The tech came to look at my build in microwave. He began by removing it from the cabinet wall, he tested , he replaced a small part, he said I will charge you $268 before taxes. I thought he was going to give me an estimate before he repair it, but he did not, meanwhile he asked to wash his hands in the kitchen faucet, of course I allowed it, but before I know it , he washes his elbows, and he put his head under the water, washes his bold head, came up splashing water all over my floor, and used my towels to dry himself off. He also looked at my broken washer, he estimated $390 for repair, I refused. He charged me $98 for service call, I told him I was given $75 for service call, he said he is the middle man, please call the office for refund. I would not call this company again. read more

I went out of the country for a half a year. Roommates didn't report it again and used another fridge instead. Wow, I'm pretty disappointed we won't be using this place anymore since we have for about 5 years now. We called for one problem and ended up with another. When I kept calling about the new current problem, they acted annoyed. They did offer our money back, a week later and 3 visits later we still have no dryer and and additional problem now. When I brought up my concern to them, I was asked if I was accusing them of breaking something? I don't know where that came from when all I did was state the facts. Our unit was working with the exception of a minor fix and now we have a different major problem. Some businesses seem to have forgotten customer service is where its at. My fridge broke mid-April (04/13/20) and went to Valley Appliance. I bought the refrigerator (early 2000, maybe a little later) almost immediately it started leaking. I thought maybe it was 'fixing' itself but it persisted. I called on 05/08 and a tech came out. Ok, leave it off for 1 hrs. Done. I thought that was the end. The leak was still there. Called and on 07/01 a technician comes out again. Leave off for 1 hr. Done. Leak is still there. I get a call asking us to come I to check out another fridge. We rushed over to find that they wanted to replace it w a fridge from 1980s. Wooden handles and everything. Of course I turned him down. Today. 08/19/20, it is still leaking. I was unfortunate to have my fridge quit working without any warning. Desperate, I called many appliance repair shops and 2/3 could not service my fridge and one was the wrong number on business contact. David answered the call right away when I first dialed. He was able to schedule a visit the same day within 4 hours notice. He called before he came, and was at my house less then the time he said it would take him. It took him seconds to diagnose the problem, it was a bad thermostat. He said to thaw out the freezer and he will be back the next day. Next day, came about the same time as the day prior, called before showing up, and again very prompt! Within 30 minutes he repaired my fridge and answered my stupid questions without hesitation. We bought a refrigerator which broke after about 7 months. They sent a guy to fix it twice, very nice, on time, but the issue ended up being a Freon leak and we needed to get a new fridge. There is a chance we just got unlucky, but I have to give one star because literally, anyone could end up leaving with a dud and have no idea. They do sell bad appliances here. Getting a bad refrigerator is actually a huge deal, it's costly, so much food is wasted, and it takes time to get a new one. I don't think any business should be selling 7 month refrigerators. These are good guys but what matters most is getting something that does the job! Maybe this is unlucky for them too, there are just some industries that cannot afford bad luck, and this is one of them. Also the washer we got from here started breaking after a few months. I will say the tech came out very quick but when he arrived did not even say hello or even acknowledge me. I showed him the washer and told him the problem. He took off the lid and quickly found the problem, a hole in a hose. He literally told me "tell your husband to order the part and replace the hose, it's very easy." I asked him if he had the part and could replace it himself and he told me "no" WHAT A JOKE!!! So I paid $45 for the diagnosis but no fix. I did go online and ordered the part for $15. FRAUD. Sad I have to use my Yelp account to write a negative review- when I just use Yelp to find good reviews! Here are my list of complaints that involve our request for refrigerator repair. 1) Upon arrival our technician gave conflicting information. Was told that sensors will be replaced and fixed. Replaced as in new? Or fixed? 2) After the fixing...or maybe using a screw driver for 30 min doing who knows what...was presented a membership to a company not named VALLEY APPLIANCES? Oh a free membership to 5-Star Appliances...this is odd... 3) My grandmother, who was there asks "may we have the old sensor"...the technician literally walks out the door and I ask him to come inside. His response was "no mam, you misunderstood me", my response "No, we both heard the same thing- new sensor." 4) He leaves with his $180 check for again...no work...and says oh if this doesnt work ill come back for a discount..of another $180 Now I have to hire another technician from somewhere else to fix what should have been done or at least give an honest attempt! Sooooo, was super hesitant about buying a USED washer/dryer. Gross. However, I longed for the mechanics of the PAST. Enough with these low water machines and my clothes not being cleaned. Walked in to this place a bit reluctantly and found a brand new washer/dryer set. If it was used, we could not tell. Ah-mazing. We bought them and they were delivered SAME DAY. They offer a 3-month warranty. On the 1st day we noticed a small water leak from the washer. Called Steve to let him know. He called us BACK on a HOLIDAY WEEKEND and said it would be repaired. Hear this, HE CALLED US ON A SUNDAY OF A HOLIDAY WEEKEND to address our concerns. He already was paid in full and the washer/dryer was delivered! What INTEGRITY!!!
