Valley Duct provided testing for the installation of a new central air unit for our newly-purchased home. Our installation was difficult one; many unforeseen issues revealed themselves and it took a far greater effort to get our machine installed than was anticipated. As nightfall came, it became apparent that the resolve to get things as right as possible was evaporating, taken over by the push to just get things over with and call it a day. Because this was a major purchase for us, leaving it in anything other than an optimal state was for us very frustrating. I left a message with Valley Duct the next day stating my disappointment that things in my opinion had fallen short of what entirely could have been done for our install. I received a phone call from the owner that same day. I was told that not only would a complete re-test be arranged at no extra charge, but that he himself would do it. On top of that, after coming out and testing the system (and making sure things were far in the clear), he ran a few extra tests and gave us advice that ended up saving us a lot of $$$! Valley Duct Testing arrived to conduct the Title 24 testing required after my HVAC unit was replaced including a duct redux. The technician was thorough and provided me with information that helped me to have a greater respect for my HVAC installation team. My system exceeds new construction code requirements. This means I will save money because of the efficiency ratings. I am awaiting the written report so I can complete the process with the city building inspector. It just so happened that the company server had issues beyond our technician's control and he was unable to print the report necessary to attach to the building permit. They will mail the copy through the US Postal Service to insure the information will not be accessed electronically by somebody not authorized to have this information. Valley Duct Testing was professional and on-time for both appointments. They were friendly and explained the steps they were taking to replace my AC unit, prepping the vents and testing the ducts. Every employee respected our home and took care of any mess and removed their shoes while inside (we don't wear shoes in our home). They also found the problem that we had been suffering with upon moving in almost two years ago; a dead skunk underneath the house. They even tried to remove it themselves. Since it had embedded into the ground, they recommended bleach to help with the decay process and reduce the smell until it was completely gone. It made all the difference! I had a new HVAC system installed in my home and Valley Duct Testing was a 3rd party vendor who came out to insure that the HVAC duct work fell within required parameters (did not exceed 15% leakage I believe). While the Valley Duct team arrived earlier than expected, this made the overall process quicker as they were able to do what they needed to do as the HVAC company performed their work. But . . . as with most things, our Heat Pump died during triple digit temperatures and we needed a replacement. The technician was professional, explained the tests he was doing and worked well with our contractor to find the problems in the duct work efficiently.
