Amazing place. Cool vibes. Cool people hanging out. Bartenders are very cool. Had the short rib and it was phenomenal - very tasty.

My first time at this location. I've always loved Zinqué for a quick lunch or dinner but hadn't been to the Venice one yet and it's honestly so good. The staff make it feel like home the second you walk in, like they're addressing you by name immediately. Special shoutout to Steven for the baklava latte and horjita latte... so delicious, not too sweet, just really flavorful. And Nick was so quick with my to-go order which I appreciated. I ordered my usual wagyu burger with the thin crispy fries and their aioli and it was as good as always. They also have a huge market section with a bunch of international goodies and sweets which I love browsing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is kind of perfect. There's greenery everywhere and it feels like an intimate but still spacious bar/lounge even in the middle of the day[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] definitely coming back soon

Zinque is right next door to the theatre and the best place to come in for a drink and dinner prior to a show. We ordered the side of fries, side salad, and roasted chicken. Oh my. Tender chicken, salad dressed perfectly, not downing. Their cocktails are refreshing. 4 cocktails, side of fries + roasted chicken was split between two people + a new friend at the bar with tons of leftovers. The portion is generous, and shareable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was quick, establishment was clean, and the experience was memorable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great coworking spot in Venice. It's the perfect place to bring your laptop and even your dog while you get some work done. The food is easy to order and comes out quickly, which makes it convenient if you're working for a few hours. I especially enjoyed the fries and the smoothies--both were delicious. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to!

A really cool spot, with amazing ambiance, gorgeous modern design, awesome patio seating with an oversized contemporary fireplace and the food is pretty amazing. I've tried their burrata square pizza as well as the zucchini square pizza. Both were absolutely delicious. They were served heated up and were crunchy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. You could tell that both the burrata and the zucchini ingredients were very fresh and very tasty. As amazing as this place is, the service could use some improvement. At least a few times, including today, young ladies taking my order at the register, acted like they were doing me a favor, taking my order with a cold look. Other than this, I really enjoyed Zinque today and it was great to reconnect with an old friend.

Cute place for brunch with the ladies with ok food and abrupt service. Compared to other brunch spots in the area, there's a great private parking lot in the back. Nice that there's plenty of free parking. The restaurant is pretty with lots of nice natural lighting. There's options for indoor and outdoor seating. We came on a Saturday at 11am and there was plenty of tables available. The 3 of us all ordered different lattes. We were surprised to see that 2 of the lattes came out hot and one was iced. That was interesting because we realize we were not asked if we wanted them hot or cold and the menu didn't specify. However, we each enjoyed the lattes we got. I had the mussels and fries dish. The muscles didn't have much flavor... just a sauce that's creamy. I would not recommend the muscles dish. The fries were cooked to perfection though. My friends enjoyed the crispy sunny eggs and the wagyu burger with fries. While we were chatting, the server came with the point of sale terminal machine and asked us to pay. It was quite abrupt because we had not asked for the bill and we were not show the itemized bill but just verbally told the total. While we paid by credit card, the server hovered and looked very closely to see what tip we'd select. When I went to the restroom, there was another staff member tailgating me because he wanted to use the restroom too. And as we walked out, a different server was also in a rush and accidentally brushed up against my while he walked by. The experience I had with multiple staff members wasn't friendly.

The food was delicious. I'll give them that. But I left my lunch today feeling very unsatisfied both with the service and the experience. First, for lunch you have to order through an app and they deliver food to your table. The bus boy brought out an incorrect order and walked away so fast we didn't even get the chance to tell him it was wrong. I had to walk up to the front counter to see if they could help us correct it which normally wouldn't bother me except in this case when you use the app the automatic default is set to include a 23% tip. Seriously... it feels quite high considering a lack of service. Second, and my biggest issue was that what I ordered is not what I received. Clearly as you'll see by the photograph there appears to be 3-4 donuts for $13. We only received two. Naturally I inquired because there were three of us at the table and we all thought we would each get one. The manager came over and told me that they used to have three donuts and now they only have two per order. I thought that was strange so I asked him why they didn't update the photograph to reflect what people are actually going to receive. He said "because we want it to look good in the picture." False advertising on purpose... He then asked me if I wanted to purchase a second order of donuts to cover everyone at the table. You've got to be kidding me!

