This is def a go-to spot if you're looking for some authentic slices, pies, calzones or pasta! Food is always fresh and hot. You also get your moneys worth. This might be the best pizza spot in Lancaster. I haven't been here in over 20 years, and everything is still top quality. From the pizza to the subs. BAM!! Bellissimo!! This place is the best pizza I've had in Lancaster! We ordered two large pizzas to go for company we had in town and they were just beautiful pizzas with thin crust that had a perfect amount of ingredients on them and plenty of cheese. We ordered the meat lovers with jalapeños and all the meat was on the sauce under the cheese, with the jalapeños on top. That made it fantastic and the meat didn't fall off! My wife had the vegetarian with her sister in law with spinach and pepperoni added to it and they really loved it. Lots of lip smacking good eating! We got 8 of the herb and olive oil bread knot too!. The pizzas were ready exactly when they said they would be and the service was super. The ambience is nice and the place is spotless clean. They also have 6 and 12 packs of many good beers in the stand up coolers to take with! Folks, I'm telling you this it's the place for amazing pizza! Try it you'll like it! read more

First time here and it was a very good experience. The Hawaiian pizza was loaded and delicious. The tuna salad was excellent. Had sweet peppers in it which was something different for me. Great customer service! We called in a fairly large order to pick up, they gave us an approximate pick up time 30 minutes. Pizza was hot and fresh right out of the oven just to our liking at exactly the 30 minute mark. We ordered Sicilian and regular large cheese pies, and two dozen garlic knots. Very very garlicky and lots of oil, delicious. The Sicilian was very bready (dense like), not a bad thing but notable. They are were attentive upon entry and even helped us carry it to the car. No frills restaurant. Tables and Chairs are 1 piece like old school nyc pizzerias. Owners are Egyptian and Georgian and are friendly folks. They were so nice even though we got there 30mins before closing and ordered 4 pizzas to go. They didn't rush us and even politely place the pizza aside while our group finished a pitcher of beer. In my personal opinion, they have some of the best options as far as pizza. The sausage is the flat sausage style opposed to many crumbled variations that we see around here. We ordered three subs and the sub itself was not bad at all but they missed some items on our subs. The service when I called was good and prompt even though they were having electricity issues. Verdict: Forget Arby's, Venice has the meat. A little expensive but some of the better pizza I've had in the area. Granted, I'm basing that meat comment on the Meat Lover's pizza but it was loaded. The Hawaiian pizza, Cheesesteak stromboli, and Italian stromboli were no slouches either with their ingredients and quality flavors. I liked their pizzas more than the bolis but wouldn't turn down anything from Venice. The Hawaiian pizza was my favorite of the four. There's much debate over that type of pizza so I'm sure you like it or you hate it. If you like Hawaiian style, you'll probably really like this one. read more

They close at 11 PM and I come in at 8:30 PM and the young lady is extremely rude and obnoxious. I just asked for a plain slice and she says "what you see is what you get we're not making anything else the end of the night". Very rude and the slices they had looked like garbage. Simply the best! First visit left me astounded. The Calzone/Stromboli was stuffed with an aggressive amount of meat and cheese. The wings were extra crispy and the sauce was tangy and spicy. My son and I found this little gem while looking for someplace to have lunch. We had their pizza. Delicious to say the least. My son had a slice of their mushroom pizza. It was loaded and I mean loaded with fresh sliced mushrooms. I had the pepperoni. Same thing covered from tip to crust with pepperoni. Prices are extremely reasonable. Pizza was hot and tasty. The plan was to stop by on the way to a little league game in Mountville, place an order, leave to drop son off, and come back for pick up....and go eat at the game. Simple plan, right? Two problems arose...first, whoa Nellie, how can I figure out what to order, when 15 or so specialty pizzas are staring me in the face? We ordered a whole pizza-crust pizza for $11.99 (I believe), but with specialty slices with toppings including onion rings, french fries, seafood (which I've heard is amazing), and my order of BBQ chicken, I need to go back to work my way through some more of these options. We also ordered a chicken parm sandwhich, and left. Time lost to an amazing menu is a good problem. Upon return for pickup, we lost time again, but this due to a 10 minute wait for the pizza. I suppose a pretzel crust pizza may take more time to prepare, but we had given 30 minutes as is between order and pick up, so that should have been ample time. Hence, by the time we got back to Mountville, we missed out on our son's first inning of pitching. All things considered, that may have been a good thing...poor outing. Still, one star detraction for the wait time. In all, I'd say those who live near Venice are pretty fortunate. It's a bit pricey, but good things often come with a cost...pay to play, baby! The pizza here is great. I concur with the other reviews. The hidden treasures on the menu however are the cheese steaks. While not true Philly-style cheese steaks, they rock in their own way and are super nummy. Try them! As for ordering, as a regular I've got it down pat, but it can be confusing, especially if they're busy and the line is out the door. Which at the lunch and dinner rush can be quite often. My suggestion: order off-peak dining times. They're a little pricey comparatively, but you're getting great value and quality for the price. Decor is pretty standard "pizza shop in a strip center," but pay close attention to how clean and organized the place is. So when I got there and was asked for the number, I had none and they looked annoyed with me. I'm overlooking that though, since they were quite busy. The kid who rang me up could not have been more than 12 years old - guess it's a family place ;) We just ordered a large cheese pizza, and it was very tasty. DECOR: Its your standard pizza shop feel. Laminated wood booths, pizza behind some glass, italian paintings on the wall. Its a nice clean place with lots of space (even tho it doesnt seem like it at first). SERVICE: It was a bit confusing as to where to stand. A girl was down here taking orders, a guy was up there ringing you up and taking your drink order. For a first timer I wasnt to into the spin around in circles idea of ordering. As for wait staff, there isnt any. They wont wait on your table, but they will bring your food out to you. We're pretty big fans of Venice. Good pizza, lots of variety, and friendly staff. If you order a pizza cooked fresh it is always great. If you get a slice from the pizza's on display, the crust will be a bit crispy from the reheat. I'm not bothered but my brother-in-law thought it was too crispy. Great soups - just a bit salty on the crab bisque but still very tasty. Salads and sandwiches are good too. I've had the greek salad and the chicken cheese steak sandwich.
