Being a wine lover, I always want to try new spots for a nice drink or wine tasting. This spot was perfect for that. There is a nice outdoor seating area where we sat down, and the service was great. We ordered two flights of wine and our server was very knowledgeable, explaining to us all the different wines in detail. It's a great place to catch up with friends and have a relaxing drink, while also enjoying the cozy atmosphere, also close to the beach!

I don't know why it's taken me so long to leave a review but this is hands down my favorite local wine spot. First, every time I have come here, the staff is super nice and knowledgeable. I've done wine tastings here as well as just stopping in for drinks with friends and each time, it has been great. The inside and outside has a cozy local feel to it. The wines are delicious and everything I have had has an amazing taste to it. Today was the first time I tried their orange wine and it was so refreshing and tasty. On my previous visits, I've had their pizza and charcuterie boards which was as equally delicious as their wines. Today, I came during brunch and while I didn't get to eat there, I loved how they had a grill outside the restaurant where you can see the food being cooked. It smelled so good! Great local spot for friends and family. I highly recommend.

I love this place. Ava is an amazing server, great vibe, professional service, a gem. Only note is for the kitchen to render the meat on the lamb sandwich and bacon a little better, little too chewy. But obsessed with everything else I've ordered so far. The bacon wrapped dates I tell everyone about they are amazing. Perfect date spot. Highly recommend.

Nice place for wine and eats. Came here for crypto Monday's event. The Lambwhich was very good and lean. Server and staff are very nice.

Cute spot for wines, charcuterie, and other dishes. They had a really great wine selection and a flight option to try different options. We loved the charcuterie board as well!

Came on a Friday night after an early dinner and didn't have to wait for a table. Had two wine flights of four one ounce pours each - one with three whites and one orange, One all red. Not a fan of the orange wine. Ended up getting a glass of Tempranillo- best choice of reds. Didn't enjoy the Bordeaux nor the cab. Lovely set up with a cozy patio and great benches with heat lamps. Didn't try the food yet so will have to be back. Great service from our friendly server, Sarah !

Perfect place to go if you want to feel unwelcome. Place was pretty empty the waitress / hostess ignored us. After repeated questioning she said we could sit in the back. We said fine. Then she ignored us again for a solid 20 mins. After 4 requests she threw a hockey puck at us, cough, here is our menu. Never once asked how we were, never once tried to make us feel welcome. Never once told us anything about the menu. Now please note we are POCs and the others who came in that were of a different disposition racially speaking were treated far better than we were in my opinion. $30 for 2 glasses of sub par wine later and we had to yell to get the check at which point she gave us some snied comment and feigned last ditch pleasantries just before the check came. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. This place has failed. Ps. Homeless encampments abound outside nearby.

Easily a 5 star. Can there be a 6th star? This place is elite. Wine rotation is fabulous and food bites are the best on Rose.

As first-timers, we ordered quite a few things from the menu, and everything was finger-licking good. The cheeses, in particular, were among the best I've ever had in LA. Service: wonderful. Design: great. Market: a must-go. Even the bathrooms are worth bragging about. Would I make a 30+ minute detour just to dine here -- mandatory in my personal rating scheme to earn five stars? Oh yes. There were two other families with children as well, and it honestly felt like the restaurant was trying to maintain a certain image or atmosphere that didn't include families with kids. We were initially shown to a tucked-away lounge area, which felt like an attempt to keep us out of the main dining area. We declined and were eventually seated at a table. Unfortunately, the service didn't improve much from there. Our waitress was extremely hot and cold throughout the meal. When we ordered our third round of drinks, she visibly reacted with surprise, as if she couldn't believe we were ordering another one. After that, she never came back to check on us. We eventually had to find someone else to close out our check. The most uncomfortable part was toward the end of our meal. Our waitress was standing directly behind us, giving us what felt like a very obvious dirty look with a smirk, almost as if she was signaling that it was time for us to leave. It made the experience feel very unwelcoming and awkward. As for the food and drinks, the cocktails are premade and were pretty mediocre, and the pizza was just average. At this price point, there are plenty of better options in the area where you can get better food and, more importantly, feel genuinely welcomed. Overall, we left disappointed. The atmosphere and service made us feel like our family simply wasn't the type of clientele they wanted, and that's not an experience we'd choose to repeat

The vibes are extremely casual on the inside and I felt overdressed! It is a smaller and more intimate setting with small tables and lots of conversation and laughter. The staff are also very friendly, welcoming, and casual. They talk a lot with each other and their guests. It's like you're eating at a friend's house with how close everyone is with one another. Finally the food. The Caesar salad was extra fishy- it even came with whole anchovies on top! It was not my favorite since I prefer a more subtle anchovies taste in the dressing. The prosciutto and burrata were tasty and refreshing. Their rosemary(?) bread was fluffy and flavorful. The green fettuccine was rich in flavor and very filling. The star of the night for me was their Vodka pasta dish with prosciutto. They said it was a special, so I'm not sure how often they have it. All I can say is I was blown away by how rich the sauce was. The pasta is their biggest selling point- nice, Al dente, and fresh! For the desserts we tried the tiramisu and panna cotta. The tiramisu was nice and light. I personally wish there was more mascarpone, but I am a mascarpone fiend so I'm sure most people would consider it enough! The staff were kind enough to give us a complimentary panna cotta for our anniversary dinner. It was refreshing and subtle. I have never had panna cotta before, so I don't have a reference to which I can compare it. Overall 5/5. I won't sugar coat it. Yes the prices can feel high, but the context is you're right next to the beach, so it's understandable. (I always note the price tag for restaurants because I myself have to plan/save for nicer dinners. I included the bill for reference.) Keep that in mind when you are choosing to dine here. I will say though, I avoid beach side restaurants because they are usually over priced and mid tier. I can confidently say that Casa 12 brings the flavor and a pleasant, homelike break from the sandy beach. I think they are my #1 for pasta flavors. I am eager to see what restaurant can top them!

The broccoli soup, in particular, felt like a side portion, but cost like 16 dollars, which didn't feel anywhere near worth it. My wife felt the same way about the salmon.
