They have the best selection of cars, but the most important part is the people who work there. Michael Passage gave me the best car buying experience than any other dealerships. Add Covid stress to everything bad you can think of about the car buying experience, and you have Russell Westbrook Maserati. Their showroom is basically a super spreader event. No temperature checks, no limit to how many people are inside, they rope you into unnecessarily long negotiations inside small unventilated office spaces.The windows are papered over so you can't see from the outside what a zoo it is in there.. so just don't go in. I left kicking myself for letting them keep me inside that mess for so long, do they use it to their psychological advantage? Maybe so. I discovered later that a dealer add-on that I DIDNT WANT but eventually paid for just to get the hell away from the place isn't even listed on my bill of sale, so I have proof of paying the amount but no work order to show what it's for. I've called twice to get it with no result, the intention seems to be to charge me for nothing and just keep the cash. Be aware that their advertised prices are simply a lure to get you in, they are not real. They (claim to) add thousands of dollars of BS dealer add-ons that are not advertised and say they can't be removed, so the advertised price on their site is one thing and the sale price (surprise) is another thing. Nightmare places like this are literally why Carvana does so well. read more

Be sure to be on top of things and don't expect much follow up from this dealer on any issues or questions. I bought a used car at this dealership in late February 2020. I was told that the dealership can probably get us an additional car key directly from Nissan at a lower price than we would get. Called the dealership for extra key a couple of times. They never returned our calls. When license plate stickers still haven't arrived in May, I called the DMV to inquire. There were documents missing. Called dealership and it turns out that they sold me a used car without actually having the title. The previous owner still had the title. The dealership finally managed to get the title and continued the registration process. It took another 2 months to get the stickers, because they were processed by a vendor that the dealership is using. During the entire back and forth and follow up on title and stickers the dealership only called me back once to give me an update. I asked the person I spoke with if they can let me speak to someone to give feedback. I wasn't going to yell or point fingers at specific people. But I felt someone should know how bad this experience was and make sure people button up their process at the dealership. Nobody ever called me. I also asked via online chat to have someone call me. Update: 5 days after getting my car, the open/close button for the sunroof and sunshade stopped working. I came in for service and left with a working sunroof no more than 15 minutes later. Unfortunately, though, I can't find a way to give Maserati Van Nuys a 6th star. :( Brace yourself for a lengthy review, brevity's not my strong point. You'll get some useful information about car leasing if you read to the end, though. My experience at Van Nuys Maserati/Alfa Romeo/Fiat/every Italian car not named Ferrari was stellar. I'll split this into two sections: my experience with the staff, and how good of a deal they got me. Staff experience: the guy who sold me the car was Philip (highly encourage working with him if you go here.) Philip was unlike any other car salesman I've met. I asked him about the Alfa Romeo Giulia and he filled me in on all the trim packages, spending a good half-hour showing me different interiors and letting me test drive one. I explained to him upfront that I had to come back with my girlfriend and from that point he made no attempt to make me buy the car that day. After the test drive, though, he asked me some questions about my other car and we ended up chatting, literally just having a conversation about things not car-related, for the next hour. He was not the least bit salesman-y. In fact, the day we bought the car on my 2nd visit he invited my girlfriend and I to brunch with him the next day. That is uncommonly personable, to say the least. The finance guy (not Philip, to be clear) was very pushy in convincing me to run my credit and buy on my 2nd visit. I was hesitant because I wanted to take a bit of time to boost my credit and see if there were better deals out of state. Ultimately my worries melted away because... The deal they got me: we ran some preliminary numbers with a $2,000 down payment for a lease. It initially came in at $609.11/month payment for 12k miles a year on a 39 month lease, assuming tier 1 credit (my particular model was well-equipped and clocked in at 50k msrp, for reference). We ran some numbers again with 10k miles a year instead and this brought the price to $565.33/month for 39 months. They could see I still wasn't thrilled and I said I was going to check other options. The finance guy didn't want to let me leave, though, and said "Why don't you just tell me exactly what you want and I'll make it happen." Ok, that's fair. I said, "If I can get this price ($565.33/month) with 12k miles a year instead of 10k and a 24 month lease instead of 39, I'd be happy." Keep in mind those preliminary figures assume tier 1 credit. He came back quite a while later (it was Saturday when banks are slow) and had gotten me the deal I asked for, even though I ended up having tier 2 credit. I drove off the lot with an Alfa Romeo for nearly the same money down I paid for my Honda Clarity, and that Honda was being deeply, deeply discounted at the time. The down payment itself