Had a fabulous experience here this evening. I walked in with very little time, needed to open a corporate account and get an out of state phone number. Abel was amazing and helped me with what little information I had, worked with me through it it all and set it up where I can come in tomorrow and grab the phone (had to leave before everything was complete). I am handicapped and live around the corner I wanted to see about getting a phone fixed and I was sold a $700 phone and not given any other options or upgrades that I was due. If you're looking for a bunch of rude kids and a terrible and; unhelpful and rude manager this is a place for you. After 17 years with buys it Verizon it looks like you could expect more. My family and I are canceling our accounts and moving to a competitor. Went in to get the Samsung 5 and asked for the white color was told that was not in stock. So I said give me what you have and they brought out two white Samsung 5 phones, They told another lady the same . Well for two phones the cost was dollar hundred and would get $100 if I sold them the used i-phone and also would get two coupons for $ 50. That evens out the cost. The Samsung -5 is much bigger,lighter , faster and waterproof. The service was quick and was able to park right at their front door, With the two phone deal you get all the accessories free, free screen protector, free cover, free car and wall chargers , cable for data transfer and screen cleaner. Just for example the protective case was selling at $40. Impressive deal camera photo of this phone is awesome. I just wanna warn people to be careful when going in here. Yes, the employees are ignorant... but what's worse? They are dishonest and will try to charge you as much as you let them. I recommend calling Verizon or using live chat on the Verizon website to ask about Verizon's pricing and options in order to educate yourself so you don't get majorly ripped off. These guys do NOT want to give the best deal for you or save you money. They just want to charge you as much as possible. Today I saw people getting ripped off left and right. I seemed to understand Verizon's pricing options better than the employees and I tried to explain things to people and save them money, but the employees got really annoyed. LOL! Most people walk out of this place getting majorly ripped off. I bought a phone today on the Edge plan, and he tried to charge me $200 dollars for the phone! For reference, the phone was $200 out of pocket with a 2yr contract, and $0 down with edge. That's right. He made up a $200 charge. Someone less knowledgeable would have been swindled out of $200 for nothing. There is no way he could have been confused about this because ALL phones on the edge plan are $0 down. All of them. He was just blatantly trying to charge me an extra $200 for nothing. Seriously, unless you don't care about your money, do your research, chat with Verizon online or over the phone, and learn the ins and outs of their plans and pricing BEFORE you go in here to buy a phone. And if you're timid, just buy your phone on the website and have it shipped, because if you go in these guys will lie to you and try to rip you off, and if you don't have the knowledge and tenacity to correct them and make them do what they're supposed to, you will get ripped off. read more

I don't know why every Verizon wireless stores I've gone to does this but they always put the protection plan on even though I requested not to have it specifically. Manager, don't bother replying to this review. I took care of it already over the phone. Such $h177y customer service. I'm going back to TMobile once my contract is up. There's not much difference in service anymore to be honest and it's 50% off for vets. Verizon was good before back in the days but after experiencing these type of sales tactics in my last 2 or 3 visits, I'm done with Verizon. I have been to many Verizon stores and I have never been treated so horribly as I did buy the manager José from this location. Besides being rude he also lied to me and was forcing me to do something on my account that I didn't need to do. Verizon needs to do something about this poor service. I have always been treated with respect from Verizon it was horrible so I called customer service and they were awesome and took care of me right away. I know they are encouraged to sell accessories but lying straight faced to customers is not right. JASON IS A VERY RUDE REP. Never have I met someone so rude in my life. So I bought the iPhone X and told him I didn't want a case because it was on amazon for cheaper and he kept saying that their quality sucks and I was like okay. Like he was a very pushy sales rep and you can tell he got mad when I refused to buy the case . I had to say "no" a multitude of times. Next when I tried activating my phone I was going to pay $300 on my iPhone for the down payment and then he wrongfully charged my card and said that something was wrong with the system and I couldn't pay down payment for the phone and I would have to come next month to pay it . And I said that wasn't my plan and he's like " no big deal" it's the same price anyways. And I'm like in my head " sir I know it's the damn price but that means I have to come to the verizon store to make a down payment when you could have just clicked the right button the first time " Next when I asked him if it was worth getting a new iPhone X or waiting till September he said it was gonna be the same price. Literally while I was sitting down and after paying for it, the representative next to me told someone, "you should just wait till sept" Lastly if I pay $100 including tax and for an activation fee, shouldn't it be activated