Been coming to Sri Siam for a few years since I live in the neighborhood, and it's always been a solid Thai spot. Nothing fancy or high-end, just consistently good food in a clean, casual setting. The star for me is easily the crispy rice salad. It comes with fresh lettuce and cilantro, and you wrap the crispy rice in the lettuce as you eat it. So good and still my favorite thing on the menu. I also regularly get their soups, which are warm, filling, and comforting, and the combination chow mein is another solid option. Service has always been nice and the restaurant is kept clean. Great neighborhood spot, especially for a casual lunch. I keep coming back mainly for that crispy rice salad. read more

My wife liked the food here much more than me. Her dish, laab, was a huge hit with her. I thought it was reasonably good. My dish was Fresh Water Prawn with Glass Noodle - I was not a fan, it was rather a chore to eat with shrimp that had shells which were a huge hassle to take off. Flavors were ok but no better (my wife loved the included sauce), but I didn't feel amazing later. I would not order this again. I really can't go higher than 3 stars for this mixed experience. That said, I would be alright with trying this place again and ordering something without shrimp. read more

Yesterady June 8th, we ordered food from this cafe for delivery. The food was just horrible with no flavor or taste even dishes looked very different. We had ordered mild spiciness but it did not have any spices at all. Texture, taste and the appearance were very bad. It used to be one of our favoriteThai restaurant for almost 30 yrs. We would drive out far to have thier food. When we had the food delivered it was the worst Thai food we have ever had. Tasteless chicken pad prik, it had skin on chicken wings for chicken. who so ever had ever heard of having chicken wings in any a la cart food dishes? Tom yum soup was almost colorless and with almost no taste. We are bummed out that our favorite Thai retraunt has turned into one of the worst Thai restaurant. I won't say that we ordered the best food for our palates, but we definitely ended up with a lot of fried-esque food, whether that be pan-fried or deep fried. The papaya salad and seafood soup were some of my favorites among what we ordered, and the service was really fast and great! I love Sri Siam cafe! Such great food and friendly service. The crispy rice salad is delicious! I recently tried the spicy ribs and they were a flavor explosion! They weren't actually spicy on their own (maybe they call them spicy because they are served with jalapeño?), but they were tangy and amazing! Fantastic Thai food in a strip mall. I ordered the tom yum with chicken and the pad see ew. Both portions were rather large for myself. I had leftovers for the next day. The pad see ew had a good amount of broccoli and egg ratio to the noodles. I'll order without the egg next time, to cut back on cholesterol. Tom yum, was YUM-MY! We had stopped here on our way home from camping in the sierras and jeez we are glad we did. This spot is small with a couple tables in a random shop mall. However do not be discouraged as the food is out of this world. The flavors have a strong wok taste and every single dish we had was amazing. I really enjoyed the trout as it was something different. This is what we ordered ($80 w/tax): Khao Soi chicken - We had been craving Khao Soi all week and this definitely hit the spot. The chicken was a bit sweet and the curry paste was strong. This dish was comforting and well-balanced. Crispy soft shell crab with green curry - We love soft shell crab and this dish did not disappoint. It was well fried and the curry was very flavorful. Crispy rice salad - This dish definitely creates a mess but it's worth it. You create a lettuce wrap with the rice salad, cilantro, and mint. I would recommend putting a little bit of fish sauce on here if you want a little extra kick. Yum! Crispy catfish flake salad - This was the most surprising dish for us. We didn't know what to expect and it was so good. The acid of the sauce/apple with the catfish flake created a nice balance of flavor and texture. When I arrived at the restaurant employees quickly acknowledged me and let me know that my order should be ready in a few minutes. Over the next few minutes, there were probably 7 or so other parties who also came in looking for their take out order. The team double checked that every item was packed nicely into my bag. I have tried almost every Thai restaurant in the area in an attempt to find the best curry. Today I chose takeout for my first visit to Sri Siam Cafe. You'll be glad to know the place is tidy which is a plus (I usually order takeout to avoid unsightly decor so it doesn't cloud my judgement.) Upon entering, I was greeted by a server and cashier but I already know what I wanted after seeing review photos on yelp. I ordered the Green Curry/Soft Shell Crab dish and a side of rice. My jaw dropped at the $30 price point but I had already made up my mind. I could have easily switched it to the curry w/crispy pork for far less. My initial reaction opening my bag was that the curry serving was not big enough and I had my fingers crossed that there were at LEAST 2 crabs in the lunch size box so I wouldn't have to throw a food fit! To my surprise the box was PACKED with crispy crab pieces! I already had about 5 pieces before i took the picture and the curry tub was full. Super tasty seasoning on the meat too! Just wish I had some vinegar dipping sauce. 5/5 would come back! read more

We ordered: Crispy Rice Salad with tofu Fried Calamari Radish Cake Khao Soy with pork Drunken Noodles with beef Vegetable fried rice Everything was delicious! The flavors were rich and layered. The heat of the spice was perfect. My favorites were the calamari (I'm still dreaming about it), the crispy rice salad (wow! The textures and flavors) and the Khao Soy (the two types of noodles with the yellow curry was fantastic.) our server, Joshua was amazing! He was so welcoming, took the time to answer all of our questions and happily accommodated our friend who is vegan. I forgot to take photos because I was so excited to eat. I came here for the first time today and was so impressed by this restaurant -- we had fish cakes, duck laab, and the soft shell crab with a green curry sauce, as well as a Thai tea and Thai coffee. Everything was amazing, with the soft shell crab in particular being so flavorful, tender, and delicious. Presentation was great and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Although the location is unassuming from the outside, it's pleasant and light inside and very comfortable to sit. The guy who took the order sounded very Americanized, so I initially questioned its authenticity - used to the Thai ladies who call me Lashell, but it wasn't an issue. I have to say my favorite was the crispy rice - it was different, delicious and tasted really good. Came with lettuce wraps and was tasty. The chicken larb was good as well - had a nice kick.
