Ordered two tacos and a drink and came in at $17. Service was good. The cashier was friendly. The food came out quickly but I was underwhelmed by the price I paid for the small portions of food. The smash bacon burger taco tasted great but the chicken tikka was pretty mid and mostly rice. Dining room was half full and pretty loud, but had a good vibe.

Take out. First visit. Me-- fried cauliflower taco and spicy shrimp taco which I'd hesitated to order because of the kimchi-- just not my thing usually. But the pleasant order taker explained that it was their own sauce, not a heavily fermented kimchi. And it was very much like the "kimchi " I make using an Asian recipe that calls for 7up. We were there at 4:30 and the place was a mess -- corn kernels on tables and floor. Actually, I cannot imagine eating in that atmosphere. But the food was delicious. I truly liked my tacos and hubby enjoyed the "beef bowl of the day ". Check out their menu. So many mouthwatering choices, even if you want tofu. Or nothing but vege. They offer limited, yet somewhat varied, cocktail and beer choices. I might not want to eat there but I can sure see myself indulging as I wait for my order. Wonder if I can get a margarita to go with my carry out food? After licking our plates clean, we dug in. We both had ordered their red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. The portion is ginormous. We both thought ours was dry, as in day old dry. (Beware, it Didn't look anything like the pix on their menu. Who needs that much sugar anyway?) It's in the hood, the food is creative, craveable, different, well thought out, and be sure to check out their "WTF" (weekly taco feature) menu. Ingenious rotating tasties. See me/us driving through there often.

The food was very flavorful ordered Brisket Nachos and my friend ordered chicken and waffle taco with side of queso. I had minor in conscience and Ez took care of my needs very friendly and customer service equipped. Would recommend.

The food was AMAZING! I had my doubts going in but oh my goodness, I can't wait to go back, honestly, it will probably be tomorrow! The fish taco was divine. The crab cakes were perfection. The dip trio was so good, we could not decide which one we liked best! This place will get you hooked! We were so full yet kept eating! Inwill be back SOON!

Gourmet tacos, tastes super fresh even at 12 midnight. Staff was friendly and nice very attentive. Cute store. I love the menu there is something for everyone. Fish, Chicken, Beef, Pork and Vegetarian options. A must try for late night food. Drive thru can take a while

The salsa is not good at all. It's like crab cake/dumpling filling, so weird texture and also very very warm. The chips are decent, but nothing special.

A plus is that it is open late! Minus--cleanliness. It was around 10:00 when we stopped in and while most tables were occupied we found a spot. But, we had to grab a paper towel and wipe the crumbs off our own table. Ordering staff was OK. I ordered a Tikka Masala and a cauliflower taco. The Hubs ordered a Buffalo chicken and a brisket taco. All four tacos came in the same serving tray and nothing was labeled. Of course, we could tell the difference between the cauliflower and the brisket, but we mistook the Buffalo Chicken and the Tikka Masala. (That was OK because the bite I had of the Buffalo chicken was great.) Note that tacos are much bigger than a normal street taco and are stuffed full so they are a bit messy to eat. If you need a quick drive-thru, I would recommend, Not so much on eating in. Probably adding to the "been there/done that" list.

Love the walk in, order and sit down flow. Menu is organized by meat type. I've been here probably ten times and all staff are great. The communal seating at bar height if great but they also have smaller tables. Make sure to try the favorites! If your on a diet they have the cals. Although, not a place to watch those. Especially if you get the moist red velvet cake.

Great hospitality, great food, cold drinks, great atmosphere. Love it went with a new group of friends!

The tacos were so flavorful and juicy. I loved the seasoning on the beef and the tortillas were nice and soft. The place was casual and felt really welcoming. Service was quick and friendly too. I would totally come back for more.

I eat here on a regular basis and normally enjoy it. However, last Friday night I ordered a couple of tacos and one had a large chicken bone in it. Slightly chipped my tooth when I bit down because I didn't see it. I have tried to contact the company and no response. I will not eat here again. Super disappointed. read more

Me and my son had to go eat late due to the football game and I didn't want to settle for fast food. We decided to check this place out since it got good reviews, and I am glad we did!! I can be a bit picky about what's on my taco, and they were more than nice about changing a few things. The queso was delicious and my only complaint was that we didn't have enough chips to finish it all. Definitely recommend this place if you're needing to eat out late, or just looking for a good taco place on Cherry Street. read more

I was disappointed in 2 of my 3 tacos: the taco of the week, Pina Cola Shrimp, was great. Chicken &waffle had good insides but an oddly tasting waffle tortilla. Cuban pig was really vinegary, in fact what appeared to a blend of grease and vinegar was oozing out both ends, pretty gross. But my vegetarian friend enjoyed his paneer and cauliflower, so I have enough hope to bring me back for another shot. read more

