The food was absolutely good I got a avocado bacon Cobb salad without the bacon with mango vinegar, the mango vinegar was really good I've never had that which was new for me, the staff was helpful, the entry is accessible for disabled individuals, the location is in a nice quiet busy area. The establishment was also nice, you can have meetings here or just to meet with a friend or by yourself. It's another place that's good if you wanted to start off on your healthy journey. ATTENTION MANAGEMENT/OWNERS: YOUR STAFF NEEDS HELP!!! I came to pick up an order on Sunday, 3/9/25 around 8:30pm. I gave the cashier my name & she said it would be a couple of minutes. I watched as an employee (expeditor?) frantically tried to pack to-go orders looking totally overwhelmed. The kitchen was making mistakes which slowed him down, but he seemed confused about every order. There was no communication between the cashier (who was doing as little as possible to help) or the cooks and the guy packing orders. He was so busy, he couldn't even acknowledge myself or the other guests picking up orders or a request from a guest in the restaurant for extra sauce. When he finally had time (about 20 minutes later), he asked my name & gave me a bag that had been sitting there the whole time getting cold! The cashier never checked. The cooks looked very confused the whole time like they didn't know the recipes. Your whole staff working that night needs a re-train. No guest focus, no communication & very sloppy execution. I came here last week to grab lunch and arrived around 10:40 am. Since the location wasn't opening until 11 am, I waited in my car for 20 minutes. At 11:02 I walked in to all of the lights off and an employee saying "we don't open until 11:30 today". Rude. No apology or any effort to accommodate me. I want to believe I just caught you on a bad night, but man, things were just not on par at all with the rest of the reviews. I got the "1/4" pound cheese burger and this was nowhere near a quarter pound burger. I've had this at other locations, and this was not that. It was also clearly pre cooked, stored with the cheese on it, and past its prime under a heat lamp. The lettuce was wilted and the bun was sad. I worked in food service for a long time guys, I know when something isn't fresh, and is heat lamped. This was that. For $12...plus tax Not cooked fresh, not a quarter pound, and heat lamped cheese with a sad tired lamped up bun. Not good I also got the macaroni and cheese, which was not only served 10 minutes later than my burger, and there were only three people in here at the time, the macaroni was also barely OK, with the macaroni being overcooked, and the sauce was soupy. I have had these exact same dishes at multiple other veggie grills, and this was the first time I got something that looked like this on both counts. The personality and the people that were working there were very very nice and very considerate and seemed calm and kind, but the food and the vibe of trying to make it good was just totally not happening tonight. If I had been less hungry and they had been last night, I would've probably just sent it back, but they just seemed like they were struggling tonight even with a very empty place, and I still had a long drive so I just let it be. With that said, this was a real disappointment, and this food was just unrecognizable from what I've normally gotten at a Veggie Grill. I am giving this four stars because of the lack of deliciousness with the nachos, I wouldn't suggest them and I think it had dairy . I once went vegan for a period of time and came here religiously as I survived On this for a meat alternative. What I found as if you actually download the app, they will periodically give you a lot of deals. Best meat alternative in the area? Most likely so . A lot of vegan places are very bland with no flavor but veggie Grill stays consistent with all of their locations and this location is actually very high in service as well as quality. My only gripe is that they are constantly changing their menu so some of the things you may like may not be on the menu for very long or they bring it back periodically. I really like the fall sausage bowl with the sweet potatoes but they only bring that back in the fall or maybe some parts of the year but it's not consistent. This particular time I came I tried their Korean "beef" bowl which was decent If you are trying VG for the first time stick with their sandwiches, you cannot go wrong. Something to be said about all of their plates that it is well thought out to include vegan and low-carb alternatives so if you are sticking to your New Year's resolution to be healthier and lose some weight veggie grill is the way to go. The bf and I dined in on a Saturday afternoon. The place was quite quiet and had mostly folks coming in and out for take out/ food delivery orders. We decided to go with: Kimchi Beef Bowl- 1/5 This dish intrigued us the most as we are still on the look out for good mock beef and we loved asian flares in dishes. Sadly, this was complete disappointment. Everything was mushy or awkward to eat- the components don't really pair well