I've been with Verizon for 9yrs. I'm happy with Verizon as my cell provider, although but in all honesty I've never had a good experience when visiting a store. I'm not tech savvy (at all,lol) and barely know how use my phone. I always tell them, hoping they will take pity on me and explain everything to me like I'm a 5 yr old. Sadly, they never have:(. It almost always feels like dealing with a car salesman, they rush me through things, don't explain how whatever I'm doing (upgrading,etc) will effect may change in my plan, etc. I end at home with a new phone fumbling my way thru and a new bill that has changes and I don't know why. Well, yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting this Verizon store. I'm new to the area, and it just happened to be in a shopping center I frequent. And I'm happy to report that my 9yr losing steak with Verizon stores has ended! I went to upgrade my phone. Not because I needed to, I just wanted to. I assumed I'd be paying full price for the new phone that I wanted and I was just fine with that. An early birthday present and one time extravagance for myself is how I justified it in my mind;) Ameen helped me. Not only is he one of the nicest guys I've ever met, he's efficient, knowledgeable, patient, funny...I could really just go on and on with the adjectives. All of this AND he drove to another store to p/u the phone I wanted that they didn't have in their stock, AND he saved me A LOT of money in spite of myself! Understaffed and full of it. My husband and I went in on a Saturday to upgrade his phone and were told that he could trade it in for the newest iPhone and receive $400 towards it, without altering the phone plan. We were told the offer ended on TUESDAY and decided to come back on Monday as we had a busy weekend and weren't able to make it back on Sunday. We came back on Monday only for the door to be locked during working hours. So I called and the girl said she was on her break but would be back in an hour, even though I could see her just sitting there. So we came back an hour later and ended up waiting 40 minutes for the one girl working there to tell us that the offer we were counting on lasting until Tuesday actually ended on Sunday and we wouldn't be able to trade in his phone without changing the plan or we would just have to pay $200 more to get the same thing. She then said they were told Saturday morning that the offer had been changed, which was the day that we went in and found out about the offer, so WHY WERE WE TOLD THAT WE HAD UNTIL TUESDAY?! Absolutely not okay to be told one thing that wasn't even true. Had we been told the correct information, my husband would have a new phone by now. Very unhappy with the employees lack of knowledge and giving false information. read more

A while back my mom bought my grandmother an iPhone in hopes of being able to FaceTime with her. unfortunately it was too "techy" for her and she refused to use it (or even let us show her how) so we brought her in to this store to find a phone that she might actually use. She's a bit hard of hearing and VERY stubborn so I knew this wouldn't be a great time and had been putting off going, but wow! I was worried for nothing! A sales associate named Darell helped us out and was so so great! He was so patient with us and ACTUALLY knowledgeable about all of the different phones and plans! My mom and my half deaf grandmother asked him every question under the sun and he answered every single one without getting frustrated or pushy about us making a decision. Even patiently repeating answers so my grandma understood. Seriously the nicest guy, he spent forever with us and by the end of it had totally won my grandmother over and she actually let him show her how to use the phone, and then, after allllllll of that, she decided to keep it!!! My mom and I were shocked. This was a bit more than a month ago, but I wasn't able to make it down to San Diego for Christmas because of work and was really missing my family yesterday but guess who FaceTimed me?! My grandmother! It made me think of Darell and so I just wanted to say thank you for inadvertently bringing a family together for Christmas! read more

The worst service that you can expect. Worst not only compare to other phone companies, but to any type of business. Avoid this store and Verizon at all cost! AT&T has way better service. The few dollars that I tried to save for switching provider was not worth it. 1. 10:30 AM. I went to the store to change my plan in person and I was told only the manager can do this. I was told the manager won't be in until 1PM. I left my number and asked the manage to call me when he comes in 2. 1:30 PM. No one called me, I called the store asked for the manager, and I was told that the the manager was "in a meeting"! 3. 2 PM. I drove to the store again. I was told the manager "probably went out for lunch" I sit and waited for over 30 minutes. I asked the sales person to page the manager. The first sales told me the manager authorized him to change my plan for me. 2 minutes later, another sales person told me the manager told him that only manager can change plan, I need to come back to the store when the manager is there after 5 PM. I asked them to tell the manager to call me as soon as he comes in to the store. 4. 5:28 PM. No one called, I called the store again, the sales said he had no idea when the manager will be back. 5. 5:30 PM. I called Verizon support, the nice support person Chad put me on hold and tried to reach the store, he talked the the store sales but still no one knows where the manage was. 6. Chad from Verizon support called me to check if the store manager has contacted me, he agreed that it was unbelievable and unacceptable when I told him that no one from the store has contacted me. Chad will try to call the store for me tomorrow. Now I am still waiting for someone to contact me because this is the last day of the 14 days that I can change my plan with Verizon. read more

