I was told at another Verizon story that this store had the new iPhone pro max when we went in the lady checking people in was very rude and said we don't have them VERY rudely when I told her they said you had them again very rudely she said who said then I finish my sentence saying the other Verizon store. She did not let me know they had the other new phones in I had to ask her. Then when I asked if the Pro max and the pro are the same she said they are the size is the only thing different I asked if she had the purple one instead of her looking up to see if she did so we don't waste our time she said yeah I might have one so we waited while we're waiting I looked at the difference and in fact the pro and the pro max are different not just the size . On Saturday I went into the store with a phone issue. They could tell me what was wrong but that it was fixed. Two hours later I had to go back with the same issue and was yelled at by an employee. I was then promised a replacement phone overnight. Week later still no phone when I asked how they could compensate me they said all they could do is give $15 credit. I then got two conflicting emails as to the status of the credit and from all indications the credit did not happen. read more

I was a customer for over 4 years with four lines and I never changed my address (in NM) and I always paid on time. So imagine my surprise when I went to the Apple Store to purchase three new iphones and got the news that I was in collections from Verizon to the tune of over $3000 for services and goods I had allegedly purchased while at my lovely rental home in Blythe, CA. Not only did they let someone else use my name and other personal data to order new lines and phones from them without bothering to contact me or check with me (on the phone I had bought from THEM), they were freaking rude about it. I had to take a day off of work because the three or four times I sat through their hold music long enough to get to a real person and eventually figure out what they had done to me wound up being about 3 1/2 hours of my life. Okay, so mistakes were made...let's move on shall we? I reported it as fraud, contacted all three credit agencies, found out there was also an account in my name at Southern California Edison (keep in mind I have not lived in CA since 1981 so this is clearly identity theft and began with Verizon), put in my police report, and called Verizon in a calmer frame of mind. I offered to purchase three iphones outright. THREE iPHONES. In return, and in consideration of them having put me through the wringer, I requested they not charge me the $115 disconnect fee for the one line I was cancelling (long story about an ungrateful teenager). I would then sign another two year contract and continue paying them over $200 a month PLUS buy THREE iPHONES. They said no they wanted their $115. I refuse, on principal, to do business with anyone this stupid. I'm with T-Mobile now and my bill went down to $150 a month even with three new phones partially financed. And the lady at the T-Mobile store didn't tell me it was an 80 minute wait to talk to a human. Verizon deserves to go out of business and with decision-making like they exhibited with me, I wouldn't be surprised. read more

Worst customer service and most expensive in the industry, you can't ever speak to a human, you go to their stores to make a payment and the stores are closed before they say they close and then they suspend your account for not making a payment when they prevented you from doing so by closing earlier than advertised! Most ppl that review a non-eating establishment are doing so to rant. thus, the average star rating will be low (as compared to if the happy customers actually took the time to post). that said, i'm a happy customer, but they only get 3. why? the gal upgrading me to the i5s asked repeatedly if i wanted a case/protection. after the second time of politely declining, I'd expect her to stop (look, i understand they're under a LOT of pressure to upsell). however, instead she told admonished me about how risky I was.....look, I know it's your job, but you'll also get to sell me a $600 phone if i break this one, so back off, please. otherwise she was super nice and sweet, but the hard sell AND unecessary commentary dropped what would have otherwise been an easy 5 star experience (in and out with iphone lickety split!) to a mediocre 3. oh well, c'est la vie~ read more

The rep was engaging and gave me save offer which was 30 percent off my plan but included a one year contract to take advantage of the offer. We walked in and were greeted at the door by lady who put our name on a waiting list. She gave us no idea how long the wait would be. As we browsed through the store we noticed that only about 10 percent of the phones on display even worked. The 4G phone display had 2 4G phones and 3 3G phones on display (huh?). One of the phones we wanted to look at wasn't even on display. It looked like it had been stolen. Not the type of place i do business with. read more

