Since it was our first time eating here we asked for some recommendations, and they were rockstars reading our hungry minds. Generally great, but downhill lately. They got rid of the family meal day (two entrees + two salads). They rotate their menu, which is great but they got rid of our favorite items: Rustic farm bowl and Nashville sandwich. They kept the far east bowl which I love at least. Lentil soup is great and we use it as a dip. They added a reuban and it's both terrible and sad with a ridiculous price of $12 no sides. What they give you is a sandwich you'd be disappointed to get on an airplane. Kraut was a few shreds. Bread is meh. Sauce is meh. The "corner beef" is gross. Go with a marinated tempeh like Cafe Yum does, quadruple the kraut, double the sauce, get rid of the nasty fake cheese. read more

I've been very happy with the few things I've tried - the Caesar crunch wrap, the special green burger and the simple junior burger. The fries are also delicious. After Native Foods closed, I really needed a new vegan place and thank goodness Veggie Grill is there and that they added some more burgers from Next Level, like the quinoa mushroom and some others that are not just fake meat imitators . My only suggestion is more gluten free items without having to substitute or remove things from a meal, or be up charged for a GF bun/wrap. Make the croutons and onion rings gluten free please! Make All items easier to be gluten free, without having to just subtract items from a meal. read more

I have now dinned at this location by all the means possible- dine-in, catering, and to go. I have never had a meal that wasn't excellent. They are efficient, friendly, and no matter what I order it is always delicious. Last week we ordered a family picnic pack and one additional burger. All was excellent, there was only one minor thing, we ordered the wings, with BBQ, but received plan wings. Veggie grill has been a long time favorite of mine. In my experience they have been a pioneer of vegan eats and also have gluten free options. I am neither vegan nor gluten free and I would have no problem eating here regularly. My favorite part of each visit is the huge variety of flavors and dishes without needing a huge menu. Everything I've tried here has been good and even for those who love their meats there are still some great options. Highly recommend the sweet potato fries, Santa fe chicken and well pretty much anything else. Their seasonal options are always intriguing too. The best part of eating here is feeling great afterwards because portions are not excessive and lots of fresh and healthy ingredients are used. Looking forward to returning soon! read more

When my girlfriend and I walked in we were immediately greeted by Genadine. I haven't been here in a while due to Covid. So great impression since it's been a while. I used to come here all the time for lunch with my hubby. She asked us if we had any questions or if we needed any help with the new app. We ordered the grillin chicken which was delicious. I highly recommend it. We also ordered the sweet potato fries which were a little warm so they remade them. Genadine also gave us a treat for our wait which wasn't even too long. She also gave us an appetizer card which wasn't necessary but very sweet. She took the time to chat with me for a couple of minutes. I always appreciate when someone at restaurant takes the time to connect with the customer. The other manager Perla also took the time to connect with me as well to make sure we were satisfied with our visit. I will be returning. Thank you for a positive visit and great food team. When my associates suggested that we eat here for lunch, I was seriously disappointed and hesitant to go. I'm a huge fan of chicken, so the thought of eating chikin wasn't exactly appealing. But I didn't want to kill the vibe. I actually ended up really loving the food. I also loved how clean it was and the interior design made it really modern. Ordered: Buffalo Bomber-- Two split halfs of a sandwhich, with crispy chikin, buffalo sauce, lettuce, onions, and tomatoes on a wheat bun. Everything game together really nicely and I hardly noticed that the patties weren't actual chicken. French Fries-- Not too greasy, but not on the soggy side either. With it being so hot outside I wanted something light, quick, and healthy. The deli sub in a wrap paired with a simple mixed greens salad with pickled onions and balsamic vinaigrette was exactly what I was looking for! I keep giving the Beaverton location a chance. I have ordered the Luxe burger at least 5 times now, and it has never been complete - they never have the roasted mushroom topping. Not exaggerating, I have literally never seen this. Not once have I gotten the burger the way it is intended, and they only tell you this as they are serving it to you. They often offer a veggie side to make up for it, and once they were out of that as well. Today, the customer ahead of me asked if the soup was dairy free. The cashier did not know, and when she asked a coworker, that person said no. Hmm. She then corrected herself and said"we have no dairy." I do like how they offer water and various lemonades as drinks. The wrap came out quickly and was very simple and the perfect portion, as it seemed liked a standard wrap size and not a "mini" one. Came in here Monday for lunch. Although the food at this location has improved since my last visit, it's still far behind the other Veggie Grill locations. Got the crab cake sandwich, and while it was delicious, it was clearly just the fish filet in there (from the fish tacos) and not the crab cake. The "artisanal wine" that they advertise on the outside of the building was nowhere to be found -- instead there were 3 sad Coronas and Stella Artois. Everything felt very rushed, most tables were not bussed in a timely manner and overall the place lacked love. If this is your first and only visit to a Veggie Grill, know that this chain is amazing and it's only uphill from here! The one in downtown Portland is much better! 5 star chain vegetarian restaurant ! WOW - I never thought that would ever be writing that down! Pleasantly surprised - and I didn't miss the meat at all. I got the Chickn' Plate - which had Cauliflower Mash with Gravy, Kale, and a Chick'n patty. The texture was not what i would have expected - i thought i'd get something tofu like - instead, it kind of tasted and was textured like a chicken breast. Have always loved their burgers!!! Their Hillsboro franchisee got closed last year. This Beaverton VG is the first one in Portland!! I have been visiting it since its inception. The quality has remained same. They have elaborated their menu and I like the seasonal specials. They have some good healthy salad options too. They keep sending email offers occasionally. The offers are pretty good. Their food is always filling and the place is colorful! They have quick take Aways. I am going to try their quinoa patty next time. I've always enjoyed my meals from Veggie Grill. Today was the first time I've ever gotten take out, though, and I'm so impressed that I was motivated to write a review. Veggie Grill - 100% plant based foods. Awesome! Always tastes good. Essential. Fast? I didn't know! I ordered a take out burger which came with fries and it was ready so fast. Not only was it ready but it was clearly fresh and hot when I bit into it, including the fries! I also have to plug my meal: Lucky Star Burger. No modifications. It was AMAZING! I was super excited to try out Veggie Grill. Even though I eat meat, this place just sounded super yummy. Staff was very friendly upon entering and yes, they sell alcohol! I opted for the Papa Portobello Burger with the red cabbage slaw. The slaw was fresh and crisp. No mayo, so I enjoyed it. The burger itself was so-so. The potobello was grilled nicely, but not seasoned in any way. There was pesto and some chipotle sauce on it that made for an odd mix, but not bad. Grilled onions were good, but there was garlic on it....like whole garlic....not chopped, some was huge! How am I supposed to eat that? All in all the burger was super messy. It wasn't bad tasting by any means but could have been much better I felt. The bun was a bit on the dry side. I would certianly come back to perhaps try another option. Everything looked alright, especially the yam fries. Prices are OK. $8.50 for my burger that came with either chili or the slaw. It's around $2 extra if you'd like to have a different side dish. read more

