This Auburn California Verizon store provided some of the worst customer service I have experienced with any retailer of any product. The store manager (Seth) is squarely to blame. We brought in our phones for upgrade. We were "out of contract." They ordered the replacement phones, Apple SEs (they were not in stock) They inappropriately processed a contract for phones we had returned and our bill was a shambles for six weeks.. The store manager (Seth) who processed the order initially (Seth) refused to return phone calls. His employees tried to cover for him with "he is a busy man" and the store is "understaffed" and blamed it on "corporate." Boy have I heard that one before in my own management experience. His (the store manager's) phone mail box was "full" and his email was disconnected. Three calls to the Verizon national customer service call center (not the store) were necessary and even they could not straighten the bill or contact the store manager (Seth) until a fourth attempt when they reported he would contact me within an hour and correct the contract. He did not call me back and never did. Another week went by. The national call center (I give them high marks in general for persistence) told me the new phones were in and after we returned from our trip I drove the 25 miles to the store ...the manager (Seth) naturally was not there and two hours later the bill (they agreed was in error) was straightened out and the new phones delivered and activated. What a horror of an experience and as I looked around I was not alone. The employees blamed the national call center people for "fouling up" the bill (which is ridiculous) and for the lack of status call backs or returned calls from the manager or anyone else at the store they blamed "corporate" for lack of staffing (likewise ridiculous). Enough of this .... Hey, if you want to wait endlessly for help visit this Auburn CA. store....If you want no status call backs visit this Auburn CA. store....otherwise go somewhere else. This Verizon store has the most awesome customer service I have every experienced with Verizon. I went to this store on black Friday because my phone of not quite a year old wasn't holding a charge. I had no idea that it was going to be my lucky day due to all the great promotions Verizon was offering. Sean was super patient with all my questions and concerns. I walked out with a new phone and $200 credit toward my phone statement and a $300 credit toward anything in the Verizon store including if I want toward my monthly bill. Sean also after looking at my monthly statement changed it so I would get more data and pay less. Well, when I went online with Verizon no one knew what to promotions I was talking about or said I didn't qualify. To make a long story short I ended going back to the store where Sean and I went in his office and he spent 45 minutes with customer service to get what promised. Even he was told I didn't qualify and he told them very politely I did and I'm looking at the promotion as we speak. Finally after all that a supervisor came on the phone where it all got fixed. Sean and his employees are all great with taking superb care of their customers. Their polite, they always have a smile and very eager to help. They are so known for the great customer that people come from Citrus Heights while I was there. Thanks Sean for being a warrior for your customers! read more

SHOUT OUT TO SHAUNA !!! THANK YOU, SHAUNA !!! I was leaving for Mexico a few weeks ago for three weeks and, of course, my phone starts dying a few days before. I got put through the paces, naturally, with Verizon online/talk (if you beg) staff only to receive a new phone under warranty and a big 'ol list of steps to go through to transfer everything over. Planning for a big trip, this was the last stress I needed. And so I tracked down my favorite VICTRA staff member, Veronica, and learned she was now a manager at the most convenient Verizon store to me, YAY! But when I went in, Veronica wasn't there. I was briefly bummed until Shauna stepped in and got me started with what I needed to do to get my replacement rolling. (This isn't something they really have to do but the store was quiet and so helped.) At a certain point, she told me what she thought the trouble was that I was experiencing. I doubted her (dumb me). I went home and got my other device per her suggestion and, of course, she was bang on about the issue and in minutes my problems were solved...at least my Verizon problems. On top of this, she guided me through the purchase of a much-upgraded phone screen protector. I've wasted more time the last couple of years on the Zagg and Best Buy teeter-totter with screen protectors. Shauna tossed her phone onto the hard floor just to demonstrate the product--PureGear. Not only am I in love with the quality of this item, but I did drop my phone in Mexico, down a couple of cement stairs, and lo and behold not even a scratch!!! Kudos PureGear and Shauna for the sale!!! When I returned with my second device that day the place was a zoo of people. I waited about 40 minutes while Shauna gave her current customers exactly the same time and attention she gave me. When she had a chance she got me started and while we waited for my phone to back up, she got started with somebody else. An excellent multitasker!!! My final advice is DON'T run into a Verizon store in the middle of nowhere like Auburn and expect ten people there to help you--like you might after making the miserable drive down to Roseville. Have a plan with a task you can sit and do or a book or whatever in case there is wait. Also, don't expect them to have the same stock of colors and phones (though with enough time they can order you what you need). Little store, middle of nowhere, do the math...also, I learned the hard way that once your phone starts acting the least bit weird (doesn't charge or whatever), DON'T procrastinate!!! It will just get worse and then you'll be all