The shadiest of business practices. I worked with a seemingly nice enough "new guy" Moussa and a rotund, arrogant "floor manager" who I believe was named Luis. After giving a firm time by which I needed to leave (plus 15 min and 5 min warnings which was probably my bad and allowed them the opportunity...), these unethical folks decided it would be ok to BLOCK my car in to try to detain me. Did they really think THAT would change my mind and get the sale? They delayed and delayed getting me the "numbers" I was promised would be ready the moment I returned from a test drive as I was walking out to go on said test drive. Moussa also tried tricking me into running my credit when no permission was given or request granted. He was using the information from my drivers license (asked for it again and again!) even though he'd already made a copy of it. I left my phone number and email address to be followed up with (before discovering I'd been blocked in upon trying to leave!) for the "numbers" and they were never provided, seemingly out of spite for not being willing to spend more than 3 hours there. The cherry on top of all their nerve was sending out a finance guy to "chat" with me about my intentions with my leased vehicle (which they already had asked and knew!) while I had to WAIT for them to "find someone" to move the car they blocked me in with. After having very unsavory and unsatisfying experiences at other Kia Dealers I was pleasantly surprised at the Customer Service I received at Kia Van Nuys! There were some recalls that needed to be completed, and Martha Hernandez was A Customer Service Queen ~ provided a lovely warm greeting, was friendly, relaxed, professional, efficient. The contrast between her and some of the other people I have experienced through KIA over the years ~ be it Corporate or other dealers was of Cosmic Proportions. Not only did they do a great job, they also had an air conditioned place for people to sit, with coffee and tea. In addition to that, their facility was very clean and everyone there was friendly, engaging and smiling. (You don't see that much ANYWHERE you go). And, they washed the car, too! I told Martha and the Department Head next to her that if I did'nt have a good experience this go around, I was going to sell the car. I wanted to leave a review after test driving today. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised at the sales customer service as this dealership. 4-5 stars for sure on the review. Having had a really bad experience years ago at the Keyes Hyundai down the street ,I was skeptical, but have the Kia dealership a shot to test drive the Telluride. Big shout out to Mousa S and Cris T in the sales department for being incredibly accommodating on the test drive. I laid out our parameters pretty clearly and have to say I did not get a bit of the typical sales push back and rushing to get the sale that happens at some dealerships. Anyway...My wife and I were going to have to split our test drive due to a scheduling issue where one of us went in the morning and the other on the evening. I was blown away that the sales team offered to take the car on a test drive to my house so my wife could see it there and not have to come By later that day. (To be fair I live within 5 miles of the dealership so it was reasonable and not a huge time suck for anyone). But service like this is it what I was expecting and was a pleasant surprise. STOP!!!!!!! Do not purchase or Lease a Car here. The Maintenance Service is the worst ever. It took them two months to take in my car in and make an appt. because the screen went out. Then they had to diagnose it for 10days and they gave me no rental car because they say they don't offer when they diagnose it. The diagnose took 15days and still no car after the 10th day. They never called me I had to show up because they never answer my calls. Also I lease a brand new car and the screen when out within a 1 year and I had to pay for the screen bc insurance didn't cover that problem. Do not go through what I'm going through. I was in last night to see about trading in an existing lease for a hybrid. I met with RJ who had the car & keys ready and waiting for me to get there to test drive. They offered me water & made sure I was comfortable. RJ along with Michael the sales director worked hard to get a deal together that worked for everybody. They were super friendly, easy to talk to, and knowledgeable about the cars & the industry in general. You could tell the two of them really care about the customer. I'm so grateful. With these gas prices going up the way they are it's going to be so amazing to have such a reliable and fuel efficient car. I have taken in the car multiple times and today I took the car in for service for an oil change and for a part which was the inside front light assembly, the service guy told me that they would not be able to fully fix the part due to not having anyone onboard. They were also told me they were understaffed and to go another Kia or go to one in Carson to fix my issue or come back in a month on a Monday through Thursday. I checked in after an hour which was qouted to me for the service and had no response through text or through call. Went over there and the car was ready but not washed and wanted to waste another 30mins to wash the car. I am very disappointed with the way I've been treated and the way the car runs. read more

This will be my second review for this Kia service center . I was here in the past and the service was not good . So I came back 5 months later to try and give them a second chance . But this time it was 10 times worts . My car was in the shop for 8 days and the only thing that got done was the basic service . They couldn't get the window switch fixed like the last time I was there . Also a noise from the steering wheel they told me it wasn't safe to drive so my car needed to stay longer , but then they tell me I could come pick up my car . After the fact I kept pushing about the status of my car . I can't believe this dealership won't get things done . But they will make you spend your money . So after spending 303.00 dollars for a services and 550.00 dollars for a rental car so they can have the time to fix all the problems with the car . They fail to do so . I took my car back with just a basic service done I can't believe I left my car here for 8 days and nothing got fixed . But they asked me for more time of course with me having to continue to pay for the rental car . At no time did they offer to help with the rental cost . Now I'll have to wait I don't know how long for a call to bring the car back and have them try to fixed it . Meaning I will have to leave this car again for who knows how long . . read more
