Bad service. Slow service. I hate when companies get so big and controlling that customer service becomes a fleeting consideration. I've been in this store a handful of times and the waits are always long, the reps have lackluster attitudes and the overall experience negative. The other options in cell service are just as bad so why even consider switching? The whole industry has the consumers on a short leash and it shows. Worst customer service ever. However the phone CSRs are the best. They really know how to fix problems, and go over board to help you. The stores... (i use two locations and both are the same. Pompous sales people, not interested in helping. Run from this place ... They act like used car salesman. I have given THEM many opportunities- My account for many years was flawless - paid on time, with good service from Verizon. March 2017 was switched to business account - plus many new items added to the account - everything went south then. The Business account is the worst - It was more than 2 months before i see a bill that was a bit less 2 times the amount i was quoted**. Then past due charges on top of that. I had auto pay for many years and with the change, they took it off. So I was to pay the bill once i got it and set up auto pay again. But Without a bill one can not pay. Since I did not have a bill. I did not pay. The response I got from the CSR at the store- "Well, you knew you had to pay the phone bill - why didn't you needed to call in and find out where your bill was?" REALLY? I run a well known video production company and studio in Arizona - I run a company, I do not wait to see if the 30+ venders I have, sends me a bill or not. To top it off they took off my insurance for the phone, that i have paid for over 10 years - Their response ? You told us to take it off. Not true - What business person would remove a small fee for insurance that is tax deductible to save a few dollars a month? The reason it was taken off was, that you all did not put it on!!! Then the manager of the store- back up the CSRs BS. Now your management team are all liars. Covering the CSR's mistakes. This all came up when I lost my phone I just purchased cash for 25 days earlier and had to pay for a new phone. So my phone now cost me $1500+ Horrible untruthful back peddling CSRs- They point fingers at everyone else but themselves. VERY VERY poor service . I will try and keep it simple: ask to be helped by either Chet or Rigo, if either Brandon or R.J. approaches you then ask for someone else or come back later! My brother and I preordered the Galaxy S8 and traded in our perfectly working, very well kept S6's to get the 15/month trade in value. Mind you this was while switching from Sprint for the last ten years to Verizon so it was a lot going on. Brandon helped us with our new phones and setting the plan up, doing the trade ins, everything that comes with being a new customer and then going through the promotion. Well, that is where it went south, way south. Brandon gave us $110 gift card to use for our trade-ins and did not apply to 15/month. Not only that but through this process I was there for 3 hours and he had to go ask a coworker for help about every 5 minutes and at one point he took a customer phone call and went on pause with us for 20 minutes. We left with these gift cards even though he was adamant that the trade-in would apply in 3 months. Nope, found out later he didn't even apply the trade-in credit and just gave us the gift cards. Turned out to be a total mess. We went back in and talked to Rigo where he was incredibly helpful, recognized Brandon totally screwed up the whole trade-in promo, and attempted to resolve getting the promo appropriately applied to both of our lines. Well he got one applied but not another. Although I still had to go through customer service to correct it all I still recommend Rigo because he was very professional, personable and actually seemed to know what he was doing. All in all, I have had to go into this store 3 times and call customer service 6 times in order to get this whole trade-in promo correctly applied as it should have been. I have wasted so much time with this whole fiasco that should have been done right from the start, Brandon set me on a downhill path with this whole thing. Either he was new, didn't know what he was doing, or didn't care but either way it all went way wrong. Which leads me to R.J. Long story short, I called the store directly seeking help with this whole matter. He answers the phone with just a "Hello" and I said "Is this the Verizon store?" He said "Yeah." which was really weird there was no formal "Hello this is Verizon" type answer. After he told me he could not tell me any account stuff over the phone (policy, unrecorded phone call, etc. which made sense) I was surprised because I called another store prior and that person told me anything about my account. When I said this he said, "Well it was probably because you were in-person in the store." Um, no I was definitely on the phone. He became so defensive on the phone he literally ended by saying, "If you have any questions you can call customer service, click." He hung up! Just like that he hung up on me. So unprofessional and rude. I called back and spoke with Tom the manager who was seemingly concerned with what happened and said he would have a conversation with R.J. Whether he did or didn't, I don't know but the other Yelp review I came across regarding R.J. and how rude he is, is spot on, do not deal with him! 2 month later, after all the time I had to waste going into the store or on hold with customer service the trade-in credits finally got fixed. That is absolutely ridiculous and should never be the case, 2 months! It finally hit the point that we were ready to go back to Sprint and be done with Verizon. In 10 years with Sprint, I NEVER had this kind of experience. read more

