We had an expensive babysitting evening spent in traffic to only be told that as an apology, if a car was found in the next couple days, the markup would be cut from $10,000 to $5,000. I haven't spoken to a single dealership that's charging over $5,000. *Always with the add-ons* Saw an ad on YouTube for a $15K Kia Forte. Decided to email and ask for one with no accessories. I received a response telling me to come in for a test drive. When I arrived at the dealership I was met by a salesman (not the one I had an appointment with) and we went over what I was trying to get today. I explained and he told me he'd look into. He came back and informed me that the vehicle was on their lot in Sun Valley and was about 30 minutes away (as opposed to their lot 3 minutes away?) I thought this was strange but shrugged it off. He also informed me that the vehicle would come with accessories installed for a total of $2,596. He explained that because they had offered so much of a discount at the dealer level they had to make money somewhere else. If you're wondering about the accessories they included : -Nitrogen filled tires -Elo GPS tracking - And a 7 year paint protection contract Look, I get it. We all need to make money. But maybe don't advertise a vehicle price and fail to mention an extra almost $3K on overpriced/ gimmick accessories. *In Response to Business Response* I appreciate your response and respect your companies right to price vehicles how you chose. However, the issue here is your ad specifically listed the items not included in the advertised pricing. "All advertised prices exclude government fees and taxes, any finance charges, any dealer document processing charge, any electronic filing charge, and any emission testing charge." I'm curious as to how they have 4stars because i've never been treated worse. They must have fake reviews because i had to call 3 times for a simple parts question. I wanted to get a second key for my car and the first time the guy hung up (minded after i was put on hold for 10-15 minutes) and when i called back he blamed my service (i was on wifi). I decided for a few reason's, that I won't get into, that I wanted to buy a car straight out with cash so that I wouldn't have car payments. The challenge with that is that I needed something affordable, reliable, and has the accessories/features that I need. With the arrival of the 2022 Kia's I found a brand new 2021 Kia Forte LXS in my price range that met all my requirements (plus it was an amazing blue color that I didn't know I needed in my life until I saw it) on cars.com. I looked all over at Kia car inventories from different sites and let me tell you, Van Nuys Kia by far had the most cars in stock. From the time I called and spoke to Susie who guaranteed me I could have the online price, until I went in and was greeted by reception (I'm sorry I can't remember her name!) then spoke to Ray, I felt well taken care of. Ray explained all the features, took me for a test drive, and went to his manager at least three times to make sure I had a price that would work for me. I respect a salesperson who is obviously going to bat for you. Even finance was nice and easy to work with. I had a good experience with both Art and Jhojon. Everybody was nice, but when we asked how much would it be our monthly fee with a loan, they simply lied to us. I had a doctor appointment, so they asked me for my details with the promise to talk later. While I was gone, they ran a hard inquiry on my credit score without telling me and without my authorization. This affected my credit score. They didn't even answered my request to cancel the inquiry. We weren't buying with them, they could have ran a light inquiry or wait for me to know my credit score.
