French Dip with French Fries and Onion Rings

Valhalla Crossing is such a unique spot located in an old train station with part of the dining area inside a vintage train car! The ambiance is casual and relaxing, and if you sit near the tracks, you'll occasionally see a Metro North train pass by, which adds to the charm without being too disruptive. I had the French dip sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. Juicy, flavorful, and satisfying. I've tried other items on the menu in the past and they've all been solid; definitely a dependable lunch spot when I'm in the area. The only downside was that the service could've been more attentive, but it seemed like they might've been a bit understaffed when I went. Nothing major, just something to note. Overall, great food in a unique, historic setting and worth checking out if you're nearby!

This is such a cozy little spot with delicious bites! We had the quesadillas, the burger sliders, and French onion soup. Service was very nice and quick.

Very cute spot. Nice to bring the kids or a date. Even though we were in the "train car" section, our server was attentive and came out to check on us frequently. The train car is very cute! We had had a long day and were very hungry. We ordered the Shepherd's Pie and the Jambalaya, both were filling and satisfying. Good sized portions.

on October 3, 2025, I went to the restaurant After work with a couple of coworkers and I had two alcoholic drinks and an order of nachos. That's all I had for dinner and the next day I was admitted to Phelps Hospital because of food poisoning. thankfully, none of my coworkers had the nachos. I will be pursuing a small claims case. attached is the nachos I had there.

It's a bar restaurant with confort food and specials; plenty of parking. The place is deceiving and quite large prices are fair . Food is good not amazing but good, we finished our plates but in similar places we've had better . Generous portions and out pretty quickly. Now for the service it was not stellar, waitress left a few times waiting in items or disappeared; a-shame she was kind just perhaps distracted. I cannot say this place will be my favorite but may try it again.

    Excellent Chicken Philly wrap

Great food, fun ambiance, great staff - all in all a great spot to bring kids. I never realized how relaxing watching trains move at slow speeds can be.

Update again... the cranky old female bartender ruined this place for us, and the couple sitting next to us, ( they tried to order another drink but got up and left) She told me my fries were never ordered... yet I ordered them the same time as the sliders, but the fries never came and when I mention it two hours later she nastily says to me they were never ordered... rude... just tell me you forgot. Really unfortunate, they had huge portions and decent food

Great little spot for some casual food. The service was great, staff was friendly, and the ambiance was really cool and took me back in time a bit. I wasn't expecting for it to be as big inside as it was and it also had a warm, welcoming, yet cozy vibe. Will be back again! Our pretzel and chicken fingers were delicious :).

Likes - nice decoration . Warm and cozy - french onion soup delicious - next to railway and Valhalla MetroNorth station - close to attractions ( Kensico Dam Plazaand Cranberry Lake Preserve ) Dislike - service is just ok - food mmm..( dry salmon , sauce feel like sweet sour Thai sauce from a bottle -ready made and chunk of carrots but in the menu " salmon Cajun, rice and veggie"

Always passes by this place and finally got the chance to try it for dinner. What's cute about this place is that is close to the train tracks and if you get seated by the windows you get to see it. It's nice and cozy and this time of year it's decorated for Xmas. It has a variety of drinks and food. They also have a bar area. Ordered the chicken pot pie that comes in a bread bowl and it was a huge portion. Also ordered the steak with mashed potatoes. Good was good. Would come back again.

Located right off the Sprain, it's in a good location and parking is decent. It looks how it sounds, both inside and out. Nice big bar, a pizza oven front and center, and of course the fireplace. Love all of the wood. Service was good however they were empty so perhaps grading on a curve there. I got the open faced steak sandwich. Pretty formidable portion with plenty of steak, however in hindsight I should've ordered it medium. Got it with bleu cheese and there was a crapton of it. Onions/mushrooms were good. No chance in hell of picking the thing up, yet very enjoyable. My son liked his chicken fingers, mostly just eating the fries as per tradition. My wife's pizza took awhile to come which was weird as they weren't bus and the pizza guy was standing around, however we went as they opened so perhaps they were waiting for the oven to heat up. We came for a post-hockey lesson lunch and this did the job well. My son generally prefers Valhalla Crossing nearby (trains, ya know) which has a similar vibe, however wouldn't mind inserting this oldie into the rotation once in awhile.

I had enjoyed their sandwiches in the past, especially the One Upper, so I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, about two and a half hours after eating the sandwich, I became sick and vomited multiple times. The Aristocrat breakfast sandwich was the only thing I had eaten that day, and I believe it was what made me sick. The following day, I was dealing with significant stomach pain from vomiting so much. My mom called the restaurant and spoke with Marisa, who apologized and offered me a free sandwich. While I appreciated the apology, a free sandwich didn't make up for how sick I became. During the conversation, Marisa suggested that the issue may have been unrelated to the food. Given that the sandwich was the only thing I had eaten that day and I don't have any known food allergies, I felt my concerns were not fully addressed. It's disappointing because I expected the same quality I remembered, but this experience was the complete opposite. It will be a while before I feel comfortable returning.
