Took my son here for his 5th birthday and the staff was great. With kids running around and getting balls stuck in the lanes, they were very patient with the whole party. I didn't get names unfortunately but I can say I can encountered a few different people and each one of them was kind. I would definitely recommend this bowling alley for a good time! read more

Richard and Francisco at Valencia Lanes were incredibly sweet. I lost count how many times I asked them to retrieve a ball or put up bumpers. They were always so sweet, kind, and late patient. My 2 almost 3 yr old son, 14 yr old daughter, and my husband are all autistic. They require a lot of patience and understanding. Without even having to be told or warned, both of these men were incredibly helpful, attentive and supportive. My husband said he ended up seeing the owner later and the owner gave us an extra 30 minutes (our son was continuously sloping towards the end and my daughter and husband lost their bowling time) and because of his kindness they got to play more. God bless them! I grew up in this bowling alley with bowling leagues for my parents and my own. I brought my family here now that I'm 36 with children of my own to share that experience. It was far beyond anything I could've ever imagined. You have customers for life and now 3 generations in my family. We love this Bowling Alley ... Eric and Gavin are Amazing!!! Gavin was constantly cleaning and sanitizing making us feel safe and comfortable!! Eric does an Amazing job as well, when there was an issue Eric was on it, helping us reset the pins or whatever was needed they are very tentative to their customers! Had a blast here with my life group from church!! Honestly the pricing was amazing!!! Did I say it was blast? There is plenty of parking, there is great fatty foods (pizza, fries, sodas,etc). Does have a bar for those who engage in that. The service was great and the duration of time that we played really made what we paid well worth it. read more

We had a great time bowling here the other night, we showed up with a group of 8, around a quarter passed 9pm. I was expecting a wait for the lanes to free up, but to our delight there was lanes available. They recommended 2 lanes for our group, which works out perfectly with the way the lounges are set up. We ended up paying $19.50 per person for 2 hours of Cosmic bowling. Not sure if that's a good price or not, but we definitely had an awesome experience. The atmosphere was chill, music was good, they were playing those feel good sing along jams. A little too loud for my liking, but it makes you look cool when you have to whisper yell in peoples ears... lol.. On those occasions when we have to wait for a lane, we love shooting darts in the bar. You have to be 21 to be in there and they do check ID's but there's nothing like killing some time playing 501 while you wait for a lane. Put $5 in the juke box and go crazy with a playlist! Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Customer service was good, one of the employees was kind enough to take a group picture of us. read more

Unfortunate Update! This place has gone downhill recently since my last review. Something has changed for the worst. The vibe is very negative and the employees and management are extremely judgmental. Racist. The place used to feel great and clean when you walked in. Now it's dirty and icky feeling. It looks like they have new managers and new employees that are bad at their jobs and talking to customers. Our drinks were not good this time. Lillys cafe food was horrible this time. The music is too hard for family bowling. Who plays heavy metal in a bowling alley? The guys at the counter kept ignoring us. When they finally started helping us to get a lane, they were rude and said racial slurs. We asked to speak to management. At first they said no. But we demanded and one guy walked away mouthing under his breath to get the manager. The manager stuck his head out and closed the door. I guess we are not important enough. Valencia Lanes on a Tuesday is a great move! It was $2 for a game and $2 for each shoe rental. The lanes are kept clean and shiny. They also have a couple of arcade rooms with a pool table, darts, air hockey and arcade video games. They also have a full bar. Sara made us the best drinks! She made them nice and strong for us and they taste really good! She is also very pleasant to talk to. Highly recommend this place. read more

I had a birthday party there with my son for his birthday. Erin or ann was our party host and it was very busy and she was absolutely amazing. She did anything and everything we needed running around handling 3 or more partys, passing out hot dogs. She made out experience there so much better she is a sweetheart.. However there was another woman didnt catch her name but she was in a very bad mood and it seemed to me that she was being very rude and short with her staff..for that reason I wont be coming back there. Your staff shoud be reconized on their amazing commitment to providing excellent customer service. I didnt like seeing anybody be treated poorly by anybody. Good luck valencia lanes staff. Had such a wonderful experience having my son's 12th birthday here! The prices are really affordable and everything was set up when we arrived. Our party hostess Bree (sp?) was amazing and checked on us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed. They even allowed us to play a little past our allotted time until all the parents came to pick up their kids. I cannot remember the names of the gentlemen that also helped us, but they were super great as well. If you love to bowl, this is definitely a great place to host a party! We had a blast! read more

I have nothing but compliments for Valencia Lanes. It's always been a great place to take the family or hang out with friends. The staff is courteous, especially the fun bartender. The lanes and equipment are fairly nice. The game room/bar area is all new. So, I decided to host a family sports fest--six sports events throughout SCV--Bowling was our fourth event. Yvette and the staff of Valencia Lanes helped make our inaugural sports fest a success! We were able to reserved lanes, they had shoes prepared for the group by each players shoe size and best of all they had accommodating group rates. I purchased a Groupon deal for Valencia Lanes. $30 for 6 people for 2 hours including shoes. I thought, hey, it's Valencia, this place has got to be nice! Wrong! As I pulled up to the parking lot and the building was in sight I could right away realize that this was a run down bowling alley in a not so great area of Valencia. The lanes look nice and taken care of. However, their balls are in dire need of replacement! Almost every 3rd ball I picked up had dents, nicks or cracks. It can't be good for the lanes either when these balls are rolling down towards the pins. They have a little bar inside, small arcade behind a cage, ball servicing and a vending machine with wrist straps, socks etc. Overall, not the nicest bowling alley and certainly not one that I will go to without a Groupon deal. There is a much better bowling alley in Canyon Country. read more

