in Murphy's. I had the Mahi Mahi amazing, my wife had the French dip excellent. We split the Charred Romaine grilled romaine, applewood bacon, cherry tomatoes, bleu cheese crumbles, avocado, truffle balsamic glaze, bleu cheese. We will be coming back soon. read more

My wife and I tried this Restrant for the first time. We're in December in the holiday season. The place is nice and the waitress and the host of the place is really friendly and cheerful. We tried the mushroom soup, the calamari and shrimp and the salmon bearnaise. They were all very delicious. A girlfriend and I showed up to VBistro at eleven last Saturday. They serve breakfast til noon and start lunch at eleven. So it's that golden hour of having the option to have either. I like that a lot. I had read the reviews that mostly were negative towards the service so I was didn't have high expectations. But, we had an excellent experience with the service and the food. We had started with one server but another lady took our order. They both sort of ended up taking care of us. We didn't have to wait very long to order or for our food to be delivered. We shared a huge order of very tasty Brussels sprouts that had blue cheese bacon and was drizzled with balsamic. I had a half of a Benedict with crispy polenta with a perfectly poached egg on top. The hollandaise was delicious. I will be going back soon. read more

We've been here twice, and the food has been amazing. I think in general the bad reviews here are for the service. I would say the service staff is nice, but not the fastest, and the food does take a little while. It can take a while to get seated and get your food. If you go in with that expectation, I think you'll have a great experience if you just evaluate the food. We've tried a few of their salads, apps, and mains. Really nothing was bad. I don't know Murphys super well, but of the 3 places we've tried (that were well reviewed on yelp), this is hands down the best. read more

How could I forget to review this wonderful restaurant and bar? We visited (again) last month for another special occasion, meeting girlfriends for what turned out to be a very long lunch! Four hours long! Was this a problem for the restaurant? No. Was the service consistently good even through shift changes? Yes. Was the food and drink as expected? It was better! Murphys is such a fun little town but sometimes you need a break. Walk a few feet off the main road to enjoy a respite at this terrific restaurant. This is a nice, friendly place with several rooms so you have a choice of ambiance - and they have outdoor patio dining as well. We sat in the bar area and the service was great! We had the Crispy Calamari & Shrimp for an appetizer which was wonderful! I had the Portabella Dip which tasted very good, but really messy due to the slippery onions, cheese & sauce. My son had the Prime NY Steak and it had exceptionally good flavor. I would definitely go back to eat here! read more
