Honestly....this place lives up to its name. The food n drinks were amazinggg! I need to find out when Vallejo came up w this gem n why haven't I known abt it earlier?! My friends n I pulled up to the drive through around 8ish on a Thursday. Yes there was a line--which was anticipated. We got to the window probably 15, maybe 20 minutes after we ordered. The staff forgot to make 2/3 drinks that we ordered so we had to wait even longer for that but tbh, the wait was worth it. And plus, the staff were kind n efficient. That usually sticks out to me especially in the fast food industry. Anyway, five stars for the large menu (they have so much to choose from!) five stars for my avocado burger n crinkle cut fries, n five stars for my fruity pebble milkshake (MUST GET! They also have a Cap'n Crunch shake!!) To sum it up, I live abt 15 minutes away from the V but I totally would drive out here just for this. Taking place of Long John Silver, Vallejo is now home to Five Star Burger. Located off of Redwood St., which makes it pretty convenient since Redwood is a busy road. And their hours are great! Midnight everyday, except Friday and Saturday, they close at 1 AM. They have a decent menu. A variety of burgers, sandwiches, sides, desserts to choose from. Fellow Yelp Elite, Dario O. and I, ordered the Double Star and I ordered the Grilled Chicken sandwich. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything "wow" about their burgers. There wasn't anything that stood out, anything that made them different. But don't get me wrong, they do not taste bland! Five Stars is a perfect burger joint to fulfill your quick burger craving. They do serve decent size burgers/ sandwiches and for an affordable price but something was missing. The inside still has the old chairs from Long John Silvers with the signs above each one of different places for fishing, I assume. And because there weren't enough workers, I think, the place wasn't kept super clean. The floors needed a lot of sweeping; which was done as soon as we walked in. So far I waited 20 minutes at the drive thru to finally pick my order. I ordered the Avocado Burger with bacon added and a Oreo cookie shake. 10 minutes later I got my food and ate elsewhere... The Avocado Burger was good and well kept together. The Fried Pickles were alright nothing too special like a JiB finger foods. And the fries were meh. Overall the food didn't sit in the right way digestively and bad gas lol! Maybe it's because of my diet? Would I run 5 back? Yeah just to try out their jalapeño poppers and other items... Five Stars has a pretty good sized menu with everything from burgers to corn dogs to fried okra and mushrooms. That's what drew me in but the food was a little disappointing. The prices were reasonable though, for an order of fried mushrooms you only paid less than $4. It's located one block up from Wendy's. I ordered the Cali burger which is on sourdough bread with avocado. It was good, the burger was seasoned well but it was just so wet and soggy. I also ordered the fried Mac n cheese and fried mushrooms. The Mac and cheese just tasted bland and like you were eating stale pasty, Mac n cheese. Not good. The mushrooms were better, the batter was a little too salty and the mushrooms themselves were watery. They were okay. The fries were good to me...they were crinkle fries that were nice and soft. This drive-through doesn't look like much, but I was expecting a bit more due to the positive reviews here. I thought the cheeseburger was okay at a cheap price. First off I'm not sure if the people who had a bad experience here just happen to catch them on a bad day not me and my family loved it the pastrami burger was on point wife had a bacon cheeseburger she loved it and okra was not bad. Daughter had a baby cheeseburger and she ate it all and she really don't eat burgers that often. I'll pass on the popcorn chicken for me want nasty just didn't care for them. I stopped here after happening to see this spot when pulling into the local Wendy's (rite next door). I quickly Yelp-ed this place and was intrigued. I decided to try the fried mushrooms and I must say they were SO GOOD! Fresh dipped, they were crisp, yet "meaty" (meaning texture wise--no meat), seasoned just rite, and did I mention SUPER fresh. I'm not from the area but have been twice now. We also tried the cereal milkshake, it was just ok. Good quality ice cream but the cereal wasn't very crunchy. In my opinion, this is the BEST burger place in town. Burger Pattie's are huge! Never frozen, always fresh! They have a huge selection of burger combos, even offer hotdogs & BLTs. Burgers always has a great presentation upon opening your burger box. They have delicious onion rings and variety of French fries selection. My new favorite is the Bug Star lettuce wrap, hold the onion. I've also tried their Western burger and it's top notch. Do note that the waiting time at the drive thru window upon numerous experience is quite a wait. They make your order upon ordering. It's not as fast like your typical fast food place. BUT they are more restaurant style burgers. Definitely an upgrade. I discovered to order ahead is much more efficient on their website https://fivestarburgers209.com/ and you can even select the time pick-up within 15 minutes. Make sure to select the appropriate location for pick-up. Voila! No waiting. But do go inside for pick-up or you'll get stuck on the drive thru line. And all the staff are always so friendly. Just ok. Burgers were basic. Shakes were basic. They gave us chili fries instead of regular ones. But the worst part was the experience. Mad scramble trying to put food together for an order they said was ready for pick up through doordash. One employee was like "yeah my bad I accidentally hit the ready button" then the employees loudly conversed with each other back and forth about their personal lives with an abundance of foul language not everyone wants or cares to hear. For burgers and overall food quality I would say 4/5 stars but because of the excellent customer service they get a 5/5 rating. Our first experience for this tasty treat was on Christmas Day. With all of the running around family time it was nice to have food out for a small period of time. I highly recommend this burger place and appreciate the wonderful customer service!! Pretty legit spot to get a quick burger in Vallejo. Tried their mushroom burger sans lettuce and pickles and it was devine! Their fries have the perfect amount of crisp and did not need ketchup, they were that good! I also recommend their fried mushrooms, very good as well and they include a side of ranch! Well, I have to say that I'm thoroughly I'm pressed with the quality of food. The customer service could have been more interactive also the expediter was not wearing a mask. We ordered the "Mushroom and Swiss" which was absolutely fire . The "Avocado Burger" was also pretty tasty, though I found my self wanting more Avocado. Every bite I was just missing the special part of that particular burger. I think using a house made guacamole would add a better consistency to the burger, as a whole but it was still enjoyable. We also had the "Fried Okra" and "Zucchini Sticks". Honestly, fried foods are always going to hit the spot and it wasn't any different here. The food quality was fresh and felt like it was made as soon as we ordered it. If you are every craving a tasty burger for a very reasonable price I suggest checking these guys out. I doubt you would be disappointed with what you will find. The are located where the old "Long John Silvers" was. It's a familiar location that you can't miss if you know the area. It's currently raining outside, and whatever female empliyee is doing thebdrive through is yelling at everyone through the mic to pull forward ! When you do pull forward, you can tell they're not happy to be there. I get it. No one likes working fast food. No one really likes working anyways, but you don't go out of your way to make people feel like an inconvenience. We stumbled onto this place while looking for another spot but the line sold us and we changed course to 5 star. The pricing was fair and on par with the type of establishment it is. I got two burgers cut in half so I had the opportunity of trying the western and the pastrami burgers. It was good, I liked the pastrami the most. It had fresh cut onions lettuce and all. The curly fries are the best I have had in my memory. I am surprised that it has so little reviews as it line tells me that people know about them. I always have to end up parking at asking for my ranch at the counter. Then they have to discuss if they recall giving it to me. Most times it's not an issue. But really. Very clean and they have a big menu. I had the double cheeseburger and onion rings, food is excellent.

So we were excited to finally try this place out went through the drive thru and staring through the window you can see one of the workers wearing their face mask half way down and on top of that one wasn't wearing a face mask at all ! We tried the fried pickles which were OK but only came with a handful amount for the order , the cheesesteak was pretty small and they put so much whip cream in some of their floats that it doesn't even reach the top once you the whip cream melts. read more