stressed out last minute like I was. AND you could miss out on your warranty replacement if that applies. I just barely made it because I didn't just stop and get it checked out and looked into when I first started having trouble. I hope this review helps and I hope you will give this location a try. Shauna was SO knowledgeable and knows her stuff!!! Plus, she has a superb manager in Veronica who I've pretty much stalked around town since I purchased my phone and pad from her because she is great! Thanks, ladies!!! Funny, I wrote a review back in October and hmmm, it is no longer there. I guess they didn't want anyone to see it. Do not go to this store (Auburn, Grass Valley Hwy)! They roll through store managers like water. We thought we had recvd great service from Amber, but this just turned into a nightmare. With current promotions, we were able to turn in our 3 phones and get 3 new phones and our bill was only to go up by $10. Might have worked, if only she had processed it correctly. I spent countless hours working with Amber (closing the store each night) and then with Joe (the then store mgr) after Amber left and it still was not fixed. I was continually told that it would all show up on the next bill. Then it wouldn't. I have all the text msgs from Joe and the store will not back up anything that they did. On top of it, they are calling me a liar because they do not have record of our phones being turned in. What a scam! Never, never trust anything anyone says at this store. When we pay off the phones, we are gone. This was the final straw with Verizon. They have horrible service and they simply do not care about their customers. I came in the store around 5:30pm and left around 9pm. That's right, I was there for about 4 hours. They had some challenges with their invoicing system and we had to redo our invoicing on all the stuff several times. My order was a bit complicated also. The reason I'm giving them 5 stars is because the customer service from Westley was fantastic. His attitude during this entire time was flawless with me, it's rare you find such good customer service at companies these days. I ended up getting everything I needed and all works great. The store in Auburn off highway 49 is being run by kids. Up selling and lying about taking money off products if we buy a certain amount. Telling me my phone and tablet cases are being overnighted when they are actually being shipped via UPS sure post. I received no tracking number on my receipt for the cases and tempered glass and they could not provide one after calling the store. They told me on my phone that it can take 2 weeks from when the order was placed to get it to me. Genuine customer service does not exist here, it's a numbers and selling game because the company pushes it so hard on them. read more

Please NEVER go to THIS Verizon store. They totally screwed me over. I had brought in a $60 screen protector for my phone and asked one of the guys if he could put it on. He assured me "yeah I could definitely do that for you". I said "cool, thanks". As he was unwrapping my brand new screen protector I asked him, "have you put many of these on?" His response was "yeah, all the time." He tried and screwed it up completely ruining my phone cover mind you this is a $60 product. Luckily my product was on a lifetime warranty but I still had to pay the shipping and handling fee. I called them back and told them that the shipping and handling fee still applied and the manager basically told me tough sh*t and they weren't responsible for anything. He told me that they are supposed to tell customers that they are not liable if anything goes wrong and I assure you he diffinitly DID NOT. The manager then told me "he had put a $10 credit on my account and I gave him my phone number to do so, then he tells me "the credit is only good if I was to purchase a brand new device". That's never going to happen. So please DO NOT go to THIS verizon store. They treat there customers like garbage and very UNFAIRLY. BEWARE!!!! Too bad there is no option for a zero star review. They don't even deserve one star. The experience I had in this store was absolutely horrible! As the previous reviewer said "Anastasia Campos is your girl" ya sure she is...if you want to pay $200 for a flip phone that you are eligible to upgrade for only 99 cents!!!! Unbelieveable! I told her I was eligible for an upgrade and she had already pulled up all my account information up on her computer. So she knew I was already eligible for an upgrade. But she told me I was absolutely NOT, and had to either pay full price in-store, or do the "Edge" program and I'll end up paying $200 for this flip phone! I went online as soon as I got home as I felt this was just wrong. And sure enough, the Verizon website had the exact phone for only 99 cents with a 2 year contract! And the full price was only $150. So not only did she swindle me into something that was completely wrong, but she also boosted the price another $50!!! So I quickly called Verizon customer service. He was extremely polite, knowledgeable and just shocked that she tried to pull this over on me. He told me to go right back to the store in the morning and have her re-do the contract, as I should only be paying 99 cents for that phone, not a penny more. He told me if she doesn't correct the issue to call them immediately while in the store and they will take care of the problem. I am literally counting the hours until I get to go back and make this right. And if she gives me any problem, Verizon is ready and willing to take over for me and make her eat this bogus contratct she tricked me into. DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH THIS STORE! It is crooked and they will take advantage of you any chance they get. $200 for a super basic flip phone? When all the while I was eligible for the same phone for under a dollar. Just unbelieveable!!! And this was all done by the store manager herself, Anastasia. I've