The service department is a huge rip off. They were trying to charge me almost $800 for a roof rack due to the labor. If you are thinking of buying a brand new Kia the warranty does not include maintenance of the car. I drove almost 30 minutes to be told that I would have to pay between 150 and $200 to get an oil change and tire rotation's. When I purchased the car brand new from them they did not include floor mats or a spare tire. I do not recommend this company in you desire great customer service. read more

I hit a dip and started pulling to the right and I was worried that I may have broken something. Ismael was able to help me out. He was very communicative by explaining to me what they were going to do and he even kept me updated on the service of my car. He wasn't pushy or tried to sell me unnecessary services. The price was a little bit over but obviously it's a dealership, it's gonna be pricey. In the end, they didn't find anything broken and they aligned it correctly. Fast, Easy, Professional!!!! This has to have been the Best and Easiest car purchase I EVER had. I have owned 6 cars before and working with Omar and the staff at Van Nuys Kia location was truly amazing. I was in and out of the location in 3 hours. It would have been shorter if i was better prepared. I knew which car I wanted, I emailed Omar the Stock ID, told him what I wanted my monthly payments to be, had a trade in, and what my down payment would be. We all know when you go to a car dealership, they want to sell you the car and you want to buy a car, but everyone there makes you feel like an old buddy that just came home after a long trip. Super professional and not one time did I feel like I was being rush to make a decision. They did EVERYTHING to ensure I was within my budget. They gave me more for my trade in than what Kelly Blue Book suggested, they gave me every discount possible! So much so, I was going in to Lease the car and they drop the price so much and gave me every possible discounts, I am no longer leasing the car. Luis the Store Manager called the GM to approved all my condition so that to own the car I would only pay $10.22 cents more. I now had to option to own it! Normally a lease is $100-200 cheaper. So when they came back to me and said I could own the car for just $10.22 more per month, I truly felt BLESSED! Be Prepared: Regardless on which dealership you go to, have the following documents ready, it will save you time: Copy of : Current Insurance, DD214 if military/Retired, Registration on trade in, Payoff Amount on Trade in. What can you afford: Knowing how much you can afford per month is KEY. Letting the location is a big time saver. Ask for final Price including GAP and Maintenance cost. This way when you start signing for you car you are not surprise there is an increase in $30-60 per month for total coverage outside the normal warranty. Have a price range on what you can afford, What you would like to pay and the VERY max. You have to reasonable with your payments, you will not have a monthly payment of $250 for a $40k car with zero down. Use the Website Payment Calculator to see what you can afford. If the car is listed on the website for $20k always add an average of $3500 on top of what the car cost for Tax+Lic fees (this typically adds $105 to your monthly payment) That is every Dealership you go to. I came in on a Sunday without an appointment and was seen right away. I came for a 2020 Kia Forte and they were all out of their 2020 stock so I ended up with a 2021. My grandma was co-signing on the car and they drove the papers all the way to Orange County for her to sign, so that I could drive off the lot the next day. They really went above and beyond on that point. They helped me get a deal I could actually afford. I didn't notice until I drove off, but the car came with a full first aid kit, an emergency kit (jumper cables, screw drivers, gloves, glow stick, etc), and a trunk organizing catty. Do yourself a favor and do not bring your car here to get serviced. -they will keep your car for three days before doing a diagnostic. -they do no answer their phone so you cannot get a status update on your car -they are not aware of what is covered under your warranty and attempt to charge you for things that you should not have to pay for -they will give you your car back with promises to call when the part they need arrives and then never call, even though the part is sitting in your shop -they will offer to call you a Lyft to take you home and then not be able to because Lyft is surging and it is out of their budget -they claim to wash your car as a consolation and it will still be dirty -they will offer to gas up your car as consolation and then simply not -they will make an appointment to finally replace the part on your car claiming it will take 4 hours. You will leave it there for three days while you leave for the weekend, knowing how it has gone in the past. When you try to pick it up, it will still not be done. -you will receive no compensation or apology for how you are treated or the fact that they have held your car hostage for days at a time. ***Update: Brianna has replied to my review giving me the number of the GM of the store to help fix this issue. I have asked to speak to a manager over a dozen times and always been told that a manager is not available. I even reached out to corporate who told me that the issue should be resolved by the dealership. She even confirmed it the night before and asked me to get to the dealership when they opened at 10am on Sunday. Sales / financial end convicted me purchase maintenance package because Kia does an offer a 3600 /3year mile service package I paid an additional $3000 for the service package 15,000 mile schedule maintenance was due two weeks ago May 2022 they told me I have to pay $600 out of my pocket in order to get my car serviced the only thing a $3000 cover was oil change it's a RIP off !
