Pay specific attention: This is not a Verizon store, it's a Verizon Authorized Retailer. That means a lot, because these folks aren't the ones who you have a Verizon account with, they're just some goofs who put up a storefront and pay Verizon for the label. Case in point. I was switching my son's phone over to a Pixel 3 that I bought directly from Google. His old phone had the wrong sized SIM card for the P3, so I dropped by this store to pick up a new one. Strike 1: The guy, I kid you not, pulled out a coffee cup with a bunch of pencils and other desk junk in it. Took all that stuff out and in the bottom of the cup were a bunch of SIM cards, just rattling around in there under the junk and pencil tips. He pulled out four or so because he wasn't sure which one would be the right one for our connection. After about five minutes of guessing he finally got something. Strike 2: I had said I just needed the card, that I could do the activation from my home. They wanted to charge me $30 for the nasty SIM they fished up and to make the activation phone call themselves. I told them that I was a decades-long customer and currently paid over $200 a month for service, and I expected they could wave this cost. They wouldn't. I told them to take that nasty card back and restore the phone to it's original state. Of course they couldn't because they'd already gone too far in the initialization, but that really wasn't an issue for me. I left. Strike 3: I drove 10 minutes up the road to the Verizon store in Westgate (Campbell Ave and Saratoga.) After waiting for 10 minutes for a representative I asked for a new SIM card for the phone. A minute later I was walking out of the store with a Brand-New SIM card still in the packaging. They never mentioned any charge for this. This is the difference between going to a "Verizon Authorized Retailer" and an actual Verizon store. Avoid this store like the plague. read more

Very belated review - So a couple of months ago I was helped by a customer service rep that provided the most excellent customer service I've ever seen. Didn't get her name but she was latina and was wearing a bunch of 49er gear. While she was helping me purchase a new phone she was helping a couple who only spoke Spanish. I could tell they were having a hard time because the gentleman had forgot his password or something like that. At the same time a man with special needs came in and she was able to take care of him too. She assisted all three of us without breaking a sweat. A+ work. Hope ya'll give her a raise. read more

This place is a scam. They tricked us into a 2 year contact saying we were getting a free laptop and we were not. They said we can cancel at any time and the lady just lied so we would sign the paperwork. Then they put a screen protector on my phone and it fell off within one day it wasn't even stuck correctly. I went back to get help and they wouldn't give me any help at all everything is final sale and the guy behind the counter was extremely rude. Had a nice chat with an employee about how they push their employees to sell these scams to clients and get upset if they don't make the sales. The staff basically has to lie to their customers to make the sales the management expects. I went to another Verizon store and the district manager was there and offered to help me since I've been treated so poorly. After a whole day of excuses this location refused to take responsibility for lying to me and then charging me an additional $70 when I return to my phone. Verizon itself is going to credit back my account the $35 restocking fee for returning my phone and getting a new one from a real dealer instead of these scammers. No one could believe how unprofessional they were and really shocked they're still in business. Obviously this business owner doesn't realize that treating your customers poorly and scamming them for money does not increase your profits. WOW   0 STARS. Do not go to this place, these people are a scam. Austin Deleon, the manager, is a sneaky fellow, he told me that I would have to put down a down payment for my brand new iPhone, which I thought...... As time went by, recently, I got another charge, which I thought the 245 dollars I put down was towards the down payment for my Iphone7, it wasn't. He charged me 245 towards my credit card not for the phone, but for the phone case and glass protection that HE THREW IN, saying that it was included with the purchase of a brand new iPhone. I even double checked, asking its for free, and he said yeah choose whichever you want.  He told me to choose ANY phone case I WANTED, so I did what anyone would do, get a nice one. This is very upsetting, he was also going to throw in a battery storage, which I would have been charged even more! Luckily, he decided not too, saying "oh since, you got a nice case, I cannot include the battery".  I've been tricked. Smart and sneaky move. I wish I could give 0-stars! I have not had an issue with this store until I ordered an iPhone 15 through them on release day. My phone has still not shipped and is past the delivery date I was promised but that is not even my biggest issue. I have tried to call the store over 15 times since Friday and every time it is automatically directed to the Verizon call center not to the store. I have to speak to a rep and then they will try to call to connect me but they can never seen to get through. I finally got through to someone in the store on Saturday afternoon and he said he would have so call someone to figure out why my phone has not yet shipped and that he would call me back that day. I did not receive a call back ever so I called back today, Monday afternoon and had to call three times before getting through to someone in the store. Once I did, they placed me on hold for over 20 minutes and then then they hung up while I was on hold. This then started an hour cycle of calling the call center and trying to get through with no luck. The call center said they are only allowed to try