Now we have to pay $20 for my toddler (3yo and a little tall for his age) to eat 2 slices of watermelon and half of a plate of fruit. We used to frequent this place often but now, at $90 for the 2 of us and toddler, this may have to be relinquished to a special date night. It I recall my favorite was the shashimi and the beef dishes. Aside from that a lot of the food just sat under the heat lamp. The service was good. Very attentive and took care of us! It was a bonus because the place was relatively slow. The ambiance was very lack luster. I think the place needs an entire facelift. New carpets, tables, etc. everything is very dated and felt like things were being held together by duct tape and the Holy Spirit! Overall it's a decent place to go. Unimpressed. With mixed Filipino and American family we had been coming here for years since it's in the heart of Glendales Filipino community. Unclear what happened to this restaurant but it used to be hopping all the time but now it's just another restaurant I wouldn't give a second thought about. The food used to be great but it's subpar now. Won't be coming back. Better buffets elsewhere in nearby Alhambra and surrounding communities that are more worthy of the drive. OK food. I was really crazy about the service but considering it's Mall location, it was OK.

We went here yesterday for the first in a while and I have to say for the price they're asking; food and service was absolutely mediocre. To start of it was already an absolute turn off to be charged an extra 10% because of "contamination" fee. Now, I'd be completely fine with that if the food was excellent. To start of, my son ended up picking some of the raw sushi and it's disappointing to say that it sat so long that it spoiled. Thankfully he caught it before eating the rest on his plate. The same thing on the clam dish; it sat on the warmer for so long that it was overcooked and nearly spoiled. I mentioned those specifically because they're seafood items. There were others that had been sitting on the burner for long that it either was overcooked or darn near spoiling: the gravy, the mash potato, and even in the salad bar area; something was starting to smell rancid. So if you're going to charge an EXTRA 10%--at least make sure the food is worth the extra charge. Service was poor. There weren't a lot of people; yet, you didn't see the staff going around picking up dirty plates or asking if you needed a refill on the drinks that are refillable. They had maybe one decent waitress and that was Carmen. She may have been on break or something, but when she came on board that's when our table and drinks were getting taken care for. As for the atmosphere, the place just seems dull and empty. The hostesses have a very unwelcoming aura and the way they explain things; executed with an attitude. The staff behind the food were no better. When you asked them about the food just to clarify if there was a specific ingredient they looked at you like you were asking the most ridiculous question and answered with a snarky/hostile attitude. I guess I should be sorry that I'm asking because unfortunately I have a food allergy. We used to go here: pre-COVID and the food was excellent. But now, I really don't recommend it. read more

Restaurant opened at 11:30, got there at 12 and it was getting full. You can validate your ticket there for an extra 30 mins.