What a weird experience. I was just stopping by before going to Peets coffee next door to find out if switching from T-Mobile would make sense. The two sales associates were busy so I sat down. One of the sales associates said they'd be with me shortly, no biggie, I had my computer with me. I waited for about five minutes trying to get their wifi to work (only later to find out that it wasn't working, not a good sign for a wireless service provider) all the while listening to the two separate conversations going on with the two customers currently being "helped". The woman was questioning if she had been overcharged and whether or not she should have "edged up" and the other gentleman was asking which option for an upgrade made more sense, the newer "Edge" program ($40/month device charge for 24 months) or just to simply pay a one time fee of ~$400 on his existing plan for a new device (thinking iPad). Lets see here, $40 X 24 = $960, versus ~$400 subsidized fee, ding ding ding, I think we have a winner. Only the sales associate (who identified himself as the store manager, more on that later) was trying to make the cheaper upgrade option seem like it would actually be the same cost as the "edge" program because the customer would have to pay an upgrade fee of $30 plus continue to pay his $40/month service fee. So over the course of the same two years, you'd be looking at $400 (device) + $30 (upgrade) + $960 (service) = $1390! Well, when you compare that to $960, he's right, it's a lot more. The only issue is he was including the service fee which he'd continue paying one way or another. The gentleman tried to point this out only to be told by the store manager that he was trying to "educate" the customer. At that point, I had heard enough, I stood up and simply stated the obvious, the customer wanted to know what new charges he'd be paying if he upgraded his device (the $400 versus the $960). The sales manager didn't take kindly to be teamed up against and asked that I sit down. The gentleman smartly left the store, at which point I should have followed. So now it was my turn. The associate was now visually distressed and it came through in his approach to helping me with my question. I asked if I could have the store owner's contact information at which time he said no. I continued with my questions, their plans are about 15-20% more expense than T-Mobile but to be honest the service upgrade is probably worth it, only I won't be taking my business to this store simply for their approach to customer service represented not only by my experience but by the other two interactions I saw in person with current customers. To the Store Owner: I was going to chalk this up to a bad day for your store but from the reviews on Yelp, this seems to occur too often to be a one-time write-off. read more

WORST. So dishonest. Gave me a stupid hotspot device with the package with my new iPhone and neglected to mention that there is a monthly fee, an activation fee, and a TWO YEAR CONTRACT. They don't even do two year contracts for phones anymore. Then they lied and told me I could bring it back and the worst that would happen is that I wouldn't get my activation fee back. Now they are saying maybe it can't go back at all and I am stuck in a contract for the piece of crap. WORST. Stay away. read more

We live in Carlsbad, CA 92009, and use the Verizon store at Bressi Ranch, the Gateway location. The past few times my wife and I have separately gone in for support, we each have had HORRIBLE service. No one acknowledges us when we enter the store. Even when the staff behind the counter are not attending to customers they don't look up or ask "how can I help you?" I've waited close to 10 minutes without anyone even noticing I was in the store. Finally, I asked if they were busy so they would help me. When I finally did receive some help, it was if I were bothering them and they had better things to do. BUYER BEWARE - They lied to us and told us that we had to spend $$$ on accessories in order to qualify for a special deal on a new iPhone. Later discovered it was NOT TRUE, they charged the standard Verizon amount for phone and made us spend $100 in accessories that day. I didn't want to do it but we were in a hurry and figured all stores were the same. Now I know that's not true at all. Do yourself a favor and go to CostCo or a corporate store. We had the worst experience at this store yesterday. First, we learned that this is not a Verizon Store. This is a 4G Wireless store. They are so incredibly rude and after 2 hours of going and coming back, they hadn't even touched the phone we needed help with. Eric would not give us the owner or the manager's name. I have had good experience talking to knowledgeable employees here before, but recently, I had a bad experience at this store. This is not a true Verizon store even though it looks like one. The store is a Verizon Premium Retailer. I found that this is an important distinction when I went into the store to sign my new Galaxy Note 3 up for warranty service. I got the impression that the employees and manager either don't know what's going on with Verizon services and offerings, or they are intentionally deceptive. I went into the store to sign up for Total Equipment Protection, which for my Note 3 costs $7.99 / month and has a $99 deductible. Instead, they tried to sign me up for some other coverage (not through Verizon) that I have never heard of for for $$ / month with a higher deductible. I told them that I just wanted the Verizon coverage and they seemed confused and didn't seem to understand what I was talking about. Even the manager didn't understand. I left the store and just called Verizon on the phone to get the service activated. Going into this store was just a waste of time. read more

I went to the Verizon store because my i phone case that I bought at an AT&T store broke. I am actually an AT&T customer, but to be honest with you Victor would take me over to the other side of a Verizon customer . This speaks volumes!!!!!!. Victor greeted me with enthusiasm and professionalism and proceeded to show me several iPhone cases for my iPhone 8+. I asked for the case that had the most protection , he let me try on a few cases, and even showed me the screen protector that cost $50 but if you break your iPhone screen ; the protective screen company will give you $100 to fix it, also if you crack the i phone screen protector all you have to do is spend six dollars and the screen protector company will send you a new iPhone screen protector! I thought that was an amazing deal however it was a little bit out of my budget for the day. I really appreciate customer service and I have to say Victor truly made my day . He took the time to fill my need, and also gave me a life lesson through his wisdom. I feel that I was well taken care of and if I lived in San Diego I would want to be his friend. read more

Don't go here unless you are stupid and like to be taken advantage of. When my husband and I went to this Verizon store a couple of weeks ago, my husband wanted to purchase the Iphone 6. The sales person stated that they didn't have any and that we should buy the Iphone 5 for over 700 dollars. When we questioned the price we were told that because the iphones were so popular that there weren't deals to be had. We were told that there wasn't a difference between the iphone 5 or 6 and the 5 was proven. Their deal seemed fishy. I went to the Apple store where there were multiple colors and choices available for the iphone 6. We signed the 2 year contract with Verizon there and payed $400 plus for a iphone 6. So we purchased the iphone 6 at the Apple store and saved $300. If we had purchased to the Verizon store we would have been talked into a phone that we really didn't want and been out $300 read more
