First time at Ventana and I tried the Ventana iced coffee a lighter version of a Vietnamese iced coffee. It was delicious I highly recommend it Service was quick and simple friendly staff. There's sitting inside for anyone who would like to stay and work or talk with friends.
Shoutout to my college friends that recommended this place. Double matcha is always a great choice. I was in the area and excited to try this place out. I didn't expect it to be tucked away in a plaza. The storefront looks simple and upon entering, it felt homey. It reminded me of a family owned Korean coffee shop. The staff making our order was helpful, kind, and friendly. I ordered on the kiosk and it was quick and easy. The Double Matcha was creamy and perfectly sweet. I ordered the large and it was worth it. The coffee shop has a restroom in the back, which was clean and organized. Highly recommend checking this place out.
Found this place on Doordash. It came in as the #2 most popular coffee shop. This place is in a shopping center, so plenty of parking. Inside is small, clean minimalist decor. There is a bench that wraps along the inside but not a lot of tables. They have kiosks to place your order. We order the Basque Cheesecake in original and matcha along with the Strawberry Morning Bun. The cheesecake ms were deliciously creamy, not too sweet and flavorful. The bun was flaky with hints of strawberry. The coffee is smooth and not bitter. You can customize the sweetness of your drinks. We added the sweet cold foam on the Iced Hazelnut Latte which was our favorite. The Strawberry Matcha has tons of strawberry flavor with sweet matcha flavor, not grassy. It tends to get busy in waves but their service is good
First time trying Ventana Coffee in Covina! I'd say it's more of a grab-and-go coffee spot than somewhere to sit and hang out. You order everything through a tablet, so there isn't much customer service or interaction. I also thought the add-ons were pretty pricey--around $1 for different milk, 50¢ for sugar-free options or syrups, plus extra for other customizations. My double matcha latte with almond milk, sugar-free sweetener, and lavender syrup came out to around $10. The matcha itself was actually really good! I'd give it an 8.5/10. My sister tried one of their espresso drinks and gave hers a 7.5/10. The biggest downside for me was definitely the price. I understand my substitutions add to the cost, but $10 for a standard-sized drink is a little too much for me to come back regularly. As for the atmosphere, there are some wooden seats, but it didn't really feel like a place to study or sit and catch up with friends. The back area had plants, boxes, and other items, so it definitely gave me more of a get your drink and go vibe. Overall, the matcha was delicious, but between the pricing, extra charges, and limited atmosphere, I probably wouldn't return. Worth trying once if you're curious though!
I was in the area and was craving for coffee. I found this place because of the nice reviews. This place is very spacious with lots of plants. They are also selling their own products. I ordered from the special drink menu. Ordering is self served. I ordered Sea salt cream dark, brown sugar latte and Iced lavender Matcha latte. There was only 1 barista working behind the counter. He smiled at every customer as they walked in while he was busy preparing for our orders. Nice services. The drink came out very tasty! It was not watered down. The matcha taste was strong, but yet I can still taste the lavender! I love it. Will come by again for more coffee when I am in the area.
I like this place just do not like ordering on DoorDash the items do not come secure and closed where a dasher can't tamper with your order. Would love if this was changed because 100% of my orders are always through dash because I rarely have tim. I'm always skeptical ordering like this.
Can I give this coffee 10 stars?!! This coffee is hands down the best damn coffee I've ever had locally. If you see this spot open, don't think...just walk in and order at the little kiosks. That part is self serve and super easy to do. I ordered my normal coffee beverage a cold brew and added sweet cold foam for $1 extra. When I tell you the foam changed my life I'm not even kidding! It's so worth it!!!!! This cold foam was so thick it could save your life if you fell down. If you had a leaky faucet at home, just order some cold foam and it'll stop that drip in its tracks. Like this cold foam can save on plastic and help the environment because it's so thick you don't even need a lid! I wish I could upload a video. Just go try it please. So good! It's such an unassuming little coffee spot next to a laundry place and Chuck E. Cheese in a shopping center that doesn't look like anything special. The interior is minimal with slashes of green plants, some of which are for sale. I haven't tried any of the other coffee drinks because I'm a creature of habit so cold brew is all I need. But if you're in the area, check this spot out! If you get to taste this magical brown elixir sent from the heavens with a touch of foam cloud goodness, you'll be so happy you did. Thank Ventana Coffee for making my afternoon the best ever!
This has been my go to spot recently. This place is in a medium size plaza. It is pretty close to a Chuck E Cheese. Parking may be challenging during the weekends but during the weekday mornings parking is great! Staff is very friendly. I am always greeted upon entering. They have 2 self-serve kiosks. I've recently been drinking the Ventana iced coffee and have been adding the sweet cream cold foam for an extra dollar also had the iced vanilla bean latte with the cold foam. Both are VERY GOOD! I also order the cheese croissant and it's was so flakey definitely a must try! Inside is all bench seating there is plenty of room to sit but not ideal for studying or officing with a laptop. There are no tables tops, they have "coffee table" style tables.
Wow! My husband loves trying new coffee and he tries to find ones that offer non coffee drinks for me. This one was an excellent choice for both of us. He had the sea salt cream dark brown sugar iced latte and I had the tumeric ginger honey iced latte. They were both amazing. My husband ordered his drink half sweet and it was perfect because of the sweet cream top. Staff was friendly and helpful.
I ordered through the kiosk located by the front register. It was easy and simple to use. Coffee: I ordered the horchata iced latte with oat milk and foam on the top. It was a good coffee. I would come back and order it again. Seating: plus size friendly. It is bench type seating with low tables. Not the most comfortable, but definitely mobility and plus size friendly.
Cute coffee spot, kinda lowkey but they had a wide menu of specialty drinks and I think some seasonal too. The baristas behind the counter were super friendly which is always appreciated :) They had some pastries as well I tried and were tasty too
Nice environment to work in. They dont have WiFi, but luckily I had my portable wifi with me. Not exactly comfortable to sit and do homework/work at. They ONE 8ft. table that is occupied by plants and is used for blocking their storage space. Restrooms are available you just have to request it. Serving time is a little bit slow, but they do their best to hand you your drink as soon as possible. The color of this place is pleasing to the eyes. My Butt hurts from sitting on their bench. Their are 2 "tables" spacious enough for a laptop and MAYBE a notebook on the side. The place was busy right after ordering my drink. I had their Ventana which is their take on a Vietnamese drink. My drink was solid. I would only comeback here if I was ordering to go. The place just doesn't have comfortable furniture to be at ease and I'm sure it's by design that they chose this type of furniture.
It's in an unassuming plaza. You wouldn't think there would be a coffee shop in there, but there is! The shop has benches for seating and some low tables to place your drinks on, but this definitely isn't a study spot. I think it's more of a grab and go or grab and chat spot. I got an iced large latte. I like that they have the option of a large cup! Most coffee shops only have the standard 16 oz cup for iced lattes, but Ventana Coffee offers 16 oz or 20 oz for iced lattes! The latte didn't wow me, so I wouldn't make the drive especially for Ventana Coffee, but if I were in the area and wanted a coffee, I would stop by. Service was great. Very kind.