This will be my last contract with Verizon. I just bought the droid razr. I did not get any kind of a deal for signing to a new contract after being eligible for an upgrade. Not only that but when I went to Costco the phone was cheaper. When I went into the Verizon store in Chandler to inform them of this they said "Oh yeah, we know that" then snickered. Oh wow, nice reaction!!! "We ripped you off and think it's funny" Not only that but at the same time I bought the Xoom as a gift. Don't tell me you don't throw in a few extra's every now and then. My boyfriend needed a new phone because his phone completely shattered when it "fell", mostly thrown at the wall because the phone was so slow. We were immediately greeted and put on a waiting list which was about a 35 minute wait but we didn't mind. It was really busy. Alex the manager helped us and let me tell you, he was so helpful and lead us through the new plan we were getting. He stopped at nothing to make sure we got out of there with what we needed. The short review: Customer service reps are generally helpful, but the sales guy is a scammer. Watch out and be sure you ask all questions anticipating any situation or they will make sure it always works only to their advantage and not to the customer's. Now the long review...here's what happened to us: I got a phone on my normal upgrade time. I wanted one with a keyboard. NOT a touchscreen, since I'd had problems with a previous touchscreen phone. They sold me an LG ENV3 at a different location. However, I had to buy a data package. Had to. Apparently it was the Verizon Law. I bought the cheapest I could--$10/month. I barely used the data package, because the screen was too small for you to see anything on any web browser. It's NOT a smartphone. just a regular phone. Ripoff #1 for this series of events. About a year and a half later, I visit this particular location by Chandler Mall. The helpful customer service rep mentioned that perhaps I'd like to check into a smartphone. I told him what features I used and was looking for (including a full keyboard) and he showed me the one I could get when my plan was up or upon early upgrade time. Maybe a month later, my phone started giving me problems. It wasn't working right. I went back in, looking for the same helpful guy, thinking I could give him the sale. He was off, and he wasn't a sales person. I told the manager how helpful he was, anyway, in case his raise was coming up or bonus time or something. They gave me another sales person. He informed me that they were having a buy 1, get 1 free sale on the smartphones I was looking at. Oh, but because of this sale, they were out of stock--phone on backorder. They could order it to be shipped to my house. It would take about 8 days. 8 days without a phone? No. He suggested that I use an old one. I had no old one. He then convinced me that there was the exact same phone w/o a keyboard..and NO ONE wanted the keyboard phones now; they were becoming obsolete. He was skeptical at first, but he got used to the touch-screen keyboard and was sure I would, too. Ok, I relented, since I felt like I had to get SOMEthing. I asked if I could get the free one as the other one on backorder and they just ship it to me. No, he said. I took the phone home, without instructions, figuring there must be a user guide--there always was before. No. Just a quickstart guide. not even a tutorial online. I had to ask my facebook friends how to do things. 6 mos later, I still was having a hard time typing. I actually called a few months before that to ask the store if I could trade my other phone, never removed from the box, for the one I originally wanted. "Has it been more than 14days?" yes, I said. "Then, no, there's nothing you can do". So, I got so disgusted one day that I went online to chat with a cust svc rep online. He told me to call and even though the store couldnt' do anything, cust svc COULD get me a different phone. I called. A very helpful guy told me that the stores have loaner phones and he should have offered me one of those until my phone came in. OR, he could have offered to sell me a really cheap phone and return it in the 14day window. AND, he most certainly COULD have given me the other phone as my 2nd phone and had it shipped to me. Unethical of the salesman, but nothing cust service could do except recommend that I sell my other new phone on Craigslist and use that $ to get an early upgrade approved by cust svc for the phone I wanted. FYI we had been Verizon customers for 10 years at this point. I chose not to do that. I chose to change cell phone companies with more ethical salespeople. I also called cust service later to ask them some question, and they asked me about my son's phone, and I said he can't use the data package, (same as my ENV3) and so he never uses it. They said, you dont' have to have the data package. If you block all data, we will cancel the fee for the data package! Apparently this had always been an option, but not one salesperson from Verizon had ever told me this (including the abovementioned unethical one who also activated the other ENV3 we had gotten from my son's aunt for him to have). Enter this store if you need to purchase something at your own risk. If you're just looking, it should be ok. read more

I had a great experience at this store earlier this week. I had an iPhone with a manufacturer defect. I took it to the Apple store first--big mistake. Apple made me wait for a half hour (even though I had a scheduled appointment). They took a 15 second look at my phone, determined that I was 2 months outside of the warranty, and told me to buy a new iPhone at full price. Not. Cool. Enraged, I went to this Verizon store across the street from Chandler Mall. The sales staff was very helpful and respectful of my frustration with my device. They took a quick look at my plan, saw that I had device protection (who knew? Guess I should read my bill more carefully!) They got a new replacement phone mailed to me within two days. Completely painless. I thought it would be a cold day in Hell before I got better service from Verizon than from Apple, but I'm very happy I was wrong. read more

