They'll try to force extended warranties and gap coverage down your throat and tell you that you do not have an option, even though you do. Hi everyone, please don't rely solely on verbal assurances from the sales or billing staff before making any payments. Always ask for written documentation and receipts for everything you pay, especially when leasing a vehicle. I leased an Ioniq 6, and I was verbally assured that if I returned the vehicle in excellent condition, $500 would be refunded. Unfortunately, that promise was not honored. Also, when you take delivery of your leased vehicle, make sure to record the serial numbers of the rims and tires. Whenever you take the car in for service, take clear photos of all the rims and tires in the presence of the service advisor before handing over the vehicle, and verify after service. We went to the service waiting area. *side note - I greatly appreciate the CLEAN restrooms, snacks, coffee, and water! VHS text me the video of the multi-point vehicle inspection - greatness! The video let me know the cabin air filter needed to be replaced, showed me the old (very dirty) one, and gave me the cost to approve - AMAZING! Two hours later we were on our way. I agree with those who are saying AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP! My wife and I purchased a vehicle for our daughter a couple days ago at this dealership and the customer experience was horrific, and I venture to say probably something I should report to the attorney general's office. Here is what happened...first, the sales consultant was clueless and obviously was someone to keep us busy until a "closer" could get to us. Seriously, someone who knows so little should NOT be in front of clients. We will get to her delivery later, but let's first talk about our experience with the closer.. Essentially, we wished to declined the "extras" and when signing the paperwork my wife noticed the price on the paperwork was significantly higher than our negotiated price. Turns out the items we wished to decline had been automatically added into the contract, making the price skyrocket, without ever giving us a choice to decline them. After squirming a bit, he tried to assure it was a simple mistake. Was it???? Personally, I have a very hard time believing that. I wonder if others have had this experience here and how prevalent this "mistake" has been with these folks. Either way the taste in our mouth is not good. The experience with the finance person after the closer was actually the bright spot of our experience. She was professional, efficient, personable, and up front and honest. If she could have been the one handling the entirety of the experience this would be a much different review. Now let's talk about the delivery experience...the sales consultant actually told our daughter, "you probably dont want to wait around for a delievery person, here's the keys, it's pretty basic, you can probably figure it out, just call us if there is something you can't figure out." Van Hyundai is UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISHONEST!! I bought a brand new hyundai palisade from this dealership back in July and have always send it to this dealership for all the maintenance work as well. After 36k miles on my car a CHECK ENGINE light popped up and the engine oil level got really low. I brought my vehicle here for that issue and was told the repair would take one week initially --it's been over 2.5 weeks and the car is still not fixed. Every time I asked for updates, staff were rude and told me to stop calling about my own car. The service director Vince was especially disrespectful--he yelled at me, threatened me, and said "let's talk man to man." They told me the car was "ready," then suddenly claimed there was another issue. When I picked it up, the check engine light was still on, and the car was worse than before. Shortly after, it seized, wouldn't shift to neutral, and left me stranded for hours. Now it won't even start. There was no engine oil in the engine and they made sure to DRAIN every but of oil from the engine before returning the vehicle to me. This dealership is a SCAM AND FULL OF CON ARTISTS, harassed me, and returned my vehicle in unsafe condition. Save yourself the stress--do NOT come here. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Afterwards, I've always had decent service experiences with Van but their location was shabby and needed a refresh. I just returned from having service done on a 2020 Santa Fe with Jerry Kennedy as my service writer. I will say first experience was a little rocky so don't get discouraged if that happens to you. I set up an appointment with Mauricio in sales and told him the used vehicle I was looking at. I get there and they are BUSY. I had to wait quite a while to check out the vehicle (it was ready) since Mauricio was helping someone. My turn came and we inspected the vehicle and drove it. It was an "as is" so I suspected there would be some issues. Pointed some out and I met with Eric His manager. Both did an amazing job addressing the issues and fixing what I came to terms was necessary with the amount I was will to spend. I had to come back the next day to speak to finance. Absolutely Disappointed, Dishonesty and Poor Experience I had one of the worst dealership experiences at Van Hyundai in Carrollton, TX. From the start, it was unprofessional, we had to hunt down a salesperson, and the one we found was sitting idly, wearing a shirt so wrinkled it looked like he had just rolled out of bed. First impressions matter, and this one was not great. We were initially interested in a vehicle that was in transit. The salesperson called me later saying they were having a "sales event." I asked for the price, and he quoted a number higher than before. When I pointed it out, he