them twice per customer so I would have to hang up and call again to get though. So ridiculous! I have to repeat so much information every time I talk to a call center rep just to get nothing done. Was able to escalate a note to the store supervisor but who knows if I will ever get a call back from them. So sad as I needed this phone for an event this weekend and won't have it by then. You do have to buy the accessories or order to get the "free" stuff but it still saves you money and was totally worth our time. Beware! Don't buy in this store. The manager himself scammed me. He told me there was a bogo deal and he lied to me. I was supposed to have bought a new iPhone and got the lesser one for free. When my Verizon bill came it kept coming extremely high. Well when I spoke with billing they told me I was being charged for the second phone. There was NEVER WAS NO BOGO deal. Lies! Thankfully Verizon billing told me they had plenty of complaints about this happening before here at this location and helped me out with some discounts. Not a Verizon "Company store" but a store that is "authorized' to work with Verizon, so was less able to deal with the issues with my new phone that appear to have been caused by the salesperson. The salesperson while setting the new phone up, removed the SIM card from the new phone, my old phone AND my Wife's phone. Verizon customer assistance repeatedly told me that the SIM cards should not have been removed. It took us 8 hours (after almost 2 hours at the store) to get my wife's phone working again (she could not make a call after the SIM card was removed and re-installed) and to go back over to the Campbell Victra store for a new phone (the phone based Verizon customer service folks told me to not let the store remove the SIM card, but to have them give me a new phone and bring it home for them to help me set up over the phone. Here's a warning about going to any "Verizon authorized" store, and specifically the one in the Pruneyard shopping center here in Campbell, California. About to embark on what I hoped would be a trip of a lifetime -- 30 days in Southeast Asia, vacationing and researching retirement destinations -- I learned I would need an unlocked phone for which I could buy sim cards in each location so I could communicate locally to make transportation arrangements, reservations, etc. Rather than risk the potential pitfalls of buying a phone in another country, I put my trust in the Verizon dealer in the Pruneyard Shopping Center. They sold me a phone they assured me was unlocked along with a prepaid plan. The total cost was $392. During the course of the transaction, I repeatedly asked the representative to confirm that the phone was unlocked, and I shouldn't have any issues adding sim cards. Each time, she assured me it was unlocked, and it wouldn't be a problem. In the Philippines, friends purchased the necessary sim card for me but the phone wouldn't work. I took it to a reputable dealer who informed me the phone was locked and could not be unlocked by them. I had to spend hours of my vacation time talking with Verizon prepaid to see if they could unlock the phone remotely or otherwise help me out. They could not. They did advise me to go back to the store and get a refund because they had misrepresented the product they sold me. Eventually I bought the same model phone and prepaid plan for a total of 150.00 in Thailand. By the time I could get to the Pruneyard Verizon store, I was a few days past the 30 day return window. Despite what Verizon corporate had told me, the manager of the store in the Pruneyard shopping center told me I wasn't entitled to anything, and that I had no written proof of what the salesperson had told me. Does anyone usually have that, I wondered? In the interest of "customer relations" purposes, he agreed to give me a refund that, after deducting a variety of fees and charges, came to $145. So basically, they pocketed $246 for a locked phone that was useless to me (and caused me no small amount of trouble on my trip) and that they could now unlock and resell. Verizon could not help because the store, although sporting a big Verizon sign, is not actually part of the company. The salesperson in Thailand was more trustworthy than my local Verizon store. In Thailand they declined to sell me a more expensive phone because they were worried it wouldn't work in the states. This is the first negative review I've ever posted (you can see my others, they're all positive), but this whole experience left me feeling not just annoyed, but downright ripped off and I feel it necessary to warn others that individual Verizon stores like this one are not necessarily under the control of the Verizon corporate office. Gianni (I think that's his name) picked up my just-before-closing phone call when I was desperate to get a SIM card for my craigslist purchase of an iPhone. He told me that getting a new SIM for my phone would be super fast and easy- and it was! He was an absolutely hilarious relief from my stressful day, and it was an effortless and quick procedure. I am so happy that he was able to help me despite my betrayal of Samsung (temporary, I swear) and 7:30 arrival. The endless jokes and overall cheerfulness was exactly what I needed after my phone decided to quit without notice, and I left much happier than I arrived. It was free (yay!) for the installation even though the phone bill is a bit overdue... shhh... Twice ripped off here...shame on me I guess. First time I signed up, the sales lady sold me a contract and lied about getting a rebate at the end of the term. The manager knew that the employee lied (she said the sales rep did this to other clients) so said they would take care of me on the second contract and assured me I would be taken care of. They also said they would only do this if I removed/upgraded my negative Yelp review so take those positive reviews below with that in mind. On my second contract, I paid for the insurance plan that included two screen replacements and a new phone if this was lost or damaged. I sadly dropped the phone and it stopped working (crashes every 30 minutes) after having for just over a year. When I went to get my replacement, she said they would not honor my contract saying that the phone had to be stolen or damaged beyond use - something they conveniently neglected to share when I bought the contract. She then said it was my fault for dropping the phone. These guys seriously suck. They do not care about the customer and will lie about what you can get on their contracts then back track when you try to use. Avoid, avoid, avoid...or find out the hard way. My $.02. read more