Popped in to get coffee to wake up and boy that was a great decision! I got a large iced coffee (already comes sweetened) and it really good! Didn't realize there were more options, i was just craving for caffeine so definitely Will be back to try it out! read more

Right: sea salt cream dark brown sugar latte I've never seen this latte before so I decided to try it and it was magical. The brown sugar really brings out the coffee flavor and it is super rich Left: Horchata latte Horchata is a hit or miss for me but I tried this one &loved it. The cinnamon had the perfect balance. Most of the time I get cinnamon overload &it's gross but this one was delicious! The owner was extremely welcoming and kind! read more

Yummy food and GREAT coffee! Came here for a late brunch, it opens late enough for me to get off work and get a quick bite along with some yummy coffee. I got the chicken panini and the caramel latte. The coffee is delicious!! Strong and sweet, just the way I love it. Highly recommend this place. The people who work here seem very friendly and have a lot of regulars who love them. Also have a nice little point system if you're a regular coffee addict like myself! Definitely will be returning to do some work or just hang out with my friends. read more

TLDR: Impersonal atmosphere but great coffee and food. I like a more active approach to service but I can't rate them lower than 5 stars. If you like a coffee shop where you get your order and they leave you alone, this is your spot. It's not really a social spot and the music (soft mellow indie) gives you the right impression. The most important part... the coffee is good. I've had a few different coffees here and they've been great. Their pastries are top shelf and they even have little bits to eat. The space is clean and the wifi is fair and free. No bike parking at all but a large parking lot. It would be nice if they had more electric outlets/more convenient placement of them. read more

It's a random rainy day nearing the end of summer. Ventana offered me perfection. The hot Nutella latte created was a perfect ratio of foam and the taste of the expresso was exquisitely smooth with no bitterness. The syrup was not too sweet just a hint of goodness. No wonder Ventana has five stars. read more

Thank goodness a SOLID third wave/specialty coffee shop opened up in this neck of the woods in the 626! I've only been here twice but both times were great coffee experiences. They are a small Korean-owned shop exclusively serving Vancouver's gem of a coffee roaster: 49th Parallel Coffee. Aside from the drinks and food menu, they have 49th Parallel coffee beans, mugs, and cups available for purchase. The interior looks like it was the site of a former frozen yogurt shop but nevertheless Ventana made it look not only aesthetically pleasing, but also practical for those wanting to stay a while and get work done. Indeed my bf and I stayed an afternoon here in order to be productive and it was a welcome space with spacious tables and seating. There was fast WiFi and also an outlet conveniently located next to our table. The employees/owners are friendly and make really beautiful (and strong) coffee. So far, we've tried cortados, lattes, as well as matcha. Milk alternatives include almond and oat milk. I personally love the matcha latte which already is made sweet (but not tooooo sweet). I like the no frills interior made visually better with green plants and pops of turquoise colours. Additionally, there are lots of tables and chairs as well as stools by the merch shelf and frozen yogurt 'windows.' I do hope they stick around! The space has tons of good light and parking in this plaza isn't bad at all. Do support small businesses, avoid big name coffee shops, and give Ventana a try. read more

