This is a diamond in the rough for Nashville vegan food. Don't let the small ambiance deturb you from this place. You will not go home disappointed. I had the BBQ Chick Po Boy and my girlfriend had the Cheese Steak Sandwich. They were both delicious with great texture and flavor. Our waitress was tentative to our needs and was very welcoming. First time trying this restaurant. Nice, small cafe. Ambiance was good with fun artwork on the walls. Clean. I asked for recommendations, and the cashier told me he wasn't vegan and could only recommend the one thing he has tried. I asked if the mango tea was a sweet tea, because I don't like southern sweet tea. He didn't know because he hasn't tried it. I ordered the "Not" Bacon Burger: House-made black bean patty, grilled onions, sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, coconut bacon, veganaise, ketchup, mustard, on a bun. It came with thick cut fries, and I ordered a mango tea. Total: $24.92 Overall, I thought the flavor of the burger was good, but could have done without the coconut. Although it gave a needed texture component, the sweetness clashed with the other flavors. The burger quickly fell apart while eating, so I needed a fork to finish it. The mango tea was good, but felt $7 was a bit high. It did come with free refills though. Rating - Food: 3.5/5 - Value: 3/5 - Service: 3.5/5 - Ambiance: 4/5 Overall, it was a good meal and I plan on returning to try some other menu items. Came here for dinner our first night in Nashville. It was within walking distance of our hotel, which was a nice convenience. The restaurant appears to be an old house that had been converted. We were greeted by a friendly woman who doubled as hostess and waitress. She seated us immediately. There were 4 table set ups in the dining room and two were already occupied. Although the interior was small they do have plenty of outdoor seating and food can also be taken to go. My wife and I decided to order a couple of different entrees and share. We had the Soul Chic Hot Plate and the Lasagna. It took about 20 minutes for the first entree to come out. It was a bit surprising given they didn't seem to be terribly busy. Since we both were pretty hungry we started in before the second entree was brought out. The plate came with Chik'n pieces, mac & cheese, collared greens, fries, and a roll. There was a dipping sauce for the Chik'n included as well. The best parts of the plate were the Chik'n pieces and fries. The mac & cheese wasn't bad but it wasn't as cheesy as I expected. The greens were cooked down to a nice tenderness but I had to add some hot sauce to give it some additional flavor. The lasagna came out a few minutes after. I wasn't too impressed by it. The amount of marinara was a bit overwhelming and we had to scrape it off. Overall, the food was decent and the service was exceptional. It was a nice alternative to some of the other meals we had as it wasn't too heavy. Not sure if this spot would in my regular rotation if I lived there, but it is a good option for something healthier than most restaurants offer. read more

Omg I wish I could give 100 stars. We came to Nashville for my daughter's business trip. We were looking for vegan restaurants on 3 of our phones. We all pulled up this restaurant and figured it was a good sign. At first we couldn't find the place because it is a little hidden. OMG this is the best hidden vegan restaurant EVER. The food was AMAZING and the hospitality was even better. My seven year old son could not stop talking about how good this food was. We will be coming back EVERY time we visit Nashville. read more

I am not vegan, I am vegetarian, so I was hesitant to try this place out. It's super tiny, and in an odd location, but when you walk in you immediately smell the delicious smells of their food. I got the soul chik plate hot, Philly Cheese Sandwich, and the BBQ tofu wrap. Some sorrel as well as my drink. Everything was excellent. The best vegan food. THE BEST! It was spicy of course but then the ranch came right in to add a creaminess and a cooling blanket to my blazing mouth. Such a good combo. If I lived here, I'd for suuuure be a regular. This is the best vegan soul food I've ever had. We were just passing through and found this gem and the moment my husband said they have collard greens I wanted to go here. All of the workers were kind and the front desk lady was polite and wonderful. It's a tiny little place, make sure you plan to either wait, eat outside or take it to go. I was super stoked to try Vege-licious on my visit to Nashville, and it did not disappoint. I was expecting to get the hot fried chicken sandwich, but was talked into the hot SoulChik plate instead so I could try the sides, too. I was thrilled with all of it! The soy-based chicken was just the right amount of spice for me, and while it may have been a bit better on a bun in sandwich format, I definitely still enjoyed it. I'm not a collard greens fan...I tried, but ultimately skipped over them. The potatoes are hard to mess up, but somehow we're even better than I expected. And the mac & cheese was probably among the best vegan versions I've had! The blueberry bread pudding was pretty good, but not the best I've had. The ice cream was pretty icy, so a lot better once melted. It was made to order, meaning it came out hot and fresh, but also meant waiting for 20+ minutes after we finished eating even though we ordered it with the meal. Also, the blueberries didn't really add to it imo, and would have been better with chocolate maybe. My omni friend got the lasagna and said she would have never known it was vegan. I had a bite and was pretty happy with it as well. Ultimately, I'd definitely go to try more! read more

I'm from California and we do vegan but Nashville (home of meat and 3 and barbecue) might have just taken the award for best vegan spot when it comes to VegeLicious Prepare to wait because the food does take awhile but that is because they are preparing it with love. Some of the best pancakes you'll ever have in your life (pecan) Try and go on a weekend when they are doing brunch. Staff was friendly and literally EVERYTHING we tried was the bomb dot com. This food was absolutely delicious! The decor does not match the high quality of the food. I got the fried chicken plate and it was some of the best fried chicken i've ever gotten.