Zinqué is one of the most reliable and well-balanced spots in Santa Monica for a casual but elevated café and wine bar experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is what immediately stands out. It has a relaxed, European feel with a clean, open layout that works just as well for a morning coffee as it does for an evening glass of wine. It is comfortable, social, and easy to spend a few hours in without feeling rushed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is consistently good and well executed. The menu leans toward simple, French-inspired dishes done right rather than anything overly complex. Everything feels fresh, well portioned, and thoughtfully prepared. It is the kind of place where you can order a few items to share and know they will all be solid. The drink selection is another strong point. The wine list is approachable but well curated, and the coffee program holds up for daytime visits. It transitions seamlessly from café to wine bar, which is part of what makes it so versatile. Service is efficient and low-pressure, which fits the overall concept perfectly. Overall, Zinqué is not about being flashy. It is about consistency, atmosphere, and quality across the board. A great go-to spot whether you are meeting friends, working during the day, or having a relaxed dinner.

As always, everything was great, food was delicious and we truly enjoyed our visit. However, this time we experienced a longer wait--about 15-25 minutes--before anyone approached us to take our order. While it's nice to see a friendly and relaxed atmosphere among the staff, it did feel like guests were being overlooked during that time. Overall, we're still satisfied and appreciate the experience, but we hope service attentiveness can be improved moving forward.

Whites dry friend chicken sandwich? You WON'T get it here! I have had many fried chicken sandwiches in my life, but hands down, Zinqué has the best I have had. The chicken wasn't moist, and crispy at the same time. It's inside towards the back of a Cote in Venice. Beautiful French bakery, deli. The restaurant is very cozy and huge and nice patio space. The waiter, Steven was very nice and gave great recommendations. I even met the owner, Mark. He was kind into hear me out about an idea I have. Definitely going back.!

I'll always have. A soft-spot for zinque as it's the meal of choice sfter the Los Angeles marathon. Well, now the race no longer ends in Santa Monica. It's rather in century city . I enjoyed the steak and frites for what it is. In a larger party of six, I ordered the wagyu burger with fries. The wagyu burger was juicy. But it was just fine and lacked a little flavor. The cucumbers however, do not work, and I'd highly recommend they end that tradition immediately . The fries were okay as well. But where's the salt ? 3/5

Do not hesitate and order their chicken! It's no wonder everyone keeps raving about it!

MULBERRY - LOTS OF HYPE, LACKING REAL KOREAN FLAVOR AND -  EXPENSIVE…read more I make my own reservations and pay my own bills when I dine out.  PROS: The patio is the place to dine, Service was excellent, two dishes were worth the visit CONS: The food lacks authentic Korean flavor, it's expensive, and there's no regular bar--only fancy organic alcohol with unfamiliar names. PROTIP: Study the menu beforehand, eat on the Patio, order the Wngs and Short Rib and Try Son Nong Dan across the street. SUMMARY: Go to Koreatown and get better food for less I finally visited the much hyped Mulberry the other night, expecting a fantastic experience based on all the hype and social media. What I got was an overpriced meal on Sawtelle that watered down what should have been a showcase for excellent Korean food.  Mulberry is cramped and dark on the inside and excellent on the patio. There are some interesting tables inside near the back, but the Patio is where the action is, especially when the sun is out.It has shades of Hatchet Hall's ambiance and a great vibe. Service comes fast and is very good. They do know what they are doing from a service perspective. Drink orders arrive quickly, and food is served fairly fast. We knew what we wanted before going. Korean Pancake, Wings, Dumplings, Acorn Noodles and Short Ribs.  Korean Pancake - small and just ok flavor. The sauce was good, but for $17, you could get a giant, better tasting pancake almost anywhere else. Fried Chicken Wings - probably one of the two stars of the night--had a fantastic crust and were very plump and juicy. Sauce and pickles were excellent and you get two types of wings with each order, both were excellent.  Acorn Noodles - a very good mix of flavors, good nori, the hard-boiled egg (a surprise) was good--expensive for $22Steamed Dumplings - well made and cooked well, but the lackluster sauce served with them didn't help. A well-crafted dumpling that needs a much more flavorful sauce to accompany it.  Beef Short Ribs - The other star on the menu, along with the wings. Very tender and great taste. Use the salt! We ordered the extras which you don't have to do. Small piece for $49. It's a No Tip restaurant so you get the automatic 20% charge - which I did not mind. Pay the help. Our bill came to $200 for a meal that was probably worth $100.You can go to some of the AYCE Korean BBQ places and get better quality, more food and be happier. The hype for this place will die down. If you like Sawtelle go to Son Nong Dan across the street for an overall better experience and better pricing.