Delicious sandwich and great coffee! Came in here their first month and came back a few times. I had their de pollo sandwich (chicken pesto sandwich), salad, and house iced coffee. Their salad was really good, love the vinaigrette dressing that they use. I do like their house iced coffee and it's my go to. Price is similar to most coffee places, so no complaints here. I like the setup of their cafe. Lots of room and seats, very clean and bright. read more

This is by far my all-time favorite coffee in the area! Consistency in the drink quality is always there! I've tried multiple different flavored lattes on the menu and have loved all of them. In fact, I have gotten my work to order it once a week for the whole staff we love it that much! Definitely recommend to any coffee lover and they have such a friendly, amazing staff. read more

I stopped by this coffee shop on my way to work, just because I wanted something different than Starbucks and Dunkin. I am so glad I did! They have so many flavors like a Lavender Vanilla Bean Latte, strawberry matcha, tumeric ginger, sea salt dark brown sugar and the list goes on! They do offer food like paninis and bagels etc. My usual order is like an iced coffee so I ordered a Ventana iced coffee and it was so delicious! So I went back the next day and I tried the almond tangerine tea cake with my Ventana iced coffee.... GEEZUS! This cake just the best! I haven't tried something this good in a long time! Trust me! New favorite cafe spot!!!! My husband and I found this place pretty recently and we're sad that we didn't discover it earlier. It's a great place to get a bite to eat, get a cup of coffee, and sit down and chat with friends or get some studying done. Seriously this place is such a gem and you don't find a lot of cafes like this in the area. Their coffee is also good-- verified by my husband who is one of the pickiest/snobbiest (don't tell him I said that) coffee drinkers I know. We ordered the cold brew and an iced latte and he went on about how he could tell the espresso wasn't just average and how much he loved it. The sweets are also great for hitting that sweet spot and I'd love to come back for their more savory options. The owner is also super friendly and very accommodating to our different preferences and orders. Plus, they have oat milk!! Definite brownie points. read more

This is my favorite cafe to go to locally! I honestly would recommend everything on their menu! My favorites are their iced lavender matcha w/ oatmilk + iced honey lavender latte w/ oatmilk! The other drinks pictured are the iced sea salt brown sugar latte (also rly good) and the iced matcha latte! I love how creamy their lattes are and it's the perfect balance of espresso and milk. The baristas there are also super friendly and always recommend their best drinks! Go support this small business! read more

I met my sister here to study on a Saturday afternoon. Ventana Coffee is located in a shopping center, so there is ample parking. I was a little worried that it would be busy, but to my surprise, it was pretty empty. The store was converted from a yogurt shop, which is why they have a line of little mirrors (see interior photos for reference). The storefront is very clean and the decor is minimal. They also play pretty mellow music that isn't too loud or distracting. Ventana is great for studying because it has lots of seating and free wifi, but I didn't see any outlets while I was there. When I got there, there was one barista. I ordered an Iced Lavender Latte and my sister got the Thai Tea with oat milk. Both drinks were pretty good, and the price is comparable to other artisan coffee shops (~$5-6). My sister got hungry after a bit, and ordered the Panini de Pollo. It was alright, and the salad was good, but I don't think it justifies the steep price ($10.75); I'd rather go to Panera. Aside from that, I'd definitely recommend Ventana Coffee as a great place to study, read a book, or chat. I actually prefer it to Mantra Coffee in Azusa, because it isn't as crowded. Espresso: 4.25 stars Snacks: 4.5 stars Atmosphere and service: 5.0 stars Espresso: 4.25 stars They run 49th parallel here, one of the most consistently tasty beans in the business. I enjoyed my espresso--rich chocolate notes with just the right amount of acidity. Perfectly complemented my snack. Snacks: 4.5 stars I had one snack here--the banana chocolate bread. Man, they did a good job--perfectly crisped on top while maintaining a delicately moist interior. Great flavor. Whatever you get, be sure to have them toast it: it's a game changer. Atmosphere and service: 5.0 stars Chill and comfortable. Ventana opts for the classic third wave woody look, but manages to stay unhurried and unassuming--a delicate balancing act between "we have a cool look" and "this space is comfortable". This is one of my go to spots when I'm craving coffee (I'm not a big coffee drinker cause it can get me anxious lol) but this one is so good! And doesn't make me all jittery. My go to order is an horchata iced latte with oat milk... it's amazing. Also the owners are so sweet and helpful!
