The service was OK, but the reason I am giving this business 1 star is because I believe the owner is unethical in his business practice. I came in for a tire patch on drivers side rear tire and since I was already there I decided to ask for a tire rotation as well. Well the tire was in pretty bad shape and they advised me to get a used one instead of patching. I accepted the advice and took the replacement ($80 instead of $30 for a patch). Here is where I ended up having an issue with their business practice. The mechanic correctly installed the Newish tire (the one in better condition) in the same place as the one they replaced (driver rear side). However, me not knowing much about cars asked why my tires were not rotated since I paid for a tire rotation. The owner immediately told the mechanic to switch the driver side front and back tires. The mechanic was hesitant but complied with the owner request anyway. I immediately asked if there was a reason he did not install the tire in the front and was kind of ignored. When I got home i researched a bit about tire rotations. It turns out that in Forward Wheel Drive cars the NEW tires should be installed in the rear not the FRONT where they now put it. This means the owner unethically told the mechanic to incorrectly install the tires in order to justify not refunding me the cost of the tire rotation. Since technically I did not need to have the tires rotated after getting the new tire. At no point did they try explaining to me that this was the correct setup. If they consistently make unethical decisions like this it is only a matter of time before someone gets hurt or has an accident just so the owner can make a few extra dollars. This could have been my go to place to go for flat tires. Instead they lost my trust just to keep a few extra dollars. I'd stay away. read more

He was very kind & helpful. He recommended another auto shop in Downey to get my bumper repaired & repainted. I get paranoid that auto shops will rip me off because I'm a girl that doesn't know too much about cars. But Blas was extremely helpful & let me know what to ask for when getting my car fixed. Got a flat tire , AAA towed the car here, came in the morning with the tire For them to put on since they didn't have the tire and was mad by a guy at the register being extremely rude being extremely rude saying put that tire outside . Not a good first impression. They put the tire on but it was still folded in the rim, They said the rim has to be filed down, Took it to a different tire shop and they fixed it in five seconds, After I got the car back I also paid to get all the tires balanced, And now the car shakes at 40 miles an hour and an app and it pulls hard to the right . they literally destroy my car and all they had to do was change a tire and they couldn't do that right and the check engine light came on right after I got it. I previously had excellent service at the shop the brother ran on Old River School. This last time at the Paramount shop I left feeling very uncertain about what I was told. I went in for diagnostics (I was set to take several long trips). Without running a diagnostics I was told it was most certainly timing belt/timing chain, also the muffler was bad. Was told it would be at least $1200+. I asked him if he should not at least run a diagnostics on it and was told he'd have to do it once they started. I took it to another place asking they check it thoroughly as I would be on long drives, and especially to check what I was previously told was wrong. I was called later and told none of those things were needed. In fact he told his mechanic to do an extra thorough inspection, 24 point inspection, including taking it for a drive to make sure they didn't miss anything. Nothing! Nothing was wrong. I did need to change the battery but that I had figured already. Thats all I have to say. read more

He quoted me $120 & showed me a random car part that he had that he said I would ruin if I didn't get my oil changed with him.