Total bait and switch!! Do yourself a favor and go to an actual Verizon corporate store and not an "authorized retailer". I went in to upgrade phones and they pushed a free tablet promo. Same deal as other reviewers stated. They said it was completely free but they never show you the cost breakdown in person. What you actually sign up for is a 2 year tablet agreement with a $50 activation fee plus a $20 set up fee plus $10 monthly service charges. So yeah, nothing is free even if they are saying it straight to your face. Liars! I went to return it citing their shady sales practices and was told I am past their 14 day return policy (by 4 days) and they can't do anything. read more

This place has very shady and lies to their customers for sales. This is a retailer store and NOT a corporate store, so you've to be careful with what you do since they NEVER show you what they're doing. They'll verbally tell you oh we can save you 20 dollars a month, but when you look at the statement, it'll be a different story. That's what I've been told by them as well until I consulted with the official Verizon representative. They charged me a 130 dollars (70 restocking fee when I returned) for accessories that they claimed were a part of a promotion that would offset a "activation fee" (google it is 20). I didn't even know the sales stuck a screen protector onto my phone and charged me for it. I'd rather spare 70 bucks to a home less guy than this shady and lying store that is telling customer one lie after another. At least a homeless is keeping it real, they're poor and not trying to rob me. Read their store return policy I've posted, the official Verizon representative told me charging to restock accessories is unheard of especially when you return every single piece of item. Avoid these petty stores. Save your money for a home less instead. Oh don't even bother speaking to the manager because he tells you the same lies. Josh not only uploaded the photos to my computer, but he also wrote down the instructions for me and made sure I understood how to do the task on my own. Not wanting to go back to the other location, I chose to go to this one instead - and I'm very glad I did. Omar Eldesouky was the representative to help me. He made me feel right at home, and outlined all of my options clearly and concisely (even though his handwriting is pretty terrible, haha). Darren was helpful, but I made sure that this offer can apply to us. He said YES, absolutely. We finished the transaction and my wife got the iPhone 6. Based on the promo, the iPhone should've been $449.00 ($649.00 - $200.00). The monthly Edge plan should be $18.70. A few weeks later we get mail from Verizon that our Edge monthly plan would be $27.08 a month. I went back to Darren to see if we can fix this. Apparently not. According the manager (Omar), the promo is confusing and that the transaction and monthly edge plan is correct. What bugs me is that I specifically asked Darren if this promo was legitimate. He said it was. He tried calling corporate, and corporate said they couldn't fix this. Lady from corporate said the email promo is not valid??? THIS STORE SCAMMED ME OUT OF $129.70 FOR PREPAID SERVICE AND LEFT ME WITHOUT PHONE SERVICE WHEN I LEFT THE STORE! I came to the store at 6:30pm, a half an hour before the store closed. I asked if I could buy a prepaid sim card so I could activate prepaid service at home, since I knew they were closing soon. The guy who helped me, German, said he could but that they had to set it up in the store. He asked for my relavant information and started setting up the account. I asked if I could port my number over and he said I would have to contact customer service. The total came to $129.71. When I asked him why it was so much, he said there was a $50 activation fee on top of the $75 I was already paying for service. Umm, what?! I've never paid a $50 activation fee for prepaid service, and this seemed really fishy to me, but I wasn't in a mood to argue so I paid the balance and left the store. Upon leaving, I checked my phone to see if I was getting service. There were signal bars in the corner of the screen to indicate signal strength, but I wasn't receiving any service whatsoever (I wasn't getting any kind of LTE signal). I thought maybe I had to do something on my end so I started going through my settings, but alas I still could not get service. When I came to the store the next day to try and get this resolved, the store was not open. They were supposed to have opened at 10am. As of writing this, it is currently 1:30pm in the afternoon, and last I checked 15 minutes ago they still were not open. So they don't even observe their own store hours! What a joke! I ended up having to go to another Verizon store (GoWireless in Campbell). The lady who helped me at that store, Rasha, was extremely apologetic and was able to set me up with service no problem, was able port my number over (unlike the last guy who helped me), and best of all, did not charge me an activation fee. In fact, she told me I shouldn't have even been charged this activation fee in the first place! I'm really hoping someone from corporate sees this review and can get in touch with me about this, as I am very upset that I was charged $75 on top of a bogus $50 activation fee for service I never even received. read more