I'm soo pumped that there's a Velvet Taco in Tulsa!!! I'm from Texas and I go here all the time!!! The quality is consistent with the ones in Texas, favorite tacos are the Spicy Chicken Tikka taco, Picnic Taco, Rotisserie and shrimp And grits. All of the tacos here have a unique twist of flavor combos that blend together well. Definitely get their signature velvet cake, it's topped with evaporated milk and it's mouth watering, definitely sweet but soo good. I will definitely come back! read more

The way these tacos are built is perfect. don't bother going to any other taco joints in the area, you will pay the same if not more for a taco less than half the size. They crisp the soft shell a little so the taco stays completely intact. I'm excited to keep coming back and trying new things, I intend to spend my entire summer on this patio. The service was great but the tacos were COLD and nasty.... I was coming from the October Fest a little tipsy but certainly not drunk wanted some tacos to end a great night, I go to this establishment which is open very late thinking I'm about to get a decent taco. I got the rotisserie chicken and it was thee worst decision I made, it was very dry!!! And very bland, the only thing good about my meal was the chips a queso. In the end I expected more, maybe the chef was not felling good idk to be honest... if you do decide to go here do not! Get the rotisserie chicken tacos it was NASTY!!! read more

I had the opportunity to go to the soft opening and I 100000 % recommend. This was my favorite taco place in Dallas and they have brought ALL the magic to Tulsa!! I read about Velvet Taco in the Tulsa World, and I had to try it. I've been there twice. It's very "take out." Meaning you pretty much have to take it home, or eat in your car. That said, I really loved it. Friendly staff, decent prices, and a wide variety of very "funky" tacos. read more

My husband and I ate here for lunch today. We were treated so well and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was clean and fun. I had gluten free options; the salmon taco and the rotisserie chicken taco. Both were really good, but the salmon taco was amazing! My husband had the rotisserie chicken taco and the shredded beef taco #12. He said he loved the beef. It was a hot day so I also got a Ranch Water, which was refreshing and not too strong. It appeared that the owners were on-site so everything was top notch and perfect. Great place for a casual date or to bring your kids, although little ones may have a hard time eating the tacos. Our big kids, who are not picky eaters, would like. I'm excited to go back and try some different tacos! read more

So good! Unique combinations with excellent flavor! Had the Spicy Tikka Chicken, the Buffalo Chicken, and the Mexi-Cali Shrimp. All wonderful! Tikka Chicken took the win for sure. If you're like me and a fun, fresh, live atmosphere with cultural twists on food is your thing...it's the new spot in Tulsa to go for lunch or a late night bite. The place isn't a new concept, but it's new to Tulsa and it doesn't disappoint! Only possible downside is it's LOUD inside, and the cost per taco is a tad higher. If that's not a turn off then get yourself here for a good time and memory! read more

I heard about this place from a friend who was raving about it and I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised! If you like all of the quirky ingredients but hate the blandness of Torchys tacos, this is the place to go! The tacos have great flavor to them! I've tried one of each of their categories of tacos and they were all good. The elote is also pretty dang good! If I had one thing to gripe about it'd be that they don't grill or preheat their corn tortillas so they can be pretty tough. That's why I chose 4 stars rather than 5 read more

T-Town Tacos is their employment readiness program that helps youth by equipping them with the employment skills they need to create a better future for themselves. Not only do they have an amazing mission, but the tacos themselves are delicious and affordable. They have four options for breakfast tacos ($3 each): veggie, chorizo, bacon or sausage, egg & cheese. They all have flour tortillas and amazing flavor. My favorite is the sausage, egg & cheese taco, they use a spiced sausage that I love. For lunch tacos ($4 each), their options are: pork carnitas, chicken fajita, bean & Veggie, or chipotle beef. My favorite is the pork carnitas, the roasted poblano they use is delicious. They also have three salsas available, all made from scratch: traditional roja (tomato+peppers), creamy verde (tomatillo+avocado) and cream salsa (jalapeño+cilantro+ citrus). You can't go wrong with either but I like the verde. If you ever need breakfast or lunch for an event or meeting during the week, their tacos are the way to go. You have to order at least 20 tacos and order with at least 24 hours in advance. Their online catering request makes things super easy. All you need to do is fill out the form on their site with the tacos you need. They conveniently offer delivery to the metro area. Your order is then confirmed by email or phone call after submitting the form. You can also find their trikes serving tacos every Tuesday from 7-9am on 1st and Boston downtown.

One of the most unique parts of the visit was learning that the person seated at the table next to us was the previous owner. She is still a regular customer, and her photo is proudly displayed on the wall in the restaurant. That says a lot about the history, loyalty, and character of this place. I also accidentally left my credit card behind and did not realize it until about an hour and a half later. I called the restaurant, and the management immediately helped resolve the issue. They kindly arranged to mail it to my home in Los Angeles, and I have now received it safely. That level of honesty and customer care is rare.