backtracked and gave me the same price as previously, so much for a "sales event." When I called him out, he just went silent. Later, when we came in to look at the vehicle, there were noticeable issues that needed to be addressed. I also asked about getting a second key and floor mats included. He came back with an absurd claim that they "normally" cost $3,000 but he could give them to us for $800, a ridiculous upsell attempt. After I declined, he suddenly "threw them in" for free. Red flag. Then came the final straw. He tried to add a charge for window tint, claiming it was done "that morning", but the car was dirty and clearly hadn't been detailed. It was obvious the tint wasn't fresh, and I felt like he assumed I wouldn't notice. At that point, I told him I was done, not just with him, but with the dealership. I refuse to do business with liars. Earlier that day, we visited a Lincoln dealership and had a completely different experience, polite, respectful, and transparent. Horrible car place Spent 3 1/2 hours of my life to be lied to by the salesman and the sales manager. Went in to get a new car told that we would have zero to $500 down regardless a credit. The only hiccup I had was a bankruptcy discharge December 2022. I have credit cards that are all up-to-date and paid. Told me that if I had a cosigner that we were 99% guaranteed. I am very upset with my experience with Van Hyundai and this is not the first time I have had this experience with them. Bryce, my service manager is extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. He screwed me over by making me an appointment to drop off my car to get fixed, before they had the parts needed to fix my car. When I dropped off my car on a Thursday, I was told I would be able to pick it up by the next day (Friday evening). I received no calls all day Friday, so I called Bryce after I was already supposed to get my car back and he then tells me that they don't have the part. If I wouldn't have taken the initiative to call who knows how long it would've been before I was let know about the situation or got a call back. Then, there was another whole situation trying to get a loaner car. First, I was never offered a loaner car after they had already inconvenienced me by keeping my car way longer then I was promised. I brought up the fact that I needed a car because I had work the next day. I was told I would get a call the next day (Saturday morning) BEFORE 12:00pm to come pick up a loaner car. Once 1pm came around and I still hadn't gotten a call, I once again called Bryce and got no answer. I left a voicemail and texted Bryce. Again, at 4:00pm I called an no answer! It had now been 4 days of my having no car after being promised I could pick up my car within 24 hours. On Monday I called Bryce again asking for a loaner car, he very pretty rude over the phone and not apologetic at all. I was given a time to come in to get a loaner car and had to wait an hour before actually getting one. I called for multiple updates on my car over the course of the week that they had it and never received any information from Bryce. Once it was time to pick up my car, I again waited an hour after they said they were pulling my car around. No Idea what took so long. Bryce told me countless times that he would call me/call me back, and never did. Even when I would call him, most of the time he didn't answer. He never answered a since text I sent either. I was looking for a car for my son and found one online at this dealership. They lie and change their stories. Every person you talk to tells you something different. They just pass you around to different people. I had one person, Peter, who was nice and tried to be helpful, but you could tell he did not know what he was doing. Alex was rude and arrogant. He just said that if you financed with us, I could get you a better deal because the banks give us money when customers finance through them, but he did not ask if he could pull our credit and see if they could match our deal. At 8:45 pm, he said, " You give me a $500 nonrefundable deposit, or we will sell to someone else. The next morning at 9 am, I told them I was on my way to pick up the car and was told it had been sold. Which they did not open till 8:30 am. They are pushy and rude. I went to a different dealership and had a much better experience. I asked for a manager to call me, and I still have not heard from one. I would use a different dealership. Alex W. listened and worked with me on the numbers, and my sales rep, Lorenzo, answered every possible question I had about a few vehicles--then, they made me a great deal on the car I wanted, for the OTD price I wanted, and they never once pressured me or tried adding on any unnecessary fees or markups. And y'all, the best part was, once we started the paperwork, I was out of there in TWENTY MINUTES. Car was fully detailed, gassed up, and waiting for me. The car needed some minor servicing, and the dealership is closed on Sundays, but first thing this morning, I got a call from the service team. We got everything scheduled for this week AND they're coming to me to get it done. Seriously, I can't say enough good things about this experience. If I could give this dealership a 0, I would have. My husband and I bought a vehicle from here and were told to bring it in for detailing due to some scuffs and stains. Supposedly, this car would look brand new once they were done. After spending 4.5 hours waiting, I received my vehicle looking the exact same as when I brought it in. It wasn't vacuumed, cleaned on the inside or outside, and the stains were never removed. Fast forward to a week after receiving this vehicle, I had a sensor issue that kept me from using Cruise Control. We were told to bring it in so they could fix the issue and that this would take 1-2 days. After