I've been trying out a variety of nail salons in Summerlin since I relocated here some months ago. I can tell you this much - the GOOD ones are "few and far between". ANA of Venus is one of the better ones who grasps the concept of what a TRUE basic NAIL MANICURE constitutes! -You know, as in Filing nails; a little soaking a little cuticle remover and then trimming cuticles AND THEN starting the manicure procedure. Two other salons have been shabby in this regard - SKIPPING from mere nail filing TO starting the manicure procedure and I won't be back to them in Summerlin in this life. The $35 pedicure states it includes callus remover. However, they do not use a Heel Rasp, they merely use lotion. I came home with rough calluses and immediately applied Vaseline and covered with white cotton socks. If they weren't so far from where I lived, I'd request a refund. Clean place to get your nails done, great color selections, and well ventilated! I got a pedicure done and I brought my brother along to get a much needed mani-pedi. My pedicure was good, not amazing but a-okay as I looked more at my nails one of them is angled but not really awful, not missing spots thank goodness. My lady was okay, pretty quiet did a standard job. Could it have been better? Yes, I think with this place it depends on who you get as to whether the task will be amazing. My brother's mani-pedi came out amazing, his lady was super nice, very friendly and funny. His feet never looked better, this was his first mani pedi because "its a girl thing," but if you are going to wear sandals you need to have nice feet. She did a great job (I wish I could remember her name, but she was the only lady with super blonde hair). So like many nail salons, it depends on who you get. Will I come back? Yes I think so, unless I find a better salon who does pedicures for twenty bucks which is a deal in comparison to other places I've been. read more

This was the best experience that I and my kids have had in all of the Las Vegas nail salons we have ever visited!!They offered us drinks and sweets and made us feel very welcome.My youngest daughter is really short and so on the massage chair they put pillows behind her so she had a cushion on her back and they put lotion and a hot rag on her arms during her mani. She was in heaven! They treat you as you are vip and it is comparatively more affordable than other neighboring businesses. I used to come here a while back. Me and my mom would get our nails done and it always came out fabulous. I guess they are under new management now... called and they said they have availability right now. So me and my boyfriend showed up within 15 minutes. When we showed up everyone was already working on someone. So we waited. They got my boyfriend started with his mani after about 15 minutes. I waited about 20 minutes. Then they finally got me set up with the pedicure. Other then that annoyance, finally got my nails done with gel. It looks like a 5 year old did it. I have the polish all on my cuticles and my nail is so uneven. Absolutely terrible. Then when I was about to pay she said she charged another $10 for something we didn't ask for and I am still not clear what that charge was for. 2 mani and pedis for $110, total rip off and terrible job. He was just very rude and gave me a very ugly manicure. After a week I came back and luck Tony was there to fix my nails. Hopefully I'll be able to see Nikki again soon. I got exactly what wanted when I went there to get a gel manicure. Square nails, not cut my cuticles, and out of there in 45 mins. The girl did my gel manicure just how I wanted it pink French tips with white polka dots and fully painted ring finger with polka dots. They have not chipped and are still shiny, reasonably priced too for what I got done $40 including 2 3d bows. I will be going there again for sure. read more

Terrible experience. I came here because it was close by and my usual nail salon was closed. I made an appointment for 5:30 p.m. The guy, Tony, did my nails and they were terrible. I asked him multiple times to fix them and he said he would - but did not. I was the last customer however their hours state they don't close until 7 pm. Around 6:15, as I'm picking a color to get polished, they're rushing me to pick a color, so I settled as I felt uncomfortable at that point. As I was drying, they started turning off the lights. Tony told me I was finished drying, I paid, and left. After I got home I realized how terrible my nails looked (which was hard to notice at first seeing as though they turned the lights out on me). I called within an hour stating that I'd like them redone or a refund issued so I could go elsewhere. This was Monday night. Apparently they're closed Tuesday so I called again Wednesday asking to come in for a refund. They told me to come in. Once I got there Tony offered to fix my nails however I did not want them redone at this point. I was also crunched for time and wouldn't have been able to get them redone in that moment. I was polite and explained the situation. He argued with me stating that he would not give me a refund because I won't let him fix them?? I've never heard of this. Most salons have a 24hour guarantee - if you don't like them they can either fix or give you your money back! He said he could only give my money back if he took them off with clippers right there. I said absolutely not as my nails would've been incredibly sore and anyone would know this is not safe for nails. I told him he was unprofessional and I would never be back and he told me he doesn't care and threatened me!! I asked for the owner and he stated she wasn't there so I left and said I would be back when she was there. Something told me not to leave and less than a minute later I walked back in and him and the owner were in the front laughing and joking. I explained to her that I simply wanted my money back so I could get them redone. She too argued with me. I showed her my nails and I told her my only solution would be for her to soak them off. She told me Tony could take them off and after the way he spoke to me I told her absolutely not. I asked for HER to take them off and issue a refund and it would be settled. She agreed however while soaking them off continued to argue with my sister and I about their reputation and how they've been there for 20 years. Super uncomfortable after the disagreement was already settled. Not to mention she was not gentle with my nails and took them off with such attitude. Needless to say, I will NEVER come back and will be reporting them to the BBB. Extremely unprofessional and their work is terrible. I wouldn't recommend anyone come here and they are beyond rude. read more

