Definitely not a touristy spot, this little cafe has charm and character along with slammin' breakfast. I had the spam eggs Benedict - while I wouldn't normally get spam I had to in Hawaii and it was pretty good. Three eggs were poached to perfection and the whole thing was covered in the most delicious hollandaise sauce. This will be one of my little Maui go-tos any time I come back to the island! read more

Excellent food and service! I'm very picky about my Eggs Benedict and this didn't disappoint. My better half scarfed his down his Denver omelette before I could snap a picture. It's a smaller space but the servings are large so make sure you go hungry. Prices are very reasonable. Wouldn't change a thing! One of the best breakfasts we had on island. Lots of specials so look around the walls and ask your server. There are lots of options so there should be something for everyone including those with allergies. This place is very small maybe about 20 people can fit however there is great pictures and maps on the wall you can even pin your city on the map. Our breakfast was great, you can tell they take their time for your individual order so it may take some time but you are in turn receiving a hot cooked delicious meal. I heard about this hidden gem and have been wanting to try it. It's located in the Wailuku Industrial area across from Maui Office Machines. There is plenty of parking. This place is tiny! There is one 4-seat table, three 2-seat tables, four seats at the window counter, and a 2-seat table outside. The 4-seat table can be reserved in advance. The decor is quaint and includes maps that you can add a pin on the location you're from. So cute! They serve American-style breakfasts, Korean soup, smoothies and coffees. We ordered the ramen noodle soup and Korean fried rice omelette with hash browns. You can order the soup mild or spicy. The spicy was almost too spicy so next time we would order medium spicy. But it was good and included mushrooms and round onions. The kimchi fried rice omelette and hashbowns potions were big and could easily be shared. It came with a package of Korean nori which was a nice surprise. The fried rice was perfectly fluffy and not too spicy. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They don't add seasoning so you can add your own at the table. The soft drinks are served in cans with a cup of ice. We've found our new favorite brunch spot! read more

I come here specifically the Korean / American breakfast mix, which is there speciality. So, remember keep in mind it is a mom and pop operation here. The matriarch works front of the house and the patriarch works back of the house. Orders made fresh to order. My wife had their pancakes. I had their Omelette Over their Kimchi Fried rice, with toasted hash browns. Which very good on this day. Just make sure when go eat and if it not crowded ask to eat where the A/C blows cool. Really small indoor seating, maybe for 15 people total. The service was also pretty slow as there was only one woman taking orders and serving. There's a menu, but there's so many more items on the wall. Serving sizes are huge and the food is good. The kim chi fried rice is great. Get it with the omelet and hashbrowns. Cute, cozy place, with just a few tables and a counter facing the window with some stools. There is one table outside but it was too hot to sit there. The tchotkes covering the shelves and walls give it a homey feel. The owner runs the place and engages with all customers, known and unknown. I think mostly regulars come to this spot off the beaten path in an old section of Wailuku, and it's kind of like Cheers: The owner knows everybody's name. (If you want to hide in a corner in obscurity, this is not the place.) Uncle staffs the small kitchen in the back. The food menu is small and consists mostly of breakfast and Korean specialties. Portions are dauntingly large, daring you to finish all the food. I had pancakes, a sausage patty, two strips of bacon, and scrambled eggs. The pancakes were light and fluffy. It was all good. I wasn't hungry again for hours. The husband in the family next to us had the mandoo soup and the bowl was huge. There are also smoothies and coffee drinks, which is to be expected given it's name of "coffee hub." However, the espresso machine was broken. This appears to be common, based on what is written in other reviews. The parking lot can get clogged, since the restaurant is in a two-story strip mall. There's also street parking. Never judge a book by its cover. Venta Coffee Hub is a tiny café in a small strip mall. While the outside may put you off, you'll be glad you got a table. It's not very big and was packed when we arrived. Several groups had to be turned away. The menu features unique pancakes, smoothies and espresso coffees. This hole in the wall that is not too far from the Maui swap meet was absolutely amazing. The food was fantastic all around. Our family of four ordered the traditional eggs Benedict, the eggs Benedict with spam, the breakfast sandwich with bacon and sausage, and the banana pancakes. Everything, and I do mean everything was super tasty. The eggs Benedict was bomb! Lovely Hollandaise, mine with the spam was extra tasty. And the banana pancakes were a revelation with full slices of banana cooked in. On top of that the service was on point. They provided me a little hair clip to wear and denote I'm taken. I stopped by here this past Saturday with my wife for our morning coffee. We were in Wailuku whenever we decided to look at Yelp and Vanta Cafe came up and so we headed over. Vanta Cafe is located inside of a strip mall and the place itself is quite tiny. They did have fun pictures on the walls about Hawaiian things, but other than that it just felt a bit cluttered. For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with a large latte while my wife went with a small coffee. It took about 10 minutes before our coffees were ready. My latte ended up just ok. The milk part of it was decent enough but the espresso was somewhat weak. Oddly enough my wife's coffee was quite strong and I only wish that I would have had something that bold for my coffee as well. The bottom line for me is that I might stop by here again in the future. While my coffee was just ok, they did have a couple of people coming in for to go orders while we were their and so I would be interested in trying their food. read more

This is like a hole in the wall kind of place. If you blink your eye you will surely miss it. It's located in the Hookahi Business Center which is a L shaped two story building. Free parking in their lot (Nadine approved... Inside joke) I tend to be a creature of habit. When I find a place that I like to eat at, I tend to keep going to the same place which is good and bad. Well I memorized the menu at the other place so I decided to change it up and turn to none other than Yelp to help me find another place. And once again the Yelpers didn't let me down. Once I got my rental car, I locked in the navigation and headed directly down here. Like I wrote in the beginning, this place is a hole in the wall place. But like many of you know, these kinds of places have some big flavors being served. I was drooling over the pictures of the kim chee fried rice. It is number 23 ($11.95) on the menu and comes with two eggs and some nori (seaweed) to make some wraps which is totally Korean and I love it. You could smell the Kim Chee in the fried rice and I couldn't stop eating it even though I knew I had more food coming. I was also craving some french toast so I also ordered number 15 ($10.95) which came with three slices (6 cut in half slices) of French toast, two pieces of bacon, sausage and a orange slice. It's no frills here meaning they only have one type of syrup. The French toast had lots of egg batter on the side (which I don't mind but I know some may not). I like when restaurants use Hawaiian Sweet Bread especially since we are in Hawaii but unfortunately it looks like it is white bread being used here. Nonetheless, it was nice, fluffy but I'm thinking it might of been missing vanilla or maybe not enough in the batter. The sausage and bacon was done just right so I was happy with that. The waitress named Hee is awesome. She has a friendly smile that never seemed to go away. Very attentive and very accommodating. One of the owners saw a little baby girl and came out from the back and gave her a flower. I think I found my new spot to eat breakfast when I come back to Maui. read more
