Veggie grill doesn't disappoint! I really enjoyed the kimchi bowl. I thought it was well balanced with seasoned vegetables, brown rice, and bulgogi. The loaded burrito was also delicious and full of rice. I wish there were more sauce options like salsa verde. The truffle mac and cheese was a bit bland. I wished it was more cheesy or had more of a truffle taste. The staff was nice! The ambiance is ok. They're definitely in need of a remodel because the booths are definitely old.

Great experience at Next Level. BOGO tacos for the month of February is such a great deal! I got the fish tacos and the Baja tacos and they were actually so yummy. The flavors were on point and the ingredients were fresh and crunchy you can tell. I love going places and they use quality level of food. You can tell they don't skimp out on their food quality here.

I went there just over a week ago with a friend of mine who came to visit the area. We went in and ordered at this kiosk right by the front. She ordered a Beyond Classic Cheeseburger with the Mac n cheese, and I ordered the Steak Asada Burrito. The cheeseburger was, unfortunately, a bit dry and nothing to write home about and the Mac n cheese just wasn't that great. The steak asada burrito was delicious though. I really like how fresh it tasted and the steak tasted really similar to meat. I really liked how many options the menu has and how the allergies were clearly listed on the menu board. It was unexpected how much different food they had for being entirely vegan. I would go back, but I would just stick to the steak burrito.

Okay so we used to come here weekly. Or at least bi-weekly. But there was always a sewage like smell closer to the back and it was gross and rhe service just kept tanking. So it had been YEARS since we had come. I want to be clear that I came back because of NLB buying VG. This was my first visit back. The menu is different. I think for the best. I ordered a Jr. Burger with a Yo egg on top. My daughter got the Nachos and my son the Chick'n Bacun Ranch. He literally gets that EVERY time we go to NLB so he went for the usual lol I wasn't impressed with mine. The burgers aren't as good as NLB. The Yo Egg was overcooked. The fries were good and my kids loved their food. They absolutely LOVED the Belgian Chocolate Cake though. They devoured it after Cam, who took our order, VERY descriptively told us what it was like. Honestly, if you had a contest to sell the most desserts, just have him describe them because they were HOOKED lol I did NOT enjoy a dessert but my son was sweet enough to give me a taste and YES that dessert was everything Cam had promised us. Frankly he made our night. Because his energy and joy, his happiness, was contagious. My daughter said WOW he's amazing. He made my day. I said then baby, you should tell him that!! And she did. Her personality is much the same. Always making everyone's day. I'd definitely go back just because I had two happy and full kids.

Subpar for a Next Level location! I usually love NextLevel Burger, and have my favorite menu items. I've been to this location many times over the last 10 years. They have their ups and downs but this time was hard to chew. Literally. I ordered the Avocado Bacon Cobb Salad with Ranch. It was the ranch that was off. I've had their ranch before and it was ok, bland but not bad. This time it was gooey, like a marshmallow frosting. It was hard to stomach, so I didn't eat much. I also ordered the Special Style Fries, and the cheese was just shreds not melted. Maybe I'm just used to the other locations that really have the execution down. The only reason I'm not giving it 1 star is because the staff are always so friendly and helpful and awesome. We also had the carrot cake that was delightful. Hopefully they can figure out how to better prepare the menu items.

