I went into this store after spending an hour on the phone with customer service and they could not help me so I was told to go into a store for help getting pictures off an old phone. I went into Verizon in University Place. I explained my situation. They said just sign in with WiFi and you can get your pictures. Well that would not work so the employee informed me there would be a $30 charge to help me any further. WHAT? I'm a 25 year Verizon customer and you want to charge me for customer service? BEWARE of the Verizon store in University Place, Washington -- especially dealing with Tony, the store manager! We left AT&T during Verizon's Memorial Day weekend promotion and were promised the world: four iPhone 16s, a 3-year contract at $120/month, and waived activation fees. That was the hook. The reality? A bait-and-switch nightmare. Just two weeks in, we received a $520 bill--not the $120 we agreed to. When we returned to the store, they said those were activation fees and that if we paid it now, our next bill would be $0. Not only was that a lie, but we then received another bill for $358 shortly after. To make matters worse, Verizon disconnected our service, despite us informing them we'd be visiting the store to resolve the issue. When we got there, Tony was "not in," and no one else could help us. They refused to take accountability and showed zero customer care. We were also promised a copy of our contract via email -- it never came. Without it, we lost our window to rescind the agreement in 3 days. From June to July, we've paid nearly $1,000, and still feel completely deceived and trapped in a contract we never fully received. This is nothing short of dishonest business. Recently my husbands phone began to fail while in Payson Az.. I called Verizon and ordered him a new phone over the phone. The young woman was wonderful and quickly possessed the purchase and quickly found that the TCC Verizon Payson store had the phone in stock and could be picked up quickly. My husband went to the store to get the phone, and was met by a friendly sales person, until the manager realized it was just a pick up. He then became rude and uncooperative, refusing to help my husband set up the new phone, or even to allow him to purchase accessories!.. The manager became belligerent and even ruder! TCC advertises a code of ethics, but fails miserably to enforce them! I will be contacting Verizon about this incident and Warning everyone to go to a city to a corporate store and to not go to a TCC Verizon store.. this manager needs to ne fired,! read more

My Wife and I just got a couple new phones from here a few days ago. In summary, I would highly recommend going to an actual Verizon store. The staff acted knowledgeable, but were not able to provide real answers to many of my questions. We stuck in there and after 3.5 hours we left with a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and IPhone 6s. The issues I had: Could not price match phone prices listed on Verizon website. I had the website up and showed them. Was provided with a $200 credit for a phone I traded in. Was then told that I had to use it all that same day, but they did not have any accessories that went with my phone. Was told to just buy stuff and then I can return it if I wanted to later. They were unable to transfer data off my old phone. I was told they were having issues keeping a connection with the Starbuck's Wi-Fi next door that they needed to use since they didn't have access to the actual Wi-Fi in their store. Had to go back the next day with a flash drive to get the data off my old phone (another 30 - 45 minutes). Had a employer discount that they could not honor. I was told that even at a cooperate store it would take 2 -3 bill cycle before it could be applied. I went to an actual Verizon store the next day; they entered my information and discount has already been applied on my first bill which came today. Was told that I would get $100 port-in credit for each of the lines transferred over, but they could not provide anything in writing to confirm and they are not appearing on my account as of yet. The guys there assured me that "it just happens automatically" I guess only time will tell on that one. Lastly, my account was set up under my first and middle name, not sure how that happened as they had my drivers license in front of them the whole time and all of the in-store paperwork was correct. Still working on getting that fixed... I closed on my last house quicker than this and the process was a lot more transparent. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Cheryl, store manager, last week and thank goodness. I dropped and broke my phone not long ago and was expecting a very important call. Since the screen would not work properly I couldn't answer the call. I had insurance and she helped me file my claim and activated my backup so I could at least use it until I got my replacement. Today, I went to see Cheryl about an upgrade and could not be happier to have worked her. She explained the difference between the two phones I was interested and was very thorough and knowledgeable about both phones. She was able to show me the best case for it and the glass screen protector. I am extremely happy with my new phone, case, glass protector and great customer service I received. We WALKED OUT OF THIS STORE with initial intention of purchasing 3 new iPhone 6plus! The sales woman lacked confidence in plan knowledge and when we mentioned ATT special new line offers, she suddenly "found" addl discounts, but with very little effort or enthusiasm. Terrible customer service. I Went in with a less than two month old brand new iPhone X that freezes ( that I purchased from their store) and they were "unable to help me" they told me to call customer service. We tried to exchange my sons older iPhone 6x and she didn't ask a single question about where we wanted it sent to. After leaving the store I was able to get everything done in about 5 minutes on a phone call with the Tacoma mall Verizon. I will not go back there again. Stopped by yesterday to ask about service in Vancouver, B.C. While the salesperson seemed friendly and helpful, I later discovered that she had given me incorrect information in an attempt to convince me to upgrade my plan. Not satisfied with her answer, I dropped by the James Center/19th Street store (another authorized retailer) today, asked about service in Vancouver, and instead of giving me some song and dance about upgrading to avoid additional charges and cancelling after my trip, the salesperson wisely referred me to customer service and called the number for me. After a few moments speaking to a very helpful customer service rep. named Annie, I had my answer. My phone will work in B.C. without incurring additional charges (I have unltd. talk/text and 5 gbs of data per month). Yay! Now I can enjoy my weekend in Vancouver without worrying about roaming charges, etc. Moral of the story: If it doesn't sound right, ask someone else. I came here because I was having issues with my phone. I had the displeasure of being helped (for lack of better words) by the store manager, Cheryl. First, I had to wait while she finished watching a video on her phone. Then she told me she can't fix my phone and I have to upgrade. I have been holding out because I want the next iphone that comes out next month. She gave me options and told me they do not do contracts at that store I have to go somewhere else. Device payments will increased bill $20+/month.. She was short with me and rude. After leaving I went to another location that fixed my issue and explained that I can do a contract when I am ready because it fits my needs better. My partner and I went in to see what kind of deals Verizon could give us in services and such having been very dissatisfied with T-Mobile. At the end of our visit we were walking out with new iPhone's and Verizon service. Why did this happen, simply put Andrew D., the store manager. He was charming, informative, professional and highly versed in the mobile ways. He gave us comparison's of services, phones, and projection's of cost's compared with our previous service. When we decide we wanted the service and new phones, we were both amazed at his multitasking and professional competence. He downloaded our information out of our old phones practically simultaneously, all the while keeping a informative and friendly conversation with us. We could believe how quickly this went compared to our two previous services (T-Mobile and AT&T). AND almost more important, with terrible connectivity with our phone with our two previous services (i.e. dropped call constantly), our signal is now stronger the we ever have had and problems with call connections read more