in the store yet he just gave me the phone and was like "here you go " and left. This place, ugh! I hate having to deal with the shitty cell phones they pawn at this place, but when I have to, going into the store is horrible. I recently went in, and now I guess they have a customer check-in kiosk where someone checks you in by name, and then you wait for them to call you. So I went in here with my mom and checked in and some meathead that works there tries to read the script on the tattoo on my arm, loudly and rudely, and then proceeds to ask me duhh what does that mean. Ugh leave me alone. Turns out this guy is the person who waits on us the rest of the time there. So we exchange attitude filled convo back and forth until I get a new phone. He helped load the phone (I guess Blackberries need loading etc), but didnt want to waste his time helping with the other loading process and passed it off to me giving me a quick rundown of the directions. Um ok?! So I waited around for the phone to do something that apparently he claimed would happen in 5 minutes or less. A couple hours later the phone actually did what he claimed it would, though not sparing me confusion and irritation. I would stay away from this store. I brought in my new I watch to activate. I wanted a couple of chargers and protected covering. They tried selling me a stand at $100, even brought the manager over to attend to sell it to me. After estate get I'm not interested, I just wanted the basic charger, was told they didn't have any in stock. There seems to be a big push to sell things you don't need. In terms of the protected screen, They applied it poorly so I took it back the next day. The girl I spoke to wanted to argue with me that they only apply it as a courtesy. Really, why was I not told this before I bought it? The manager did replace it but came out to explain that the bubbles would go away in 24 hours. Nope. Just stay away from this store. My Mom and I had been Sprint customers. We had been totally duped into signing up with them. What was supposed to be a $160/month bill was constantly $200+. So we needed a change. Thank you Baby Jesus for Kyle!! He is the Verizon GOD! He not only helped us get out of our Sprint situation (by making numerous phone calls to them which was NOT easy), but then he also set us up with brand new iPhone 7's and a plan that was perfect for us for the price we were looking for. He even downloaded my Mom's precious 'Dice Game with Ellen' on her new phone so that she was all set. That's great customer service! Let's work on some customer service skills, Verizon. The girl that helped us, Rachel, was okay at first. Our story was super complicated and I'm sure by the fourth sentence, reps started tuning us out, including her. She didn't quite understand the situation and kept getting defensive. And by defensive, I mean plain rude. She kept arguing with us and finally, after going back and forth for about 5 minutes, we stated the first sentence "two accounts were somehow created," again and she said "well, you should have said that in the first place." Um, we did. I'm sorry you weren't paying attention or you got lost. Yes, it was complex but as an associate, you should be able to follow. It was quite simple if you understood the mess that had been created. Only 2 of 7 Verizon associates understood the story. That's less than 30%!! Get it together, Verizon! Hire better quality associates! Yelp, please create an option for zero stars. This place is undeserving of even one. read more

Situation: My dad needs this phone for business calls and he has conferences with customers all over the world. Thus, it's very important for him to have a phone that works 24/7. We arrived at the store and find out that there is a new "policy": we need to make an appointment (as opposed to a walk in). So we made an appointment for the next morning. We asked why an appointment was necessary. Do people who want a new phone need to make an appointment? The answer was: No, people who wish to purchase a new phone do not need an appointment, but customers who need service need to make an appointment. The reason they put this policy in place was as a "convenience" to customers so that instead of waiting in the store for 45 minutes to get service as a walk-in customer, they wanted us to have an appointment so that we wouldn't have to wait in the store. My dad then asked: Well, what if I need to make important calls that could cost me millions of dollars? The response: Well, if you were expecting a big million-dollar call, then usually people have a back up phone. This tells me several things: 1) If you are purchasing a phone, they will roll out the red carpet. If you need help with your phone, then you're put at the end of the line. Hand them your money and you have all the attention in the world. 2) If i had the option of walking -in and waiting 45 minutes to get my phone fixed vs waiting 12+ hours until my appointment to get my phone fixed, I would wait 45 minutes as a walk-in. 3) By replying the way that the rep did to my dad regarding the "big-call" ; he's basically implying that its the customers fault for not having an extra phone (not everyone has an extra phone). AND THE CUSTOMER IS NEVER WRONG. 4) In addition to #3. Verizon has little regard to what people need from their phones. My dad relies on a phone powered by Verizon to make calls and make an income. THE INCOME THAT HE NEEDS TO PAY FOR THE SERVICE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! I'm not saying that the store is bad. I'm saying that their policy is HORRENDOUS. It needs to be fixed, and fast. read more