The customer service here was a mixed deal. The manager could have changed my perspective of this location, unfortunately there was no communication of any sort between her and I. So let's begin. My boyfriend and I came in one night just to take a look at the phones. I was almost ready for the end of the month upgrade so I wanted to see which phone I would want and if there is a possibility of upgrading early. Well, Annmarie was very nice and broke down the options we had. She was very helpful and even informed us about the $200 credit we would get if we turned in any type of smart phone. However, my boyfriend didn't have an early upgrade he needed to turn in both his current phone and an additional smart phone. She had us sold so we went and searched for phones left and right. My boyfriend went in the next day and got his phone, unfortunately he was unable to get the $200 credit because he was not ready for the upgrade. So, that was just one small mishap where we received the wrong information from a representative. My bf was a bit annoyed at the fact that we were told the wrong information over a $200 credit he was already looking forward to use on additional accessories. That afternoon, I went ahead and came in at about 3:50pm ish and there was definitely a lot of people. So I got checked in by ... I think his name is Cory, not exactly sure, but it started with a "C". I looked around for about 10 minutes and decided to ask the representative about how long it would take. He said it would be about 30 minutes. So I went ahead and walked around and decided to have a seat. Around 5:00pm I saw the place getting bit emptier and for some reason thought I was soon to be called. Well, 5:20pm hit and I decided to go ask another representative how long it would take, and [Cory] said, "She was here, and then she left and now she's back". I then said that I have been here and haven't left, I have been sitting and waiting since 4pm. Then he called Wayne to help me right away, just to find out that I was not eligible until the next day to upgrade and trade-in. I was irate, but I appreciated Wayne for putting my phone on hold and giving me his number to call him when I would be heading in. He also marked an appointment on his calendar to confirm that I am eligible before coming in. I asked if there was anything else they could do for me since I waited for over an hour, he said I could check tomorrow on discounts. David helped me the next day, which btw was amazing. I was definitely still upset about the day before so I let him know my situation and he said he would talk to the manager and see if she would offer anything for my convenience. Sadly, he said she was not able to provide any type of discounts. I knew it wasn't David's fault, but I was extremely bitter (I tried so hard not to show it). I have to say that I was very displeased with the service provided by the representative guy that checked me in the beginning and the manager. The rep could have checked before assuming I left, I don't even know how you thought I left without even checking. As for the manager, it would've been courteous of you to come and talk to me about the whole situation as well as being unable to provide any type of convenience discount. I honestly would have respected that. Everybody else was quite helpful, so thank you. As someone who has experience in customer service, managers have always put in 120% effort to provide customer service satisfactory. I am not here to tell you what to do, but your job is dealing with customers, and you definitely showed no compassion for your customers. read more

We purchased a phone for my daughter in August 2018. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and mostly they were conscientious of our time constraints (did not want to spend all day in the phone store). Very pleasant experience. No up selling either. Fast forward to Nov 2018 and I go to look up the record for AppleCare. I was having trouble on the apple site so I called the Verizon store. The rep Ebony answered the phone and was extremely helpful in locating the apple care info and also after investigating my bill realizing that I had not received credit from Verizon for a promotion back in August. Coury went above and beyond to help me with a problem that I was having with my phone while charging. While charging, I started getting frequent messages that I was using the wrong charger, and they became almost constant. He determined that it was not a software issue, as I was told, by a Verizon rep, at another store. I was told that I was going to have to wipe the phone and do a factory reset. He plugged my phone into my own charger and saw the problem. He confirmed that it was the problem, by plugging my phone into an identical charger that he had. It worked fine. He gave me the charger that worked, and the phone has worked well and charging just fine. I believe in letting people know, when I get excellent customer service. If you have issues with Verizon call this number 1-800-779-2067. This is the executive team number. I have been trying to get a new phone since Nov of 2016. They have messed up my bills since then repeatedly. They have sent out replacement items which were not what I had originally ordered. They offered me credits but then the next month all the credits were gone. Finally in March of 2017 the actual phone I ordered showed up. It was a google Pixel XL, however they sent me a Otterbox and Glass for a Pixel not the XL. Furthermore they sent a replacement VR unit, but this was for a Samsung, not a google device. Then when I spent another two hours on the phone with them they offered me $350 in credit for two month of my bill. However my monthly bill is $133.00 they were charging me for phones I had not received and I have contracts showing that the phones were free. So if you want customer service don't go with Verizon. read more

