I recently made an appt. to the Bressi Ranch Verizon Dealer, Victra, to purchase a new phone. I had called ahead and spoke to Darrell McQuarter, Manager of the store. I told him I had visited five other Verizon stores and none of them seemed that user-friendly, so I needed someone who could be patient and explain the new phone. He told me he would be glad to assist me. I went the next day, Darrell McQuarter is everything you need an associate to be, his patience, kindness, and going-the-extra-mile effort, was absolutely phenomenal. Darrell's manner, attitude, and patience, are exactly what is needed to manage a store, and he does it in spades. This will definitely be my store in the future. I love Verizon as my carrier, and now I have Darrell who manages a store to cover all my other needs. I deeply appreciate his professionalism, and he is the kind of employee that is a credit to his family, the company, and a blessing to me. FRUSTRATION doesn't even come close to my experience with this "Verizon store". Ok can we start with, this is not an official Verizon store? It is a "4G Wireless Premium Retailer"....which is not a Verizon store at all. They want you to think they are and the sign says Verizon, but they are a substandard knock off store. The "salespeople" would best be described as spineless scammers. Can you say, used car salesmen, who lost their jobs and got hired here. That's what these rip off artist are. As other reviews state, the customer service is horrendous, but worse than that, is the unethical, underhanded and down right unscrupulous manner, in which they try to "set you up" and "get you a better deal". My "shark" took 3 hours to get me my upgrade phone, and fill out paperwork.....no exaggeration!! One of those hours was him inadequatly doing the paper/computer work. The other two were spent trying to up sell, confuse and manipulate me. Even going so far as to tell me that if he reached his upgrade goal he would get an Olive Garden gift card....ok, you're kidding me right now....Olive Garden gift card?? I wasted all of this time so you could "win" that?? We should have started out our encounter with you telling me that, I would have given you a freaking gift card for your dinner. I would have been better off....I would have saved my time (very valuable) and tons of frustration!! You would have saved your time (didn't seem to be that valuable since you wasted it, and in the end, it got you nowhere) and all of the horrible word of mouth advertising that you will continue to receive!!! This used to be a good store but since they changed management the place has gone down. The people of Bressi Ranch do not like it when people alter their lovely strip mall. The service is lack luster and its not very busy, so every customer counts. You would think that would be their motto, but I got a different feeling entirely. The new manager likes to play games and lie to you in your face. Don't make promises you can't keep and put people off for a week it will only get worse. My receipt is a binding piece of law and I could have used that but I decided just to take my business elsewhere because that is the best medicine for a place like this. It is also not good when the kids working there are smarter than the manager but lets just say him being red in the face when the kid taught him a lesson about returns was priceless. Getting a job through relationships will only hurt the company. Good Luck! read more