This 5 star review is for Ashante, went in with my cousin to get a hot spot for her camping trip the following weekend. We received such amazing customer service from him. Explained everything thoroughly and even repeated or took his time to break down something we didn't understand. So it was pretty frustrating when a colleague of his by the name of Kyle, was very rude and kept over shadowing him and contradicting what he was trying to quote my cousin. It was obvious Ashante was trying to get us a great deal and Kyle would keep interrupting him and continuing to question him. Came in for an upgrade thinking I knew exactly what I wanted and boy was I WRONG!!! Let me just start by the fact that it's so hard to find a business that is all in sync when it comes to customer service. Every time I come into this store everyone is so friendly and eager to help. The rep was so kind and helpful he assisted me in saving a good amount of $$$ on my monthly bill since obviously I was not in the right contract. In addition to that I got that new Edge deal with my upgrade so I didn't have to pay an arm and leg for my new phone. Can you say Awesome??? I really didn't believe it would be worth it at first, but I get phones so often it really worked best for me. To put a cherry on top the store manager Dion was walking by and also answered some questions I had on the Edge program which was nice of him considering most managers avoid customers now a days. My family and I went to this store today to upgrade our phones. We never encountered a more unpleasant and unwelcoming employee as Kyle G. He was very arrogant and made us feel that we are not wanted in that store. Very reluctant to assist us since we do not have an appointment. It is just short of shooing us away. We decided to go to another store, the one in Placentia on Rose Dr, which is smaller in size but the service is a million times better. We will never go back to the Brea store ever. I let him know I've been with Verizon for over 9 years and I am aware of what to do and how to load my information to my new phone. My wife and I went to this Verizon Wireless store today to upgrade a phone and get another phone for free, capitalizing on a BOGO promotion. JAWAN waked us through the whole process and was so helpful. Even some of the sales pitches he had to give, he was not pushy at all and even apologized that he had to at least mention them. I love Verizon, but the service at this store is NOT what Verizon is all about. The employees has no sense of what customer service is. I was assisted by Sergio Davila. Besides not going to this store, don't get let this guy assist you. I came in wanting to open a new account and purchase a new phone, Samsung S8+ in black. While he was processing my information, he then tells me the phone I wanted isn't in stock and tries to sell me another phone in a different color. I kindly told him I didn't want nothing else, but the one I requested. His response: "You're getting a case already, so it won't matter. It's gonna cover the phone." First of all, why would you say that to a customer? Very unprofessional. And secondly, why are you trying to persuade me to get a different phone when you know that's not what I want and won't be 100% satisfied. I then ask him if there's another store that has it, he was quick to answer and said all locations are out of stock in the black, but only Koreatown has some on the floor. Having no choice, he says I have to pre-order and the phone will be shipped to their store. After being there now for two hours, I didn't care anymore and just wanted to leave. So I agreed. He told me it would take 2 days for the delivery then changed it to 4 days due to the Holiday. He then offered me free accessories, later to find out he charged me for those, rounding my bill to $200+ instead of 60+, but didn't realized till after I left the store. The next day, I went to the Fullerton location off of Orangethorpe just to double check if they had any on floor and they had two!! This guy Sergio lied just so he can make a sale off of me! I tried to cancel my order at this location (Brea), but they said it was already in transit, but once the phone arrives at the Brea store, I can return it and get my refund. So I bought two phones at the Fullerton store which cost me $130 (sales tax only), when Brea charged me $200+ for just ONE PHONE!!!! ..but again, it was because he charged the accessories that he said he was going to give to me for FREE. Days later, Tuesday is when the phone was suppose to arrive that Sergio ordered. I didn't hear from him. So I gave another day, nothing. Later I get a email from FEDEX that he input the wrong address of his store and the shipment got RESENT BACK to the warehouse! I called Sergio asking him what's the update on the phone, He didn't even know what I was talking about. If I never called him, there would've been no followup on my order, yet getting my refund back. This guy then tells me to go to the Fullerton store and purchase a phone there and then ask for a refund. But why spend MORE MONEY and purchase another phone then return it? I'm just getting the refund of that phone that I just bought and not the refund of the phone I bought from Sergio. It's a complete mess. I'm not even sure if he even know what he's talking about. The Fullerton store called him and even got frustrated with him because they were questioning him why would I spend more money when I'm trying to get money back. Today is now Friday, exactly a week since I made this order..and STILL no refund. If it wasn't for Fullerton having the phones, I would still have no phone. I've been talking to customer service of Verizon and they've been helping me resolve this issue. Already filed a complaint. Verizon is a great company, THIS STORE and their employees just brings no justice on Verizon's true service. If you guys want good service, I HIGHLY suggest going the next city down to Fullerton. Ask for Ruby or Ricardo. They are amazing and will actually spend time with you and listen to what you want or need rather rushing you to get your money so they can make a sale. read more