calling daily to check on the status, no one was able to tell us the issue and the communication was trash. Come to find out, the salesman, Tim, screwed on the license plate incorrectly- resulting in the sensor issue. After trying to make me BUY a license plate mounting bracket, I told them I'd come pick up my vehicle after 4 days and do it myself. When we went to negotiate the final purchase price, they said it was not certified and that was an extra fee - the "Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned" full sized sticker was literally on the car window. Getting my 2026 Palisade serviced at this dealership was truly one of the worst and most stressful experiences. I first spoke to Bryce, who was originally very accommodated in getting my car in due to cylinder misfires and crank fast position issues. As I am from out of town, Bryce was very insistent that they would "take care of us" and assured me that they were the "fastest Hyundai dealership in the area." However, as the next 2 days progressed, the communication was terrible. At 9am, I spoke to Bryce, who informed me that they figured out it was a sensor issue due to low oil and would soon do an oil change. The next FOUR hours, I was left on hold for over 30 minutes multiple times for the simplest of questions, and even hung up on over 6 times. Finally, I was able to speak to Bryce, who informed me that they were "very busy" and repeated what I had heard at 9am. He then said they would get the oil changed in the next 2 hours. I understand experiencing a rush and getting busy; however, their poor time management is not a credible excuse for the terrible communication and disrespect I experienced. Thankfully, I received a text 10 minutes before the two hours were up. We were required to fill up the loaner car tank of gas, which we discovered was not full when we received it. When we arrived at the dealership, no one said hello or welcomed us in. Bryce was very curt and did not have a welcoming demeanor. They will give you the runaround if they mess up and blow you off because they have "other car deals and are so busy". On Monday I purchased a 2026 Hyundai Kona limited. They do try and heavily push warranties on you and tell you the Hyundai warranty is basically crap (which isn't true but at least I knew this from experience). Upon getting the car home, I realized none of my smart app features were working on the car. Upon calling Hyundai to get them to fix it, they informed me that my car was saying that it was still in service. At this point, I find out that the VIN Number on all of my paperwork is not the car that I thought I purchased. I proceeded to call the dealership and inform them. It's been four days now and I still do not have the correct paperwork for the vehicle I own. Including the warranty paperwork. If something were to happen while I was in this car, I am held liable and have no paperwork that I own the vehicle. On top of that, I haven't even had a sales director or anyone in upper Managment. Call me to apologize for this problem. Instead, every day I've called, I'm told we are sending the paperwork AND that they ARE SO BUSY, and it never gets sent. Then they pulled out pictures of my car with the window down "proving" they didn't break it. They flat out refused to take responsibility for the damage they did. I came in looking for a vehicle under $17,000 and was shown a Hyundai Kona listed at $15,900. The salesman, Alcario, promised the thin tires would be replaced, so I agreed to move forward. What followed was over six hours of waiting and constant runaround just to see any paperwork. When I finally met with Laura in the finance department, she tried to pressure me into buying $4,000 worth of unnecessary warranties by claiming my interest rate would be 12% without them. I refused and decided to return Monday to finish the paperwork since it was already near closing time. When I came back with my mom, the rate suddenly dropped to 6% after we pushed back -- proving the "rate increase" was a scare tactic. When we asked for an itemized list, Laura became rude and dismissive, insisting it wasn't her responsibility. After demanding transparency, we discovered the car's price had been inflated to over $20,000, despite being listed at $15,900. The sales manager claimed the markup was for "work already done," including tires, certification, and a key fob -- none of which we had agreed to. I made my budget clear from the start and would never have approved that price. Only after threatening to walk out did the general manager step in, apologize, and agree to honor the listed price. He was the only person who acted professionally and saved the deal. Before leaving, I was told the tires would be replaced that day or the next. I had to replace it myself just to drive home. Later, I had to return again for key fob programming, making it my third trip. Meanwhile, Laura began texting me from her personal phone at all hours, demanding documents she already had and accusing me of withholding forms. The form in question required her department to complete sections before it could be notarized -- something she failed to do. She repeatedly contradicted herself, claimed she "couldn't legally speak" to my mom (who owned the trade-in vehicle), and yet had no issue using her documents when convenient. Her behavior turned into constant harassment -- frequent calls, texts, and accusations that I was "keeping the car hostage," even though I had already purchased it. I made it clear that I would give her the document she requested once I came back to the dealership for the key fob, as this would have been my fourth visit at this point. It was a simple request to respect my time. When I finally went back for the key fob appointment, I waited over three hours despite having a scheduled