Bought a used fridge for $600. Within the first week the fridge stopped working. A mechanic came to repair it and it worked temporarily. It stopped working again within a week. I went out of the country for a half a year. Roommates didn't report it again and used another fridge instead. I came back, went to Valley Appliances, and was told that the warranty only lasted three months, even for something that never really worked. $600 down the drain. Also, they recommended replacing a stove, because "it wasn't worth fixing", but some simple YouTube DIY cleaning made it work.

Technician Danny Yordanov from "Valley Appliances" was AMAZING explaining all the issues in DETAIL! We've been beyond BLESSED of having two (2) UNBELIEVABLE technicians within days (AC Unit & Washer/Dryer) come & service us. FYI & the majority of times when utilizing Home Warranty (American Home Shield), service providers they hire/use is subpar (that's saying it politely). I would HIGHLY recommend "Valley Appliances" & ask for Danny as your technician so my review will speak for itself! Blessings, Gil & Sammi

Glad I chose this place outta everyone I found on yelp! What sucked about this situation my warranty had just expired! So I looked on yelp to find the most reviewed appliance repair shop in my neighborhood. So I went ahead and called valley appliances explained to them About the issues my dryer had and they were there at my house within the hr. And was able to determine the problem on the spot, it was fixed within 20 mins! Reasonably priced repairs would use again. Thank you!

i needed a dryer repair and found VA at the top of my local Yelp search. i called and Steve answered letting me know the $65 troubleshoot fee goes towards the final bill. Reading all the good reviews and watching the How to DIY video https://youtu.be/OshuvPJ3m4Q convinced me that i should go with the PRO !! Steve arrived within a couple hours and handled the problem like a relief pitcher in the 9th inning,, quick work !! watching Steve go step by step without hesitation confirmed he's a dryer expert. Steve lubricated all the moving parts and let me know all else looked in good shape. Don't waste your time searching further or risk ruining your machine by DIY,, call Steve now.

My fridge broke mid-April (04/13/20) and went to Valley Appliance. I bought the refrigerator (early 2000, maybe a little later) almost immediately it started leaking. I thought maybe it was 'fixing' itself but it persisted. I called on 05/08 and a tech came out. Ok, leave it off for 1 hrs. Done. I thought that was the end. The leak was still there. Called and on 07/01 a technician comes out again. Leave off for 1 hr. Done. Leak is still there. I get a call asking us to come I to check out another fridge. We rushed over to find that they wanted to replace it w a fridge from 1980s. Wooden handles and everything. Of course I turned him down. Today. 08/19/20, it is still leaking. I haven't heard back from Valley Appliance for a replacement I have contacted them again. Let's see what my update will be.

I was unfortunate to have my fridge quit working without any warning. Desperate, I called many appliance repair shops and 2/3 could not service my fridge and one was the wrong number on business contact. David answered the call right away when I first dialed. He was able to schedule a visit the same day within 4 hours notice. He called before he came, and was at my house less then the time he said it would take him. It took him seconds to diagnose the problem, it was a bad thermostat. He said to thaw out the freezer and he will be back the next day. Next day, came about the same time as the day prior, called before showing up, and again very prompt! Within 30 minutes he repaired my fridge and answered my stupid questions without hesitation. Overall the experience was great, he was quick, reliable, informative, and pricing was fair. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a quick fix!

