My first experience was getting take out at their Berwyn location because I work across the street. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they serve delicious sushi. I live closer to Royersford and the sushi there was equally as good if not a little better. They never get my order wrong even though I always add or swap things out. The sushi always looks skillfully made and visually beautiful. The service is great and the restaurant always looks clean and well kept. The staff at both locations are very friendly as well. Hands down the best sushi!! The Ocean roll and the Phoenix rolls are my favorites! I've moved out of the area and every time I make the flight back we always make several trips just for the sushi!!! They also have awesome lunch specials for sushi too!!! Definitely make a reservation on the weekends, they are always super busy! The wait staff is always awesome and they remember me and my family whenever we come in! The house wonton soup is always great and can feed two or three! General tso's chicken is another favorite! I just can't say enough great things about the sushi! I've eaten sushi all across the country and I still haven't found another place that quite compares! read more

Five stars all the way! My mom always tells me how great this place is and she's picky as anything. I decided to try it out last night with my boyfriend and his daughter. When we got there there was a ten minute wait which for me is a good sign that a restaurant can be full around 8 on a Wednesday. The host was very friendly and sat us as soon as a table became available. The lighting and atmosphere are very relaxing. So for food: We split the sesame chicken and each ordered our own sushi. The chicken was perfect, very tender and didn't have that weird Chinese food taste to it. It definitely tasted fresh. My sushi was a volcano roll, I get this everywhere I go and I thought it was above average compared to everywhere else I've gone. My boyfriend got a spicy salmon roll and couldn't stop talking about it. I tried his and don't blame him, it was delicious. Even his daughter seemed satisfied with her rice and won ton soup, she's not an easy one to please either. The bill wasn't as high as I was expecting so that's a plus. Veekoo is simply one of the best Asian restaurants I've ever been to. The great food, the excellent service and atmosphere are always consistent. I prefer the Japanese menu and the sushi is always superb. My kids usually go for the Chinese menu and they always love their meals. It had been a while since I'd been to Veekoo, so I went for lunch last Tues, with a friend. Walking into the cool, beautiful, calming room from an outdoor temperature of over 90, was a delight. We were seated in a booth, table covered in pristine white cloth. Looked around and was surprised how many folks were there having lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. After being served a pot of green tea, we ordered the teriyaki bento boxes, one chicken and one beef. It came with miso soup, entree, 4 pieces of sushi, salad and rice- much more than I could eat. The soup was a revelation, I didn't remember that miso soup could be so delicious and the little pieces of tofu in it were as soft as clouds. The entree was fantastic; crisp salad with very good dressing, perfect sushi, steamed rice and wonderful teriyaki entrees with tender proteins and tender crisp veges. Perfect service and good prices made this an outstanding visit. read more

Real food with real ingredients, no MSG ever. This is the best Asian restaurant by far in our area, the service is excellent and fast, too. The prices are fair and I always get 2 meals out of whatever I order. I love the Thai menu but the sushi is also great. Ordered the "Love Boat" one time for 3 of us and we couldn't eat it all. This is my all time favorite Sushi restaurant and I've been to my share of places all over the country of all renown. Great variety of rolls and sushi is as fresh as they come. Service is prompt and friendly. They also have surprisingly great Chinese food as well. I try to go to Veekoo as often as I can if when I am in the area. Unfortunately it gets really busy during peak hours so you should make a reservation if you want to go during busy times. read more

New Year's Eve Fail! Waited over an hour past the Pick-Up time told on the phone for our Take out order. The same problem happened another N.E.'s eve. when we had reservations. We tried, again, since we really enjoyed the food previously. But this N.Y.E. the food was AWFUL! No pineapple at all in the Pineapple Fried Rice. Chicken Satay may have been good at noon but served at 6 PM. it was old, dry, greasy and not edible + no peanut sauce??? Our sushi was OK but downsized to 4 small rolls instead of the usual 6 pieces normally served. The other dishes were downers as well, dumplings, etc. Sorry we didn't make the drive to Kumo in Collegeville, a consistently great experience with better everything, prices, atmosphere, service and most importantly food. read more

I just had the worst experience. This concerns food safety. I had ordered takeout, the spicy crab roll, tiger roll, flying fish roe. When paying they read my order back, saying 4 orders crab sashimi, I said "no, I ordered the spicy crab roll". Without saying sorry they asked me to wait a few minutes while they corrected the order, I obliged. Heres where it gets great: the hostess removed the item I didn't order from the bag and sat it on the sushi bar, then took the entire bag with the correct items I had ordered to the back out of sight. The spicy crab roll they made sat on the counter for about 10 minutes while I waited for the bag of food that was already done when I originally arrived to come out from the back. When it finally came out the sushi that looked great originally was smushed up. I asked why the finished order was brought into the back and there was no explanation. Without explanation they offered to make another right in front of me, I waited patiently and again when it was finished they brought it in the back for about 5 minutes before giving it to me. I was astonished and should have received a refund. Before this I had ordered from here once or twice a week spending about $80 each time. It's painfully obvious something was done to the food that was given to me and the best part is, if we got severely sick from this, the restaurant would claim that eating sushi increases your risk of foodbourne illness, as per their menu disclaimer, even though none of what I ordered is raw. I opened up the uneaten sushi and found 1 wormy looking string in each piece, meaning it was evenly distributed & placed there on purpose. I guess this place is willing to poison someone with a parasitic infection because they messed the order up and I had the audacity to ask for the correct item. There was no other reason to bring the sushi in the back away from the sushi bar after promising to make it right in front of me. This is not the first time I have heard of regular customers getting screwed after a complaint. I should have just accepted the wrong food for $80, silly me. read more

Sushi (eel & shrimp tempura) was very good. Entrees not so much. Filet mignon was so overly marinated it was slimy and the soft shell crab was watery and totally tasteless. Stick to the cooked sushi and you'll be okay and you're wallet will appreciate it too...dinner entrees overly expensive. read more