never in my life been so taken advantage of by anyone, ever. I fully intend to take this to upper management. As she knew exactly what she was doing. Choosing commission over integrity, truth and good business practices. I know this isn't the first time she's done this. She was way too good at her fast-talking, crooked, unethical method of tricking me into thinking I wasn't eligible for an upgrade. All the while I knew it felt very wrong. And when I got home and looked online and saw it was only 99 cents on Verizon's website.....I was beyond angry, This is not over. So keep this in mind if you ever think of going to this store. You would be better off just avoiding it completely and dealing with Veizon directly . They have excellent customer service. They will stand behind me if she refuses to change the contratct. This Verizon store is terrible! When we walked in the manager greeted us and said it would be a 10 minute wait...40 minutes later it was our turn. We already had a phone, so all we wanted to do was switch the phone number from the old phone and activate the new one. They made several comments about how old the phone was, then tried pressuring me into buying a phone for my eight year old daughter. He went so far as to get merchandise off the shelf, bring it over to her, tell her how cool it was and how much she needed one. That's pretty low. Their system is so antiquated that they have to make phone calls for each and every transaction. If it takes Best Buy 10 minutes to complete a transaction, plan on it taking at least 40 at this Verizon store. They are high pressure sales people who are unfamiliar with plan information. If you're in Auburn, my suggestion is to head to Best Buy. If you want to go to a Verizon store drive to Roseville. Don't waste your time stopping at this Verizon store! read more

I do not recommend that you visit this store. The store manager failed to disclose that the LG small phone I purchased would be on the "Edge" plan and cost a total of $200. He told me it would cost $15 and I paid the requested amount. Yet, when my bill came I owed $10 a month for 19 months. Further, when I requested to speak to a regional manager to have the issue resolved, he would not provide me with a contact; instead saying he would have the regional manager call me. Of course, no one contacted me. I have always had exceptional help from the Roseville store on Douglas and recommend you go there. DO NOT buy anything from the Verizon Cellular store next to Bel Air on 49, they lied to me, and charged me some 20% or $10.00 than I did at a Verizon Company Store or online. We were on our way to Sacramento and were going to go stop by the verizon company store in Roseville, but thought I would try local.... I asked if they could give me the same price as the company store, and they said yes..... the large manager lady spoke faster than any sales person I have ever heard, we were in a hurry..... got the phone, left - next day I went online to learn some stuff on the Droid Turbo (great phone) - I saw the same phone for $70.00 less ($480.00) ! I called Verizon, and was told that IS Verizons Retail Price for this phone - Verizon Bel Air charged $550.00, $70.00 above list, THEN I noticed a $10.00 Charge for a Sim Card (No Charge with Company Verizon) - I also bought a protective case for $39.99 (Incipio Dual Pro) - List price is $29.99, and I got it for $21.98 on Amazon.... Total charged by Verizon Retailer near BelAir $644.24, Total Paid with Company Verizon $537.98 $107.00 savings - and I was not lied to.... This is the worst Verizon store. The manager barely looked up from the table when we walked in and told us that it would be a 10 minute wait. She kept making excuses as to way it was taking so long when in fact it was their own inadequacies. She didn't even bother to check in with the customers to find out what their needs were until we had been there for nearly 30 minutes. After about 45 minutes, it was finally our turn. Ours was a fairly simple transaction, canceling one phone and activating another. They were more concerned about up selling a new contract and trying to sell us unnecessary products. They were trying to entice an 8 year with an expensive watch and trying to guilt the mom into buying it for her by saying things like, "She doesn't even have a phone?" I am a victim of this store's "Black Friday" sale. There systems were down on Black Friday 2015 so they extended this sale to following weekend. I was promised $600 in rebates for the purchase of a new Samsung S6 I purchased on 11-28-2015. I have since spent countless hours at this store asking for my promised rebates. Each time being promised the money and a phone call from the manager. The manager has never called me. I've come to store at different hours but manager is never there. Called Verizon corporate and they tried to contact the store but could not get anyone to answer phone. What should have been a happy, fun experience has turned into a nightmare. Don't waste your time going to this store unless you want to be insulted and treated like your stupid. I got a plexiglass glass puregear screen protector and only a few after they put it on, moisture somehow got underneath it. I went into the store the day after I discovered this problem, and I was greeted and helped out by a woman named Anastasia. Just by looking at the way she treated the customers before her, I could tell I was going to have a hard time. I told her the problem and that I wanted to exchange it for a new one, she said "You must've took it into the shower." I told her that I did no such thing and that It was the way they applied it. She completely ignored this statement and went on to tell me "Your not supposed to take it into the shower, and If you have water on your hands and touch your phone, moisture will get underneath the screen protector. You will have to pay $40 for a new one." I told her that that was weird, because my sister (who has the same