There is absolutely nothing wrong with Veggie Grill, and I'm thankful to have it...in much the same way I am happy walking into a Denny's when travelling and nothing better is in the area. I've eaten at Veggie Grills' numerous times. Its good solid vegan food you can count on, nothing bold or adventurous, food *almost* anyone (veggie or not) can eat happily. I hope one day they are as ubiquitous as Denny's. With the pandemic we have been trying new places. My daughter has long been a fan of Veggie Grill and suggested the family give it a try. OMG - soooo good! The store is super clean, we ordered on-line and the staff was friendly during pick up. In the end my wife had to talk with Customer Service about getting credit (points) on her new account (phone app), the customer service folks were great in addressing the situation and got everything squared away. As for the food, the portions are all FRESH and BIG, two things I love when it comes to food. Beyond Crispy tacos - I love tacos and these were good! A grade Mondo Nachos - solid, B grade Grilled Chickin' - prepared just right, A grade Super Taco Salad - filling a god, A grade Buffalo Wings - long strips that taste good, B+ grade Overall I was surprised at how delicious the food was, we will be back! My boyfriend and I both agree that it tastes better than a regular chicken sandwich. I've tried a few other things on the menu like the V.G. Beyond burger (meh), B.T.L.A. (got burnt "bacon," but otherwise would've been decent, and the Koreatown tacos (tasty, but the sauce was too much). Also tried the vegan carrot cake once and it was ok. The cake part itself was good, but it had way too much frosting. Probably wouldn't get it again. The Santa Fe crispy chickin' is by far the best thing on the menu. I pair it with the lentil soup, which kinda tastes like chili. Love it. 5 stars for the crispy chickin' + lentil soup. I wish I could find something else on the menu that is just as good. I'd give other veggie grills 4 stars, but this particular one loses another star because of the employees. Every time I've been there I've had my order taken by someone who just really looked like they didn't want to be there. No enthusiasm, no greeting, no smile. Really, it's not that hard to fake it. I tend to not return to places where the employees can't even fake being friendly. The last time I was there, the girl behind the counter was just slowly working on orders coming out the kitchen behind her. Like, reallyyyy slow. I felt like she was purposely avoiding turning around to check if there was anyone waiting to order. It's been a while since I've been to veggie grill, but the food tastes the same and the service has gotten better! Lots of parking in the plaza, unless you come on the weekend. I usually get the santa fe chicken sandwich which is always a hit for me! their sweet potato fries are the best. I actually don't like sweet potato fries, but I'd def get them at veggie grill. Especially with their chipotle ranch/mayo sauce. My bf got the koreatown tacos, which could have been good if it wasn't drenched in sauce. Service was great too! Who knew vegan food could taste this good? I've been wanting to try Veggie Grill for the longest time, and they had a Labor Day offering of free food with purchase. I wanted to see a movie, and this location was near the AMC we were going to. Perfect.. dinner and a movie! Our free offer was the Crispy Cauliflower - Amazingly yummy!! It reminded me of chinese orange chicken... but without the chicken. I think I could eat this all day. I had the Crispy Chickin' Plate and a bowl of the Asparagus soup. - The chickin' was good, and so was the cauli-mashed potatoes - I wasn't a fan of the dressing on top of my kale. It reminded me of wasabi or horshradish. I tried eating around the dressing, but have to remind myself to ask for no dressing next time. Stephen had the Santa Fe Chickin' sandwich with a side of chili. I tried the chili and it had a nice kick to it, but not overly spicy. I'm a fan, and would like to try other side items. All items here are meat-free and more than half of items on the menu are gluten-friendly. So if you see the word "chicken", those are "fake" meat (made from non-GMO soybeans). Pick-a-pair (Sweetheart Fries + All Hail Kale, $8.25 + tax): For pick-a-pair, you can pick 1 out of 11 different sides + a choice of 1/2 salad (Savory Kale Caesar, Fresh Little Salad, Thai Chicken, or All Hail Kale). Sweetheart fries is just another for sweet potato fries. Personally, it was one of the best sweet potato fries I've ever had (chipotle ranch dipping sauce was so amazing). On the other hand, All Hail Kale tasted unexpectedly delicious with its mildly sweet kale and crunchy walnut. I like veggie grill- I try to steer myself toward the healthy salads, but if you are not eating as healthily, there are some really yummy comfort foods here- the tempura green beans, the sweetheart (sweet potato) fries. The fried cauliflower. All wonderful. I am not into the fake meats since they tend to be really salty, so I avoid the sandwiches and focus on the salads. My family and I are never coming here again. This is the 4th instance at this particular location where we visited this establishment for a dine in experience. After paying for our food and waiting almost an hour for it to arrive, it was served to us in brown bags "to go." We are NEVER asked if our order is to go at this location. It is always ASSUMED that we are not dining in. This makes us feel unwelcomed and as though the staff