I've been a Verizon Customer for the past 10 years while living in Tacoma area and I found there was this new store in University Place when a mechanical issue came about with my newly purchased HTC 1. Arrived at the store during slower business hours and had a very cold welcome and interaction from the start. Felt like I was inconveniencing the younger female staff that was "providing me customer service" the entire time while I was inferring about the mechanical issues I was having with my phone. Received very vague answers without any compassion and left feeling doubtful about Verizon and the representatives they have serving their company. I always respect and value good customer service and usually had great customer services at other Verizon Branches. I will honesty never go back due to this Branch after this interaction, which is sad since it serves a great community. read more

I was switching from Tmobile to verizon and went to this store, as they had a deal posted on the window on paying off the tmobile phones and purchasing verizon phones. I told the sales associate that my daughters Iphone screen was cracked and he said it was ok, they would still pay off the balance due from Tmobile. So of course I went ahead and made the switch. Big mistake through these guys. Very unknowledgable. Verizon would not give me credit and said to reach out to the store. So I did, and I talked to the manager Andrew. He looked into and said that the phone didnt qualify because of the cracked screen. Of course it was passed to date to return the phones. I was not happy. I was out 500.00. I had to pay off Tmobile myself. I told the manager that this is not my fault, his sales associate did not either know the rules of the program, or wanted the sale. He said the only thing to do would to have the sales associate pay out of his pocket. So I said ok, then he can, because this is not ok. He called back about 10 minutes later and said the company would give me my money back. Great I thought. Well, this was about 5 months ago. I have got nothing but the run around with this manager and company. Finally fed up, I called the coporate office this morning. They said they are not liable and he shows nowhere that I would get any money back. I am beyond upset. Not to mention the last 3 weeks Ive been calling the manager and he wont call me back. So now, I will go into the store and have him call someone in front of me. I want answers. Seems Ive been lied to for months. Also there is a guy that answers the phone, I didnt catch his name, but hes rude. I tell him to please have Andrew call me, and all he says is ok. He doesnt even know who I am, how would he tell Andrew anything. Please do not go into this store. They have no idea what they are doing or talking about. Look at the previous reviews, I know how they feel. I cannot belive Verizon would allow these people to be authorized dealers. read more