time. During that visit, I discovered they had just finished certifying the car and performing an oil change -- the same "work" they used to justify the earlier $4,000 markup. When I confronted Alcario, he blamed me for "not waiting" for my car, referring to the time I showed up after receiving no communication at all. It has now been months since I bought my car, and I recently learned there was a mistake on the buyer's copy they gave me. They only just submitted the paperwork to the tax office -- nearly three months later. From start to finish, not one step of this process was handled correctly. I found a perfect car at this dealership, had open lines of communication with staff. However, there are hidden agenda's with their business. The car was listed online for $30,490.00. But, when I received the purchase/finance contract, the car price was listed at $35k. When asked, sales stated the price was increased because the dealer charges a $2700 fee for car restoration/inspection and included a price of $1500 to transport the vehicle from Dallas to the RGV; despite agreeing I would take care of my own transport. Sales/Finance corrected the price by removing transport but still tacked on a restoration charge. The dealer asked me about purchasing GAP insurance ONLY and automatically added in the extended warranty, without asking if this was a service I wanted. Speed up to receiving the car- THE CAR HAS AN OPEN RECALL, CAR WAS NOT DETAILED, A FULL TANK OF GAS WAS NOT PROVIDED, WINDSHIELD WAS FLUID LOW AND THE TIRES NEED TO BE REPLACED. BUT, CHARGED RESTORATION. Their online used listings DO NOT state a restoration fee is NOT included in listing price. These guys are absolute scum bags. I came in this past Saturday to buy a truck and spent about 2 hours talking numbers. I did not like their financing options so with the promise that on Monday I will have my own financing ready to go and buy the truck I left with a handshake. Monday morning comes I got my credit union and cosigner ready to go and I call back at noon asking for them to send me a purchase agreement to get things started. Sure thing they said. Never got it. I called back about 3 times that day to make sure they were sending it and that the dealer accessories were not on this agreement. But they kept telling me they were too busy and would leave a note and they would call me back. Which they never did. 8:30pm rolls around and I finally get a call back from my salesman and he tells me he needs a 1,000 dollars to reserve the truck. I never got my agreement I need to know what Im paying for before I send a non refundable payment. "Oh yah she'll get that sent to you we were real busy today". I finally get it at 9 pm and they hiked the price up about 5 grand and had 9 grand worth of dealer accessories on the agreement. About 11k higher than what was agreed upon. I asked why did the price go up? Couldn't give me an answer other than this is what the sales dept told me it was. I tried calling back this morning about 3 times but no one got in till noon. After reaching the pre owned manager who I talked to Saturday he explained it was "reconditioning fees". But that the price would be about 3 grand higher than the listed price now minus the accessories. Why?? I finally called my salesman and told him look I'm willing to pay the 1,000 and move forward but the price needs to be back to where we originally agreed on. "Sure we can do that just send us proof of residency and we're working on it now". I send to him within minutes and wait a few hours. I call back and tell him I still don't have the agreement. "Yah man looks like we sold that truck this morning you should've paid the 1,000 deposit." Are you kidding me?? You should've gotten me this purchase agreement yesterday?? Not 8 hours later after I had asked you and called you multiple times to send! If these people cared about customer service they would've treated me like I was sitting there for 8 hours waiting on this purchase agreement yesterday. The worst dealership I have ever been to and worst I have ever been treated by one. They tried to hike the price up on me twice and just sold the truck right out from underneath me and strung me along this whole day. Unbelievable. Do yourself a favor and go to any other dealership you can find. read more

Dropped my car off for a simple check engine light Saturday morning. I Was told it could be 24-48 hours, but I should get a status update before EOD. I never heard anything, and being close on Sunday, I had to figure out my transportation situation last second. I then had to proactively call on Monday before getting a notification of the findings and the status of my vehicle. That was the first negative. Then when I make it home, I notice a rip in my leather seat, so I inspected the rest of my car to find a scratch on my door. It makes me question if the work done to my car was even done correctly or with care. I see why this dealership has a terrible rating on yelp and google. I'll never bring my car here again. Lesson learned. Should have waited the 3 weeks to get it checked out at the Huffines Plano Dealership. read more

Quite possibly the worse dealership experience I have ever had. Same issues others have mentioned. Car you wanted sold before you got there and zero courtesy to make you aware of this. Really steep jack up on the MSRP. Crap you don't want to be added on to the car. Huge lowball on trade-in. I still can't get the taste out of my mouth from stepping onto the premises. Oh and about 5 different sales people cantacting me from the website infor grab before you can look at cars on their website. How they are able to sell any cars boggles my imagination. Stay far away and let's hope they go the way of the Mammoth and Do-Do. Interstate 35 construction may do them in. Here's hoping. read more