I first visited this store several months ago to upgrade my phone. At the time, my husband and I were so frustrated with poor experiences at other Verizon stores that we were thinking of switching carriers. The excellent service that we received from Andrew at this location is the reason we are still with Verizon today. When my parents (who are in their late 60s and a bit technologically challenged) needed to upgrade their phones, I told them that they had to go to this specific Verizon store (even though there are several closer to their home) because I was confident that they would receive the same level of service that I did. Cory and Scott did not disappoint! They took great care of my parents and were very patient in explaining everything to them and helping them to find the best options for their needs. This is truly the worst Verizon store I have ever dealt with. We are an account with 15 phones and all's we asked was to have a phone number from a different carrier ported over to a new Verizon phone. This was on Dec 9th and it never happened. Today is now January 5th and they still can not tell me why it has not taken place. The Verizon business and they tell me I have to pay another $40.00 to have other phone turned back so they can switch it. If they would have taken care of this by December 28th at least we would not have to pay more money. I have talked to 3 people at this location and just get the run around. My experiences at this store in 2014-2015 would equate to 0 stars. However, my recent experiences with Jason T in 2016 have been truly positive experiences. He deserves 5 stars! He has all the ideal qualities that an employee should strive for when working in customer service. He is friendly, kind, sincere, understanding and professional. Wow. I concur with the bad reviews. Last Saturday Jan 30 I was in a rush to get an iPhone upgrade and was persuaded to change plans to lower my monthly bill. I thought I could trust what the salesperson was saying because two years ago I had a good experience here. I was offered a miFi portable hotspot free of charge with assurances that service for the device would not add to my bill. Wrong. My bill jumped up by $50 per month. I was in serious need of a new phone and decided to stop into this store last week because I was eating at Rubios and it's a lot smaller than the one in Encinitas so I figured I might get better customer service than from the pompous little twerps at that ENC location, and I was more than right! I wanted a new Iphone 6 and decided on the white/gold and Keifer told me they didn't have it in stock but they told me they could get it in a couple of hours. When does that happen that someone goes out of their way to accommodate you!?! I was shocked. Sure enough I called in 2 hours and it was there so I went back and Keifer and Ameen transferred everything for me and looked into my plan and found a better one for me and told me I was eligible for the Edge program and with the new plan I would actually be paying less than I was paying now...including the monthly equipment charge for the 64GB phone vs. the 16. AND then when they were ringing me up and Ameen said I'd be better off with another promotion. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience with both of them, it's hard to find people in customer service that actually have customer service skills, these guys rock! read more

I have been a Verizon customer for 9+ years and I have never encountered a more helpful and personable associate than Ameen. He took his time and explained things fully to me and was extremely knowledgeable and honest. In the end he helped my wife and I upgrade our phones and get a tablet while saving money on our monthly bill! Then he looked further and found us a mail in rebate for our purchase. I will be seeing Ameen from now on for all of my verizon needs and questions. read more

I am extremely satisfied and happy with my recent experience at the Verizon Store last week. I was a complex transaction as I had to switch carriers (AT&T reliability was bad at my house), but I was still in a contract with one phone, had to select new phones, understand usage plans, and needed the Verizon rep, Slate, work with my son, who is in college out of state to get his phone up and running, etc. Both Slate and Cody, whom I had the pleasure of working with were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. My partner also has some questions on his Verizon account and they were able to easily assist him as well. I wished I had switched carriers much sooner. It was so easy. My friend recommended that I visit them and I am glad I did, thanks Slate again for taking this "to do" on my list! You really took care of me and I am very appreciative. read more

"Bummer." My wife upgraded to the new Samsung 4G phone (from an iPhone, based on my "technical" advice) only to find out that the nice manager/sales guy pulled a fast one. When I confirmed what was done by a Verizon company store (they disabled the visual voice mail in an attempt to get me to pay $3 a month for it through them) I had her take it back ASAP. And, unfortunately for this store, technical guys do not like it when you try to play amatuer games with them. Therefore this review: AVOID. Low-level service showing up in the form of dishonesty. Over the past five years, I have found the staff at this store to listen carefully to my needs, freely offer tips to make the most of my service plan, and advise me of available discounts and savings. I am very grateful to the advisors here who happily take the time to trouble shoot and assist with cumbersome tasks like switching data to a new phone purchase and navigating through the ins and outs of corporate policies. I have been thinking about switching to other carriers to take advantage of lower priced plans but I feel it would be a detriment to go without the quality customer service and product knowledge offered by the employees of this store. The manager Erik is unprofessional , nonchalant to annoying levels and plan rude. 1) he didn't ask to help while in his store. Others like Pat went out of there way to help. Unfortunate for me I went up to Erik. 2) He ignored most questions but the 3) kicker was he actually helped two other people while he was suppose to be researching my contract info. When asked why he is not finishing what he started he actually pretended not to hear. I finally got ticked off and someone quickly took over and did the rest as they saw my frustration level. I mentioned to guy now helping me I wanted to complain about the guy that refused to give me his name and asked Pat who was now helping who the manager was - he pointed to Erik. Wow. The guy now arguing with an elderly lady about a bill was a manager!. I will drive a few miles further to avoid a place like this that hires unskilled and unprofessional managers that shouldn't be anywhere else other than delivering pizza. read more