Went early to see if anything opened or if walk-in would be faster, surprisingly they actually had something come available sooner. We opted to sit inside and loved the ambiance. Food - amazing! I read reviews first and watched a couple IG videos so I knew a general idea of what we wanted to order. Glad the server suggested the orange chicken over the walnut shrimp when we were debating it. Chil wontons, absolutely a must get, different from DTF, not crazy spicy but full of flavor and richness. XO fatty noodles, perfect chewiness on the rolled noodles and the flavors were well balanced, we enjoyed them with a little chili paste and the orange chicken as the protein. Orange chicken, soooo much more flavorful than your average Panda Express orange chicken, good sized nuggets of chicken that were crispy and tender at the same time, and the zest livened it up. BBQ pork shank, our server did warn us it's not the easiest to eat, but it's worth it, hard to see cutting it off the bone because it was so dimly lite in the restaurant and your hands will get sticky but once you get chunks off the bone and your bao bun built it's delicious especially when you get the lacquered crispy skin yummm! Only skip for the night was the mango sticky rice. Much rather would've spend $8 on something else. The mango was tart/sour. The sticky rice was too wet and mushy. It was a pass for both of us. Service - our server was awesome. From greeting to end, he was the right amount of attentive and was super helpful with suggestions. Everyone from the food runner to the busser, they were all so nice. From getting us chili paste or to go containers, customer service was on point. Parking - love love that are a few parking spaces right out front. They're metered. But after 8pm it was free so perfect for us. Other than those spaces, there's a lot across the street if you want to risk it or also side streets parking too.

The drinks rotate and I was bummed that I didn't get a chance to try the Ube martini. I got the All Betts are off which is made is guava infused mazcal and it was pretty strong. The smokiness from the mazcal and a hint of fruit gave this drink a unique taste. I will definitely order it again. I also had the bad bunny, I expected it to be slightly sweet from the orange and carrot foam but it was also made with mazcal, and the smokiness took over. Still good, but not what I was expecting. Another person got the Big Strawbowski and she said it was really thick, it had brandy in it and said it tasted like a dessert cocktail. She also had the Fast Car which was mostly ice. She seemed to like it. Apps: the crispy wontons were cooked perfectly. Had a good favor and one of my favorite dish of the night. The squid Ink Xiao long baos were ok, but we let it sit a little too long and it was cold and chewy by the time we actually ate it. So the flavors were ok, it didn't really stand out to me. Mains: the garlic noodles dish did not taste like garlic noodles. I honestly didn't even taste the garlic, but maybe because as a garlic lover, I over use garlic in every thing haha. The orange chicken was also decent, it was light, perfectly sticky and tasty. The walnut shrimp was also decent, well battered and had a nice flavor. Our server was very nice and answered all the questions we had, me from inquiring about the drinks to my friend's dietary restrictions. The resturant itself was trendy and a nice place for good drinks and decent food. I want to go back and try the Hainan Chicken!

