As women, it can be difficult to get quality help but these guys always take the time to offer advice. I want to compliment Bryan for his service today. With his help I purchased a travel bag. He helped me find a 5 wood off the rack that fits my need for a 200 yard club. He regripped the club to be what I like and finally worked with me on the monitor to find my swing characteristics. All in all a great visit to kick off a new golf season. I was very disappointed in the service today at Vans. Will not be back. Walked in and was not even going be said hello to by the two salespeople sitting on the counter. Was going to buy a set of clubs. After looking around the store for some assistance no one came to help me. Went and looked at golf gloves and young man in the office was watching his computer, Torry Pines Open. Not so much as a hello. After looking at golf gloves for awhile went and asked for help at the counter. One kid came over and pointed to the right hand gloves and said this is all we have. He went back immediately sitting on the counter with his buddy. Figured it out by myself and bought two gloves . Will buy my new set of clubs elsewhere. Don't judge a book by its cover. read more

Very nice golf attire and clubs - slightly expensive but quality. I bought a gift card and deleted the email on accident. The young golf kid was rude and dismissive when I asked for help. An older gentleman came out and gave me an IT number to call (IT was very good) but we needed stuff that day for a golf outing the following day- I purchased without gift card regardless. Gift card was sent via email again when IT opened and took my call. The young man working there with his attitude, lack of concern/help and silver spoon in the Mouth demeanor made me not want to return. Sorry - but service does mean a lot!!!! read more

This is the most discriminatory golf store I've seen for left handers. I know I'm the minority and have lowered expectations, but they didn't have a single left handed Scotty Cameron putter. Not one!!! Want a left handed iron set? You'll have about 3 choices. As far as 2nd hand clubs I had the choice of a whopping 5 clubs total. And, good luck finding a glove that goes on the right hand. I've mentioned this lefty discrimination several times over the years, but nothing has been done. It's clear they couldn't care less about us lefties. After being so disappointed with Vans in Mesa on Power rd I found myself in need of a new golf bag and a grip on a recently acquired club. I was greeted at the door by Marty who politely asked what we needed took my club and immediately started having the grip replaced without asking me to wait or come back, and stayed with us assisting me to find a good bag for less than I planned on spending, then I mentioned I was looking for a specific hat , Marty immediately jumped on looking for that item as well , experience was outstanding and a new hat a new bag were also purchased this visit. This is a top notch establishment. It is in an excellent location and staffed with wonderful employees. The selection of equipment is always on point and the prices are competitive. I went to the store looking for a very specific club. One of which was sold out in most stores in the area. They had plenty of options to choose from and Michael was extremely friendly and helpful in guiding me to a choice. I didn't feel sold or pressured at all. I would recommend this place to any golfer. Even after I bought my club, Michael helped me and taught me more about drivers and the many different options that come with it. Even though he knew I wouldn't buy one. Awesome staff! read more

Had a great fitting today at Van golf shop in Gilbert . Bought the new Sim driver . My old taylor made driver was a 10.5 degree with a reg flex shaft . I told Arturo I would like more distance . I hit my club and averaged 240 ish with a lot of spin . I was swinging about 94 mph and he put me in a stiff shaft , mid kick with the Sim driver. I was swinging over 100mph with an average of 270ish . Felt great . Thank you Arturo . He listened and made adjustments . read more

I prefer the Mesa location better. Had a wonderful experience with my Pro (44024 I forget his name I apologize) purchasing my new set of Rouges. He was very knowledgeable but not overbearing. He steered me to a four wood instead of my usual go to five. Great suggestion !! The only thing he failed to tell me was that I would be dropping down almost 2 clubs for distance every shot. These things play beautifully and definitely worth the price. I came back to purchase a set of clubs for my wife and instead of pushing me to a upper priced set. We both agreed that a box set would workout fine. All her clothes, shoes and accessories came from Vans. It never occurred to me if this pro works on commission it never showed to be honest with you. I will never be using this place again. I just had one of the worst experience ever at the San Tan location. Customer Service is completely poor. Good news is I was able to go to PGA Tour Super Store, had a great experience, amazing customer service, and my 3 wood has been reshafted by professionals. Plus I bought a new driver. Vans lost out on a $750 transaction today. Recommendation is to stay away from here. read more

Van's has excellent customer service, all the name brands, great selection of both men's AND women's apparel... what more can a golfer want?! Whether I'm just browsing or trying out various brands of clubs, the staff seem to sense when I need help and when I prefer to be left alone to shop. I was looking for a quality golf store near my home and came upon Van's Golf. I have had nothing but great experience at this gilbert, AZ location. All staff memebers and manager a very knowledgeable and courteous. Had a problem with a driver head cracking and upon calling the manufacturer and still under warranty, Van's helping in replacing the driver head. I have shopped here probably half a dozen times since this store opened last fall. I was there on opening weekend and continue to make this my go-to golf store. I have purchased new irons, shoes, balls, a hat, and a wedge from here. Each time the customer service has been outstanding. I have worked with different people there and each one has been excellent. I feel like they truly value my business. They are patient and knowledgeable and professional. They are not pushy or rude or in a hurry. I am so disappointed with Van's. We have been doing business with this location for at least 4-5 years. Yesterday, my son went into the store by himself to trade in 2 clubs and purchase a more expensive club. He asked what the trade-in value would be on these clubs a few weeks ago with my husband present and was told $70/club but he needed to wait a bit to earn some more cash for the newer club he wanted to purchase. Yesterday, he finally had the cash but was told $19/club. This was a total insult. We only buy brand new clubs and my son has very expensive taste. His irons were purchased at $1200, his driver $400 not to mention he has several Scotty Cameron's in his collection. He shoots in the 70's and plays on an Elite golf team. Golf is pretty much his life and is pretty much what all of his and our extra money goes towards. Now, we will be forced to drive to Golf Galaxy or Second Swing to build a new relationship with them. We miss all the previous employees at Vans as with them not being there this place is going down. I also wonder if the guy who attempted to help my son out even took him seriously as he went into the store on his own but then again when we left the store together the guy looked right at us and let us leave the store without saying a word. #Shameonvansgolf read more