My experience is with one of the employees of this store, who wasn't working at the store at the time, but I feel like he deserves kudos. I happened across the Verizon Wireless booth at the Del Mar Fair because they were advertising the Hum, which I've seen advertised and I was interested in the information about it since I have a teenager getting her driver's license. I came across two Verizon representatives, one of them being Isiah who usually works at the Bressi Ranch location. Isiah was so supportive of the other employee who was helping me and even though the two normally work in different stores, they had an amazing rapport with each other and helped each other through transactions. They were a great team. Isiah was so nice and polite and provided excellent customer service. I hardly ever see service like that anywhere anymore and I think it should be recognized. I'm hoping to get in touch with Isiah's boss to let them know as well. If you stop in Bressi Ranch, ask for Isiah. read more

Wow! Where to start? Bad experience, bad customer service, misleading information, not a true Verizon store but imply that they are. The manager of this store is extremely rude. Christian Guzman, "Lead Wireless Consultant", inaccurately activated my new iPhone5s and I was without text and email for days. Returned and waited so long for help that I had to leave and go to another Verizon store for correction. Mr. Guzman sold me the Ellipsis tablet under the special "no cost" promotion. I did not need it as I have 2 iPads but asked him if I could give it as a gift and let the giftee activate it and he said "yes, of course." Imagine my surprise when my bill arrived and there is the activation fee!! I called immediately and he said they would not reverse it as I was beyond the allowed 14 day return policy. I could not return it sooner as my bill, which was the first indication that I was charged, didn't arrive until beyond the "allowed" 14 days. A TRUE Verizon store allows the return if in original packaging, with receipt, and if never turned on or used-as mine was. I have been calling this store weekly to get this resolved as I was told that their Account Manager, Veronica, was the only one who could do the reversal and she was on vacation. I have not received a single return call and finally spoke with the rude manager, who would not let me contact Veronica. He was incredibly rude. Bottom Line-they lie, they are rude, GO ELSEWHERE!!!!! read more

Horrible store and horrible management! The manager Slate Riley is the worst "manager" i have ever experienced! Here is a run down of my issue with this store. I went in to do an upgrade they took my old phone and apparently sent it to the wrong location and now I am being charged for a device I don't even have anymore. Brought this attention to Slate Riley and he said it would be an easy fix all he had to do was email his account manager and they would credit my account. That was a month ago and nothing has happened he doesn't return calls or emails and probably doesn't even know how to fix it! I have had to escalate this issue to verizon corporate, FCC and CPU and am also considering legal action. This store is terrible and I suggest you don't purchase anything from them because they do not stand by their word and will not fix any issues that come up with your bill even when it's their fault. Worst service ever! Nick, the sales associate, was very rude and misinformed me. I came in last night and upgraded my phone. I took the phone back this morning because they sold me a defected product in which the ringer was not working (issue with the speaker). I explained my issue with Nick and asked to exchange the phone with a new phone and he said he couldn't until the assistant manager arrives. He said to come back in one hour so I did. Apparently, the assistant manager still wasn't there but he said he can exchange the phone. I asked him to please replace the protective cover and he told me that I had to purchase a new one. I told him it wasn't my fault that he sold me a defective phone and it should be replaced for free (when i purchased the phone last night, the sales rep included the protective cover free of charge). After arguing, he finally told me that he needs an approval code from the assistant manager. I asked him if he can call him to retrieve the code and he said the manager's phone wasn't working. The assistant manager, Ameet, finally arrived and was able to remedy my situation. There was another associate (i forgot his name) who was very sweet and helpful. He called me when I left the store to apologize for Nick's behavior and said that if I need anything at all to contact him and he'll try his best to help. Verizon needs more associates like Ameet and this nice gentleman and less Nicks. Overall, Nick was very rude, obnoxious and uneducated about the company and should not be employed in sales. He does not know how to deal with customers in a respectful and understanding manner. read more
