I highly recommend Marlene for a massage esp. if you suffer from neck and shoulder pain. My job has me sitting at a desk in front of a computer for 8+ hours a day resulting in horrible neck and shoulder aches. I've gone to Marlene several times now and she delivers an amazing and soothing massage that will leave you so calm and relaxed. Her hands seem to generate a natural warm heat - sounds weird but it makes her massages even more relaxing. She is good about taking her time and really takes an interest in my well-being by offering tips on stretches I can do at work to help with my tightened neck and shoulder muscles. Best facial I've ever had! I'm a bit older now, and am trying to do what I can to "improve" my god given gifts. I also am a vegan, so I don't want to use animal products or artificial junk on my skin. I also run a restaurant, so I can't afford to look red and splotchy for days. Liz took all of this into account before she did my facial. All of her products are natural, organic and vegan. She also knows about nutrition and how to deal with problem skin. I go away looking "refreshed" without severe redness and blotchiness. My face also doesn't break out, which is AWESOME! 45 with pimples? Not so much! Liz is wonderful, she has been doing my eyebrows - they were a mess, super difficult to shape well..! - she really knows what she is doing. I was visiting California from Georgia and decided to get my very first Brazilian while I was there. While at home, I had previously made two appointments, but chickened out both times. Finally, I actually made it inside the salon, so I decided to go through with it this time! I immediately felt at ease with Liz. I explained my previous (failed) attempts and concerns, and she explained the process to me step by step. I am VERY modest, but felt surprising comfortable (as comfortable as one can be in such a compromising position!) throughout the process. Liz was very easy to talk to. We chatted about various things, and it that totally took my mind off of what was going on. Oddly, I wasn't embarrassed at all, which was the reason I've avoided doing this previously. I expected the pain to be horrible! I've heard/read that the first time is AWFUL, but that wasn't the case at all! Liz is really awesome (not that I have anyone else to compare her to yet) as the pain I anticipated wasn't that bad! Don't get me wrong, it was "uncomfortable", but on a scale of 1-10? I would say maybe 3? The results were AMAZING, and surprisingly I had no discomfort afterwards. At. All. No redness. No bumps. Nothing. I LOVE being hair free, and I will NEVER go back to shaving! Ever. Coming from out of state, I decided on this salon based on Yelp reviews, and I wanted to come add my experience here for others who are "shopping" for a salon. If I could afford to commute from Atlanta to Liz, I would! I am currently at home and heading for my second waxing session. BEST FACIAL! I love going to the spa to relax. I have to say, I've had facials all over the world and by far, Liz is the most talented. She does the BEST facial/shoulder/arm & hand massage as part of the facial. I have been going to Liz for 5 or 6 years now. She got me through my 30's skin and now we're working on the 40's skin.
