Last time I went there, I had to loop around for parking, I engaged in no pleasant conversation and I waited a half hour. As soon as I hit 'send' on that review I regretted it and experience has borne that feeling out to be the correct one. So why am I engaging in the same sort of self-sabotage? I dunno. I must be a glutton for punishment. I don't quite believe that everyone has to undergo a smog check before getting to renew their license/vehicle registration. With the amount of loud revving, black-smoke-kicking-up Mad Max vehicles I see in Middle Tennessee, either I am the only one falling for this scam or there are a lot of people driving illegally -- because there's no way those cars passed inspection. So, back to Dickerson. This smog station is a welcome respite from the long lines and bad attitudes of other ones. If you live out east, you should be coming here. Actually, if you live in Davidson County, you should be coming here. It's worth the drive. Even though the wait has increased (slightly) in the four years I've been coming here, it's not as bad as other locations. And the wait comes from the amount of cars, not from the techs -- all of who have been kind, efficient and speedy. Come with cash, your papers and a (relatively) clean car and you should be in and out in under ten minutes. As long as vehicle emissions are a thing (and considering it's 90 degrees in October, it should be a thing), you should try and make the process as efficient and painless as possible. That's this location. It is. At least, it is now. Please don't mess up a good thing. I don't want to have to have a 'talk' with you about this a year from now...

This was seriously my shortest wait EVER... and while I have to give myself credit for most of it (waiting until the week before the end of the month AND getting there at 11:15) I still gotta give the staff at this locations some mad props because they were fast, efficient, and I like that this location is removed from highly retailed areas, I believe allowing for faster service and less wait time. So as soon as I saw the wait time was 3 minutes around 10:45, I hopped in my car and INCLUDING travel time I was gone for 30 minutes, I was at the emissions location for under 15 minutes. Seriously. I had taken a car there a few years back and had a great experience so we chose to go here with our 2021 Ford Explorer. We didn't know that the company had changed ownership since getting my car worked on here and we had the absolute worst experience ever. The employees here have the worst communication ever and no one seemed to care that we were out a car for an entire month. We dropped off our vehicle on September 11th and JUST picked it up Monday October 16th. The issue was never fixed and we had to pay $800 because according to CarMax the shop didn't work the claim correctly and they could do nothing about it. Our car has the Max Care Bumper to Bumper warranty so the fact they directed us to a shop that doesn't know how to process claims and use the warranty correctly and left us paying $800 for our still broken car doesn't make sense to us still. The shop has the worst customer service and communication ever. We had to constantly call them to get any updates or information and of course only one person, Danny, knew anything about our car. He would give us info that they were waiting on a computer to be able to diagnose the issue and we understood that some things just take time to figure out. However, we were constantly told it would hopefully be done by the end of the week, every time we called for an update. If they couldn't figure it out they should have been honest so we could get it to another shop who had the technicians and technology to get it figured out. Danny was also so difficult to get a hold of. I spoke to him finally on October 9th, he said he'd call by the end of day with an update as the technician was supposed to look at it that afternoon and he never called. My boyfriend followed up two days later and Danny was off that day, the owners were unavailable, and no one in the entire shop knew anything about the status of our car. That was on October 13th, a full month after we dropped it off. The fact that no one had an answer or knew ANYTHING at that point was infuriating. We are BEYOND frustrated with this shop and don't want anyone to experience what we've had to go through. This shop lacks basic customer service and communication skills and our car is still not fixed! Think twice before bringing your car here, if I could give zero stars I would.

I called Polly's Monday morning, 10/23, and they told me the owner was out of town and nothing could be done until he returned the following Monday, 10/30 (today). I called this afternoon, and the owner, Kenny, told me the damage absolutely did not happen there - though it did, and that it's been too long now anyway, so there wasn't anything he'd do about it. How can Polly's guarantee the damage did not happen while in their care when they parked my car across the street on Belmont Blvd., where it could easily have been side-swiped? The sales person and manager assured us that they would be able to get the car we wanted(which was located at another dealership) and all they had to do was swap it for another similar one on their lot. We sat through 3+ hours worth of paperwork, put a thousand dollar good faith payment down(which they immediately processed) and then they shook our hands congratulating us on our new Honda! We assumed that the deal was secure? They said they would be in touch soon to set up the date for us to come pick up our new Honda. Every day we reached out to get an update or eta of when we could pick it up. Every day they didn't have an update. On the fifth day the manager finally reaches out with a phone call, saying oops, the other dealership sold it out from under them. Oh well! He was flippant and unapologetic on the phone. He also said that there were no other vehicles that fit the description of what we wanted located in Tennessee. I got off the phone immediately googled what I wanted and lo and behold found the exact vehicle located in Knoxville, TN at Rusty Wallace Honda. Long story short we cancelled our deal with Music City Honda, drove over 2.5 hours to Rusty Wallace the next day and that evening we had our new car. The associates and managers with Rusty Wallace were professional, helpful, communicative and very apologetic for the process that we had to go through(which is a lot more than I can say for Music City Honda) Beware when looking for your new or used Honda and shop around!We absolutely DO NOT recommend Music City Honda.

I asked him if I could see the part number for the alternator to verify, and he said he does not share part information. I paid my diagnosis fee, and they said they were going to keep my keys until the tow got there, but reluctantly gave them to me after I would not leave without my keys. I got my car towed to Firestone, and they fixed it for $950. Even with another tow, I still paid less than what they quoted me. Brent up-charged me $600 and could not back up any of the information. This place is sketchy, and I cannot believe they are still in business, taking advantage of people. Do NOT go here.

This particular review deals with our latest experience. We went to a car dealership for my daughter's car a few weeks ago, mostly because Ron Hall was backed up. After spending almost $600 fixing the car, the dealership hit us with 3 additional repairs they said needed to be done: power steering leak, radiatior leak, and rear differential leak. The cost was over $2000. Today, Ron Hall looked at it and ran some diagnostics. He said it was more of an ooze on the power steering and they could not find a single cooling system leak or rear differential leak. In the end, he added some fluid to stop the leak and did not charge to examine the car. This is not the first time either. A few years back, my wife had an issue that turned out to be a fuse. Ron told her he could not charge her for replacing a fuse. We have taken all of our cars here and have always been treated fairly. The only thing I hate about giving this type of review is if too many of you see it and start frequenting, making it harder for me to get in. But I feel excellence has to be rewarded.
