I just had a fantastic one hour Swedish massage by Katie. This was my first visit to Verdure Massage Spa. Yesterday, I tweeked my lower back by lifting at a bad angle. Desperate for some relief, I searched Yelp for someone with openings right away. I got right in and I was pleasantly surprised by the great experience. The place was clean and comfortable. Katie seemed to know which particularly painful areas to focus on and helped me to feel much better. I have had many massages, usually for a much higher price and this one was excellent. This place is my go to for a healing and relaxing massage! Anna was an amazing miracle worker when I had pain issues with my back and shoulders post pregnancy. It was a great relief at the time, and every time I've had issues in other places of my body I have felt much better afterwards. The quality massage I get is always worth the price! They even add in hot stones (which is usually an extra charge in other places) for free upon request. They listen when I request to have focus on specific areas of my body and they adjust their pressure whenever I tell them if it's too much or too little. Everyone has been so friendly and accommodating as well. Having this much trust knowing I'll be taken care of is priceless! read more

Very dissatisfied. The therapist barely spoke English, I asked for a deep tissue massage and was petted with the sheet over me for an hour it was really bad! The lady was older with callouses on her hands so was scraping my skin. It was very uncomfortable as she felt like she had never done a massage in her life. It was like my grandmother massaging me and that is really gross. I left very disgusted feeling? I have had a couple good massages here in the past but all the good massage therapists leave it seems and are now replaced with older therapists with no skills. The owner Anna is nice and offered to give me my money back which was a good gesture and we will see but honestly I just wanted a good massage after a long week and what I got is an elbow, a knee, a flat palm over a sheet and not once did she use her fingers? My boyfriend and I had recently received a horrible massage from an unnamed location and Verdure fixed all of our new and unwanted kinks. They are kind in the front, as well as in the room and regularly check to see how you're doing. They don't try to hold conversations with you, but make sure you are enjoying the pressure and type of massage you're receiving. This location is clean and you can't beat the quality and price! I really don't understand all the hype about this place in the reviews. I really wasn't all that impressed. They were very considerate and kind but the quality was still only so-so. I thought parts of it were a little tacky: they used towels instead of sheets, the bed and room were pretty cold, and the masseuse would leave randomly at times for no reason without saying anything (and she didn't bring anything back so it was just kinda weird...). She didn't really work on the parts of my body that needed it. I had pulled a muscle a few days ago and it doesn't feel a whole lot better. And I carry my tension in my shoulders and neck which she hardly touched at all even though she ran her fingers through that area and could feel all the knots. I left with my neck still hurting and hardly being able to turn. The best parts were the stones (which was awesome because I didn't ask for it) and the mint herb she rubbed on my back. I hate to give bad reviews, I really do, but I just didn't leave very impressed or feeling any more relaxed or "put together" which is the reason why I go to get a massage in the first place. But, alas, this is only my experience. read more

Verdure is like an addiction and my wife and I cant help but to keep coming back! We have spent much more money for fancier massages that didn't come close to verdure quality. Sure, nothing can ever be 100% perfect, but that's life, but Verdure comes close. I suffered back and shoulder pain for several years. There were days when I couldn't get up from bed or sit on a chair. Tried chiropractors, physiotherapy, pain killers etc. I used to go to corporate massage therapy places too. Nothing worked till I started visiting Verdure Folsom. Yani has been helping me with my pain for several years now. She has a knack of identifying pain points and quickly resolve them. Yani is able to intuitively identify the correct pressure and stretching routines needed for a particular day. She is an extremely intelligent and competent professional. As a result of her work, my pain has reduced considerably. I was able to start a weight training program in 2021. I can deadlift 200lbs now. Anna is the owner of the place. She is quite amazing and deals with my last minute requests patiently. Anna is very kind, has a great sense of humor and is an absolute joy to interact with. The facility is maintained very well. The spa always looks tidy and organized. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Verdure for anyone suffering from chronic pain. read more

This place is tucked away but is definitely a best best-kept secret. It is very clean inside and quiet, some of the other massage places in Folsom have a large room with many people and it can be a little bit noisy sometimes, but Verdure has small rooms so it is very peaceful and quiet! Went there today first time with hubby, yes they are good but could be better. I told the girl at front when we were waiting that I wanted a combo massage, 30 mins body and 30 mins foot and husband wanting hot stones, well 45 mins into this thing and they already told us to turn over, I noticed they weren't going to do them so I spoke and they went ahead and gave us that, the girl at front nodded when I told her this, so maybe they need to communicate with each other and knowing most of their clients are English speaking, they need to ask the clients what areas they need working on the most, massaging my scalp for 10 minutes was way too long, I'd rather have my back work on and not my scalp. My husband told the girl he needed his lower back worked on the most as he was having so much pain, nope.. these girls seems like they work like robots, they do each areas by the book, well people are not all the same, I believe to be an excellent masseuse, ask the clients where they hurt the most and work on that. I had spinal surgery in March, 2017 and my doctor suggested massage several weeks later for my tight neck muscles. I am SO GLAD I found Verdure! I have never had a bad massage here! Anna and Yani are AMAZING and have been so kind and helpful being mindful of my recovery. If you need a chair massage, they have it. Just need your neck and shoulders? No problem. This is the second time I came in for a prenatal massage and both times I was very satisfied with my visit. She was so good that my baby was moving and kicking while she found all the knots in my back and neck. Also my boyfriend came in both times with me as well and he also loved both visits. He has knots everywhere in his back and neck and she was able to get them all out plus the one that he never knew existed. They've been very sweet and have very great customer service.