Had a fabulous time on this warm Friday night. Took the kids and found it slightly less expensive than the Canyon Country bowling alley. It isn't as large or as up-to-date as CC, but the lanes and equipment are pretty new, it is well lit and clean, the staff is friendly and the music is great. They were great to our little kids and had lanes ready for families with small kids. The shoes are funk-free and the clientele ranged from moms with teens to Thelma & Louise to hardcore league players. It was $31 for one hour with three pairs of shoes. That's less than dinner out for our family of four...and a helluva lot more fun. read more

Came in at 8:30pm and was told that we would have to wait 15 - 25 minutes for a lane to open which we didn't mind. Then it turned 10:00pm and I asked how much longer we should wait and the guy at the front who was heavy set with a beard told me he could not tell me how much longer it was going to be and told us it was going to be another 45 minutes with over ten lanes open. Brushed us off and was very rude. We've come here many times and never experienced this. For us to spend over $100 for an hour of bowling not worth it. read more

Never thought I would make a rating but here I am. My family and I were all trying to enjoy some bowling before I left to some firefighting training with the military where we heard an announcement about free pizza due to somebodies wedding anniversary and we cheered and all thought lucky us. Time goes by and we do go and get the pizza and when we come back some guy comes a who is clearly intoxicated starts trying to start a fighting calling minors stupid and even presses up on a 15 year old when i guess it wasn't free pizza for everybody it was only for the group of people who was wearing religious bowling shirts(ironic). The made an announcement on the intercom where even the group right over also got pizza thinking the same as us. Employees clearly see the altercation and after repeated times of us apologizing for the clear misunderstanding the situation still went on and not a single employee was concerned about the screaming or drunk adults. I would go somewhere else maybe northridge or literally anywhere else because employees clearly don't care about the people who host their lanes. read more

DONT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE ‼‼ Towards the end of our bowling time, we noticed an old man who had been sitting behind us for a while. He had two stuffed animals from the claw machine and hadn't left his seat in an hour staring down the kids in different parties. He would visibly shift his stance to any kids coming his way. And here's the worst thing. I talked to him and after he admitted he wasn't with any group and just there "looking," i talked to a group of employees who all had the same response, they "couldn't do anything." They explained he was a regular who has been coming for 7+ years and hands out stuffed animals to little kids. The employee who had already been giving us terrible guest service handed me a business card explaining that apparently even their manager would say the same to me and that they were okay with this. Please don't give your business to these people. Terrible enough that we have to deal with old men like this "regular" but incompetent employees condoning his pedophilia is completely on the business. Disgusting. read more

The lady at the front desk was a little brisk, but no biggie, it's busy. We get to our lane and the system is so outdated that to start the game, you have to roll a ball to NO pins and it automatically scores as a strike, so the first person gets a higher score and no real turn. When we had problems with the balls and scoring, we tried to reset the score on the system and a bearded worker came and yelled at us, asking "don't touch the system. do you even know how to work it?" and then proceeded to "do it himself" by going behind the front desk and asking SOMEONE ELSE to do it. My group and the one next to us tried to handle it and calm things down but this bearded worker just came and yelled at us about the (outdated) system. Even after the problem was "resolved," pins still kept falling over after being set up and falling into the gutters and things. would not recommend for the service, but that's what you get for $20 bowling. read more

The whole experience just felt uncomfortable and weird. Calling to make reservations and then confirming the reservations and then the people at the front were just off and rude. I called beforehand about bringing a cake and they told me "No outside food or drinks" then when we got there people had brought boxes of pizza...also our two lanes kept malfunctioning while everyone else's was working perfectly fine. I look at some of the negative reviews here and just shake my head. The city of Valencia Los Angeles County California does not have any bad areas. These complainers should just go to Piz in Studio City and pay the nine bucks a game. You can get six games here for that price. I don't know nor care about the coupon complaints because the everyday prices are the among the lowest in Los Angeles County and certainly the lowest in such a good area. Where else can you get a lane for two hours for thirty bucks on a Saturday ? I have been around this block many times across many different states and this is your quintessential neighborhood bowling alley, an increasingly rare breed in corporate America. They have all of the proper neighborhood joint fundamentals. (1) Clean and tidy lane areas. (2) large range of selections of clearly labeled ball weights especially the lighter balls that are hard to find at some places. (3) A really good short order burger and fries restaurant. Key word here really-good, consistently fresh oil for those fries not at all a greasyspoon . (4) A quiet kid-free bar that serves strong drinks directly to the bowling area through a window. (5) A large game room that actually includes a pair of old school pinball machines. (6) A nice lady who runs small corner pro shop. Suggestion to management : need more pinball machines two is not enough. Word to the wise : call in ahead of time and get your name on the list early for the Saturday 5PM and 7PM family two hour lane rental deals. If you get there for the 7PM go ahead and pay the extra $15 so you can bowl until midnight. Think about what a spectacular bargain that is for a moment. For $40 the lane is yours (plus up to four freeloaders) for two hours on a Saturday night starting at 7PM, and then, if you paid them an extra $15 (per bowler) up front, that lane is yours until they close midnight. They don't do reservation it's based on first come first served but they usually have lane open . On Fridays they have disco style light and great music selection, we enjoy a lot and we will come back soon. Huge parking lot with Lots of parking available on site. They have also bar on site but we didn't try it. The costumer service is great with nice people . Very happy!!!. Great for parties. read more
