The restaurant was busy, which I understand, but the female manager simply told us they were full without offering a wait time or any option to accommodate us. My wife had the avocado toast loaded with fresh avocado and arugula with a delicious dressing. I had the asparagus omelet tastefully prepared with feta cheese. Went here with my plus one for brunch. Looked at both breakfast and lunch menus. I think the general idea of this place is a casual American restaurant with a touch of Mexican. I wish they'd go one way or the other. My partner had the eggs Benedict with salmon. It was good, decent. Nothing to write a long review about. The potatoes were only half cooked and had no seasoning at all - even salt. Coffee was good, drinkable. I had the carnitas. It was ok but I've had much much better. Definitely seemed as though it was made bland. So a disappointment. We thought for the price, we'd get diner size portions but we both ate everything with nothing left. So don't expect to go with a doggy bag. The bathroom was very clean which was nice. Service was friendly and prompt. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There stars which means I'd eat there again if I had to and wouldn't complain, but I don't see eating there again if I didn't have to. read more

Besides the fact that the food is always fresh and delicious every one in this quaint restaurant is friendly, polite and professional. The patio is a nice spot if you like the outdoor seating. The cleanliness is exceptional, clean tables, clean silverware and without asking for it, fresh clean water. Real napkins might I add. Did I mention how attentive the staff are? plus, plus! I came here because the food seemed to be of really good quality, which it was. However, I'm not sure if they were short-staffed, but it took them at least 10min to get a basic cup of coffee when I asked for one. It took about another 10 min to get my order in. And about 35min before I got my meal I ordered, which was a honey-lime fruit bowl and a farro breakfast bowl. The fruit bowl was ok, with just basic grapes, watermelon, and some blueberries. The farro breakfast bowl was delicious except they got my order wrong. I wasn't the only person waiting. A party of 6 next to me was waiting a long time for their food as well, asking the servers if they could check on their food. They messed up their order as well. There was one very sweet lady with her first day on the job, who was doing her best to accommodate myself and the other party. Their food philosophy is fresh, ethically sourced, etc. It is a casual vibe but I'd say it's nice enough for a date! We ordered the Benedict with spinach, a pineapple strawberry mimosa, and the churro waffles. I was very pleased with my selection of the churro waffles. I told the waitress that I was allergic to bananas. She followed up to ask how allergic I am to make sure the cook is aware and can take any necessary precautions. That's very thorough and thoughtful! I thought everything was delicious and tasted very fresh! The drink tasted more pineapple to me but you get a good amount of strawberry from the bits floating at the top. It was a good amount of booze. It didn't taste super weak but also was pleasant (not super strong). I'd like to come back to try more of their breakfast items and possible tacos! Cute little cafe in American Canyon. We arrived just before noon on a Sunday and it surprisingly wasnt super busy. We were seated right away. Looks like they have more seating outside in the back. We ordered steak and eggs, cinnamon toast crunch pancakes, and the fried chicken sandwich. The steak and eggs came with potatoes. Everything tasted great. Steak was cooked perfectly, potatoes very flavorful and it came with some type of orange sauce. It paired well with the steak. They have their own hot sauces. One was roasted jalapeno and the other thai chilies. My favorite was the thai chili. Perfect amount of spice and sweetness. Went well with everything. The pancakes were really good as well. Not overly sweet, fluffy. We also got the Hawaiian sunrise and Bellini to drink, both were good. Servers were great. I wish I could give this place a high star review because I always want to support small businesses, but I'm also very disappointed with my experience here. It was fairly busy, but tables were open and we were seated right away. As we sat there, I noticed the table that was seated after us had gotten their order taken before us and when the server came by, he wasn't the most personable, just seemed like he wanted to take our order and go. Food took about 40-45 minutes and not once did a server come by to apologize for the wait and once the food did arrive, nobody checked on us again. Strolled in on a Sunday morning for brunch and there were several tables filled inside. There were still a few tables inside and they also have outdoor dining. We sat inside by the back doors. Everything on the menu looked delicious! My friend and I shared a sweet and savory plate. Spicy chorizo eggs Benedict and the Caramel Apple Funnel Cake Waffle. The eggs Benedict was not spicy at all but very flavorful and filling. I wish there was some acidity or herbs to cut the richness. The waffle had the perfect crunchiness, chewiness, and great flavor profile. I wish that the Granny Smith apples had more tartness but I loved that it wasn't too sweet! I didn't even need or use the maple glaze. I also ordered coffee which was nice and strong. I asked for another cup, and tried the Cafe de la Olla, Mexican coffee with cinnamon and cloves. A new gem has opened in American Canyon! Valentina's is open for breakfast and lunch. I came during Brunch on Saturday, and it was packed! Happy to see that for a local business. Owners seemed busy and were getting used to things. However, they still provided great service and were apologetic about the wait. I didn't mind the wait at all! My party was still served at a very efficient time. The food is reasonably priced for brunch. Their breakfast food items mix Mexican dishes with some classic brunch dishes. This restaurant was an extremely pleasant surprise and I can't wait to come back here again! The service was excellent, we didn't wait long for anything at all. The space is a little tight but I don't mind little details like that because the food was great! My girlfriend got the churro waffles and it was real crispy and flavorful. I didn't expect it to be so crispy loved the texture. The bananas and sauce paired well with each bite and it wasn't too crispy. I got the rancheros with carnitas and though I'll admit I prefer my carnitas a bit more on the crispy side, this was still a great dish. The tortilla was crispy despite all the sauce and juice from the meat and egg yolk. I like my eggs over easy but you can get them however you like. It's a pretty hefty dish.
