Chris is amazing!! Living in the valley, it gets really hot during summer times, so having a working air conditioner is absolutely essential in my car. My air conditioner in my Honda civic suddenly gave out in the middle of driving, and it was about 97 degrees outside. I had to search for a nearby autobody shop ASAP nearby who can fix it, and Van Nuys Autoworks did just that. They are just in the heart of ven nuys and I needed a auto mechanic fast so I called Chris and he booked me an appointment. Chris was the one who worked on it, and he did an excellent job, because my air conditioner works better than it did before it broke down. I guess my air conditioner was overdue for maintenance, because not only is it cooler, but it blows air stronger, and makes less noise. This place is convenient for me too, because it's located right in the middle of my work in North Hollywood, and my home in Encino.  I would only to this mechanic for all oil changes ,brake repair and alignment needs from now on. read more

The mechanics at Van Nuys Autoworks took real good care of me! The service was quick, honest and truly so helpful. Alex explained to me the procedure for their safety inspection, that btw comes with a purchase of an oil change. what I can recall is that they do tire rotation as well free of charge with an oil change. Great service, wonderful people, highly recommend this place!!! My car died right in front of their shop on a Sunday afternoon, they were not even open but took my car in anyway, diagnosed, gave me an estimate within a few min, and gave me a ride home as the part needed could not be purchased on a Sunday. The next day Chris called me to say the car was fixed first thing in the morning. I am very impressed and highly recommend his place to anybody. They are good, caring people and their service and expertize are just incredible and the prices are very reasonable. My car needed some work after it wouldn't start last night. A man in the Christmas spirit gave us a jump start. I did a couple of searches online for a local mechanic, and my experience was reflective of what everyone on yelp has said. Chris assisted us, verified the trouble then let us know what was likely needed. The shop was packed this day after Christmas, despite that a couple of hours later my car was ready and the cost was definitely reasonable. These guys have won over my business! My steering seemed loose so I took my car into Pep Boys where I've always gone. They quoted me upwards of $1100 to replace both lower control arms for my steering and to get an alignment. I wanted a second opinion so I took my car into Van Nuys Autoworks. They said I didn't need to replace any parts at all and that I just needed an alignment! Wow! I feel cheated by Pep Boys taking advantage of someone that doesn't know much about car repair. I will come back to Van Nuys Autoworks again and again for everything that both of my cars need. read more

Honestly, this is truly the best autoworks shop in town. I am an owner of a 2004 Cadillac CTS and I have been coming here for over 5 years now. I've never had an issue with the work done on my car which is surprising compared to most of the stories I hear from friends who have dealt with other shops. The prices are more than fair, especially for how experienced and knowledgeable these guys are. Like I said, they've worked on my CTS more times than I can count on 2 hands and I've even sent them referrals, one of which had a JEEP. My buddy with a JEEP is now also a loyal customer. A great little gem tucked away in the Valley. The employees were extremely helpful and friendly (I didn't get any names). I dropped the car off and said I'd pick it up later (I live a few miles from there) and they had offered to give me a ride back. Oil change and tire rotation was done in no time and was reasonably priced. Parking/navigating in their lot is a bit like playing Tetris with cars, but the employees are more than accommodating to help you get in and out. Every time I come here they not only get the job done right the first time. But the best thing is you get threaded like family here. First thing they do is let you know was going on because they go over your car regarding if it's oil change or anything at all got to Love that. Not good. They're always rushing, they barely fit you in. I had to come in twice to then finally be taken in for an oil change. Worst part is they left the nozel for and oil change in the hood of my car so it was making my car make all these bad noises and scratching up the parts in it. Who knows what could have happened but it's good I caught it in time. Don't recommend. read more
