One of the best BMW repair service I have experience. They got my rear light replaced for almost free. $1.00 charge. I bet you bought else somewhere, the minimum charge was atleast $30 or more. 4x4, ABS and Brake lights up. Like most of the reviewers here I agree that Vahe is one of the most honest mechanics you will ever meet. His prices are well below what dealers charge and he will not do work which are not necessary unless you insist on it. He has the proper diagnostic equipment to work on BMW's and has worked on most of my cars including such brands as BMW, Land Rover, and Volkswagen. Vahe is really honest & good at what he does. The price is reasonable too. I accidentally hit my rear bumper to the curb once & it was detached from my car, Vahe fix it for free. Even though it took him just a couple minutes, in a rainy day, he had reasons to charge for it. I am driving an Audi now, every time when I was disappointed by the Audi dealership I would miss Vahe's place & the service there, not a fancy place but wonderful service, should consider switching back to a BMW just because of that. read more

I feel I known him well enough to consider him a friend, and I've referred several people to him, who all sing his praises. He is amazingly honest. On more than one occasion I thought more work was required on my car than needed, and I was pleasantly surprised when I received a lower bill than I thought. Vahe is the most honest ethical mechanic I've ever found! I had used him 30 years ago when he worked on Fiat and I was amazed at how he never tried to upsell repairs and was so reasonably priced. Fast forward to BMW. For years we had leased new cars that were serviced for free at the dealer with included maintenance, and then we had a third BMW that we owned and had some pricey repairs needed. I remembered passing by his sign thinking I ought to call him. The dealer quote was triple, another independent mechanic was double what Vahe charged me to repair. Vahe is a very honest mechanic. You won't feel that you got fooled after he does repairs on your car. Been going to BMW dealership in the past and it got expensive and i always felt that they were doing repairs on my car i didn't need yet and overpricing me. Not with Vahe! He will explain to you all the repairs that your car needs and just fix what your car needs. He has repaired my BMW X5 window regulator, my door handle, my gas cap, thermostat and does oil change too! He even changed a light bulb for free. He resets all your warning messages and lights when they appear. When he fixed my window regulator, he wanted to save me money and tried to use a non-bmw part, it broke again a week later and had to return. He changed it with a more expensive BMW part this time without any labor charge. A 3 hour job for free just so to make a customer satisfied and happy. I wish i had known this place before i started having repairs on my car! I live and Oxnard and still drive 40miles to his shop because i trust him with my car! Love vahe! He's a good honest mechanic! Been going to him since my first BMW 3 series year 2000 and he is always giving you ballpark estimates after he inspects whats wrong with the car. At least you have a choice before he goes in and repairs the car. He is always busy on hours from 10-5, thats what i make it a point to come early and leave the car at this shop and will receive a call from him after he has done the diagnostics and the estimated cost of the repairs. Ive done comparison with other dealers and independent mechanics, his pricing is reasonable and repair estimate times are reasonable. He doesnt have a loaner, so I suggest you have a buddy pick u up after dropping off the car. I give him 5 stars because of his honesty and quality of work. Ive had 5 bmws go through him before upgrading each one for repairs and maintenance. I called him on Tuesday, immediately after the New Year's holiday because I was afraid to drive the car. He told me he was very busy, but told me to come in. Ive been having my car serviced at Vahes since 2006 and he has always treated me fairly and honestly. I had gone in several times over a 2 year period to ask him if my breaks needed to be changed and he kept telling me there was still "meat on them" and that they could last a while longer. Needless to say now that my break change light has come on my dash I am going back to him to have them done, even if I have to pay a little more then at some of the major break repair shops. Way I see it, he has already saved me more then any of those places would have given his honesty about the life on my breaks. Highly recommended and very knowledgable when it comes to BMW. I brought my 98' 528i to Vahe based on the reviews I read here on Yelp and I am glad I did. I called a few days before I knew I could get there to drop it off and made an appointment. When I got there he was busy but took the time to go over the things I wanted done and checked. He called when it was ready and when I got there he went over everything with me. I felt he was honest and wasn't trying to tell me to do things I didn't need. He even gave my 6 year old son a brand new matchbox car that was just sitting there on his shelf. I have been going to Vahe's since 1998. You can't find a more honest and reasonable mechanic. My wife and I now live in Orange County and STILL use him as he is the best. Example - two local Huntington Beach companies wanted $500 and $390 to replace a part and Vahe did it for $200. We needed a rebuilt motor for one of our cars. The local guys wanted $5,100 for the rebuilt and new struts. Vahe said the struts were fine and charged us $3100 . I have had our cars towed to Vahe's twice now and picked them up on a Saturday. I have had mechanics in Orange County tell me i needed something done and Vahe has said it was fine. If you need work done on your car, just go to Vahe's. you may need to wait a few days as he is busy because he is so honest and reasonably priced. Don't shop, just go to Vahe's. read more

Vahe is simply honest, ethical, and very skilled. I have a 2001 BMW X5, and he has performed a handful of repairs. He doesn't try to up sell anything you don't need, and he is very reasonable with his prices. I wish all mechanics were like him. Because it is only him and one other mechanic, don't expect to receive a detailed estimate with breakdown of everything. He is too busy actually working on vehicles. Vahe deserves an amazing review! First off he uses german tools & methods for your bimmer, not like other places that use Japanese tools which is awesome.. okay so I took my 2001 740il bmw that I bought at an auction, took it to him after reading all the reviews & honestly he is a busy man but he kept my car & i picked it up later on (i took it without calling first) he checked my car to see if anything was wrong with it & thank God I got amazing news that nothing was wrong other than 2 very small things which were not important enough to even fix.. im a young lady he could have told me anything & taken my money but instead he looked happy to give me good news & didnt even care for my money & didnt even charge me to check my car.. I feel blessed after seeing how people get taken advantage of in other places.. if you want someone who is honest & isnt after your money go here.. but id go very early like before 9.. he gets busy after that or maybe call first lol. read more

Vahe is honest, takes pride in, and guarantees his work. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that he could not fix this obscure problem on my 2002 330Ci BMW. I had a pesky P2096 Post Catalytic Fuel Trim System Too Lean Bank 1 error, so I could not get it smoged nor registered at the DMV. Initially, I took the car into a very reputable indy repair shop and they quoted me a ridiculous $1,300 to do what I consider a costly trial by error fix; replace the two post cat O2 sensors ($500) and the ICV ($350) + labor ($450). From my understanding, the sensors cost ~$80 each and the ICV can be cleaned. I am an engineer and did my research - I needed someone in the San Fernando Valley who was proficient on BMW's; namely diagnosing vacuum leaks and even upgrading DME firmware. Vahe replaced the rear bank 1 O2 sensor, I paid him a fair price and was on my way, but alas the light came on again within 4 miles of leaving his shop. He admitted that he could not diagnose the problem, took back the new part, and refunded my money. Back to square one. I finally found another repair shop that initially wanted to do the same O2 sensor replacement, but after I informed them that the sensor was not the solution, they called in a service to upgrade the DME firmware. Problem solved, car smoged, and at a fair price. read more
