Went here yesterday for dinner. Very disappointed. We had the Buffalo fried oyster appetizer it was pretty good. I had a cocktail that was not very good. My husband had the burger special and I had the seafood gumbo. My husband liked his but ended up getting ill later that night. My seafood gumbo was not good there was way too much sauce on it and it was far too salty to eat. I picked the shrimp and oysters out of it and left all of the rice and gravy behind. I wanted to order dessert but I figured we should cut our losses. Our waiter was good. He was very friendly and attentive, too bad our food and cocktails were not better. read more

Was in town visiting and drove by the cute patio and food truck, we decided to stop on Monday for lunch and had a server named Misha, she was so nice and talkative and gave us great recommendations and told us her favorites. We ordered the avocado toast to split as an appetizer and it was seriously delicious. I would buy the bread on its own it was so good! Then we got 3 different types of burgers cooked to our liking to perfection. The pimento burger of the day was rich and savory and my all American burger melted in my mouth and was topped with extremely fresh vegetables. The items are on the more expensive side but portions are big and it was all so fresh and totally worth it! I would recommend this to anyone who likes fresh tasting food!! read more

Tonight my husband and I spent a fabulous evening at the newly opened oyster bar. I cannon begin to describe how much we enjoyed every aspect of this evening. We are both oyster lovers and enjoyed some of the best Maine, Virginia, and Chesapeake Bay beauties either of us have eaten in a very long time. Just had lunch here. Food is amazing! They respect their seafood --everything is fresh and nothing is over cooked and even the sides are properly attended to. Stumbled upon this place while in town for work. Went during lunch time! Sat in the oyster bar area, but there was also seating inside main area and outside in the courtyard. Service was amazing. Misha and Doug made my experience worthwhile. The menu was exciting. I decided on the blackened red fish with grilled shrimp, over dirty rice. And omg the dirty rice! It was sooo good! We have been to this establishment more than once. On arrival we were told it's a 15 minute wait... fine, we give our # and state we'll sit at the bar... which is beside hostess stand... and we sit and sit and sit for 10 minutes before being acknowledged by the bartender. not even "here's some H20 I'll be with you soon"? We watch several people get seated. we get a text saying please confirm you are coming... we confirm. 10 minutes later we get a text... we have been dropped from the waiting list. finally after 30 mins my husband walks up and ask the hostess. She said oh sorry i can seat you right away. we wait another 5 minutes and then pay our bar tab. and LEAVE. Here is the thing. We are Real Estate investors and very intrigued with this lovely town. Definitely need some more eating establishments, with employees that understand the hospitality industry. One positive is the bartender poured my husband the wrong beer... I'm conservative in giving 5 stars. This place is fresh food! No frozen/microwaved here. I had the blackened mahi sandwich with some of the best homemade French fries I've ever had. The salad was perfect-- they even take the time to peel the cucumbers. My husband had the blackened mahi, shrimp and dirty rice. His accompanying side salad was different than my salad. Equally as good. Especially, the homemade lemon vinaigrette. We each had a beer on draft. We can't wait to return. read more

I went for lunch with my two sisters. Two of us had had a blackened Maui Maui sandwich with a choice of a side. I chose cole slaw. The fish was so fresh and perfectly cooked. The cole slaw was colorful, crunchy, served in a beautiful bowl and not overly dressed. Delicious. Oh my what a hidden treasure In Palatka. The best oysters I've ever had with a hand squeezed Fresh margarita. The building is a beautiful old building. The staff is amazing. Hard really great things about this place so decided to try it Thursday. Went during lunch hour and have a limit amount of time so I specifically asked if I could be in an hour 30 minutes, understanding that it's lunch hour so that I might not be which is why I asked. They told me absolutely and seated me and 20 minutes asked for the bill and my food to go. 10 min later I had no food and I had already paid my bill - ended up walking out without food. Cut to today (Saturday) around 1:30. Decided to try again. Was able to get drinks and oysters but had to track down waitress to see if we could order and she says "soon." Comes back, takes our order. Finally comes by cheeseburger has no cheese (it was pretty much cold by the time I could corral her again) and she offers to bring me a slice of cheese. Told her no, bring a box and I'll feed it to the dogs. She brings a box, but we have to corral her again to get the check. It's not just me. The three ladies sitting across from the sat there for almost 20 minutes before after third time asking for a server getting someone to take their drink order. The people sitting catty cornered from us were seated and went to the bathroom - they came back & the hostess seated someone else someone else at their table. The food was amazing! My family and I tried multiple apps buffalo fried oysters, they were fried perfectly! The fried green tomatoes with pimento spread were the BEST we've ever had in Florida. I'm rounding up - truly I'd say it was a 3.8. The food was a 5, but the service was more like a 3-4. Cute outside area and oyster bar. We didn't go in to the main dining. We ordered the French dip, fish and grits, crab corn chowder, & fried green tomatoes. All were very tasty. Service was ok but if it were busy I think it would've been poor (we were the only table outside when we went). We were charged full price for a virgin margarita and it said "house - virgin" on the receipt. I'm pregnant so to be charged for alcohol was silly. The soda was flat so our dining partner switched to tea (didn't drink the soda) and they were charged for the 2nd drink, even though we told the server about the soda. When we were brought our appetizer they brought one roll of silverware for a party of 4 and she started to walk away. When we asked for more she looked flustered and said that's all they had at the moment and they were rolling up more. I would've taken it unrolled or she could've grabbed a few of the 20 pre-rolled sets at the empty oyster bar. Despite these hiccups, I would return. read more