screen protector) takes her phone into the bathroom, not the shower, when she is taking a shower, and no moisture what-so-ever gets under the screen protector. She just looked at me and said "Well, your not supposed to take it into the shower." No matter how many times I told her that I did nothing of the sort, she kept insisting that I took it into the shower. After calling best buy and other Verizon stores, I found out that nothing at all (including water) should get underneath the screen protector. The other Verizon stores said that my screen protector should be replaced for free. So, with this newfound knowledge, I went back to the store the very next day. I was shocked when Anastasia stopped helping the customer she was helping and walked from behind the counter to confront me. She gave me this glare and said "Why are you back again? Is there another problem?" I was shocked when she said this. I told her how I had done research on all of this, and that nothing should get under the screen and they should replace it. She gave me a look that said "your stupid" and to my surprise she said "you said you took it into the shower, and your not supposed to take it into the shower. Your problem has nothing to do with us. If you want, you can buy a new one." I told her once again that I never took it into the shower. I said that all of the other Verizon stores say that you should replace it for me. She gave this smug smile and said "We are a 4g Verizon store. Those other stores have no idea what they are talking about, and you can tell that in the reviews they get. We are working on trying to fix our other stores." I saw that I was going to get nowhere with her and was about to leave when I saw that the customer that she was supposed to be helping, was the same man she helped before me the previous day. I walked up to him and asked him why he was here again and was shocked when he said that the previous day Anastasia actually kept his drivers license. After talking to him for a while, I left the store. Two days later I called the store again and Anastasia picked up the phone. I asked to talk to the manager and she said no. After arguing with her for a little while, I hung up. This isn't the only problem I've had with this store, but this is defiantly the worse experience I've had yet. Not only is that store bad, but all 4g Verizon stores I've been to I've had a bad experience. I lost all my text messages and after trying everything to restore, brought phone to Verizon. I was assisted by a very nice salesman named Joe. Joe tried everything to get back my important messages and was relentless in his troubleshooting techniques. After over an hour, including restoring time, I walked out with all my messages intact. Joe is the best!!!!! He made no money for the store, just took concern to help, period!!! He is my new hero. I would highly recommend this store. While waiting, another senior came in and needed help. The manager walked the man through moving pictures and took his time to explain the how to's as well. Would give zero stars if i could. Where to begin? Bought phone in march 2016, after high pressure salesman seth sanders and a younger, black-haired kid in his teens or early 20s wanted me to buy insurance. After we told them 3, 4, 5 times no, i can only afford $75/month, seth finally agreed that my monthly bill be not more than $75. I also have written contract that my line access fee is $20. Fast forward 5 months. All of a sudden, my access fee jumps to $40, my bill to $94. After talking to assistant manager, chris, 3-5 times, being assured he would call us, which never happened, due to supposedly being too busy, customers, etc., and also sean, store manager, who told me on 9/1/6 he would call me that afternoon, i am still waiting for the call that apparently will never come. I am wanting resolution and am considering the police and/or local news, as i will consult with my journalist friend. I will tell all my friends, acquaintances, perhaps even strangers, to avoid this store. After reading other reviews and research, turns out this store is not verizon and has scammed many others. Went here the other day at about 3pm. There were two employees, one was helping a customer sign up for a new phone (a process which takes @45 minutes), the other was at his station checking in inventory, & one other customer was waiting nearby. I stood in front of him, thinking he would acknowledge me, but he didn't. Finally, I said, are you available? He then said there was someone else in front of me & he decided to finally help them. Of course, that person also needed a new phone. I stood there waiting for about another 20 minutes, all the while listening to the female employee talk about her personal life & having concert tickets, and how the store equipment keeps breaking, etc. She also told the customer the insurance plan would get her a new phone. I said, "or a refurbished one" (as I have received). The employee said, well, mine was a new one. I left. Zero concept of customer service read more

Worst service ever!!! My daughter went in to upgrade her Iphone 4S to the new Iphone6 and we were told our bil would only go up $20 per month. The new phone arrived but because some flaw in the plan and the phone already being activated they could not give us this phone. They instead gave her the 164GB phone and told us our bill would still only be $20 more per month. This was a bold faced lie and Joshua who was a store manager promised he would provide us a print out of our new billing statement and because of the difficulty we had (mind you this is over a period of 4-5 days) he would also provide 1 more gig of data. Another bold faced lie! Our bill is now $40 more per month and she has already gone over her 2 Gigs of data in less than 2 weeks. I am going to Consumer Affairs and BBB because we were lied to about our bill, about the phone and data. That's the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life.