I've had mixed experiences at this particular Verizon store and today my experience was great. I made an appointment which I strongly suggest and saw Chris Huerta. Chris was happy, fully of energy and quickly got to the root of my problem. Chris walked me through my phone transfer steps and made sure I was confident in setting up any other minor settings when I got home. I was in and out of the store in 15-20 minuets. Be warned. In May 2017, my wife and I visited this store to upgrade her phone. The sales rep also offered a "free" Hum device for her car. When we asked questions to be sure there was no cost, he said it was a free promotion because the device was new and Verizon wanted to get people using it. He said the cost of the device and a setup fee would be refunded on a future bill. Flash forward to late August. Not only were there no refunds, but Verizon was charging a $10/month line fee on the device. When we went to the store to seek a refund, the manager denied that anyone ever said the device was free. Although he offered to reimburse $70 for the setup fee and first few monthly charges, he said he couldn't cancel the rest of the two-year contract or refund the cost of the device itself because we hadn't requested a refund within the first 14 days. Of course we hadn't - because we were told it was absolutely free. And lest you think we misunderstood the salesman somehow, I found similar complaints about bogus "free" Hum promotions VerizonWireless.com customer service forums. I also just posted this on a Facebook community page and lots of people are commenting that the same thing happened to them. After taking our complaints up the Verizon food chain, we received a partial refund ($70) and cancellation of the two-year contract, but the Brea store never refunded the cost of the device itself (about $40 with taxes), despite being asked to do so by Verizon customer service. So, be wary of any offers that sound too good to be true. Or videotape everything. read more

First of all I would just like to state that the customer service that helped me out were not equipped with the right kind of knowledge to be doing their job correctly. I had gone in requesting a blank SIM card so my dad in another state could port over our numbers from a different carrier. Instead of trying to help / just giving me the SIM card which was already received by 3/4ths of the family (I was the last one), they REFUSED to help. Ken was the person who initially "helped", and couldn't do anything, he almost immediately had to call over his Manager, Gabby, which was less than equally helpful because I had to call my dad who had an order number and the proper information for me to receive a SIM, and she argued with him about it. After leaving the establishment following that worse than worse experience with Gabby, I drove 10 minutes away to the Verizon store on State College, and I simply walked in, asked for a SIM card, and the very nice gentleman working (didn't catch a name, but I assume everyone from that store has the proper knowledge and training to work at a Verizon store) gave me one right away. The whole process at the new store legitimately took less than 2 minutes, and I burnt almost 30-45 at the Imperial store all for a terrible encounter with the rude manager Gabby. Might I add I planned on purchasing a new iPhone due to the switch in carriers, so the Imperial store has Gabby to thank for the lost commission! Although Verizon is at fault for this for hiring such a clueless and belligerent manager, if you do still support them I would recommend making the drive to the State College store ( 503 N State College Blvd Suite C, Fullerton, CA 92831) to experience proper customer service! read more

Awful customer service there today. They sold me a faulty product over a year ago, have replaced the phone once and the battery twice. It is a faulty product. A smart phone that cannot connect to the internet without the phone dying. The representative said "I didn't personally sell you the phone" and "nothing I can do". Terrible customer service. Only solution they offered was for me to sign up for another year and get an upgrade or buy another phone! More money out of my pocket because they sold me a faulty product. Contract ends October. First time, they said to call some type of service to clear it out. Which I did, and they said, its cleared and fixed. Second visit, same problem was there again! Starting off with Chris is the best. I am a business owner and had a specific and urgent need and Chris made it happen. When I say that I mean he literally went above and beyond for me and my restaurant. And he was super nice and easy to communicate with. He found what I needed, ordered it, and I was able to pick it up the next day. I hate to be a drag but the Verizon store in Whittier gave me the complete run around for almost a month so I gave up on them and called this location. This location for verizon uses scare tactics and outright lies. In the last few months they not presented accurate information regarding my plan, and "lost" paperwork relating to a promotion, then refusing to rectify the situation. The manager will defend her team even when she knows they made a mistake and claims you have to use to call center for everything, when called the call center instructs me to go talk to them again.