I have never had this experience at a Verizon store where the customer service rep told us to stop talking so he could say what he wanted, dismissed us numerous times, said he was not speaking to me to go over there while he talked to my sister, etc etc etc. When we did ask for a manager John told us we could talk time him but it wasn't going to make a difference and we would then be waiting a really really long time. I wish I could give a negative star for this place, poor customer service, broken promises to give us a deal on phone trade-in, the inability to understand anything your saying, getting you billing address wrong, four times in a row so that our payments were late.... might be the "fastest" network, but I feel that entitles the company to treat their customers like a pay check only. Two different people said that it wasn't possible because of the type of phone I had. Which was entirely untrue because I called Verizon and did it over the phone in a matter of 5 minutes. My experience is with Verizon prepaid. I have wasted days of my time trying to switch my old number from a contract plan to to my new prepaid plan with new phone. A chat specialist had said this could be done. After many useless calls to all of the 800 and 888 numbers I could find and hours spent on the website, I went to this store and a technician finally switched me over (which was good but bad wading through all the rigamarole). Next I wanted to upgrade my wife's prepaid phone. There was no way to upgrade her prepaid phone online so I bought a Verizon prepaid phone and went to the Verizon store to have the number changed (the online site allows you to transfer your old number over only if you come from a different carrier, and there is no phone upgrade option, just a device change option. However you already need to have the device on hand, which you can't get from Verizon without a phone number to go with it.) When I went to the store to have the phone number changed to my wife's old one, I was told it could not be done. When I tried to explain I had the same thing was done to my phone a month earlier, they were very rude and basically ignored what I said. Then I was told I could upgrade her phone online and keep the old number (not true) and then because I was obviously incompetent to do that, I should actually just call a new 800 number that I hadn't called before and get a real person. This new number had so many special offers I could not get through them and it had no 0 option to get through to a live person. If it weren't for Verizon's coverage on 4G I would try to find a different carrier. read more

My friend and I went to this store after her phone was "charging" without it being plugged in. The phone would give the signal it was charging and then it would drain and shut off. Then it would constantly try to turn on. Obviously something was wrong. After waiting 15 minutes to talk to a representative he literally sent us out the door to call their troubleshooting line because "it was a software problem". The woman at the version troubleshooting line was so helpful and my friend was on the phone with her for an hour going through various methods to get it fixed. However, during the phone conversation, the woman called the verizon store we were sitting outside of. We could hear her getting hurtfully talked to by ONE OF THEIR OWN PEOPLE in the store. Who blatantly lied that "they didn't have any batteries in their store". After another 30 minutes on the phone, and a hard reboot, my friend's phone was dying. Luckily, she brought her charger and we walked back into verizon to charge it while she was using my phone to talk to the woman on customer service. An employee plugged my friend's phone in at the store (His name is Daniel). I told Daniel the problem and that one of the people in the store talked harshly to the lovely woman over the phone. He said HE had talked to her and revised the lie to " We don't have her phone battery in the store". I told him that she bought the phone under warrantee and that it is obviously not a software issue, it was a hardware issue. The phone was defective and he should have a new one sent to her free of charge. He patronizingly said that yes it would be sent to her free of charge cause it was under warrantee. Well no duh sherlock. Then, he said, " Look Im actually needing to go to my lunch break so im going to go tell this other employee to come help you" He halfheartedly tells another employee and then just disappears ( I notice that he goes and starts cavorting with some other employees trying to help customers). My friend gets off the phone, still stressed cause nothing has been fixed, and we go up to the front desk together. I ask to see a manager because by this time it has been 2 hours and NOTHING has been accomplished. The employee (whom Daniel was talking to earlier) says that she is in the back and does not proceed to go to get her. Instead he asks what is wrong. I tell him calmly everything that happened and that I was not pleased with their service and would like to make a formal complaint. Instead this employee DEFENDS Daniel's actions but apologizes condescendingly. FINALLY, a saint of an employee (Lou) who has watched this whole exchange steps in and takes care of getting a new phone sent to her. He helped us in 10 minutes. 10 MINUTES. He was so nice and complementary to us that I didn't ask for a manager again. If anyone from Verizon reads this GIVE LOU A RAISE HE SAVED THE DAY. Also-- Lou said it wasn't a software issue at all-- IT WAS A HARDWARE ISSUE and proceeded to do exactly what I told Daniel I would like for my friend--send her a new phone under her warrantee. It is terrible customer service and I am appalled that only one employee was willing to help us after coming into the store twice. Beware of the Verizon store on Montgomery and San Mateo. Also-- We suspect they were being prejudiced against us because we are young females. They were responding to other customers with more sincerity and attention than us. read more