Ok. I have been waiting to be able to write this review for A YEAR AND A HALF, PEOPLE. For those of you who are confused: I live in MKE, WI and it is not the most veggie/vegan friendly city. There are some great places here and there, but the state like makes a ton of dairy and cow meat. Gross. So my goal was to try out Veggie Grill, and I'll admit I was super biased because I figured I would love it. The first time around (yes, because we did go twice in 24 hours) BF and I got chick'n sandwiches (buffalo and Santa Fe), the seasonal turk'y sandwich, sweet potato fries, and Indian styled cauliflower as a side. Restaurant is clean and modern, and the food came out in less than five minutes each time! Way to go, Veggie Grill! Chick'n sandwiches, buffalo and Santa Fe: the chick'n was tender and super crispy and it tasted fantastic. Loved all the authentic fixings (guac on the SW style, hot sauce and ranch on the buffalo). The buns were whole-grainy and were sturdy enough to hold up the sandwich. Sides: coleslaw, fries, and Indian cauliflower: coleslaw was slightly creamy but was very light, so a perfect accompaniment to something spicy. The sweet potato fries were also crispy and delicious and had something like ginger ? on top. Regular fries were yummmmmmy. The Indian style cauliflower was really nice. It was crisp but tender and my overburdened with sauce or flavor. Seasonal turk'y sandwich: Now I didn't try any of this, but the BF wolfed it down and I'm assuming he loved it. It was a hoagie style with turk'y, gravy, stuffing and cranberry sauce (he nixed the sauce). AND their cucumber mint limeade was absolutely delicious. I watered mine down a ton but it was fantastic. I felt cleansed. Overall, vegetarian heaven. Will return... to eat all the food. read more

First off, this is not a full service restaurant, you seat yourself. You then place the order with the cashier and they bring the food out to you. You have to fetch your own drinks, utensils, etc.. The food is quite bad, really. I ordered a Beyond Burger on a Brioche bun and sweet potatoes fries. The patty is quite tasteless, you don't really know what you're eating and the Brioche bun is stale and very dry. The sweet potato fries were as limp and they get and apparently not freshly made. My friend ordered a faux chicken sandwich which he said was edible but not good. I felt ripped off paying $29.50 for this lousy food. Suffice it to say that I will not be returning. read more

I've been a fan for a decade or so. I've been going to this location about 3 years. Up until recently, I've always had decent experiences. Occasionally, things would taste "off", portions sizes would differ greatly, or veggies would be undercooked. Today's visit deserved its own review. I purchased the Beyond Burger to go. I cook these at home, and I'm very familiar with the product. The burger appears to have been cooked ahead of time, the zapped in the microwave before serving. Half was overcooked , and half was still pink. Dry as hell, too. I received maybe 10 French fries. Usually, I get so many that I cannot even finish them. Finally, I found something burned beyond recognition under the burger. I cannot fathom the price tag of $12.95 for this meal. The idea of a vegan "fast food" chain is amazing. I back this company and what they do. After today's visit, however, I may be moving on to other places, or simply preparing at home. RIP. read more

As a vegan, I love this place. As someone who enjoys flavor, not so much. If you like food to have taste, I don't think this place is great for you. I just want to walk in the kitchen and teach the cooks how to properly season food. I mean, I'm sure they do as they're told but oh gosh. I love the app and earning rewards points toward discounts on future orders. They also email me regular coupons and specials on the holidays. They have gift card specials during the holidays and we always stock up. Food is delicious and staff friendly but only con is they run out of certain items often. They do have a good variety of menu options and great seasonal selections to keep me from getting bored though. I miss when they had a location near tanasbourne though. Five stars for outstanding food. No joke I'm a vegan and I've forced all my family who are foodies and aren't vegan to eat here with me... Now they come willingly cuz its delish! The staff is nice. The food is filling and healthy They do an amazing job with blending flavors together to make a great dish. Seasonal dishes are a big plus. I'd reccomend trying something on their seasonal menu. Lemonades and teas are good I like the teas especially. I've spoken with management a few times and they are very nice. The cooks. The greeters.
