I came to drop off my car for service due to some recalls that my car had over the phone they told me that when I dropped it off they didn't know how long it would take so that they would get me an Uber back home so when I got here drop my car off they told me that they only do 5 miles wen it came to Uber and I was 11 miles away so I explained to them that's not what they told me they said they would take me home plus I had my 4 month baby with me so they where back and foreword to see what they where going to do until this amazing man Mauricio from service told me not to worry that he was going to Uber me home no matter what if that was even him paying out of he's pocket I just want to thank him for going more and beyond for me and my baby it was a hot day and he got us home at the end he was able to pull someone to shuttle me back home and managed to send the same person to pick me up wen my car was ready so thank you Mauricio again I for sure will be back for further service here at Kia in van nuys . read more

Today was supposed to be an easy day to get spare keys done. Programming and get a new cut done. It was supposed to be 2hrs and now it's turning out to be four. My kid went on my behalf and they want him to leave car overnight cuz they don't want go and get new key cut today. And the service guy laughs because my kid has to go to work and is asking them to hurry. I've been coming here to get my car serviced for two years. Handling more sensitive issues and in this easy situation is where they drop the ball. So dissapointing. read more

I don't have many positive things to say here. I purchased a brand new 2022 Kia Forte GT around the end of February. My brake fluid alert turned on in my car. I took it to another dealership and they said there was nothing wrong. A few months later it happened again and went to the Kia of Van Nuys where I purchased the vehicle. Once I arrived they said they needed to keep the vehicle. Keep in mind I purchased it at that dealership. I asked for a ride back to my house. They have a maximum mileage of 5 miles I lived 6 they refused to take me back. I was told it would be 2 weeks. It is now going on 3 the dealership had yet to contact me about progress. I called after one week at the service tech had attitude and said "I told you two weeks" I asked if the part I needed had even shipped he said he didn't know. I could understand if it was a used vehicle or it was more than a year old but we are talking about a 4 month old vehicle. I finally call the dealership today and they me that the part needed is on back order meaning that my car is indefinitely unavailable. The service tech told me that there is nothing they can do. Meanwhile I have no vehicle, I am still paying my payments. Supposedly the GM will contact me which should have happened due to needing my car for more than a week to begin with. DO NOT BUY HERE, DO NOT GET SERVICE HERE, AND DO NOT GET PARTS HERE. read more

Brand new Nir EV , I like the car very much The problem is the service department at Van Nuys Kia I bought the car in Dec of 2020 , in Jan I noticed that my the front left tire is losing air pressure , I took it to Van Nuys Kia and the just put air in my tire and told me to watch . I know have been to the service department 6 times , For a small leaking air in the front left tire , They are so rude there . kept my car for 3 hours and than told me its all good now . They put the wrong pressure in the front tires and back tires . and a month later same . leaking front tire . I took it in today and the service Forman told me he will take care of it . The guy that checked me in was rude and told me I can get a free ride home and I am not giving you a rental and you have to get your own ride back . So rude . This is my first yelp review, and i'm sad to say it was for such a terrible experience. I brought my car in to Kia Van Nuys for service due to availability and my location (usually I take it to Kia Downtown - never had a problem and one time i took it to kia in glendale - no real problems). Essentially I could tell that something was wrong with my transmission--the car would jerk when slowly accelerating. I took my car in on August 13th and was told that it would be 2-3 days to find out what was wrong. Starting on August 18th, I began calling to find out what was wrong with my vehicle and was told repeatedly that it had not even gone under service to identify the issue and it would be a couple more days. No big deal I get it people are busy its tough with covid. Finally when I had not heard back on August 21st, I called again and spoke with the service manager (who was helpful) since my rep (never once) had called me to provide an update. He told me that the car hadn't been looked at yet and started to get the ball rolling on what the issue was. I was then told that it would be a few more days. A few more days pass, and from this point forward I would call in every day. I even requested just an update -- nothing -- I had to call to find out the information. Finally I was told (after I called in) that the transmission was no good and I would need to replace it. I mentioned the warranty on the car, and I was told that it was not in warranty --which was not true -- after checking with me on the phone they realized that. Funnily, the next day (August 26th) I received a letter from kia for an unrelated recall notice. I spoke with my rep and he said that they would fix that as well. Around the same time the warranty company finally approved the fix. And I was told that it would be completed by Thursday (9/9) due to the transmission needing to be delivered and a few more days to fix. I get it. Finally around 5 pm when I still had not heard back from the service department I called on Thursday 9/9. Everything was fixed! but the paperwork needed to be established and they asked if I could get it in the morning. No problem, happy to come in -- "you all open at 7 am, can I get it then since I have to be at work at 8:30 am?". I also asked about them fixing the recall -- "What recall?". The recall notice that I mentioned, receiving a letter from. I was told that would not be an issue. I get there on friday (9/10) promptly at 7 am and was told that I came too early and that they needed to do a few more things. I then waited 30 minutes, because the car wasn't ready for me. Overall, the experience was horrible and my representative had never once called me for an update - I always had to call and double check. I will not ever go to Kia van nuys and Im overwhelmingly disappointed by the service (and my rep). The whole process took nearly a month - Brought the car in on 8/13/2021 and was completed on 9/10/2021. AND they didn't even finish everything they said they would! NEVER ONCE had an issue like this at the downtown key or the one in glendale read more