UPDATE TO MANAGER SALEENS RESPONSE Thank you so much for acknowledging my review so kindly! I can't wait to go back to try other stuff, the menu is huge! I definitely want go try the tofu and tempeh dishes as well as this Sunrise burger you mentioned! I love this place so much I could cry! Lol. I just want to plop myself there and never leave! Breakfast, lunch and dinner, yes please! I'm not missing the meat and dairy based cheese it's sooo good! First off, the staff was so super friendly, kind, & chill, both times I went. Everywhere should be so nice, take note places ;) I literally loved everything I tried except for the chicken strips. I don't know why, they just didn't taste like better plant based chicken that I've had. - 1 star The fish tacos were absolutely unbelievable! But they are small, you only get 2 small tacos. I don't care for the corn tacos because I never do, but the fish tasted so real and tender, though not enough of it. - 4 stars The Cobb salad was good. There appears no substitute for eggs yet. I'm not a fan of garbanzo beans so I may ask for a substitute next time, but otherwise it was decent. At first I didn't like the plant based bacon, then it grew on me - 3 stars The steak fajitas were amazing! You get 4, but I only took a photo of 2 because I may have wolfed them down at that point lol. - 5 stars! The Korean steak bowl was one of the best foods ever invented! But the sauce is super spicy so I'd get waaay less next time. I loved the steak combo with the sweet potatoes, pickled cucumbers and avocado! - 5 stars! Lastly, we had the Saint Patty's day cake and Belgian chocolate cake. Both were tasty, but the St. Patty's tasted a bit fresher, though I can do without the salt on top. The frosting was quite good. The Belgian cake was a semi sweet chocolate, I'd get both again. - 4 stars

    This is the guy

This was my first time here and this guy with the rag on his had gave very weak non chalant service and made me feel like I was getting on his nerves. Food is good but didn't like that encounter at all. The other guy Jose seemed like he had better service. I'll change my review if when I come back the service is better.

Cheeseburger, steak taco, cauliflower taco, and Sonoran bowl.

Excellent food! And so many choices. (Non vegan friend was fooled by house made vegan cheeseburger!!!). And the service is always great. Super knowledgeable and friendly, and clean, clean, CLEAN?

I used to love this place but they have consumed the corporate koolaid. They now charge you if you want to substitute american cheese for the bleu cheese, or for any other substitution. They ask you "which side dish you you like with your meal?" Implying the meal includes a side dish, but oh look, they charged me extra for that too. And the final insult? The fries, which I paid extra to get, were just barely above room temperature

The food was absolutely delicious as it always is! Their new items are great additions and just make me want to eat here more. I'm not vegan/vegetarian but I enjoy everything they offer. Lots of flavor in everything. They were very cluttered up front and in the back (what you can see) and not too quick about clearing tables. The decor is nice, their utensils and sauces are stocked at the soda fountain. Music was nice as well, family friendly hits. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is simply because of the slow service. They had three women up front and two men cooking in the back and they stood around talking (two of the women) while one was answering the phone, taking orders and clearing tables... and we watched all of our items one by one get set up on the hot plate waiting to be brought over for about ten minutes and once everything was there then one of the chatty women brought it over. Honestly, that doesn't deter me from going because I love their food so much!

Classic house veggie burger with sweet potato fries, amazzzzing crispy fries!!!!

Overall the service was satisfactory, nothing really to write home about either way. That being said I would have liked the food to be a bit more substantial for the prices. The pricing felt a bit high for what was served both in terms of substance and quantity. A final minor note is that I consider calling the Turmeric Fries "fries" a bit misleading considering that they are most definitely chips and that was more than a little disappointing when they came out.

She had recommended it, was excited to share it with us. There was no single incident that explains what happened. Instead, it was a series of interactions that became increasingly dismissive, hostile, and ultimately humiliating. The first moment that gave us pause came when my friend's ID was returned so carelessly that it landed on the floor. The server then walked away without explanation, only to return and inform us she would not be serving us drinks. Being denied a drink was never the issue, though the manner in which it was handled felt abrupt and unwarranted. When we attempted to understand the concern, there was no effort to communicate, clarify, or review the additional identification we had available, including a passport. Instead, the interaction became increasingly adversarial. We were told we could cause the restaurant to lose its liquor license and were ultimately instructed to leave. At that point, it no longer felt like a conversation about identification. It felt like a complete breakdown in professionalism and basic respect. Before leaving, my friend calmly asked to speak with someone in charge. She was visibly upset, holding back tears, but remained composed throughout the interaction. Rather than attempting to understand or de-escalate the situation, another staff member escalated it further, becoming confrontational and referring to her as a "bish." I have worked in food service and understand that mistakes happen. Portland has no shortage of exceptional restaurants. I would spend my time and money elsewhere. 0/5
