I had a early start on my wedding day and Van was there on time! I was very glad there was no delay. She used high quality primer and makeup products. My makeup lasted all day! However, my makeup was very heavy and cakey. I was a bit concerted about it. She told me I need heavier makeup for photograph. I trusted her advice. My hair style wasn't as the look I shared with her before. I knew she spent a lot of time doing my hair but the result was disappointing. I don't want to post or print my wedding photos. I appreciated her effort on my makeup and hair but I wished the result could be better :( read more

I found out about Vanity Pham a few weeks ago through mutual friends via face book. I used to go to another location to get my lashes done and the quality wasn't that great. They would fall off in a little over a week and it only took like 25-30 minutes to do  a full set. The price was cheap so I get what I paid for, right?!   I wanted to get my lashes done for my big trip to Hawaii for a wedding earlier this month. Her location was very easy to find and the garage parking was very convenient. When I got to her salon everything was already set up and ready for me. She was very nice and friendly when she greeted me, she then mentioned that the lashes will take up to an hour and asked if I needed anything to drink or a restroom break before we got started. A nice cozy blanket and pillow were on the bed in case I needed it. I thought that was a nice little touch! ;p   Before we got started she sanitized her work area and hands, then asked me if I had an occasion coming up. I mentioned my upcoming Hawaii trip and told her I was worried about the lashes if they would stay on even if I went snorkeling and with the humid weather down there. She said that it should be fine since she only uses the best products on clients, and said that the lashes should last about two weeks as long as I stayed away from oil based products that will loosen the glue. I don't wear eyeliner so it worked out perfectly for me. :)   Van was very attentive to detail and made sure she knew exactly how I wanted my lashes before she started. I told her that I really wanted fuller lashes and longer length so they will show better in pictures. She took the full hour to complete the set of new lashes on me and they turned out better than I expected! My lashes looked soo good! Each lash was perfectly aligned and I got the fullness I wanted. My lashes lasted my whole trip! Even after I went swimming, snorkeling, hiking, etc! I think I only had a total of maybe 8 lashes fall off. In the past I used to only use make up remover wipes to cleanse around my eyes and face, but in Hawaii after a full day of adventures I had to washed my face in the shower with face wash and the lashes still stayed on strong! I'm very happy with my lashes and how they turned out in my pictures! It's been a little over two weeks now, I'm back to work and my lashes are still looking good. I definitely plan on going back to Van to get my fills done from now on. :) read more

I went to Van's salon off of a referral from a close family friend. I'm very cautious when it comes to anyone touching my face or hair but after meeting Van the first time and seeing her talent I was confident in her work. I had my eyebrows microbladed by her and I couldn't be happier! They look amazing and she made the process simple and answered all of my questions. The process took about 1.5- 2 hours including the initial consultation on placement. Ill be following Van's aftercare instructions carefully and I can't wait to see the final result!! Van is absolutely awesome. She did my sister's wedding a couple of years ago and did an amazing job. My sister was definitely the center of attention that night. Anyway, I moved up here to Seattle and was happy to find out that she was also moving here. Now I have been to her salon twice for eyelash extensions and each time, I have been thoroughly impressed, not just with my eyelashes, but the overall experience. She was so professional, yet personable and friendly. She has a wealth of knowledge in regards to makeup, hair, and lash artistry. Van did an amazing job with my eyebrows! I was tired of spending so much time filling in my sparse eyebrows every morning and finally decided to get semi-permanent brows. I wanted the ombré powder brow look, and they look soooo good! I absolutely love the shape of my brows and the natural but defined look. Van is super professional but also extremely nice and easy to talk to. She is very careful, clean, detailed and a perfectionist. Van did my makeup for my engagement pictures and wedding. I didn't have to do a long trial b/c she got the look I was going for on the first try! Yay! Van was the make-up artist and hairstylist for my wedding. Since I'm not used to wearing makeup, it was a bit difficult for me to tell her what I wanted in "make-up terms". All I know was "natural looking" lol. Van was very patient with me. She tried different things to see which one I like most. I love Van and would highly recommend her to anyone searching to look their best for a special occasion! For my two day wedding she did my hair and make up both days in a row- each day with a different style (up do and down- each with hair extensions) and air brush make up. She took into account the lighting (indoor or outdoor), my outfit (wedding dress or red Ao Dai), and my vision and example photos each time. AND she traveled to my wedding sites on time, ready to go, totally organized. In addition she has done my hair and make up for my engagement photos and hair and make up for my two sisters, my sister in-law and my mother in law on my wedding day. Everyone's hair and make up lasted all day- my sister and mother in-law even slept on their up-dos and wore it the next day! Everybody absolutely agreed that working with her has always been wonderful and the results were freaking amazing. She makes everyone look their best and truly has a passion and understanding for make up application and products. Van did my hair & make-up for my boudoir shoot and can I just say, she was amazing! I'm a wedding coordinator who has worked with many make-up artists and Van was one of the best. She's a joy to be around (even at 6am!) and she has a great understanding of face shapes, eye shapes, colors and client wants/needs. I've never had my eyes done in a smokey way that I've liked. I have dark circles and dark eyes and smokey eyes have always made me look sleepy. Not when Van did them! I was getting compliments all day! My make-up stayed on all day but it didn't look like it was plastered on. Very natural and very pretty. I initially got lash extensions for my wedding last August, but loved them so much that I have been going back to have them touched-up every 3 weeks or so. Van does a fantastic job! I went to a different place one time because I couldn't get an appointment with Van and had a wedding coming up. My lashes weren't nearly as full as when Van does them and many of the extensions became unglued and just fell off after a week or so. I visited the salon today for a gel manicure. It is perfect! My polish looks amazing! She was so careful and detailed when applying the gel polish. I was unable to get into my normal lash person for my fill due to my schedule being so crazy, so I went to another place in Bellevue (Wink) that I've gone to a few times. Ummmm....they did a fill on me in 30 minutes?! I was pretty annoyed as I felt like the girl did a rush job and she definitely didn't do a complete fill. I could tell there were some bare areas. Anyways....long story short - 5 days later, I made an appointment with Julie at Vanity Pham to help me fix/finish my fill. She was so great! She mixed in some volume fans in there as well....my lashes look AMAZING! Vanity Pham is a 10-star make-up artist! I used her as my make-up artist and hairstylist for my big day. I was looking for someone who uses quality make-up and still make me feel natural with make-up on. I did pay an arm and leg for my wedding photos...so I better look darn good. I did a trial and thought her work was great. Plus, she can work with anything. 3 days before the big day, I had second thoughts on how I wanted to do my hair and sent her another style on how I wanted it done. She said, no problem, it'll look great. On the day of the wedding, she showed up with her team and they worked hard on all 5 of us. My bridesmaids and I loved our make-up and hair. I received so many compliments! I barely needed a touch-up on my makeup...if any at all. She'll provide you with a touch-up kit for the day of the wedding.
