I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Velasquez and his office while dealing with a dental emergency. I came in with severe pain from what was believed to be a broken and infected tooth. After multiple appointments, several X-rays, and even a CT scan, I still left without any real treatment or resolution. On top of being sent home with yet another prescription from him instead of treatment, the front desk told me the next available appointment for this infected tooth wouldn't be until April!!! A month out!! I couldn't believe it. I left the office in tears because I was in so much pain and felt like no one was taking the urgency of the situation seriously. I ended up calling the office afterward and asked for Dr. Velasquez to call me directly. He never did return my call. Instead, one of the staff members called back later and said they could get me in the following Wednesday. By that point, the infection and pain had become unbearable. Because the infection was getting so bad, the following morning I ultimately had to seek emergency care elsewhere to finally get the treatment I needed. To make matters worse, I am also dealing with a failed root canal done by Dr. Velasquez that is now costing me a significant amount of money to repair. Between the multiple scans, wasted appointments, lack of urgency, and having to find emergency care elsewhere, this entire experience was incredibly frustrating, stressful, painful and costly. I truly hope this office improves how they handle dental emergencies so other patients in severe pain don't have to go through the same experience. read more

Kim did my teeth cleaning yesterday, She was very professional and EXCEPTIONAL!!!. Very detailed, I never had anyone do such a GREAT job. Thank you very much Kim. The only thing Kim was interrupted not once but twice when she was working with me. I think this action was very unprofessional by the person calling her to the office. Amazing dentist and office! First time here and won't be my last. Will be recommending all my friends and family. They took care of my root canal/crown issue, front chipped tooth, cavities and breaking down of old fillings, all in the same appointment. I feel we've got a solid plan moving forward and feel full trust in Dr. Velasquez and staff. They were recommended by another dentist who did not take my insurance, which says a lot. My son is an adult on the spectrum with dental anxiety. He has never stayed in the dental chair without me by his side, and today is the first time he has. As soon as we walked in for his appointment, we were greeted with smiles and asked if we would like something to drink, and I instantly knew this would be a good experience for him. I went back briefly for Dr. Velazquez to review my son's X-rays with me, and he was very kind, patient, and addressed all my concerns. Dr. Velazquez is amazing. I was expecting pain and swelling during and after my procedure because thats what I usually endure but he was quick, gentle and my experience was almost painless. No swelling post procedure. His staff is one of the friendliest staff I have experienced. They truly go above and beyond to work with your schedule. I hated going to the dentist prior to my visit with them but now I truly dont mind it. I went there as a referral because my previous dental office couldn't work with my schedule and I am now switching over with them for all my dental needs. read more

I had just moved nearby and based on Yelp and Google reviews, I went with this dental office. My first appointment was at 11 am for a broken filling. I got to the clinic at 10:51 am and filled out the paperwork. The staff informed me that I would need to be x-rayed. This was by far the least professional x-ray experience I've had, which is terrifying because exposure to x-ray radiation can cause cancer! The tech had trouble with the x-ray which caused her to take far too many images than necessary. When I voiced that I'm concerned about the radiation with all the additional x-ray images she took, the tech told me that the lead apron would protect me. Another person jumped in to finish the x-rays after I replied that my face is not protected. These x-rays took more than 40 min and finished at 11:49 am. By 12:04 pm, I asked one of the staff how much longer I would have to wait, the response was "I don't know, 10 to 20 min?". I walked to the front desk and told them that my appointment is at 11 am, and I've been here for an hour. The front staff looked at me like I'm crazy and told me that "there is a process and every dental office is like this.". Just because taking half a day off work to go to DMV is "normal" and "part of a process", doesn't mean it should be that way. But the difference is, DMV is a monopoly, Velazquez Dental Clinic is not. read more

This dentist does not have a dental hygienist as the dentist himself does all the cleaning. My teeth didn't seem like they had been cleaned at all. Dr. Velazquez is a dentist and lacks the skill to clean teeth. I prefer to make one appointment to have a regular check up and cleaning. At this office you will have to make two appointments because the dentist does both - check up and cleaning. The dentist repaired a chipped tooth and during this procedure he was attending to other patients at the same time as me, so it took much longer than normal. Dr. Velazquez did apologize because the repair took a long time. In all fairness, he did do a good job repairing my tooth. After the repair, it took awhile for the ruff surface at the repair sight to smooth out. I do understand most businesses are trying to cut costs, but having a dedicated hygienist that can properly clean your teeth is a necessity. I changed dentist because I expect better dental care. read more

Just wanted to update my review regarding my 8-21-23, visit with Dr. Velazquez. I feel that it's very important to provide accurate and clear information to help those searching for a good dentist. Upon further inquiry, I was advised and confirmed that an office fee is appropriate per my dental plan. So I must say that this office totally deserves 5 stars!!! This office without a doubt provided the best dental service I have experienced in my 68 years ( and I've been to a lot of dentists /seen a lot of things :-)).