at this location is eager to take our money and get rid of us as quickly as possible. In past instances, we asked for them to take the bags back and plate our food. Each time they refused and said "It's too late. We've already delivered your order to go." If we hadn't already waited for an hour for the food to arrive to feed our two children who were very hungry at this point, would would've asked for a refund and gone elsewhere. Today's experience was especially disrespectful. I had to ask for my receipt to be given to me after it was withheld upon transaction completion. I walked away then realized I didn't get a number for my family's table. I went back and asked for my number. The checker stated I didn't need a number. I asked why. She replied "Because your order is to go." I advised her that my order is NOT to go and told her not to deliver our food on plates rather than in paper bags as is the custom here. She consented to changing the order and changed my order to dine in. I then asked AGAIN for a table number. The staff member said "No, it's ok, you don't need one. I know who you are." What is that supposed to mean? How very condescending and disrespectful. We will definitely spend our hard earned money at an establishment that treats my family with dignity and respect. read more

Cookies were smashed when packed, so thanks for that. Sauces were not identified and there was no salad dressing. Nothing was the caesar we requested. Cauliflower was tasty. Beyond tacos were good. Sweet potato fries were good. Hot chicken sandwich was fine (small piece on a large bun). Gluten free brownie was fine. These are good people under strange and strained circumstances, so I've given a three-star vs. two-star review. Check your orders. For example,I wasn't sure about a menu item so I asked if I could have a sample and they gave me a very large sample to try, A very delicious sausage I might add.The menu is fantastic, if you haven't been to a veggie Grill you really must try it. I think so far the best quality of food I've experienced was at the Manhattan Beach Veggie grill location. - Buffalo wings were tasty but very little sauce - Portobello mushroom sandwich was extremely good - Crabcake sandwich wasn't something I'd recommend. Very blend and the crab cake patty was completely dry and crunchy. However the reason for three stars instead of four were ridiculous Air conditioning blowing in all directions and outrageous music. I know most restaurants play fast paced music to speed up their customer at eating but this was too much. Damn techno/house music blasting while you trying to have lunch was overwhelming. If it's a nice, bright day (and not scorching hot outside), I would suggest the patio mainly because I personally think the indoor dining space is dimly lit in the daytime. Utensils, napkins, and condiments are located right next to the beverages. I've personally have never had any of Veggie Grill's drinks but they sure sound good! They also serve beer and wine as well. While they do have healthier options like soups and salads, I go to Veggie Grill for my vegetarian junk food fix. My favorite items include: - Fried Cauliflower - Rica Burger - Lucky Star Burger - Crispy Chick'n Sandwich - French Fries I am a HUGE fan of Beyond Meat burgers. While their standard VG Beyond Meat Burger is alright, their specialty burgers have a lot of flavorful additions that blurs the line between these burgers and a beef burger with different toppings. Their crispy chick'n sandwich is good. I've had their Fried Chick'n and I've honestly had better, more convincing vegan fried chicken at other restaurants. Fries are standard skin-on fries, but they're always fresh, crispy, potato-y, and properly salted. Fried cauliflower is also delicious as well. The customer service is hit or miss but almost all the time they are nice . The quality of the food has definitely changed and can be hit or miss if it's busy . If it's busy your food will be cold . I don't mind it ( I like room temperature food ) but it could be an issue to some . Also the rewards has changed ( which made go more often ) the prices have gone up as well ( but what hasn't in recent years ) . My negative star has to do with cleanliness of the location . The restroom, tables and floors sometimes seem like they haven't been cleaned in months / weeks . It is a busy location but I feel this needs to be addressed more . This used to be my favorite veggie grill but lately I been enjoying more the el segundo location . Hope they improve soon and match the prices with the portions . read more

We have been to Veggie Grill before but not this location. We were thrilled to have this option so we made the drive from Long Beach. First off, the location is good sized with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The ambiance is ok, same as all the other locations. I ordered the Seoul Bowl and my hubby ordered the mushroom burger and fries. I had seen a picture of the Seoul Bowl here on Yelp and thought it looked good. I should have listened to the reviewer about their dislike of the bowl but I needed to learn this on my own. The food took forever to arrive and when it did my "chickin" was cold. Not only that but the picture of the Seoul Bowl showed a different kind of chickin? The bowl was bland, cold and the veggies were wilted. I would have much rather had avocado than bland wilted greens. Hubby liked his burger and fries, he said it was average. Not as bursting with flavor as some of his other recent food options.
