I had a really hard time finding a good aesthetician in L.A. Hard to believe, I know. A lot of it is energy-based for me. The last thing I want is to be around completely shallow judgy, image-obsessed a-holes. Liz is like the coolest. She's my spirit animal. She once gave me an extra vegan brownie that she had in the office. Another day eggs from her chickens on her ranch. Yes, she has a ranch where she rescues animals on the regular from the slaughterhouse. She not only does a perfect wax with the least amount of pain I've ever had with waxing, but it also is kind of fun to go and chat with her. She uses fancy wax from Italy, and the best natural cooling gels and powders etc, to immediately calm down delicate skin that says 'What the hell!?' When you wax. We talk about men, and animal rescues, and psychic ability, and pretty much anything and everything. It's pretty great. It's no wonder she has a cult-like following. She makes you feel very comfortable and it feels like I've known her for years already. I have acne prone skin so I tried her complexion control facial. Those 90 minutes passed by like 20. So easy, effortless and relaxing. The masks she makes are simply amazing, you can smell all the organic ingredients she uses. Very cool. She is also very resourceful and takes time to explain how to take care of the skin, tells about all the processes happening in the body that are responsible for skin condition and just answers any possible question you may have. How could you not love Liz? She's a total sweetheart and she (almost!) makes a normally painful Brazilian into a fun experience with her charming personality. I found Liz using a yelp deal.. and i was so happy to find another place that uses the hard wax for bikini! it's the only way i like to wax anymore and it doesn't cause me to have any in growns.. she's has been waxing for awhile so she's quick and knows what she is doing. she even took the time to get the few in growns that i had.. i really appreciate that besides the wax i got a brow tint and wax.. she did exactly what i asked unlike most other places that want to give you pencil thin eyebrows.. she also showed me where my hair can grow in thicker and give me a better looking brow.. i will definitely be going back to Liz read more

I was looking for something to remove congestion with out the pain of extractions. Liz has a great touch, but my super sensitive skin just can't hang. Liz suggested I try a hydra facial. Its not enough I'm feeling really wierd that I've got my business splayed across a massage table for a total stranger to...maneuver...I dont want to deal with attitude and the awkward silence. Its a pretty vulnerable experience, getting waxed...iz makes it painless and...well, not enjoyable, but the conversation and the friendliness are enjoyable. Liz is definitely THE woman to go to in the area for a Brazilian. She's thorough, clean, and a fun person to chat with, plus her prices are super reasonable. The only thing is that if you're expecting a pampered, spa-like experience you won't really get it. This lady is a one-woman show who is mainly like a good buddy who is a great waxer, so if she's running late she'll be the one personally texting you, and if her computer isn't working she won't be able to take your card right then. It hasn't really been a big deal as we've always worked out payment, and I understand if I'm the first appointment of the day she's coming from tending to her animals and might be off by ten min (she also runs an animal rescue, how amazing is that?). It isn't a huge deal for me as my schedule is flexible, but I can understand how others might want to be aware that there isn't some receptionist buffer between you and your service provider and there isn't anyone to cover for her. On the other hand if you're late or have to reschedule you only deal with her personally and she's very accommodating. Also FYI if you want to tip, bring cash as she doesn't ask if you want to add gratuity. The only other little, little thing--she had this wax for a bit that I LOVED and worked really well for my skin but she doesn't always have it. I think it was European and she can't always get it. I have super sensitive skin though, so I do notice the variation in waxes while it might not matter to others. I'm no longer going to Liz only because I made the investment in laser removal, otherwise she'd totally still be my go-to waxer. I had moved from east coast in may and was on the hunt for a good bikini wax. I mean, spending that much time down there, you need to be good. I scheduled an appointment right before the fourth of July weekend on-line. And the yelpers did not leave me astray. Liz was very nice and welcoming, even though she was slightly injured and bandaged from a fall the day before. She worked very quickly but efficiently (yeah I can have a 7 minute wax but is it going to look good and remove everything???). I had minimal irritation. No stray hairs. And she made me feel at ease.