outside of taxes, fees and 1st month was under $1000. Wow! And here's another important note: money factor. Money factor is the name for your APR when talking about a lease instead of a loan. Don't ask me why, it just is. You can find out your effective APR by taking the money factor on your lease and multiplying it by 2,400. In my case, the money factor was 0.00071. I'll do the math for you: that translates to a 1.7% APR, on my tier 2 credit. Many dealers advertise 1.9% APR's on loans when they have special deals and the fine print assumes your credit is perfect. So to get an effective 1.7% rate on good, but not perfect, credit is a *great* deal. In my not-expert opinion, I'd say they got me close to the best price possible while still making any sort of money themselves. To summarize: they turned $609.11 a month for 39 months with tier 1 credit into $565 a month for 24 months with tier 2 credit, saving me over $1000 for the 24 month lease period. Bonus review: the car itself. The Alfa Romeo Giulia has a stunningly tight turning radius, peppy acceleration, 280 hp, best-in-class handling, a clean, elegant interior, loads of modern safety tech, and can be driven off the lot for less than a similarly equipped BMW 3 series or Mercedes C300. You can't drive this car without smiling. If you're in the market for a luxury sports sedan, you're doing yourself a disservice by not going over to Van Nuys Alfa Romeo and getting yourself a Giulia. No one cares about 3 series' or C300's, and even if you don't care about turning heads as you drive by you'd still be subjecting yourself to a less compelling, more expensive driving experience with those. Get yourself the car that topped Car and Driver's 10 Best list AND won Motor Trend's car of the year award AND will get the occasional "wow, what is that?!" from passersby: the Alfa Romeo Giulia. And when you do, get it from Philip in Van Nuys. :) read more

By far my best car buying experience and I have purchased approximately 12 cars over the past 30 years for myself and family, from various dealers. Mr. Luis Valdez, my sales associate, is a Rock Star!! I'm sure there are plenty of good sales folk at RW Maserati, but Luis is awesome and highly recommend calling upon him. On my initial call, Luis greeted me with the utmost professionalism and treated me as if I were a repeat. over the next two weeks, we traded a few emails negotiating price. Each communication was a conversation without the high pressure sales tactics that many customers have experienced. The dealership didn't accept my counter offer, but made made some concessions on other items that made final price palatable to me. Luis facilitated these concessions by informing his manager that I was serious about the car and was travelling in from out of town. Basically, he went to bat for me. Luis picked me up at the Burbank airport in new Maserati SUV and arranged and Uber to LAX for my departing flight. At dealership, Luis presented the vehicle as if he was born selling Maserati. Very impressed with knowledge of this finely crafted automobile. After inspecting and test driving, I was ready to consummate the deal. At this juncture, I was waiting to hear about some unexpected fees or additional charge to appear. I've been fastidious in my search for a Maserati GT Conv over the past year, so I was prepared to continue my search. I kept waiting and waiting and waiting...they never appeared. There were some add-ons that the dealership wrote into the contract that I didn't want and they immediately deleted. I did keep the tire/rim protection. The price of the Potholes in my city streets are legendary. After I returned home, I noticed the price on the contract was a few hundred dollars higher than our negotiated price, an error neither side caught --giving the dealership the benefit of the doubt. Luis offered to re-do the contract or provide accessories for the price difference. I opted for the latter and got a custom car cover. Luis made this transaction an enjoyable experience and I will be a repeat customer. From my experience here, RW Maserati has set the gold standard in selling automobiles. Everyone I encountered was polite and professional. The manager came by to say hello and ask if everything was ok. It would serve many dealerships well to follow the customer relationship practices of RW Maserati. Still looking for my signed RW Laker jersey. (lol) read more

Terrible experience with this dealership, purchased to high end cars on the same day, an Audi that brook down 2 weeks after purchasing and the dealership had no help to offer. And a Mercedes that we did not receive the registration for until 4 months later. The customer service was terrible employees were putting us on hold and sometimes not answering. I called them on Monday to return my lease and they said yeah come on in. I was then asked on Tuesday by a friend if I was sure they would take it because of the pandemic. I got worried and called again yesterday because I'd didn't want to drive out there for nothing. When I called they said "yeah bring it in! Make sure you don't forget to bring your registration and ID." I thought cool I'll take the day off work and go return it. I went on Wednesday and they refused to take the car back saying Chrysler capital is not taking any leases back anymore. I called Chrysler capital and asked them about this and they said they never told the dealership that. So I confronted the dealership about this and they changed their story and told me "oh no it's because we don't have a truck to take the cars back." Then they told me they didn't have my record to check who the extended warranty provider is for the car which I've been paying more on my lease, even though when I was there couple weeks