Wow!! This was the quickest oil change I've ever received in my life! They actually time it and my oil change was exactly 7 minutes and 23 seconds!! Even with the new window wiper blades- 7 mins and 23 seconds! And yes, you do sit in your car while it's being done. Beyond friendly service with knowledgeable folks. I never felt forced to buy anything extra. It's funny, by time I was done chatting with the guy who cashed me out, the oil change was done. Everyone had a mask and I felt very safe and taken care of. I am always very wary of service shops for automobiles due to the fact that they often take advantage of the customer, offer services you don't need, or generally mess up your vehicle because of lack of knowledge and or training. I was pretty in need of an oil change though and since A. I didn't know much of this side of town where I work and B. This is right across the road from where I work and C. They emailed me a coupon, I decided to try them out. I can honestly say now that it was a great decision and this is my new go to place for basic service. I went around 12 noon and expected a rush, but with 3 bays for service and plenty of staff available, I was able to pull into a bay straightaway. Everyone in the place is super friendly, smile, and seem to enjoy their jobs. I was never pushed to buy any services, but was always given the full options, from the cheapest to the most expensive. They do recommend and quote the next oil change at 3000 miles by standard, but please go by your manual. My 2017 Kia Rio only requires an oil change every 7500 miles so that's what I go by. The basic oil change service is very thorough. They will check your lights, signals, air filters inner and outer, top off your tire pressure and all fluids and let you know any major needs from that. They will show you your air filters and let you decide if you are ready to replace those. They can replace wipers and some other things as well. I had them rotate my tires and that only took about 10 minutes and no issues. They are very good about telling you what they are doing and explaining the results of whatever they are testing. Give them your email address and you will get coupons and reminders mailed to you. Coupons usually take $5-10 off and for my basic service I think it was about $35. I have been twice now and both times was out in under 20 minutes. This location offers a great value, reliable service from qualified techs and makes an often irritating and unfriendly experience into a very pleasant one. read more

Not many people really enjoy car maintenance, but like brushing (and flossing?) your teeth, it is totally necessary. Perhaps the best thing you can do, even if its the only thing, is to have regular oil changes according to your owner's manual (which is often very different than most places recommend). ha! Oil changes are not that complicated but very dirty if you try to do it yourself. So why not let these guys do the messy work for you? The oil techs are specialized and should be able to get you in and out in less than 40 minutes. Yes, you pay a little more for the convenience and speed, but it's worth it if you ask me. The techs check a lot of things on your car (windshield washer fluid, air filter, etc.), but do NOT take up their offers to replace anything, just take note and buy them at a autoparts store. Their prices are way higher and many of their other services cost more than your local mechanic. You can sit in your car or in the lobby as they change your oil. I often sit in the car or stand outside and chat up the guys as they work. I really appreciate this as I like to keep watch over my car when someone is working on it. And, the last time I sat in the lobby there was a weird smell of plastic, but this could have been a unique circumstance. So, for about $32 you can get in, get out, and rest assured that your car has fresh fluids. *They seem to be able to match competitor's coupons for up to $7. *Turning left out of their entrance/exit is darn near impossible. Instead, follow the road that leads behind the Wendy's and use the 4 way intersection as it has a light. read more

My sisters car needed a new transmission after their services a few weeks ago. After filing a claim with them they came to the conclusion they weren't liable for damages done to the transmission. She just wanted a quick oil change however was pressured into a transmission fluid replacement. She was told it's a must do, transmission fluid replacement on a high mileage car would be good for the car even if it had never been flushed in the 151000 of the car. They prayed on a woman that doesn't know anything about cars and was strictly at their shop to get an oil change, all to make a quick sale....My sister is now out thousands of dollars after replacing the transmission. She listened to these fools and thought she could trust them, instead fell into discrimination for being a women. They had the nerve to say "We'll she was wanting the service". Don't Rapists say the same thing? Please stay away from this business. Shame on you if you have your car serviced by them. read more

I received an oil change on Monday. Drove to Indianapolis and back on Tuesday. Wednesday my Mom contacted me to tell me that there was an oil slick in her driveway where I had been parked for our Christmas get-together. I went out to the garage and sure enough there was an oil slick in my garage directly under my oil filter. I checked and the dipstick was totally dry. I added a quart and quickly drove to the store to alert them. The manager, Bobby, told me my oil was full. I told him after being parked for 18 hours the dipstick was completely dry, I've had the truck 10 years and I know what full oil on my dipstick looks like. He told me I had a transmission leak near the middle of my vehicle, nowhere near where the oil slick was in my garage. Everything was "bone dry" and sealed tight, according to Bobby. Would not refund money or do a new oil change. I came home and cleaned up all the "transmission fluid" from my garage floor but upon looking at it, smelling it, and getting it all over my hands, it was 100% oil. I back my truck in and got underneath and everything was covered in oil. Not only that, there was streak marks where he had just wiped a lot of it off in an attempt to clean it up and cover up their mistake, allowing me to leave and continue to drive with NO OIL! So he knew it was leaking. He knew I had low oil. But he lied! This place is a disgrace and I will never, ever go back to another Valvoline. I called the store twice and the first time he continued to deny saying it was not leaking oil. The 2nd time, upon telling him I knew he had just wiped it all off, he admitted it. The rest of the oil is draining now but I think I will be lucky to get the 1 quart I added before heading up there to get this resolved. read more

I generally show up at 8am right as they open, trying to get an oil change on the way to work, and all the employees are super friendly and always joke around with me while I wait. The service is quality and as a female I have never felt taken advantage of. Terrible experience. First and last time I will visit a Valvoline. Came in and my vehicle sounded perfectly fine, never had any issues mechanically. They had issues getting my filter out, when I went to leave it made a terrible sound. Manager came out and said it was the dan shroud but if it continued I'd have to take it somewhere else to have it fixed, because that's not something they do... NEVER had any issues with that before they touched it, also got home, my husband checked my oil because I was leaving on a trip the next day and they didn't even put enough oil in it. read more

This location damaged the oil pan on my car - over tightened the oil drain plug to the point the pan was dented and needed to be replaced. Over $500 in repair costs and after a few week\s of phone calls & emails, Valvoline would only issue a check for half the amount. Like that's fair. Bet I damaged something in this shop they'd bill me for the full amount of the repairs and would not accept a partial payment. Letters to Valvoline company president have also gone ignored. Very sad situation and a bad way to treat customers. Stay away from this location!!! read more

Stopped in for an oil change yesterday. When they were done, I specifically asked if they checked my tires because I hadn't seen anyone do it. I was assured that oh yes, we checked them. Also, I didn't see anyone fill the fluids. After heading home, I checked my tire gauges and they had not been filled...they were still showing low. So I stopped at the Colerain Avenue Valvoline location and asked if they could please help me. They were very friendly and very helpful. They checked , and as I thought, no one filled my tires and no one top the fluids. The manager called the Valvoline on Harrison Avenue and told him I was the second person THAT DAY that stopped in without having tire pressure checked or fluids topped off. I think for an oil change at $89.99, it should be done properly for crying out loud. Won't go back to that location. read more