Great experience with Sergey. My refrigerator was acting…read moreup, I have repaired my own refrigerators forever, but I had a spinal injury and now I can't bend and twist my body to work on things like this. My diagnosis was that the drain tube (inaccessible on this small refrigerator) and thermostat were freezing up due to the drain hose being blocked by ice. So I was interested in finding out, and if whoever came would try to "upsell" me unneeded repairs or parts. The phone was answered immediately and the nice lady made me an appointment in about 2 hours from when I called...pretty remarkable. I figured it would be a day or 2. When Sergey arrived, he was totally professional, he had the right small tools to pry the plastic covers off the back of the freezer, and let me watch, and sure enough the whole system of the drain, thermostat, etc, was totally frozen and not working. (I had been using a hairdryer on that area the last few days to thaw things out and keep it working, but I knew that there had to be more area frozen than I could affect with the hair dryer). So my diagnosis was correct. Would Sergey do what I feared most repair guys would try? Tell me it was something else, a part was broken, etc??? Absolutely NOT. He explained what was happening, HONESTLY and went to work, the most important tool he had with him ( I guess because of how I described the problem to the lady on the phone) was a sort of electric water kettle, but it could aim the stream of steam directly on an affected area. He had everything melted in maybe 15 minutes, everything was in working order, he sealed everything back up without cracking any of the plastic (!), and then we advanced to payment. Here, he actually did delete the charge for visit/diagnosis, as advertised, and I paid him a reasonable price, and now a week later everything still perfect. I really needed this fixed if possible , it is for my very small kitchen, the only refrigerator that would ever fit (only 24"x 26"x 62") and I had been shopping around online and could not find any new fridges that were that size, only smaller, and this one is so small that I basically have to go to the store every 2 or 3 days as it is. So high marks for Evotech, something that is getting harder and harder to say nowadays. The only minor niggle is that there was no warranty or anything on the repairs. But because I had never discussed that before he began work, I just accepted the fact and REALLY needed that refrigerator working again, and based on his professionalism and his discussion with me that the problem may have been the insulation on the rear of the plastic panels in the freezer had begun to deteriorate (it's 10 years old) and he could not replace that anyway. Honest, Professional, Friendly, I'm satisfied.

Parts were ordered, and I was charged a nominal service fee which is credited towards the price of repairs/parts/labor. The issue was fixed in less than a week. My wife and I contacted them for a fridge repair. They sent us a technician named Erick B, and we are going to be their customer for all the appliance issues. Erick is very polite and on time, and if there's a delay and is going to be late, he will let you know on timely manner. He explained everything as he worked on the fridge, and although the repair ended up not being possible as we were going to need a new fridge, he really did everything he could to save the fridge and us a lot of money. On top of all that, what sold me to recommend this company and decided to call them for all of our appliance needs is their customer support and aftercare service. When the first diagnosis and fix didn't repair the problem, Erick came out to do a second diagnosis and when we concluded that it's a compressor failure, he helped us research for a quality fridge to replace our old one. Now, I don't have experience with any other technicians from this company, but if they are as good as Erick, you are in good hands. So, if you are in need of appliance repair, give this place a try, and maybe you'll get to enjoy the above and beyond customer service Erick has provided us

I don't know what some of these other reviews are talking about, but my experience at Coast…read moreAppliance Parts was phenomenal. Let me set the stage. I have an LG front-loading washer, and as anyone who owns one knows, these things are notorious for their bearings going bad. Every couple of years, I have to replace the ball bearing for the inner tub and the rear bearing, along with giving the machine a good deep clean, tightening everything up, and keeping it running smoothly. It's been a good system until I recently put my washer through an eight-loads-in-two-days endurance test. That was the breaking point. We're currently housing some family who lost their home, the only home they've ever known, in the Eaton Canyon fire. Laundry has been piling up, and we're happy to help, but of course, this would be the moment the washer decides it's had enough. So I ordered the bearings from Amazon, took the machine apart, and got ready to swap them out, only to find out that Amazon sent me the wrong size. Again. This is now the second time Amazon has done this to me, so at this point, I don't even feel bad for not double-checking. They straight-up miscategorized the part. Now I've got a fully disassembled washing machine, a pile of laundry that isn't getting any smaller, and zero patience for waiting on another shipment. A quick Google search led me to Coast Appliance Parts, a place I had somehow never heard of despite all these years of fixing up my washer. And let me tell you, they saved the day. The only downside is that their prices are higher, but these are OEM parts, and that means they are built to last. I would rather pay a little more now than deal with another washing machine disaster in a few months. Service-wise, they were fantastic. There were at least four people working, three at the counter, and despite having a few customers ahead of me, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Super efficient, no hassle. I got home, put the washer back together, and everything is running smoothly again. Amazon is getting their part back again, and lesson learned, I will be skipping the middleman from now on and going straight to Coast Appliance Parts when I need something. Honestly, we need to stop shopping through Amazon. It's not always the best deal, and on top of that, we should be supporting these businesses directly instead of letting a middleman take a cut. Coast Appliance Parts had exactly what I needed, got me back up and running the same day, and now they have a lifelong customer. If you are in a crunch and need parts fast, check them out. You can even look up their inventory online before heading over. Great business, great service, and well worth it.