My husband opted for a neat Caballito Cerrero Puntas pour (high proof agave spirit). They only had 0.5 Oz for their bottle and only charged for the partial pour. People came in and ordered anything from cocktails to neat pours to flights. It was a cool spot and the bartenders seemed pretty well versed in different cocktails, giving a few suggestions to different patrons. Even making a few Espresso Martinis for a couple of girls that didn't really like their initial cocktails. Staff was cool, attentive, and pretty quick and efficient with the pours. I'd definitely be down to try more drinks here if we roll through again. Luckily, we found some close street parking and it wasn't super busy so we easily found parking in the area. July 2026, I think there were watch parties here for FIFA games. These games are during work hours. Well, I decided to come here for a Singles Meetup. Where is everyone? The bartender showed me a menu which I could order food that will be delivered from The Brixton. Scan the QR code to order. "Sorry, we aren't accepting orders at the moment..." I guess I could finish my beer, pay my tab and go searching for something good to eat. She didn't know the Wi-Fi password neither because they changed the password. Why broadcast the guest Wi-Fi if you aren't going to make it available? There was no organizer for the meetup event. With only a handful of people here, do I want to wait for the karaoke session? It's time to go eat somewhere else.

We started with the fried green tomatoes, and they were a standout. I'm usually not a pimento cheese fan, but here it elevated the dish. Every bite had the perfect balance of crispy crunch, creamy cheese, fresh herbs, and just the right touch of heat. For our mains, we ordered the lamb shank and collard greens. The lamb was fall-off-the-bone tender, and the rich, deeply flavorful broth made it even better. The green beans added a fresh pop that balanced the dish nicely. The collard greens were equally impressive, slow-cooked in a savory, flavorful pot liquor that begged to be soaked up with the must-order cornbread. Crispy on the outside, warm and buttery inside--it was perfection. Don't skip dessert. The chocolate chip cookies arrive warm from the oven and are the perfect ending. With its cozy, nostalgic atmosphere and elevated Southern cooking, Hatchet Hall feels like Sunday dinner at Grandma's--with a modern twist.

The breakfast plate was fine - bacon is really salty. The cornbread is the best part but even that is only good for the first few bites and then is heavy. Service is great though, so is the non-alcoholic cocktails menu and the ambience! Good for vibes and date nights if you're not picky about the food.

Also, having recently traveled throughout Indonesia in part of June & July 2026, I now understand more of the items on the menu from personal experience! Japanese Curry | Savory, hearty & delicious! I was immediately amazed when my plate arrived at the table! Eggplant, squash, baby carrots, and other veggies, swimming in the vibrant Yellow Curry made my mouth water! Each bite was just as yummy as the next! Incredibly flavorful! I would easily order again! Jasmine Rice | An aromatic mix of ginger, lemongrass & Thai lime leaves are both flavorful, as well as a great addition to combine with the Japanese curry dish! English Date Cake | Yum! The cake arrived complete with a beautiful purple flower on top! I absolutely love dates, which was a delicious part of the dessert! The banana toffee sauce really comes through as well! What a delicious combo! I would easily order again! Travel Notes | While in Indonesia I enjoyed some of the local flavors/dishes! After trying Nasi Goreng for the first time, Vegetarian style, I had the dish often throughout my travels! When I first saw the dish on the menu at Wallflower, I had no idea of what the flavors would taste like! Now I know and hopefully, on my next visit, I'll ask if the Chef can create it vegetarian style! Menu Options | More than the main menu is available; Vegan, Vegetarian & Gluten-free! I explored the vegetarian menu! Customer Service | Excellent, friendly and helpful with the menu! Seating | Indoor & Outdoor! Friends and I sat on the outside patio! I love the cute wooden tables! Overall | Yes, please! I enjoyed my dining experience, immensely, at Wallflower! I also had plenty of leftovers to enjoy! I'm looking forward to going back and trying other items on the menu! Let's go!

Every dish tasted thoughtful, unique, and restaurant-week-level refined. We ordered the nasi goreng fried rice, noodles, beef rendang, yam dish, and pea salad. Flavor-wise? Almost everything was incredible. The beef rendang especially was packed with flavor, and every dish felt elevated and intentional. My only reason for knocking off a star is the value. The portions were tiny -- not "small plates" tiny, but more like one-to-two bites each while still being priced aggressively. By the end, I felt more impressed than full. If the portions matched the quality, this would've easily been a 5-star experience. That said, if you care more about exceptional food than portion sizes, this place is worth trying. One of the most memorable meals I've had on the Westside.