together, brocoli is cut very large... poorly seasoned (you absolutely do not taste kimchi anywhere.) The "beef" did not have that slight striated charred glutinous chew I expected, but instead was soft steamed texture. It absolutely failed to pay any homage to korean flavors. Cajun Fish Sandwich- 4/5 The faux meat industry has come a long way for it's white meat seafood fanatics, so I was excited to try them out. The fish filet itself was delicious, piping hot battered crust with a shredded "mayo" up lettuce bed, wedge between a Brioche bun- solid dish. My gripe is there's no cajun flavor and the bread was a little too dense and thick and took away from the filling. Mini Buffalo Chicken Wrap - 4/5 Tried and true, I've love you since 22. I remember fondly on my way back from work/ school I'd swing by at my Veggie Grill in San Diego, picking this up and their Kale Salad for dinner. So simple and convenient to eat- everything is well dressed, no complaints here. 2 drinks from the fountain- 2/5 I remember the days when there were alot more innovative or variety in their drink selection. It's like if hot wings and an autumnal quinoa bowl had a baby. think guy fieri and colby caillat. the only good thing about the tempeh is the texture. It's chewy. there's sooo much lettuce. My problem is I can never wait long enough to take a photo. I love veggie grill. It's my go to order-in when I'm having dinner by myself (kids in bed, husband out for whatever reason). I admit I over order but it's because I can't not order my favorites. I love the fries cauliflower. The texture is perfect and the taste is amazing. You don't even have to love cauliflower to enjoy it. I prefer the Buffalo dipping sauce. Then I love the Buffalo chicken tenders (yes, I love Buffalo sauce). Then my new favorite is the vegan bahn mi. I am not a vegan so I enjoy meaty bahn mi elsewhere, but here the vegan one is flavorful and has a nice selection of pickles inside. My friend ordered the vegan Thanksgiving meal, and the main course of the wellington looked beautiful but had a taste from the choice of vegan meat that was unpleasant. We'll NEVER order that again. The other items that were distasteful were the macaroni and cheese and mushroom gravy. This is definitely one of the most delicious veggie grill locations I've eaten at!! It's located in a part of El Segundo which is abundant with business parks. It's in a outdoor shopping center that seems like many of the stores are health oriented. There is some construction in the parking area which made finding parking a bit difficult, hopefully that will be remedied soon. The employees there were really friendly. I ordered my usual buffalo strips, and then something on their fall seasonal menu. The buffalo strips were probably in the top two tastiest I've ever had at any veggie grill location! I ordered the scallops king mushroom plate. The scallops were the ends of the mushroom. It had the consistency of scallop meaning rubbery. The creamed corn was so flavorful and the fingerling potatoes were good. We also had the tacos. Which came with 3 tacos. The meat was seasoned to perfection. There were corn tortilla chips a small portion of salsa. It also cam with black beans and brown rice. They were not seasoned at all. They were an addition to the meal as the three tacos were filling. Customer service was great they were friendly and helpful. I did return the next day I ordered the Sante de Chik n sandwich. I did not care for it as it is made with tofu and outside of the fried putter portion it was soft to soft for my taste. My friend had the patty melt with the beyond burger and onions. It was good and I must say it tasted like a burger (somewhat). The sauce was an aioli that I would buy and put in everything if given the chance. I can't wait to return to try something else. I used to be a regular at Veggie grill several years ago and now that I work in the area again, I have started to realize I've been sorely missing out by not having enough Veggie Grill in my life! I was and still am a fan of the all hail kale and kale caesar salads but their menu has expanded out so much over the past several years with several new tasty items. I finally got the Beyond Burger which I've been wanting to try and was a huge fan! My mouth is literally watering just thinking about it. I also got the Sonoran bowl which was honestly a little more boring than I wanted but still wasn't terrible. I think they could have chosen better vegetables to go along with it. My very first COVID-19 review. This place was not only a lifesaver but quite possibly one of the best vegan/ restaurants I have ever been to. Even my children who are not vegans could not believe this was a vegan restaurant. The food is so fulfilling, fresh and delicious. I arrived late into LAX amidst the beginning of Coronavirus restaurant closings. I frantically called around as I was starving and it's difficult enough to find healthy, true vegan, restaurants, open late. At last, Veggie Grill in El Segundo. Manager Juan. The young lady who answered was so kind and helpful. I couldn't decide so I ordered 6 meals and would share amongst family, and carrot cake.