ago to lease another car they were able to pull up my record no problem. Update: 9/28/2017 (From: Two Stars to Four) When we purchased the car a few weeks ago we were promised a new battery by our salesman but it ended up being an empty promise since the battery died. We got the car running and drove there to see what could be done. We told Francisco and Henry what had happened and they quickly and professionally took care of the problem! We were ecstatic since we didn't expect this level of customer service due to our previous experience. Thank you so much Henry and Francisco! Short Version: If you're expecting a professional staff and great experience leaving you with a feeling that you made a great purchase, think again. The staff at first seem friendly but after my experience I can't trust them. Do your research beforehand and be certain on the car you want to buy, they'll try to sell you on a more expensive one. If it's a used car ask for a pre-purchase inspection to check for any problems. If the car comes with no warranty ask for the 3rd party warranties they offer (they'll say it doesn't come with one but be firm and you'll be surprised what they say). Only reason to come here is their competitive offers (which is why they get two stars) that other Maserati dealerships won't offer but other than that, I wouldn't come back. Long Version: On September 4, 2017 (Labor Day), My family and I decided we finally wanted to go to a dealership and buy a Maserati. We first went to the dealership in Westlake but unfortunately they were closed. The one in Woodland Hills didn't have a great selection so we moved on. Finally, we ended up at AutoGallery Fiat, Alfa Romeo, and Maserati dealership of Van Nuys. Things looked promising as they had a variety of Maserati's there. We were there specifically for a GranTurismo and when we walked into the showroom we saw the car we wanted. A 2013 GT MC at about $70k. We were greeted by guy called Jorge who seemed pretty nice. When we asked him info on the car though, he didn't know much except the fact that the car "basically had a Ferrari engine". Ok cool, but we needed hard facts of the car like the history of the car, options and warranty. After a while he finally told us that the car had No Warranty and asked if we wanted to take it for a test drive. We said sure and then were asked to wait outside. Finally when he pulled up he brought us a 2017 GT. We were pretty confused but we thought, "Hey they might not be able to take the other car out of the showroom right now so this will have to do". We test drove it and we liked the car but we still wanted the 2013 GT MC. We came inside and he started selling us on the 2017 which was $142k. We kept telling him we wanted the 2013 but he still insisted saying that we'll have warranty on the 2017, no problems, and if we wanted to make the 2017 look like the 2013 with the MC package it'll be easy. It seemed appealing even though we knew making it look like the 2013 was a lie since the rear diffuser is completely different. We decided to hear the offer and it was very appealing. It was a lease offer but a very good one that re-valued the car at $100k. We decided to agree on a price and it being late, come back tomorrow to finalize the paperwork. So next day, (Sept 5) we came in and still had our eye on the 2013. Jorge then approached us and told us that they can no longer agree to the deal we made the night before. We told him to go back and see if he can bring it back. While he was away we decided to look more into the 2013 GT MC and see what other owners have done. Voilá! We found what we looking for. Turns they do offer a warranty they just told us they don't. We came up to the sales team and told them that we'll walk out if we cant get the 2013. Jason (the manager at the time) then tells us why we shouldn't get the 2013. Says it's unreliable and you can easily make the 2017 look the same. With both Jorge and Jason trying to sell us on the 2017, we just knew they were trying to trick us into buying the newer one. It didn't sit well with us at all since they were talking badly about the 2013. We've done our research and know how GTs are so their reasons weren't fazing us. Finally, they realize we weren't budging and you can tell they were upset. They then said "Good News! There actually is a warranty we can get for the car that's good for 5 years from today or when the car reaches 60,000 miles." Nice... Again it was late in the day so we came back the next day (3 days here) to FINALLY pick up the car and get out of there. After the paperwork we finally got the keys and thought they would guide us on how to use the infotainment system. Nope pretty much when we got the keys we got a "Thank you and Good-Bye". Terrible experience and wasted A LOT of our time but we absolutely love the car. We get it though, you guys make more money on a lease/higher prices cars. But if you guys try to trick people in buying cars they don't want where they can't trust you, it'll just end up biting you sooner or later. read more

So I will share my honest experience. I originally went to the masarati in Woodlandhills to take advantage of the end of the year incentives on the masarati. After finding the car and actually sealing the deal I sadly discovered the car was not working properly and they didn't even tell me when I purchased it. Instead they lied about having to wash the car as that's why they couldn't deliver in time. The next day we found out the truth that the car had to have faulty engine parts changed. This was a new car! Although woodland hills auto gallery was unwilling to help.... van Nuys auto gallery came through and we got the car I actually wanted instead of the of woodland hills tried to force me into.