I have been a loyal Verizon client for 8 years and have stayed because overall they have the best coverage and usually come to some type of agreeable solution when working with their customer service. While working through an issue with customer service (phone broke in transit and I'm being charged as if I broke the phone... which is impossible because it never left my AZ Cardinals Otter Box), they advised to go to my local store to resolve the difference between what customer service was willing to credit and what was remaining on my bill. When I walked in, RJ, was bent over at one of the kiosks texting on his phone, looked up at me as if I was bothering him, and asked how he could help (no smile, no welcome, no eye contact). I advised that I was sent to the store by customer service to resolve the issue and he immediately went on the defensive trying harder to "win the conversation" than resolve the issue. Most of our conversation was his lecture on why it's not his fault and why I need to work with customer service, instead of what it should have been which is a seek first to understand then find a win/win solution for all parties. Even if what he was saying was accurate, the fact that he took zero time to understand the situation (if he would have read the notes, he was the one that initially helped me place my warranty order with customer service, thus not wanting to admit my phone was in pristine condition when he saw it) while presenting in an arrogant and condescending manor only makes my experience that much worse. I've interacted with him on other transactions and left feeling less than pleased, but this was by far the worst experience I've had. If you are a new customer, I'm sure he will treat you better, but if you go to this store for service, do not work with RJ. The sample size is big enough for me to feel comfortable in knowing I didn't catch him on a bad day and he is not someone that represents the store or brand as expected. He will be 100% the reason I start looking to take my 3 lines elsewhere. read more

Ok first off I have been a long time, and I mean long time, customer of Verizon Wireless... I'm talkin 15 years! So a friend of mine tells me on June 27th that I need to use my upgrade by tomorrow (June 28th) in order to renew my current contract and retain my unlimited data package. I called Verizon's customer service that day, the 27th, and asked them if that was necessary and they told me no, that it wasn't necessary for me to upgrade right then and that my current plan wouldn't change at all. Specifically, my unlimited data plan. In an effort to cover all my bases I had my husband call and confirm this also. They told him the same thing, that nothing would change and that we did not need to upgrade until we wanted to. So fast forward to today, June 20th, I go into the Verizon store in Chandler on Frye road. The salesman tells me that upon upgrading I will need to decide on which new plan I would like to move to. I'm like, what?!?!?! I explained to him that I spoke with a Verizon representative back in June who assured me that I would not loose my current unlimited plan when I upgraded and signed the new 2 year contract. He told me, and these were his words, "Well, the lied to you"! WTH!!!!! I was majorly p'd off!!!!! I told him that I would not be upgrading anything until I called into the Verizon's customer service department to get this all worked out. So, I go home and we call and we get the same ol rigamarol from Terrence, the Verizon rep. Blah blah blah.... can I please speak to your manager... 15 minutes later (yes I was on hold for 15 minutes), Alisha the so called manager gets on the phone. She apologizes, not in a nice way, and says those plans are no longer available and that she can't help us. She says the reps did not know that the plans would no longer be available when we called in to ask the question. I call BS on that! I called one day before the new "plans" rolled out. You seriously ganna tell me that the Verizon reps were left in the dark on that one. I think not! Long story short, she gets mad at me for saying that the Verizon rep and that Verizon itself are liars and hangs up on me. I am now going to shop around and look for another cell service provider. I feel I have been lied to and that they don't give a damn about their customers. I refuse to pay anyone for that kind of service. Good luck to all of you who have not upgraded yet. read more

I would not and can not recommend the Verizon wireless store at Chandler Village Center. I went to up grade my wife's phone and was told it would be $2 per month for 24 months. When I got the first bill it was really $31.00 a month for 24 months. When I went back to the store the young lady that helped us said it was a miss understanding but my wife and I heard the same thing. She was willing to credits $48.00 but that was it. I asked to speak to the manager, Mike, he did come over but said there was nothing they could do. We all make mistakes at times, This was no mistake, I asked her several times if this was correct. This was their mistake not mine. The fact that they could care less is very disappointing to me. Because of this I will never deal with this store again, and strongly recommend no one else does either. read more

I like this store. But I'm not happy with my product. Customer service basically had their hands tied. .14 days clearly not enough time to evaluate a product. Thanks for your effort but I'm very unhappy. This phone is not even a month old, and malfunctions. I get locked out of my bank account. I can't take a square customer. I click on my emails they won't open. Texting is a chore. They could of bent the rules. I feel like someone there could of made an exception. Verizon needs a better policy and a better relationship with its vendors. You don't have to be like Walmart but you could be better than you are. This is clearly a manufacturing problem. I didn't buy my phone from Samsung I bought it from you. You should stand by it for longer than 14 days. Offering me a cap shoot refurbished phone is just plain wrong. I bought a brand new one I should get a brand new one. The former Samsung melted the back of the phone was scorching inside the Mophie case. I don't know if that was the Mophie case malfunctioning or the phone just getting too hot. But that phone should have been replaced instead I'm out about 600 bucks for this outfit. My headphones were broken within the time frame and I got them replaced barely. My G2 watch doesn't want to hold a charge and I shouldn't have to run it on black and white because I can't utilize any other color apps because its not working properly. All 3 things broke just past the 14 days all 3 things don't work properly. I don't treat my electronics poorly. That's visible. It's just so disgusting to feel so unappreciated as a consumer.