Worst pedicure ever. The sign says they're open at 9, I got here at 915, and the guy comes in leisurely at 930. The chairs are ripped and not kept up. All of the nail polishes look like they're 6 years old. I should have left the minute I walked in. He rushed everything. Took 2 seconds to cut my nails, cuticles etc. The scrub was painful and speedy. I asked for my toenails to be squared and he cut one side of the nail into my skin and left the nail uneven. So now my left toe is crooked and round and my right toe is squared. He also cut my cuticles pretty bad and my skin is red around my toenails. When I asked him to fix it, he said it's broken and there's nothing to do. I'm still sitting in this pedicure chair and my toes sting. When I tried to take a picture of my toenails he started yelling and the manager came over. The manager told him "don't worry you can't make everyone happy" Don't waste your money here. read more

This review is long overdue. I stopped by this place a couple months ago. My usual "go to" spot was very busy and backed up so I came here since it was close by and I was in dire need for a mani/pedi. When I first walked in I was admiring the cool funky modern artwork. The nail salon had a "boutique" feel. Very nice. I wasn't greeted right away and felt like a moron just standing at the doorway which felt like several minutes until finally a lady greeted me. After telling her I wanted a mani/pedi she led me to a chair and started to get the water ready for my pedicure. Usually the best experience of getting a pedi is the massage chair. Well in this case the chair I was sitting in was broken. The remote didn't work and the chair was worn down. What a disappointment! The lady who did my nails was polite and did a descent job but I just felt the overall experience wasn't worth $45+tip. Is there any place in Las Vegas that charges only $25 for a mani/pedi like California? Asking for a friend. Anyway this place wasn't yay or nay. I had a lukewarm experience. If you're looking for a place that is quick and to the point then by all means please check out. Worst experience ever. No wonder I do my own nails at home now. But my friend and I just wanted to be pampered by someone else for once, plus doing your own feet is hard esp when you have knee problems lol. We had an appt for 1230 for the both of us for pedis and manis. She didn't even scrub much on the bottom of my feet and gave me not even a min massage. Then when I was done, my nail tech ran over to another customers pedicure and started doing hers! I was standing in the middle of the nail place like a deer in headlights. Then another tech comes and points to a seat to do my manicure so I sit down and wait. My friend gets finished with her pedi and gets directed to a chair to sit for her mani. We both are sitting there waiting and I look around and ALL of their techs are doing pedicures!!!!!!!! So we're waiting on them to do other people's pedicures in the middle of our appointment!!!!!! Like who does that?!! So 1 tech finally finishes and rushes over to my my friend to start on her bc she had foil on for gel to be removed. And we decided we weren't gonna wait til another tech finishes a pedicure before coming to give us our manis. They weren't even apologetic or anything and you could see our frustration once we said we no longer wanted a manicure. I gave it a 1 star only bc there wasn't anything less! read more

I would never go there again. They sent a coupon to get you there by saying if you purchase a pedicure than you get a manicure for free. However, when you go to pay, you learn that the pedicure alone is $30 and the manicure is only $10. What a scam! It wasn't the money that upset me (most salons charge $35-40 for a manicure/pedicure), it was the type of bait and switch advertising practice that they used. Maybe I am naive, but I have never been to a place where a pedicure was 3 times the price of a manicure. This was my first time there. Needless to say, it will be my last. I had a gel manicure in Venus Nails last week. I was visiting Las Vegas and needed to have my nails done for a wedding. I was lucky enough to walk in and have Nikki, the owner, do my nails. Fortunately she was free at the time, as her appointment had cancelled on her. This is 8 days later and my nails still look perfect. I couldn't ask for better service or cleaner salon. When I visit Las Vegas again I definitely will go back to this salon and hopefully Nikki. read more

This place is the best I've found in Vegas.............and I'm very picky! They do excellent work, speak English, have beautiful color choices, and the price is reasonable. They are not the cheapest in town but sometimes "you get what you pay for". Also, they are located in a good area with easy parking. The shop is relaxing and the people are warm and friendly. I highly recommend Venus Nails. Also, I like they are open on Sunday's. Oh, a word of advice to everyone, do not leave any nail shop until you are satisfied with the way your nails look. One of the worse places to get your nails done. The techs talk a good game BUT are VERY inexperienced. When you try to tell them what you want or what is going wrong, they say,"don't worry, I take care of you." They perform services that you did NOT ask for and when you protest, they keep on with the service, stating, "don't worry, I take care of you." Ridiculous!!! My NAILS LITERALLY LOOK LIKE S**T!!! Lumpiness on all ten of them, 3 broke within a week!!! I started to complain, but I was tired and just wanted to go, After 3 broke, once again I started to call and complain, but I figured what's the point!! These people know that they do crappy work!!! My arylic nails were done very thin and not even a week after having them done I bumped my finger and it broke the nail. Friday, I was a first time visitor to Venus Nails and was very much looking forward to a great experience. I'm very experienced in getting my nails done (30 Years) and have tried just about everything. My nail tech was clearly inexperienced in all faucets of nail care. Though friendly enough, she didn't speak English, barely filed my nails, didn't buff before putting on cuticle oil. After washing off, I had to tell someone else who translated that the shape was wrong, she needed to complete file work, she never buffed my nails, clearly the polish was too thick but she didn't dilute it, as you can imagine all sorts of red flags went off. Because she was a rookie, a trainer should have taken over or at least checked her work but it was not done in this case. Too bad because I did think the shop was clean and neat in appearance but the techs lack experience and supervision. I will not be returning to this salon. read more
